By now she had calmed down, easing her urge to run. "Well, in that case thank you." She chuckled softly. "For stalking me." She padded once again to the cliff edge. "Come here." She took a seat, motioning to the heap of fresh kill beneath the cliff just sitting there. "The fox is killing all the prey." Her whiskers twitched. "It's an odd behavior... I've never seen anything like it until Iceclan was attacked." |

The deputy twitched his grey tail and frowned, looking down at the heap of fresh kill, he whsipered. "Do you think the fox would be nearby?" Stormfire asked, looking between Rainstar and the fresh kill.Stormfire leaped off the ridge and over to the fresh kill, sniffing it, the deputy realized it reeked of fox scent, he turned his head to Rainstar, "Theres no doubt that the fox is nearby, we have to be extra careful" Stormfire quickly stepped away from the fresh kill and bounded back to meet Rainstar. |

Flicking her tail, she stepped back, glancing at Stormfire. "There's a chance it's watching us." She said stiffly, turning around with her pelt bristled. As she spotted a pair of Amber red eyes, she stepped back onto the edge again. "And I believe we're it's next target." She bared her fangs, hatred for the beast growing faster by the second. |

The deputy noticed the gleaming amber eyes as well, backing away. The tom unsheathed his claws and the fur on his back elevated. "Well it won't get us that easily" he growled back, his eyes fixed on everything around him. Twitching at the slightist of movements from the bushes. |

Rainstar felt her pelt brush up beside Stormfire's and she almost jumped, forgetting he was there. "Stormfire, I'll distract it if you can ward it off. Mind the jaws." She didn't give him any time to reject her command before she launched herself at the fox, raking her claws across its muzzle. As it stumbled backwards, she kept its gaze on herself by basically leaping from side to side, dodging its claws. |

The tom nodded then waiting for the fox to focus on Rainstar, before he dashed out from behind and nipped the fox on the tail. Raking his claws down the foxes side, Stormfire jumped backwards and kept in line with the foxes tail so it couldn't face the cat. |
