((Obviously I don't know the characters as well as the people that RP them or the people that have seen them in action a lot, I was just going off of the key personality traits from the front page.. Like calmer cats together, optimistic cats with optimistic cats or insecure ones, stuff like that))

[[ Patience is shipping my characters when I haven't even RPed yet. Aww. So Sweet. xD ]]
CLOUDRIPPLE: Sitting farther back from most other cats at the meeting, the she-cat turned her gaze to her brother beside her not even a second after Rabbitstar had announced Fennelfur's death. "But... Fennelfur was the medicine cat... We don't have another, we don't even have an apprentice. What..." she paused, swallowing hard, "...what are we going to do?" Her desperate eyes searched her calm brother for an answer. It was the beginning of leaf-bare, the season of greencough and starvation, and it was beginning by losing their only medicine cat. For some reason, Cloudripple found herself worried out of her mind.
THUNDERFANG: Sensing his sister's gaze upon him, the tom just looked at Rabbitstar, listening to Cloudripple's frantic whisper of questions. He searched the leader's face for some sort of spark of hope, but there was none. Finally, his yellow gaze fell to his sister. "I... I dont know," was all he could say. Retreating into his mind, he just kept thinking about how they were stuck. No medicine cat to train any sort of apprentice that would have replaced him. His gaze drifted to Hawkpaw, who sat completely still to Cloudripple's left, eyes locked on Rabbitstar. He could see her ears moving to catch the comments of the other cats. He remained silent.
HAWKPAW: The apprentice didn't really know what to do. It's not that she didn't understand what was going on, because she did. She was smart. But even she couldn't figure out what to do now. She sat and listened to the hushed whispers and loud questions of the other cats, including that of her sister's, trying to pick up more information. Part of her felt sort of guilty for not being a medicine cat apprentice instead of a warrior apprentice. She knew it wasn't her fault, and she wouldn't have known. But things would have been different if she had maybe chosen a different path... She was completely silent and lost in the drone of the clan's chatter.

He had steeled himself against what he knew was coming, but some of the words from the crowd still struck at Rabbitstar's core. More than two cats murmured about it being his fault, and he knew it was true. He tried to gather what he was going to say. It was difficult to think to say the least. How many meetings had he done in the past before? He was used to the mumbles, to the eyes trained on him. However, this time they were daggers, and that as pretty distracting. Finally, though, the leader cleared his throat loudly for silence. "That brings me to this: Tumblekit, please approach." Would StarClan still accept him without a medicine cat preforming his ceremony at the Moonwillow? Surely the ancestors would understand. He and Dawnflame were all they had now... 'And it's all my fault... all my fault...'

Tumblekit Tumblekit winced at the mention of his name, looking left and right for his siblings' support. Maplepaw gave him a small nudge, and Sagepaw grinned broadly at him. "Go on, Tumblepaw." Sagepaw meowed, puffing himself out in pride. "This has been your dream, hasn't it?" Maplepaw meowed as well, giving him a warm headbutt that blocked out the biting wind. Tumblekit hesitated, then nodded, steeling himself for what was about to come. Although what Maplepaw had said was right- this had been his dream since he was a kit, around 3 moons old, he couldn't help feeling lost and afraid without Fennelfur there to guide him. After all, he'd had virtually no training- everything he knew about medicine cats and herbs had been what he'd learned while getting under Fennelfur's paws before he was old enough to finally, finally become the medicine cat apprentice- he had no doubt that this was what Rabbitstar was calling him for. He padded forwards, facing Rabbitstar.
Echoflight (Open- Maybe someone could come ask her if she was proud, etc?) She sat on her own at the side of the other cats- although Echoflight was friendly and kind, the loss of Firestorm and Mosskit had isolated her. Both her drooped ears flicked to attention when Tumblekit's name was called, and she knew, better than anything, that her youngest son was about to get everything he'd dreamed of- but too much more. She brought a paw to her ear, cleaning it, and her tail lashed from side to side subconsciously. How would Tumblekit fare without Fennelfur? Would the whole clan be alright with just an apprentice- and no training at that? Echoflight was more worried for her kit, however, and the pressure he would be under. She watched attentively as Tumblekit hesitantly approached Rabbitstar, and stopped before him. She could practically feel her heart stop.

(That's fine?)
There was no way Rabbitstar knew the words to the actual medicine cat ceremony, so he had to make it up on the fly... and hope he didn't stutter or mess something up. "Tumblekit, you have been wanting to be a medicine cat for a long time." Speaking the obvious always worked in apprentice ceremonies, so why not now? It was a good way to get the ball rolling. "Will you promise to learn to heal and treat your fellow clanmates, agreeing to never take a mate or have kits?" It sounded right to him, perhaps too much of a warrior apprentice ceremony. His eyes briefly looked around the crowd.

Tumblekit Steeling himself once more at Rabbitstar's words, Tumblekit nodded resolutely. He decided that Rabbitstar was perhaps nervous- he'd sensed a bit of unease coming from the leader. Of course he's nervous, there's no reason not to be. This isn't the customary medicine cat apprentice ceremony, Tumblekit realized, relaxing a little. "I will." He meowed, surprised by the firmness of his voice, and how steady it was. He spared a glance at Sagepaw and Maplepaw, and watched as they puffed out with pride. He glowed a bit at this, adjusting his pose into that of a more confident cat, eagerly awaiting Rabbitstar's response.

After a moment of hesitation, Rabbitstar brought his nose down to the apprentice's shoulder. He hovered there long enough to give him time to lick his shoulder and was left wondering if that was part of an actual medicine cat ceremony. "Then with the powers of StarClan, I name you Tumblepaw. Without a formal ceremony or a medicine cat to teach you, you will have a hard road ahead. Dawnflame will assist in your journey and when she feels you are ready, you will earn your full medicine cat title." He gave his best smile, although pity still shined through it. The poor boy would have so much work on his plate, and with such little training. The leader silently prayed to the ancestors (and especially Fennelfur) to assist the new apprentice. Rabbitstar turned to the crowd once more. "Bramblepaw and Poppypaw, please step forward with your mentors."

... ↪ There was heavy pang in his chest and though it was completely expected, Skullpaw thought the situation was incredibly unfortunate for many reasons. He wouldn't be having his warriors ceremony at the same time as Bramblepaw and Poppypaw, who were younger than him by a moon even. Their once in a lifetime opportunity was coming immediately after than announcement that an very important member of their clan had passed. This had Skullpaw looking down a moment in silent sighs and by the time he peeked up again, Jayshadow was sliding through the crowd to join Bramblepaw's side whenever he had decided to step forward. Perhaps Skullpaw should really count his blessings that he recieved rhe mentoe that he did. Braveleaf deserved a lot more appreciation than he ever gave him. He was a lot better than Jayshadow, if anything.
--
Seeing Fennelfur lying there cold and watching Redwhisper and Kestrelstorm dig through the snow until their paws were numb to bury him were fresh images in Tawnypaw's mind. It would have had her acting as distant as Sootpaw currently was, but the situation was just more tragic than traumatic. Rabbitstar had failed to acknowledge her prior to calling this meeting when she had tried to seek comfort from her mentor, so she was back to sticking to Kestrelstorm's side, which was a much too common motif at this point. There was one other tom in her life that Tawnypaw cared deeply for that was not her brother or the warrior next to her. It was her soulmate, Bramblepaw, who was being called forward now. The young she-cat's eyes blinked rapidly up the the leader in dismay. Rabbitstar was performing a warrior's ceremony now? Right after a six-moon-old cat was apparently taking place of their late medicine cat? She failed to understand it, but did her best to put on a happy face for Bramblepaw and Poppypaw, because hardly anybody else were.

Bramblepaw and Poppypaw glance at each other. What is Rabbitstar thinking? They could tell they were going to become warriors, but they didn't want to become warriors like this. They wanted to become warriors with Skullpaw at least, or when everyone had enough time grieving for Fennelfur, and getting used to the fact that Tumblepaw was the medicine cat apprentice without a mentor.
Ears down, they slowly move forwards, not liking this one bit, but smile at Rabbitstar, not showing their true feelings. They felt shy, and slightly proud at the same time, knowing they were going to be warriors.
