(Well, they're added now c: )
The trek home was a silent one. Every tongue was quiet for the lost medicine cat. Redwhisper had become her normal, hardened self after the burial was complete. The grave itself was probably much too shallow, but they had little choice in this cold. In truth, the party probably felt little of the chill for the journey after. The ruddy warrior led them into camp with a solemn scowl. She found herself collapsing half inside the warrior den and half out, not caring about the distant questions and murmurs that would inevitably come from the clan.
-------------
As soon as the sight and faint smell of the patrol came to Rabbitstar, he hopped to his feet and ran to greet them with astonished but relieved smile. Redwhisper seemed to avoid him and the clan altogether, so he touched his nose to Kestrelstorm's and Tawnypaw's shoulders in turn. They smelled like the forest and like cold and like exhaustion. Had Fennelfur not picked or brought some travel herbs for their energy and strength? That was when his smile wavered. He blinked and craned his neck over the two in front of him to look for the old tom. Perhaps he was just a bit slower than them? Smile now completely gone, he stared at the sad eyes of the warrior and apprentice. His question came out as barely a whisper. "...Where's Fennelfur?"

Kestrelstorm felt like an apprentice again, shying under the leader's gaze. "It wasn't your fault!" He meowed fiercely. "No one is to blame... Fennelfur... he went very peacefully. Starclan has gained an invaluable medicine cat." He muttered, for once unable to find the light in this situation. Tumblekit trotted back into camp- he and Maplepaw and Sagepaw had only managed to catch a deermouse between the three of them, although, to be fair, neither of the two apprentices had much training. Tumblekit, his nose still full of the smell of cinnamon, held a meager mouthful of herbs in his jaw. He was lucky he'd found them before they got damaged by the frost... Seeing Kestrelstorm and Tawnypaw, Tumblekit almost dropped the herbs in excitement. He set the herbs down on a nearby rock, and bounded over to the young warrior and the apprentice. "Youre back! Where's Fennelfur? What did he say? Am I to be the medicine cat apprentice? Did you have a-" he meowed excitedly as he went, only to come to a skittering stop when he got close enough to discern their expressions. "What... happened?"

(Thats probably all I can do for today, just a quick rp. As for ships, TUMBLEJADE! also Tawny x Kestrel... would Tawnykestrel sound better of Kestreltawny? Their names don't go well together but they do 030)

Daisyfoot -- Lying outside the warrior's den was a pale-colored cat who was stretching out her long limbs. Daisyfoot moved her body into an upright position as she pulled her hind legs closer. Ears twitching, the she-cat's pink tongue flicked over her white and light ginger coat, smoothing down the fur hastily.
Raggedspine -- Lumbering his way out of the warrior's den, Raggedspine's dark eyes wavered over the clearing. He had slept longer than he wished which left him in a sour mood. If only there was a way to keep himself up and stop him from sleeping in like he had been doing lately. Surely he wasn't growing old, right? His thoughts swept over his mind as he stood not far from the warrior's den entrance, not even paying attention to the things going on around him.
Canarypaw -- Not exactly the most behaved apprentice in the den, Canarypaw was doing nothing for once. He hadn't planned to pull anything on his fellow denmates or warriors for he was observing those around him. Amber eyes flickering, the tom's jaws stretched into a yawn before snapping close. There was really not much to do, was there? Grumbling, the cream colored feline slipped away from his spot near the camp entrance and headed for the clearing.
[ I also have Brittlethorn open ~ ]

... ↪ There was nothing Skullpaw could do but suppose that was it then. He had an audience out of Moonkit, Mousekit, and Batkit. Braveleaf had essentially given him instructions, but then left him to do it on his own. A hunting crouch, wherein he'd have to put weight on his paw. It was that or find somebody else. For a short moment his eyes flickered to where Possumkit sat alone before looking in the direction of the apprentice's den. That's where Pepperpaw had been hiding before, but he couldn't see her this time. He waved his tail to hopefully grab anyone of the apprentice's attention as he peered over there and gestured for somebody to come over. It was first come, first serve really, but he wouldn't have minded if a rally of apprentices showed up. They could all take a kit under their wing if that was the case.
--
Not that Reedheart was a very aggressive cat, so Firewhisker had nothing to worry about, but his green gaze was giving him a narrowed-look of somewhat irritation anyway. Bluedusk appeared annoyed herself and like she just wanted to go back to sleep, so her concerned mate waved his tail for Firewhisker to exit the den and then he'd follow out after him. The warrior did bring up the point that he'd do anything to make up for it, but it's not like Reedheart had to go on a patrol so early when he was out late last night and didn't have anything he could do for him specifically. However, near the entrance Braveleaf was looking rather expectant, so Reedheart diverted his attention that way. "Nothing you can do for me, but maybe wake up and make yourself useful so you aren't kicking anymore cats? Your choice," the pale brown tom suggested in less eloquent words than he was used to due to the lack of sleep he had received and the odd, sinking feeling within his core that was growing more and more uncomfortable the whole time.
All Reedheart had to do was notice the gaggle of she-cats not far from the warrior's den. Aquashine and Opalfeather were surrounding Whitedeer, and one look at her made him feel incredibly bad both mentally and emotional with some physical upset in his figure, too. Could there be something wrong with his soulmate, was that way he felt so horrible? However it was more or less like, severed or disconnected than a shared pain. He pawed at the ground awkwardly as he watched Aquashine arise and leave Whitedeer alone to pad over to Braveleaf. Before he'd let Whitedeer or Opalfeather notice him, he sprinted towards the medicine cat's den instead. He knew Fennelfur still wasn't back and that it'd probably be Dawnflame that he needed to see to tell what was wrong deep in his soul. Actually, he was here to check up on his apprentice and to hide away from everyone for a little while. Reedheart snuck carefully over to Sootpaw's nest where the apprentice stare blankly in one direction.

Bramblepaw and Poppypaw, hearing the interaction between Kestrelstorm, Tawnypaw and Rabbitstar, walk over looking horrified. "Fennelfur's gone?" Poppypaw utters in complete shock.

Rabbitstar's face became extremely grave. Inside of him, however, his soul was screaming 'I told you so!' He was taking this a a horrible omen. Why did StarClan have to take their only medicine cat at the beginning of LeafBare? Were they testing the clan, testing him? They hadn't dragged Fennelfur's body back (which would have been ill advised anyway) so he was assuming that the old tom had been laid to rest. It was sad that he would go unceremoniously, with no funeral words, but a burial was something. The silent leader swept his gaze around the clan. Those that heard or were beginning to learn made his heart ache. They would be so worried... He had to calm them down. Rabbit wheeled and leapt atop the Highhill, calling for a clan meeting.

Dawnflame had just barely gotten up to greet Reedheart before the meeting was called. With a quick word to her patients not to leave the den, the Dreamcatcher made her way towards the horde of gathering cats. She spotted her cousin towards the front and slithered through the masses to sit beside him. Ridgefall, who had been sitting were he and his soul mate had been speaking, turning easily to face Rabbitstar. The uneasy look on his face worried the senior warrior to no end. When his cousin sat beside him, he greeted her with a respectful nod but kept silent.
Braveleaf paused by the camp entrance and frowned, his patrol interrupted. Now what was all this about? He slowly made his way back to the kits and instructed them to go back to the nursery. Mousekit whined the whole way but did as her father asked. It was best for them to wait inside. The warrior sat at the edge of the meeting so he could slip away for his patrol after.
Bluedusk sleepily made her way outside and, ungroomed, sat herself in the middle of the warriors to absorb their body heat. She hated the cold so much. Luckily, a thick-furred cat like Pepperpaw settled down beside her and blocked some of the chill.

With half-opened eyes, the soft-voiced Dancingwillow tiptoed out of the warrior den. She was looking ahead at the gathering clan before hearing Rabbitstar's loud clan meeting announcement. So preoccupied with both waking up and the impending meeting, the ditzy she-cat ended up tripping and completely falling face-first over Daisyfoot with a squeak.

((I KNOW I SAW OMG... I will edit below a response to everything happening--))
--Silvernight moved in short bursts back into camp, carefully dragging only two deermice by their legs. She had been out since the very earliest rays of the sun shone, and that was all she had to show for her efforts. The Clan wouldn't thrive at all on the meager offerings that could be found in such a harsh season, and she was sure that the leader calling a Clan meeting would only prove to make things worse. She stopped short of the fresh kill pile, seeing how small it still was and figuring it wouldn't matter much. She'd much rather expend the energy continuing her trek later than be faced by the Clan as disrespectful. Silvernight kept her distance from the throng of cats, but did her best to find an area that would also have decent acoustics to hear the message he'd be giving loud and clear.
--Firewhisker followed Reedheart's direction, his ears still blazing. He figured he would offer again another time if he weren't able ot make it up to him or his mate at that moment, so he just nodded hastily in agreement. Hearing the meeting being called, he took it as a perfect opportunity to escape, and did so after a few more profuse and bumbling apologies. Braveleaf crossed in front of him, and he followed the tom to help usher the kits away hastily. He hadn't even had a chance to contemplate what the meeting might be for, but found the time to do so as he settled in to listen to it. He was hoping it would be a warrior ceremony for some of the apprentices, but the atmosphere was much too tense, and the Clan would have been much more abuzz if that were the case. The apprentices, especially, would be shining with pride and from their family's particularly thorough grooming job most endure before their warrior ceremonies.
--Moonkit was excited to try the hunting crouch she had so poorly mimicked earlier. However, at Skullpaw's gesturing for others and his apparent carefulness not to touch his paw down, she grew worried. "Maybe we can just get in position and you can direct us verbally?" she suggested, her advice being at least partially drowned out by the call for the Clan meeting. Her and her adopted siblings were urged to leave, making her puff her chest out indignantly. She was part of the Clan too, and she was sure the news would be delivered to everyone - even the kits - soon enough. However, she was not about to disagree with any older cats, especially not ones that had been so kind to take her in to not only the Clan, but their own family. She followed closely behind Mousekit, silently agreeing with the other she-cats discontented mutterings. Once in the nursery, she considered waking up her adopted mother to hear the meeting. That would be the best method to hear the news, after all. Except for... "We can probably watch from the entrance," she whispered as softly as she could, half-hoping the other kits wouldn't hear her blatant disobedience being voiced, and hoping even harder they wouldn't agree if they did. Knowing kits, though, was there really much of a chance for that?
--Brokenpaw padded from his innocuous spot somewhere in the camp. His dark color was hard to hide in Leafbare among the snow, but he liked to pretend he was still vaguely unable to be noticed. He scanned the area for his mentor, or anyone he knew. While he was hiding on his own, it was always nice to be around someone he could feel comfortable around when he needed to be somewhere. Seeing the kits gathered around a fellow apprentice, though not an apprentice for much longer, he immediately headed that way. Few cats knew he had a huge soft spot for kits - given to him not by his mother, but his mother's sister, who he hadn't seen since he was a tiny kit himself. Unfortunately, the Clan meeting was called before he was anywhere near the others. With a soft sigh under his breath, though one that was very noticeable due to the air condensing with his breathing, he continued his forward movement to Skullpaw, albeit at a slower pace. He figured settling in with another apprentice wouldn't be too terribly awkward, even if said apprentice was basically old enough to have been a warrior for a while now.

So preoccupied with both waking up and the impending meeting, the ditzy she-cat ended up tripping and completely falling face-first over Daisyfoot with a squeak. Hardly noticing that Dancingwillow had came her way, Daisyfoot let out a raspy yelp when the she-cat fell face-first over her. "Oh, Dancingwillow! I'm so sorry.. I was in the way.." she apologized, rambling off apology after apology. Scrambling to her paws, the paler colored feline nosed the warrior's paws, trying to see if she was still conscious. If she's unconscious, I'm going to be in trouble.. she thought with a dark shudder. "Dancingwillow, are you okay?" Her eyes fluttered with concern as she prodded her with a white paw gently, her gaze locked on her fellow denmate. All that matters is that she's okay. I'm sure we won't miss much at the clan meeting anyways.. Oh, how wrong she was.
