Shadepaw stood hesitantly beside Stumblestep. "Hello," she replied, shifting uncomfortably. I was just looking for my mentor Redbreeze." Her paws were stiff to her sides; and her eyes flickered around in darting haste. Where is my mentor? Wasn't he not supposed to leave without me? When is he going to come back? She dipped her head to Stumblestep and stood up. "I'm sorry I don't have time to talk to you," she meowed politely. OOC; HOME Yay ugh <3 Razz if you want, Brindleflower is just sorting herbs, Gingerpaw can join her ;w; Maybe she'll take him out training or something. Bluerunner Tom - 15 moons - Warrior ________________________________________________
Bluerunner Location - forest Mood - at ease Tagged - Duskfeather
"Hmm.. Personally, nope! I'll go wherever you wish to hunt." He purred happily, his tail curling. He was honestly just excited to get out of the camp. "I haven't been a warrior for long, so I haven't really spent much time hunting on my own, so I don't really have any favourite spots, but I'm the best at hunting rabbits!" He boosted playfully, his long legs and speed giving him an edge in hunting.

Sorrelpaw w/ Stumblestep - Flintfang - Blossompaw w/ Silverstar
ѕιlvy , xxfantasy SORRELPAW Sorrelpaw beamed with a giant smile, at both his seemingly successful hit and his mentor's praise. Skidding on his claws, he walked back to his spot, sitting on his haunches and puffing out his chest. Green eyes held intrigued attention as he blinked up at his pedagogue. "Thank you, Stumblestep! I'm ready for the next lesson."
BLOSSOMPAW Blossompaw nodded, heaving a sigh. "Alright," came her flat reply. She'd train, but first, she'd try to adjust to this place without having an anxiety attack. Not to mention that she'd probably get sticks and leaves in her sleek fur. Ugh...
Stepping over the nearest - smoothest - tree, the bobtail kneaded the hard bark with her paws. It felt rough and dry underpaw; maybe this tree was old, not having seen water in some while. Walking across the log, she flinched and jumped slightly (albeit a bit dramatically) at the twigs sticking from the sides and ends. Tch! If one of these pricks me, I swear...
Shaking out her paws, Blossom leaped down from the tree, not wanting to do that again. After exploring the rest of the space of the area - not daring to climb a single tree, mind you - she returned to her mentor, scratching out stray pieces of wood from her fur. She didn't get as messy as she'd thought, but maybe the training would do more damage. Hmph. I can redo it later, I guess. Raising her head, she stared Silverstar in the eyes. "Ready."
FLINTFANG Flintfang sighed, stretching his slender, angled body - enjoying the satisfying feeling of the loosening fibers of his musculature. Seems like someone was getting stiff from sitting in the clearing doing absolutely nothing with himself.
The Oriental was about to see if anyone would like to patrol with him, but it looked like Sharpthistle beat him to it. I need to be profitable in some way. The clan has been going into...er, quite a decline in recent times. Rising to his paws in one fluid motion, the prepossessing tomcat made his way towards the Siamese, thin tail swishing rhythmically behind him. His slanted, tapered eyes glittered in the sunlight. "I would not mind aiding you in the patrolling endeavors," he meowed in his baroque speech.

(So sorry I wasn't on. I've been trying to save my chicken's life the past two days after she got mauled by a dog. This was the Betadine Solution cleansing plus bandaging time, and we discovered she had mites and had to clip that away plus oil her skin... so I've been really busy.) ( Oh no, I'm sorry, Razz! I hope she makes it through. ;-; )

Stumblestep nodded slightly, happy at her apprentice's eagerness. She could feel the slight throb of her hind leg, and she flinched slightly as a sharp pain went up her spine as she took a step back. However, the feline only continued to smile, not wanting to worry her apprentice any. "I want you to charge at me and leap. It's easier just to show you the move than to try and explain it." The she-cat told the tom with a nod as she took a few steps backwards. "I'm ready when you are!"
{ Since Razz was supposed to be joining our little patrol, would you like to wait a little, Harv?}

Sorrelpaw backed up once again, crouching low before charging forward. He didn't know what Stumblestep would do to counter his move, but he was about to find out. With a bunch of his legs, he leapt into the air, paws stretched towards his mentor.

How will be be able to practice when she won't even cooperate with getting her fur dirty? Perhaps I could have given her to someone harsher... no. I have to be harsher. It was hard though. The apprentice was fussy, but wasn't all that rude... "Alright. We'll start just right here. You attack me. I'll get defending,"

Stumblestep waited until Sorrelpaw was more near her. She then reared up slightly, ignoring the stinging sensation of pressure she put on her injured leg. Honestly, she almost stumbled backwards from even attempting it, but, the she-cat's pure determination made her focus hard - she had to be the best mentor she could! Rearing up slightly, her front paws meet with Sorrelpaw's outstretched ones as she let the tom push her backwards onto her back. However, as soon as her back hit the ground, one powerful push from her legs - which required quite the effort on her part - pushed into his underbelly, sending him almost flying off of her as she quickly rolled back to her paws. "And that's that! It's great for cats smaller than you or whose grip isn't good enough once they get you to the ground. Because once you're pinned, things can get really bad, really quick. Do you understand? O-oh, you're not hurt or anything, right? I'm serious - even if you have the smallest bruise I want to see it!"

Acornfall heard the call from Sharpthistle, and lifted his head quickly. A patrol? Good. This would make his dawn a foxlength better, if he could get out and move. Stretching his legs always seemed to improve his mood. He stood up, and stretched out each paw one by one, before walking towards the two who had already gathered. Flintfang and Sharpthistle... not a bad patrol. Hopefully they wouldn't bother him too much. "I will join you," he said gruffly, fluffing out his fur to its full length before flattening it. The bristling warmed him up a bit before a hunt. He surveyed the other two warriors quietly, content to let them lead the way out of camp and into the beyond. He had eaten nothing that morning, and had no will to attempt it. There was nothing particularly appetizing on the pile, anyway, and what good would it do to deplete it further? ~ Gingerpaw caught sight of his mentor down in the den, and his tail puffed out with excitement. He didn't want to disturb her, but... "Brindleflower?" he asked, turning all the way around and crouching at the edge of the ditch in which they made their home, "Do you need any help sorting herbs?" He leaped down, careful not to disturb the carefully sorted herbs with the air that swirled around him from moving, and then he padded towards her, tipping his head with interest, looking down as what she was sorting. "What herb is that?" he asked, crouching down to sniff at it interestedly.

SORRELPAW - - Sorrelpaw crashed into Stumblestep, surprised that he, a tiny apprentice, shoved an experienced warrior onto her back. But the little victory was short-lived, as, right in that split second, he was tossed completely off guard. She pushed into his soft abdomen with her hind legs, flipping him onto his back and sending him sliding some distance away from her.
Blinking dust from his eyes, Sorrelpaw gazed at Stumblestep from his "upside-down" view. His expression of surprise turned into amusement. "I...didn't expect that," he purred. "And d-don't worry; I'm fine! Not a scratch." Turning over onto his stomach, his gazed up at his mentor with owl-like eyes. "Are you alright? You've put a lot of stress on your leg today..."
BLOSSOMPAW - - Pursing her lips, Blossompaw crouched, unsure of how to start off. "O...Okay." Circling her mentor for a moment, the bobtail waited until she was in range of Silverstar's exposed side. Then she pounced, completely unsure of what the leader would try on her.

❈ -- Swiftstar watched Blossompaw calmly, observing every move. She shouldn't look at where she's going to attack me, she mused. I thought I've told her this before... The leader stepped aside, catching a blow on the apprentice's head. She leaped at the calico, holding her down. "Next time, don't look at where you're going to attack me. It'll give everything away." Swiftstar let go of Blossompaw, sitting up again, almost hitting her head on a branch. Thank StarClan I didn't... how embarrassing it must be if I did.

BLOSSOMPAW - - Tch, darn it! Huffing, Blossompaw massaged the top of her head, trying not to look excessively irritated. This wasn't her forte, as she'd already told Silverstar. "Alright...I'll try again," she grumbled.
The calico backed up, trying to find a spot for which she could attack from the front. No real vulnerable points, beside her paws and maybe chest. She couldn't veer to the side again; she might catch that. Maybe this'll work? Probably not. Wouldn't hurt to try...
Charging at her mentor, Blossompaw kept her eyes on Silverstar's chest. As she neared the older female, she ducked downwards and batted at her front paws, claws sheathed. Perhaps the move was too quick or noticeable, but she'd see what the outcome was soon.

Stumblestep let out a purr of relief that her sudden counterattack hadn't injured the apprentice any. She couldn't help but give a playful giggle - which wasn't very mentor like at all - at how he gazed up at her from where he laid on his back. She almost wanted to go over to him and bat at his paws in a little kit-like game, but the she-cat steeled her will from doing so. Instead, she rose to her paws with a grunt. Her ear twitched slightly at her apprentice's concerned words, and for a moment, she looked away, fur prickling slightly. She...disliked when any cat asked her about her injury - she was fine...right? And even if it did hurt, her role was to teach him. If she held herself back because of something small like this...she shook her head. "I'm fine. Now,, I want you to mimic what I just did." The she-cat said briskly, not giving the apprentice even a moment to possibly argue with just how 'fine' she really was. She got into a crouching position and then lept - but something went horribly, horrible wrong.A fiery, hot pain traveled up her spine, making her suddenly yowl out in pure pain as she fell mid-leap. Her claws dug into the ground as she hissed, ears flat against her head. "M-Mousedung..." She tried to sit up some, but even the slightest pressure to the twisted limb. Though it was 'healed' she hadn't lost all feeling it....which she wished she had. "I'm sorry..." Stumblestep's voice sounded utterly upset and guilty as her head bowed. "I-I don't think we can train anymore today....I let you down, didn't I?" This wasn't the first time she had had to stop training short because of her injury...was she hindering her apprentice? Sharpthistle let out a little grunt as the two other tom's joined him. Flintfang and Acornfall? Not a bad patrol then. It'd be done quickly and quietly, just what he liked. "Hmph. Be sure to keep up then." He told the other two tom cats, head raised high. The thin, tall tom-cat wasted no time in taking the lead and beginning to lead the small patrol outside of camp. His large ears were perked, twitching at the slightest sound. "Stumblestep said she smelt traces of fox near the eastern border of the River of Blood...Starclan knows that she-cat is as incompetent as it gets, but regardless, we'll go there for today." The tom's sharp, critical voice rang as he slowed down none.

Sorrelpaw w/ Stumblestep - Flintfang w/ Sharpthistle & Acornfall
ѕιlvy , Razz SORRELPAW - - The tabby's ears flattened at her sudden yelp of pain, and he noticed her twisted leg. Out of his sympathetic nature, he touched her paw with his, face now twisted in worry. She was blaming herself for interrupting their training because of her leg? If her leg was acting up, then she had to stop; that wasn't her fault! "Oh...O-Oh no, you didn't disappoint me, Stumblestep!" He mewed. "We can always train another day. We need to get back to camp so you can rest..."
Scrabbling to his paws, he leaned his body against hers - knowing that it wouldn't help her to make her way back to camp. Still, he wanted to at least try to make sure she wasn't limping along by herself and causing more pain to herself. "I can...u-um...try to help you. Er, i-if you need it, that is; I don't want to make it seem like you can't do it yourself..." He trailed off, tail dragging on the ground.
FLINTFANG - - "Very well." With that short remark, he set off alongside the two toms, slim figure ergo slipping through the entrance. Meticulous pawsteps treaded the ground as Flintfang followed suit, head held high and eyes scrutinizing the premises. The late morning sun sieved through the trees, illuminating his silverly-blue fur. "I suppose that is a passable location..." He mumbled.
At Sharpthistle's mention of Stumblestep, the taciturn sighed. She was, well...not an oddball to him. More so...too happy. Even with her injury, she was still a Pollyanna sort of figure. But maybe that was normal? He didn't know. "I suppose I have to agree with you on the matter. She's too jubilant for her...personal well being."

"W-wait maybe we can-" Stumblestep's slightly argumentative mew was cut off as she flinched once more as she tried to stand up straight. Yes...he was right, she needed to go back to camp and rest. Hopefully one of the medicine cats were there? Or if not, then she supposed she could see if she remembered any of the herbs they used for pain....Hopefully she wouldn't even up poisoning herself. Either way, her shoulders drooped slightly as she limped along, leaning against her apprentice for support. As they slowly walked along, she had fallen silent, light green gaze on the forest floor, ears slightly flat against her head. She then perked up slightly when she heard the tom cat speak. A small smile came to her maw, even if it seemed a bit forced. She then purred softly, gently swiping her tongue over his ear. "Don't worry about it, I'm fine." She said, shaking her head. "If you'd like to join another mentor's training practice for the day, then that's fine with me, okay?"
Sharpthistle let out a scoff. "And to think Swiftstar gave her an apprentice of all things. A waste of a good, young cat." His hissed under his breath. However, there was an unmistakable hint of jealousy in his voice. Fur bristled slightly on his shoulders, his head bowed low as he stalked along, tail flicking back and forth.

I don't know if she was even listening to me or not, but I've got to get ready. Swiftstar stumbled as Blossompaw batted at her front paws. That was nice. The leader immediately recovered by rolling over and standing up. "That was much better," the EchoClan leader nodded approvingly. "Shall we try it again... but instead over there?" She flicked her tail towards a pile of vines, branches, and mounds of dirt. Not to mention the smell coming from it.

Brindleflower She-cat - 32 moons - Medicine Cat ________________________________________________ Location - her den Mood - at ease Tagged- Gingerpaw
Hearing her young apprentice call to her, she flicked an ear to show she heard him. Noticing the leaves rustle when he jumped down, she looked over the tom calmly, once again feeling a bit of surprise upon seeing him. He had the build of the warrior, but had picked the medicine cat route. Not that she was one to judge, having trained as a warrior for long enough that she could hold her own in a fight. At his question, she opened her mouth to speak to him, but stopped after a second, thinking. "It's.. Chamomile. A strengthening herb, it's one of the travelling herbs we use." She replied after a bit, her voice barely above a whisper. "I've been thinking, Gingerpaw. With you being so young, I think we should do some battle training today. You need to learn, whether you're a medicine cat or not."
