Hey! Do you think at some point that dawn fur could have apprenticed Honeyflower? <_< ((Of course! That would definitely make sense since she's such an old queen and I am totally on board with the idea. And Rabbit, take as much time as you need to get better - your health is priority!) [SC] Cedarstep considered the medicine cat in training as he went to fetch her the mouse bile. She had been a young warrior when Morningpaw joined their clan, and had been unsure at the time if the weak kit would adapt to clan life well. Now she saw the medicine cat life certainly suited him, better than she could have ever adapted to it, had she been in his place. Still, she was never quite certain he'd found his place in the clan. She cast a sideways glance at Reedpaw, thinking that at least some cats were making an effort to reach out. She could certainly commend the young she-cat for that. When Morningpaw returned with the mouse bile, she put her thoughts to the side - it wasn't her place to question the loyalty of a cat, and certainly not one who had never done anything disloyal, even if he did tend to be a bit... prickly. Her nose wrinkled at the smell of the mouse bile, and she cast a glance up to the sky, figuring that if it did rain more than she was expecting she should still be able to clean her paws without getting soaked if she hurried. "Of course," she meowed, bending to take the moss, "Thanks for your help." Morningpaw was an unusual cat, but there was no reason he couldn't be an invaluable member of the clan. She shouldn't place so much judgement upon the young cat, after all, in many ways she was far from the cat she was as an apprentice. Her thoughts followed her as she padded back to the elders' den. [MC] Dawnfur lay in the nursery, watching her kits lazily play. They were unusually subdued today, which she couldn't help but appreciate, as she was feeling rather drowsy herself. She had been awake enough to greet Honeyflower earlier that morning, but Mousekit and Patchkit had slept right though it. Just as she was getting used to the quiet, Patchkit tore away from his game and ran up to her, placing his paws on her flank. "Can we go outside today?" he chirped, ever enthusiastic. "I promise we'll stay close. We just want to look around." A bit regretfully, she shook her head. "Not today, I don't think. Curious kits like you would just get underpaw." Before he could look crestfallen, Dawnfur gave him a quick swipe over the ears with her tongue. "Perhaps, if you're really good, I'll consider taking you out tomorrow. How does that sound?" Patchkit pretty clearly wanted to explore by himself, or at least without his mother, but Dawnfur figured he'd settle for the compromise. She'd heard murmurings of a storm, and wanted to keep her kits close during it, just in case. No sense in them catching a cold at their age if it could be avoided. Mousekit padded over, happy with the new arrangement, and without a word curled up next to Dawnfur and slipped into a light doze.

Honeyflower flinched away from Briarstar when he startled her. Slowly, he regained his posture and returned the leader's smile. He was sort of amused, watching her pupils grow slightly closer to each other; Although, he did feel a slight stab of guilt. The cream tabby did not press Briarstar on what she was thinking of--that was none of his business, so he dipped his head to acknowledge what she had said. "That is all right. Although I suppose it would be beneficial to not think too much, else we become anxious," he mewed.
The young cat practically beamed when his leader praised him. He was always happy when he did something to help out his clan, no matter who it was. "It was some work, but I really do not mind. Anything for the clan's well-being," he purred, thinking briefly of Dawnfur's young kits. He saw them early that morning, but he did not stir them awake when he came to greet his mentor. Perhaps he would go and check on them later.
His hazel eyes returned to watch the clouds rolling in ominously. Or, well, he thought they were ominous. Honeyflower turned his head to look at Briarstar when she spoke once more, and the tom's ears pricked up at the request. "Of course, I will gladly do so," the tom watched tigerfur leave the clan to go on a patrol with blazepaw and maplesong. Well, that was three cats accounted for. Plus Dawnfur and her kits, Creampaw, Badgerpaw... "I'll be back before the storm hits, or gets too heavy. One of the two. Although it seems most everyone is accounted for; it never hurts to check. Take care!" the cat responded halfheartedly to his leader, and bounded back out towards the clan exit. He would make sure that everyone would return home to Moonclan if he happened to stumble upon them.
(bleh this is a lame post. Feel free to have your cat bump into Honeyflower ~wherever~ if they're outside of the clan, but not in the patrol. Also, take your time Rabbit. Absolutely no rush.)

[Lilyfall]
Lilyfall curled around herself on the ground near the warrior den, not noticeable if you weren't looking, and absentmindedly licked her paw and dragged it over her fur. She stared up at the sky as she did so, taking note of the dark clouds approaching. She'd been out here what seemed like only minutes ago, and the sky had been clear then. This new change in the weather must be some odd side effect of the season, or maybe something having to do with the lake.
Sighing, she sat up and began cleaning her whiskers. With a storm like that coming, she doubted going out to hunt would be wise. However, being stuck in camp until it passed didn't seem any more appetizing--was that a word to be used by this situation? She found she rather didn't care--and found herself rising to her paws and being carried out the entrance to camp anyway.
She could take a little rain.
[Sandheart]
Sandheart paced in a circle, tucked into a corner away front most of camp, and stared at the ground. Boredom. His pacing was creating a small indentation in the earth, in an oblong shape that was faintly round, and he attempted to keep to the line. If his only contribution to the history of SunClan was this oddly-shaped depression in the ground it would be worth it. Probably.
Whatever his contribution would end up being, it would have to wait, because he sensed the sky darkening behind him. A quick look confirmed what he'd been thinking--dark clouds had gathered surprisingly fast in the sky, like warriors forming a group to attack with perfect coordination. While the warrior heard no rumble, he knew thunder would come quickly--probably after a good flash or two of lightning--and he abandoned his project in favor of finding shelter in the warriors' den.
Alas, a peaceful recluse from the storm would not be. Shellpaw was on him in a second, fur ruffled crazily and yellow eyes bright. She bounced up on her paws.
"Hey, Sandheart! Did you see those clouds, all foreboding and ominous? Think we'll get lightning?"
[Shellpaw]
"Hello, Shellpaw. I don't know about the storm--I'd guess we're in for a big one. We haven't had a really big storm for a while, have we?" Shellpaw shook her head quickly, pleased the warrior was speaking with her. Not like he was some kind of ultra-special warrior whose conversation mattered more than all others, but no one--not even Blazepaw--seemed to be in a chatting mood.
"Hopefully I'll be allowed to stand out in the rain and get soaked. That would be so fun! I had to go through, like, six hundred fighting lessons this morning--think I'm allowed to have some fun, right?" Sandheart nodded, but he was already drifting away.
"Yeah, definitely. I'm going to go seek refuge in my den. Have fun getting soaked." Shellpaw purred as the older warrior walked away. At least someone was willing to chat.
She swept her eyes over camp, but no one seemed to have high odds of reciprocating conversation. Sighing to herself, she padded back to the apprentices' den and decided to wait there until the rain came.
(They're all so open, since I have nothing really to do with them--just say if you want to interact!)

☀️;; From inside the camp, Pebbleskip was nervously pacing, making sure all kits and elders were accounted for, and keeping an ear out for others. Though the storm was likely to be light, Emberstar thought it would have been a good idea for everyone to keep towards the camp. The waves could easily kick up and drag unsuspecting cats out along with it. Though rare, it was a possibility.
🌙;; Briarstar quickly leaped atop the tall tree limb and glanced about, trying to make sure everyone in her clan was present and tucked away from the storm. She was sure it wouldn't be anything horrible, but she'd lived through a few storms that had quickly turned sour...
Larkpaw's eyebrows furrowed as she gave a small, determined smile and a nod toward Creampaw. "I don't know if we'll really be able to go with this storm brewin'... Sounds like Briarstar's got her tail in a knot trying to keep everyone out of the rain. I can't imagine it's gonna be that bad." She flicked her tail as she stared off into the distance.
{{ feel free to bumble around w/ my characters too, I've got Pebbleskip, Minnowtail, Reedpaw and Birchpaw in Sunclan and Briarstar in Moonclan (Larkpaw is accounted for) }}

Creampaw | MoonClan | Camp Creampaw glanced up to where she saw Briarstar observing the camp. She had to fight to keep her sigh within her, wanting to remain positive with Larkpaw. Her gaze returned to her friend, a glimmer of softness in her eyes. She gently touched the she-cat with her tail.
"Let's hope not," the medicine cat apprentice began, though seriously doubting the storm would be bad. "But I suppose we can wait it out. How about we grab something to eat and go inside the Medicine Cat Den? We can head out after the storm passes." She suggested.
{Hello Rabbit! I hope you're doing better
I added a few more character's a few days ago, I'm not sure you saw but I understand completely. I'll repost them here, though }
Goldenberry || hawkclaw3 || SunClan || Queen || Description: Goldenberry is a thick-furred golden she-cat with faded dark yellow tabby markings. Her chest is a lighter yellow color, and much fluffier than the rest of her pelt. This lighter yellow is also the color of her paws and muzzle. Her thick coat makes her appear plumper than she is, though she lacks the amount of developed muscle those around her have. She has a rounder face than most cats, with large ears and stony green eyes. ||
Personality: Goldenberry is often quite silent as she is lost within the depths of her mind. This can make her appear distant from other cats and has kept her from making many friends since she arrived on the island. When she is present, she is often very kind and gentle, wishing the best of everyone. While she is not aware of it now, she has the ability to experience terrible loss and sadness. ||
History: Goldenberry washed up on the island one day with no recolletion of her past and a pregnant belly. She spends much of her time trying to piece together a past which she cannot remember, though different smells and sights can remind of her something distant, yet familiar. Since her arrival, she has grown accustom to the patterns of life in SunClan and given birth to her kits, Sunkit and Emberkit, who she named out of her gratefulness to the Clan.
--
Sunkit || hawkclaw3 || SunClan || Kit || Description: Sunkit is a slender reddish-brown tabby cat with a thin coat of fur. He has a white muzzle and chest. His ears are long and stand straight upwards on the top of his narrow head, and just above his dark pink nose and a tuft of black fur. His eyes are a deep yellow, almost of the color amber. ||
Personality: Sunkit is a very energetic cat with deep ambitions to rule the Clan one day. He wants to work as hard as he can to achieve his goals, and will not take no for an answer. His opinions are always stated aloud, as he has little self-control and judgement. ||
History: Son of Goldenberry, brother to Emberkit
--
Emberkit || hawkclaw3 || SunClan || Kit || Description: Emberkit is almost the mirror image of her mother, Goldenberry, aside from the thickness of her fur. Emberkit has a coat of thin fur and a slender body, similar to her brother. Her fur is a golden yellow with dark yellow tabby markings and a softer yellow muzzle and chest. The she-cat has a narrow face, compared to her mother's round face, with large ears. Her eyes are a deep amber color that reflect the sweetness of her being. ||
Personality: Emberkit is a gentle cat who spreads kindness and positivity. She is more dependent than others, and easily gives in to her brothers harsh games, despite her disbelief in violence. Though she is young, she would readily sacrifice herself for others if necessary and without hesitation. ||
History: Daughter of Goldenberry, sister to Sunkit

⇹ It was when Cedarstep padded away when Morningpaw realized the faint drizzle that began to fall on his thick pelt. The tom huffed, fluffing out his pelt. He hated water. After what happened to him as a kit, he get anyone would have hated the liquid! I've had enough water. He thought as he flopped down hectic to Reedpaw once more. The medicine cat looked over at the ginger apprentice. Debating on whether to keep chatting with her or just ask her to go out into the forest with him. I'd might as well then just before the rain gets heavier. "Reedpaw, do you mind going for A walk with me for a while?"
(I'm sorry this is short)

(( I'll add them as soon as I get the chance uvu and I think I may have missed them haha. Also no worries Silver! Also I'm doing a lot better thankfully. ))
🌙;;"That sounds like a good idea. Hey, maybe then I can tell you about this wild dream I had..." She chuckled, standing and stretching her limbs out one by one before ducking her head and heading back into the rain. She felt it hit her fur and tug her whiskers down. With the rain obscuring most of her sense of smell, she scrunched up her nose is dismay. Carefully putting one paw in front of the other, she tried to get to the fresh kill pile from memory.
☀️;; As Morningpaw glanced back towards her, Reedpaw's fur fluffed up a bit in surprise. "Who, what, me?" She took her paw and smoothed out her fur, standing up on nimble toes as she shook the nervousness and rainwater from her fur. "Oh, um, yes! Yeah that- that sounds nice." She strode forward, still a bounce in her step despite the dreary day around them. She hadn't expected Morningpaw to offer for her to come with him. He always seemed like he'd rather be alone. The fact that he seemed to make an effort to include her meant a lot to her, despite whatever reasons he had that he left unvoiced.

[MC]
Lilyfall squinted up at the sky as rain began to fall. She debated quickly in her mind whether to stay out or go back to camp, but my squeamish thoughts about the storm were pushed down with the smell of vole. Eagerly she followed the scent, already stepping lightly in the beginning of a hunt.
She tracked the vile toward a cluster of bushes and scented the air again. The smell was fainter, and she raised her muzzle in the air to try to scent it better.
A frond beneath her feet cracked, and a flurry of brown fur erupted out of the bushes. Lilyfall lunged forward, clumsily hitting the vole with a paw and barely managing to secure it. She killed it quickly and picked it up--the sky was darkening more than she'd wanted, and with a catch going back to camp would be reasonable instead of weak.
[SC]
Sandheart padded around camp, muzzle raised toward the sky. He twisted his muzzle into a concerned expression and let out a gasp of surprise as he ran into someone.
"Oh, sorry!" He exclaimed, looking down to see who had been the victim. "Oh, hi, Pebbleskip. Sorry for running into you. How about that storm, huh?" He angled his gaze back up to the sky. --- (Hey hawkclaw is Blazepaw open?)

Creampaw | MoonClan Creampaw smiled at her friend, curiousity sparkling in her eyes. She watched Larkpaw make her way towards the fresh-kill pile, not yet moving. After another brief second, the she-cat flicked her tail and headed out into the rain. She felt it splash against her pelt, wetting her fur and sticking it to her body. Her paws carried her quickly towards her friend, where she pressed her body close enough for heat to be exchanged between the two. She walked the rest of the way to the fresh-kill pile with Larkpaw at her side.

☀️;; Pebbleskip, too, had her eyes fixated briefly on the sky, leading her to run into her clanmate. She let out a small 'oof' as she stumbled back and landed on her rear, causing her tail to fluff out. She looked up and saw Sandheart, to which she gave a nervous, lopsided smile. "Hey," she flicked her ears for a moment before standing and shaking the rainwater from her whiskers, though they were quickly dripping soon after.
"Emberstar thinks it's going to pass quickly, the clouds aren't horribly thick. I'm sure everyone's still worried though, usually the rains don't come until a little later in the season, y'know? Though I guess it's not impossible. I just hope everything holds out until the gathering tomorrow." She admitted.
🌙;; Larkpaw, as much as a cat could, was likely blushing. Her face felt oddly warm as she felt Creampaw at her side, helping her find the fresh kill pile. Whether the heat was from embarrassment or otherwise, she gave a tiny smile. She was thankful she had someone like her for a friend. Most cats disregarded her, insisting she just move into the elder's den already before she ended up getting hurt.
Brushing the thoughts from her head, she reached a paw out and tapped around, finding a decent sized bird. She lowered her head and picked it up in her teeth, staring just past Creampaw. "Wanna share? Or do you want your own?" She asked curiously.

Creampaw stopped upon reaching the fresh-kill pile. Her eyes were scanning the pile for a decent piece of prey when she turned towards her friend. "We can share, if that's fine with you." The medicine cat apprentice applied with a soft, warm glow. She started to turn back towards her den, pausing for Larkpaw to join her. She was excited to hear of the dream her friend had mentioned. I wonder if it'll mean anything, the thought crossed her mind. She quickly closed her eyes, giving her head a brief shake. No, regardless, I'm sure it'll be delightful to hear.

(Great!)
[SC]
Sandheart squinted up at the sky.
"The clouds look pretty dark to me," he replied light-heartedly, and nodded along with Pebbleskip's words. "But that's true. Rain during the Gathering would be a shame, especially since they only happen once a moon." He perked his ears, listening for the rumble of thunder, but none came. Perhaps Emberstar was right. --- Shellpaw nuzzled away the opening to the apprentice's den and saw her brother sitting in there. "Hey, Blazepaw," she said. "Did you see the storm?" She padded over to sit beside him and curled her tail around her paws. It was dark in the den, thanks to the clouds in the sky.

Clearflower || Roleplayed by tinkerzb || MoonClan || Medicine cat || Clearflower is a light silvery gray-blue tabby she-cat with white paws, a white belly, a white muzzle, and white ears. She's small but has the personality to make up for it, and her tail gives her some extra size--it's long and fluffy. || Clearflower, while not grumpy, often gets snappish when cats are slow to understand and lashes out if they disturb her plants. However, she is very affectionate toward her Clanmates and wants only the best for them, and her snappy personality does not stop her from trying her best to teach her apprentice. She cares a lot about apprentices, although she gets annoyed with misbehaving kits. || Normal history. No current relatives, open to being related to anyone.

⇹ Morningpaw lead the younger apprentice through the forest at a quick pace. He didn't have a lot of time since it had started raining. I should have went out earlier. But instead, I decided to bask in the sunlight. Now its raining which makes it harder to collect herbs. At least he didn't need to collect a lot. All he needed were a few more mallow leaves and a restock on cobwebs, and a few more wads of moss. That shouldn't be too hard. He thought in slight sarcasm. Picking herbs in the rain was always difficult. The fresh water affected the herbs in many ways; one, the herbs could have been utterly damaged by the water. And two, they would be easier to tear, now that they were wet and all.
"Alright, Reedpaw. Your mentor has taught you to pick moss right? Don't pick it too roughly or it'll tear, and make sure there isn't anything prickly in it." While she was doing that, Morningpaw would be collecting cobwebs and mallow leaves. That wouldn't take long right?
"I'll be back soon. Come find me when your finished!" The tom mewed, racing away towards the clearing where his mentor grew the mallow. As he ran, the ran seemed to grow colder, seeping into his skin. He must hurry before it began to pelt down and make this whole task frustrating.

Clearflower peered up at the storm, muzzle furrowed with concern. The clouds looked ominous, even though she couldn't scent rain on the air. Maybe it was failing senses, or maybe the clouds were harmless--although they were much darker than she would've liked and also much too close to the island. She sighed, then padded toward Briarstar's den and called for the leader.

☀️;; Reedpaw gave a slight nod to the other apprentice, though admittedly, she was a little lost in thought. The other cat seemed so... mature compared to her. She flattened her ears in embarrassment. Maybe she should learn how to be more like that? ... She swiveled her ears towards Morningpaw as he spoke. "Okay..." Was all she replied, which was... odd of her to say the least. She put her nose closer to the ground and sniffed around a bit. At the very least, she knew moss tended to grow near the trees, so she started nosing around there. Within a few minutes, she managed to come across a large patch. Her eyes lit up with excitement as she carefully began to push it up with her nose and paws until it started to come up. From there, she slowly pulled it back with her paws. To her surprise, it came up relatively easy from the rain, and ended up staying in one piece. She shifted it to hang over her pelt and slowly looked around for the other apprentice. "Morningpaw, check this out!" She called through the rain, her eyes squinting as she blinked the rainwater from her vision. 🌙;; Larkpaw carefully leaned on Creampaw as they headed back to the medicine den to take shelter from the storm. As Larkpaw poked her head in, she shook off the rain that clung to her pelt. Or, what she could anyway. She carefully set the large bird down and gave it a sniff. "So, this dream I had... It was about Minnowshine, you know, that legendary cat from Eclipseclan?"It was said that long ago, there were not two clans on the Island, but one. This clan was large and prosperous, but there were many internal struggles which lead it to split into two vastly different clans. In truth, it was better this way... But what prompted Larkpaw's dream confused her. "It was strange, you know the story right? How that enormous storm killed so many innocent cats? The leader, Stonestar, forbid cats from leaving the island, and - and cut them off completely from communicating directly with Starclan..."Her paws twitched anxiously as she looked from side to side as if trying to see if anyone was nearby, though it was utterly pointless. The story goes that Minnowshine was firstborn daughter of Stonestar, and knew that there must be somewhere else out there for them to live if the island were to fall during the storm. There had to be safety somewhere, or at least others that would help their clan. She had to go against the leader's direct orders and went on a long, perilous journey to the mainland and beyond to seek help for the few remaining clan cats. Though many seem to have forgotten, a lot of cats in both clans descended from the very cats that helped save the dying clan. "A-Anyway, it was weird, it was like... I was there, you know? Have you ever had one of those dreams?" She asked. By the sounds of it, Larkpaw didn't think it was of any importance, but it was unsettling at the very least. "Maybe it just crossed my mind in my dreams because I overheard one of the elders telling the kits about it, I don't know... But the storm rolling in just made me nervous. The timing was just... too canny I guess." She gave a slight laugh before taking a small bite of the bird. -- Briarstar glanced over from where she sat at the mouth of her den, hearing Clearflower call for her. "What is it, Clearflower?" She stood, worried something might have been wrong. She glanced to the clouds apprehensively. Surely this would've passed by now? It had been going on since sunhigh at least, and the sun was almost setting... --- {{ Happy holidays guys!! <3 }} {{ I wonder if maybe no one's really heard about those stories, at least not in a long time, like, none of Larkpaw and Creampaw's generation were really told since it happened quite some time ago? Or maybe it's a story only the leaders and medicine cats really know?? Idk o: }} {{ Also Mint, I think you meant Briarstar if they're in Moonclan so that's what I went with }}

(Haha yeah I keep associating Emberstar with female, and therefore with MoonClan)
"Have you seen those clouds?" Clearflower murmured, eyes narrowed in worry. "They seem ominous. It looks like it'll storm. You think we should do a round-up, make sure no cats are out, and wait it out in our dens? I'd hate for anyone to caught out there." She kneaded her paws into the ground, still focused on the sky.

{ Happy holiday's and hopefully a nice break off from school/work! }
{Maybe it's one leaders and medicine cat's are more familiar with?}
Creamppaw followed beside her friend, listening to her intently. She was fairly familiar with the story of which Larkpaw spoke, thank StarClan, for she would have been lost otherwise. The apprentice nodded her head slowly, taking in the information. "That is interesting... I don't believe I've had a dream as involving as yours. Thank you for sharing," she spoke gently, sitting down in front of the bird. Suddenly, she froze, her eyes widening as she looked at Larkpaw. Her gaze turned to observe the stormy condidtions she could see from within her den.
It could be coincidential, but this timing is too suspicious and alarming. Briarstar is already worried as it is.... The fur on the back of Creampaw's neck stood on end as the chilling idea that this dream could mean something startled her. But what kind of warning could it be?
"So were you a part of Minnowshine's group?" Creamaw turned back to her friend, speaking softly in hopes to cover her growing fear.
