(*sneaks on* hey, cant stay for long.)
Asher stopped searching for a moment when he found a black and white feather lying on the ground. 'this looks like its from one of the two-leg birds.' asher thinks before picking it up and putting into the leather pouch he carried, along with a few other things that was in it. some of things in his leather pouch were some round pieces of different colors two-legs had, a reddish-brown colored feather with black tips and a piece of cloth that is faded from being out in the sun. he glanced around the street and saw a blocky white tom with pieces of meat with him, which was strange not to see a two-leg after him, they normally hated it when there food was stolen. he decided to ignore it and glanced around once more if anything of interest was lying around, seeing nothing he continued padding along the street.
(all I can manage right now. Edit: added more to it.)

Oviduis blinked at the young one's simple reply. He had just expected...more or less. Unsheathed claws or just running away would be more expected of such a character. The housecat did not expect a simple hello from the, what he thought was, a stray. They were going to get no where. He sighed through his nose. If he had to talk, then he would. The tom carefully laid down his meat in front of his paws. His pale blue eyes never left the brown tom. "Hello," He started, "What are you doing here? Are you alone? Do you have upwalkers?" The questions came out before he could stop it. He had meant to introduce himself properly but all the questions he had pushed aside suddenly spilled out. On top of that, he know he had sounded more disapproving than friendly. Hopefully, the stray wouldn't care and wouldn't attack. His tail twitched at the thought of it coming to claws.

His tail tip twitched a little nervously, a little intimidated by the stranger's flow of questions. Was he intruding on this cat's land? Hopefully he wasn't too upset. "I'm alone." He said quickly, shifting his weight a little. "Up walkers?" That must have been one of the other words for two-legs. "No. I'm a clan cat." Suddenly quite curious, Scout decided to ask some questions. "Do you have two-legs? Do you live here?" His ears angled forwards, focused on the curly white feline. "What's your name?" He probably shouldn't be talking to the tom. He should go home, back to camp. But this cat was a little interesting, and he still wanted to look around the town.
(( Sorry, I'm at a sleep over so I'll be poofy ))

Oviduis caught the tom's tail twitch. It made him feel better. The both of them could be nervous together. It was an even ground. His ears perked up as the stray answered his questions. But he only managed to get more confused. Clan? Two-legs? This was an odd cat and the tom felt like he was just going to regret ever stopping for the weird stray. Instead on commenting on the mess beforehand, he decided to start with the simple things. "My name is Oviduis and I live,' He paused to flick his tail towards his den, "Over there with my upwalkers." He opened his jaw again but snapped it shut. Twolegs must be the odd tom's way of saying upwalkers. That made sense. Though the clan part didn't. "Is clan you name? or where you live?" He asked slowly, unsure on how to approach the issue of these unknown words.

So this cat had never heard of the clan. That made sense. Maybe he never met a clan cat either. "No, it's a group of cats I live with. My family." Scout sat up as he answered the question, then changed his mind and went back into his crouching position. He looked in the direction of the place the tom - he'd forgotten the name already - said he lived, ears flicking. "Do you live alone?" He asked, wondering if other cats kept him company.

Oviduis cocked his head for a couple of seconds. It was a weird thing to call a group. Maybe the tom had misheard his parents or had gotten knocked on the head. Hopefully his 'clan' wasn't near or over-protective over their kin. His white neck fur prickled and he glanced around. Save for a reddish-brown cat across the street, there weren't any other cats round. His eyes returned to the other tom. A large, goofy grin crossed his face at the question. "No. I live with upwalkers." He said, knowing he sounded very proud, "There are two of them. I think they are littermates. They look very similar." He flicked his tail as if dismissing the topic, "Anyways, they go out about midday or so and I'm alone until the moon is up. So, they aren't around now. They use to go out less when we lived by the water. They are the ones that named me you know." He stopped realizing that he hadn't gotten the name of the clan cat yet. "Did you have upwalkers to name you or does your clan do it?" He asked.

Guardian, do you want the leader to find your cat? I feel bad because we are just chatting away with your cat off to the side. )

Scout twitched his whiskers as he watched the tom look around. Looking for any of his clan mates, maybe. Maybe his big group of cats sounded intimidating. It felt nice to know he had an intimidating group of cats to back him up. "Are they kind to you?" He asked, curious. He also thought that most two-legs looked fairly similar, but he decided not to mention that. From what he understood, kittypets were pampered by their two legs. They didn't know how to care for themselves, they relied on their owners and had to follow their rules, and they had enough food to waste. But this tom looked like he would be able to defend himself in a fight, which strangely pleased Scout.

"Oh course!" He said rather loudly. His ears flicked back and his owl-ish eyes blinked. "Why would you think they wouldn't?" He was almost worried about the tom. Had some upwalker hurt him? He scented the air for the scent of fear or blood but found none. He suddenly felt uneasy near the tom. He was strange...too strange. He was acting too...dumb. Oviduis couldn't exactly put words to it, but something set the tom off. His muscles tensed and his tail started to fluff up.
Aurelius tracked the smaller tom by the roof. His tail whipped back and froth as he watched the apprentice with hard amber eyes. "What a foolish cat." He muttered his breath as Asher picked up the feather. The leader had to abandon the clan to go chasing off after the wayward apprentices. His eyes darted to the housecat when he saw Asher looking at him. There was only one curly pelt like that, Ovidius. The tom was most harmless as long as no one messed with his twolegs. He could actually be useful. Younger Aurelius remembered his mentor speaking to the tom about the patterns of the twolegs. The leader dismissed the warm memories. He had to get the apprentices back. Obviously, they were meant for the collector field, but they had no right going into the city. The golden leader found a route down to the ground. He took a risky leap and ended on the street, landing with a thumb. "Not much of a collector anymore." he muttered, knowing he could have made that ten moons ago. The leader made his way out of the alley. "Asher." He called sternly.

Asher's fur bristled slightly as he froze hearing aurelius and his ears flatten as he turned around to face him. "uh...h-hi aureluis." asher said sheepishly with a smile, resisting the urge to bolt and hide. "ah...what are you doing here?" he had been hoping to find scout and get back to camp, before aureluis found out, but luck wasn't on his side today. 'next time, i should stay in the shadows...' asher thought to himself, making a mental note.

Aureluis sighed, trying to contain his anger. Asher's fear scent was already clogging up the air. Shouting at the frighten tom wasn't going to do anyone any favors. He hid his anger. "Looking for you and..." He paused before looking around. He had figured the apprentices had gone out together, despite the weaker scent of Scout. "Where's Scout?" The leader's voice held a bit of concern, but the rest of his body remained relaxed. He scented the air for the other apprentice but found nothing.

(anywhere i can jump in?) Welp, most of my cats are in the city, except for Silva. I think jumping into the city rps are okay, but if you prefer 1 on 1 rps or just want to rp with Silva, then I got her. )

asher blinked hearing aurelius ask about scout. "i'm not sure..." Asher says, his tail tip twitching. "...i was looking for him..." he glanced around the street, once again wondering where scout was, trying to avoid eye contact with them. he didn't mind getting in trouble with warriors or older apprentices, but this was different since the leader and heir were the ones he was in trouble with.

Aurelous huffed. He had seen Asher collecting feathers; obviously finding his clanmate wasn't the tom's top priority. Though he didn't think Asher was lying to him but had gotten distracted. Which is still a problem, but not as bad. The leader sighed. He had learned to turn things around or just shift them so it wasn't so bad. "Then try to find him." He said with a flick of his tail. Hopefully he could teach the apprentice and thing or two about the city or teach Asher that it was hard to find one cat in a city. Both would be better but he wouldn't keep his hopes that high.

"No." Aurelous said quickly. His tail flicked out to block the heir. This was Asher's job. It would do Florianna some good, but this would be Asher's test. The leader returned his amber gaze to the apprentice, waiting for him to start.

Scout caught the tom's change of posture and it made him a bit uneasy. He shifted on his paws, his gaze darting around to see if there was some presence that made the stranger - who's name he still couldn't remember - uncomfortable. After glancing over his shoulder he guessed it must have been something he said. The fur along the young apprentice's neck bristled, his tail shivering. "I was just curious..." He answered the other hesitantly, looking him over with wary eyes. "I've never been touched by one." He added, appearing quite proud of this fact.

There it was. That was the thing Ovidius was looking for. The other tom's slide remark against the upwalkers made the housecat unsheathe his claws. How dare he talk like his upwalkers were disgusting or not good enough for his fur? He crouched with his ears flat against his head. "Not like any one would want to touch a stray like you!" He hissed with his tail lashing back and forth. He took a couple of steps forward with his teeth bared. He had forgotten about the meat or about this cat not belonging to his area. All he could think about was his upwalkers and their smiles. He would let no one act like they were disgusting.

Scout was a bit startled at the older cat's hostile approach, but he tried not to look too scared. Sure, he was scared. He didn't come out to the city looking for a fight, but that didn't mean he was going to run away with his tail between his legs. He would stand his ground, like a true warrior. Or at least fake that he was strong. He took a few steps back as the other cat stepped forward, his fur fluffing out and his ears flattening. His tail lashed behind him, claws curling flexing in and out of their sockets. "I'm not a stray, I'm a clan cat." He huffed out. He was waaay higher than a stray. He would have said something back to the kittypet, but he couldn't think of anything good to say. He was never one for insults.

Asher gazed at aureluis curiously, slightly confused by his actions. he dismissed his curiosity about it and continued to search for scout from where he had left off and scented the air, as he turned away from aureluis and florianna. 'maybe I should've done that earlier' asher thought as he started to pick up his scent and his ears straighten. he almost forgot the leader and heir were there, but he could feel their gaze on him.

Oviduis' faltered in his advance. The other tom's words had caught the attention of the normally cowardly housecat. This was a clan cat. He had a legion of cats that he lived with. He knew if he was attacked his upwalkers would defiantly try to help or avenge him. These cats could be the same. Oviduis could take on this scrawny apprentice, but not a bunch of cats, even if they were in the same shape. Still, he didn't want to back down from the apprentice. He had talked badly about his upwalkers. He resolved to just chase the tom away. There was no need to use claws or back down. Ovidius dashed forward with a yowl.
Aurelous watched the tom closely. Once the apprentice had turned away, the leader's amber eyes left Asher and he looked around the streets. The housecat had gone and the twolegs seemed to be at peace. Nothing seemed amiss. The leader's tail twitched. Scout could be anywhere in the city. His ears swiveled when he heard a yowl. "Did you hear that?" He asked the small group.

Aurelous nodded. Then it wasn't just his imagination. "Let's check it out." He decided. It could easily be Scout getting in trouble. There would be a lot of cats that wouldn't mind attacking one of the group or just weaker cats. The golden tom tapped Asher's shoulder with his tail to grab the apprentice's attention. He marched on and flicked his ears around to see if he could pick up the sounds of a fight.
