Takeshi | Clan Borders The Oriental kept his ultramarine oculuses straight ahead, the verglas-covered cherry trees meaning nothing to him at the moment. There was silence as he scanned the forests, the valley sloping upwards as the group progressed. The silence was broken, however, by a faint yet frantic voice from behind. "Wait! I'm here, I'm coming!"
I knew I was forgetting someone. Takeshi didn't even have to turn around to look at the approaching cat; he knew Sora's voice by heart, to the same degree as he did almost everybody's. "Sora."
His tone gave the impression of him being annoyed by her failure to arrive on time, amplified more by the fact that he didn't address her as 'san'. His face remained stoic, though, as he stopped to turn his head behind him his eyes falshed blue fire. "You've overslept, I presume. Do you intend to allow the patrol to be impeded because of dilatoriness? Please make an effort to arise earlier next time."
With a flick of his ear, he guided the patrol father along until they reached a small clearing. Takeshi's long tail swished back and forth in a 'separate' gesture to everyone. "Spread out and inspect the edges of the forest. Report any suspicions or findings back to me."

[ Umeko & Susumu | Camp's Entrance | Tags - - Emiko, Haruna, & Tarou]
The molly’s physiognomy gave the impression of being crestfallen for an ephemeral moment, to which it once more regressed to its jocund state. An understanding beam embellished beatific front.
“No worries Tarou-kun, I totally understand! Well, hopefully she wakes up soon, wouldn’t want you confided to camp, all day, ah?”
The quip was to be taken as such, with the grimalkin further ascertaining this by once again smiling good-naturedly. Then, physique veered away, promenade directed back to Susumu. She paused transiently, cranium cocking over dextral scapula.
“I’ll keep the group slow if you change your mind, so you can catch up. Bai bai, Tarou-kun!”
With that cordial locution, the feminine careered over to the trio that she had departed, oculi now larger than saucers; irreproachability playing at their center in curious scintillates.
“Alright, I’m back! Shall we start heading out?”
Susumu nictated, quite obfuscated by the events that had contemporaneously enrolled, vacillating whether to inquiry of it. Opting against it, he merely shrugged.
“Very well. Let’s go.”
Acquiring an upright position with a supple motion of spindly limbs, the masculine trotted over to the Torri gates that made up the camp’s egress.

Emiko & Haruna | To the Bamboo Trail Haruna, who was slacking off in the back of the group, sauntered beyond Susumu and Umeko. She really didn't want to go hunting for quarry this morning, and she probably wouldn't. Emiko, on the other hand, who had practically sprinted under the giant torii gate, was ecstatic with nonpareil energy. Wait...when was she never like that?
Humming a made-up tune to herself by means of pursed labials, each muscle in her limber legs endowed her with a cheerful little bounce in her step. At intervals, she glanced back just to make sure she didn't skip too far ahead.
Tarou | Healer's Den The sepia tabby declined his head. "Thank you for understanding," he meowed sheepishly. His paws shuffled in the rime-encrusted loam. "Goodbye, now. I do hope I can do something fun and rewarding today. Have fun!" As the neophyte watched her return to her group, his scrutiny immediately averted back to the den's entrance. Izumi's Olympian form was still inside, dimly illuminated by circadian sunlight.
He was not impatient, more so slightly concered by the verity that his teacher usually wakened subsequently or before him, never later. He peeked inside, tonality gentle yet no higher than a whisper. "Izumi-sensei. Is all well...?"
Arata & Daisuke | Clan Borders As Takeshi ordered his cats to spread out, Arata promenades alongside Daisuke, naturally. The duo conversed quietly among themselves, their voices quiet.
"I simply cannot believe why we need to do this," he grumbled, flicking his muzzle to one side, ostentatiously. "This doesn't even pertain to the festival..."
Daisuke gave Arata a fierce glare, trying his best not to attract attention by snapping at his narcissistic friend. "Oh, shut your mouth, pretty boy. Would you rather be attacked in the camp or look for suspicious cats before they come do so?" The larger tom huffed, his day already off to a sour start. "You need to keep a look out, too."
"Tch, whatever, as long as it doesn't take too long."

Hideki and Akane [ Hana Valley ]
Akane scowled at her brother, "C'mon, I'm going to check out Hana Valley. Might as well come with me, so no one else is bothered with your uselessness." She flicked her tail, and took off towards the valley. She held her head high, and puffed out her chest. She looked around, her blue eyes narrowed as she scanned the area.
Hideki held back a snappy remark to is sister, and just took the abuse with slumped shoulders and averted eyes. He trotted after his sister, easily catching up due to his larger stride. However, when Akane shot him a glare, he hung back a bit. The massive Javenese tom trudged behind the smaller she-cat, his eyes staring at the ground as if it was the most interesting thing he'd ever seen.
"Can you be quiet?!" Akane spat, spinning around, "You're walking so loud that a deaf mouse could hear you!"

Arata & Daisuke | Clan Borders As the two trekked through the forest, the deciduous trees turning intimidating cherry trees. He was in awe of the beauty surrounding them, and the sweet smell he picked up told them they were nearing Hanasaki Valley.
After a few more steps, his ears picked up a voice ahead of him. And it was a loud one too.
"Akane-san," he called, unsurprised that she was yelling at her brother again.
Daisuke knew that wasn't his business, and she would most likely snap at him too for telling her what to do, but he knew that Hideki wasn't quite comfortable with her harsh words. He felt compelled to stand up for him. "Please, take it easy on Hideki-san. He doesn't mean anything by his actions; he trying his best to help. Calling him out like that won't boost his motivation further."

Hideki & Akane | Hana Valley
Akane's head shot up, and her eyes flashed as she glared at Daisuke. She slowly stepped up to the tom, her legs stiff. "Excuse me?!" She spat, her tail lashing furiously. "Don't you dare tell me how to handle my insolent relative, Daisuke!" She refused to call Hideki her 'brother', he was a disgrace, and didn't deserve that title.
Hideki looked up at his clanmate mate who stood up for him, his eyes narrowed with confusion. However, at his sisters sharp voice, he instantly stared at the ground once again.

Arata & Daisuke | Clan Borders Arata gave Daisuke a look as he stood up for Hideki, snorting at his compassion for the mangy tomcat. "You really shouldn't go around telling other cats what to do, Daisuke," Arata agreed scornfully, rasping a tongue over his forepaw. "You're not even older than Akane, so what gives you the right? Hideki's a nuisance anyways."
But Daisuke didn't listen to what Akane or Arata said, his eyes glowing with slight disgust. "You two are despicable," he hissed. That was a very bold statement, but he didn’t care. "I stood up for you once, Arata. So don't go telling me I have no right to do so for everyone else."
"Hey, you can't s - !"
"And Akane, I'm only asking you to be kinder to him because you can't see what he really feels like inside. Think about it."
He turned away to the large valley ahead, paying no heed to their reactions.
Arata fumed, his fur rising. "Who - who do you think you are?!" He snapped. "You think you’re the boss around here? You really think you can order us around like a mother?"
"No, Arata. I'm just giving you advice to think about, that's all."
They could be as offended as they wanted to. Daisuke had gotten his point across, and that was that. Not turning back, he walked in the the edge of the giant valley, tail twitching in agitation.

Hideki & Akane
Akane glared at Daisuke, unsheathing and sheathing her claws with agitation. She turned to hiss to Hideki, "Go with your little buddy, maybe you'll be useful for him." She spat, shoving the larger tom away, and turning to Arata. "Would you like to continue the patrol with me?"
Hideki stumbled as he was shoved backwards. He pinned what was left of his ears back, and retreated from the angry she cat, his tail dragging. He looked around frantically for Daisuke, and as soon as his eyes fell on the other tom, he sped up a bit. He caught up, and trailed behind. "Um, Daisuke?" Hideki's voice was soft and hoarse, most likely because he rarely spoke. However, he instantly regretted following the other tom, and his heart pounded in his chest. He ducked his head, and avoiding his clanmates eyes.

Arata & Daisuke | Hanasaki Valley Arata sighed and plopped down onto his hindquarters, rubbing his head with a forepaw. He really couldn't be bothered with Daisuke or anyone today; he just wanted to hurry up and get back to camp.
Daisuke stopped at the edge of the grassy valley, watching the frost-covered trees sway in the slight breeze. Their buds would open soon and the valley would look even more beautiful. The tiny waterfalls were still pouring strongly, and the grass looked like it was practically glowing in the sunlight.
The black tom-cat was snapped out of his awe by a small voice from behind him. Twisting an ear backwards, he turned his head to see Hideki hesitantly approaching him. Slightly curious, he nodded, his expression calm.
"Yes, Hideki-san?"

[ Hideki ~ Hanasaki Valley] Hideki hesitated, searching for the right words before he spoke. He took a deep breath, "Thank you for... um... standing up for me..." He mewed softly, staring at the space in front of him. He scuffed at the dirt with his paws. "But... you don't have to, y'know?" He slowly stepped forward, hesitantly sitting down a few feet away from the black tom. "I'm used to it, and what she says is true... I am useless and disgusting..." He let out a soft sigh, "I guess what I'm trying to say is, please don't make everyone mad at you, just because you stand up for a failure like me."
[ Akane ~ Hanasaki Valley ] Getting no response, Akane snorted, and turned away from Arata, her tail lashing. She bounded off, and continued to patrol alone. 'Stupid, insolent, useless, clumsy, pain!' She thought to herself. 'The stupid thing keeps getting me into trouble!'

[ Umeko & Susumu | Minarais' Den | Tags - - Emiko, & Haruna]
Masculine’s promenade had successfully traipsed lean physique through the egress; somewhat disappointed not to have bumped into a divergent hoi polloi of grimalkins - the more the merrier they’d say. Once outside, shells that rested undeviatingly upon their hinges swerved at irregular intervals, maneuver instigated to distinguish any nearby tumult, on the qui vive in case of encountering any peril. Heeding nothing amiss, gullet cleared, cervix skewed so cerulean oculi could take in the neophytes tagging along.
“So, how are you all’s training going?”
The query sliced through the silence and he grinned anon, intrigue by the progress of each individual molly.
Umeko was the first to speak up. “Great! Daisuke is an excellent mentor, super imposing lookin’ but all in all so gentle and kind! He’s been teaching me a lot!”
After locution had reached its terminus, the tyro looked expectantly at the twins, awaiting their own input.
[ Izumi | Healer's Lair | Tags - - Tarou ]
Though tonality was sotto voce, the physician’s svelte dome upheaved in response - and, albeit the activity had been executed gently, a mild headache greeted her.
“…Tarou-kun…?” Upon hearing such a groggy form of her typically authoritative timbre, she became alert, aegeans narrowed anon with unchallenged coolness.
“Might I know what phase of the day is it?”
A phlegmatic nictate had lids glide smoothly over spheres, vaguely indicating not only her tyro had given heed to this tardy behavior.

( Poor Hideki. ;-; )
Daisuke | Hana Valley The large tom's shoulders heaved as he chuckled slightly. "I don't see why I shouldn't stand up for you," he replied, staring back at the spacious valley below. "Almost no one seems to regard you as a true cat, a true samurai warrior. I just needed to let them know that you're more than what you seem. You're not even close to a 'failure'." His nose twitched as he paused to drink in the scents around him. But he picked up nothing more than cherry blossoms, soil, and the cats around him, which was a sign that the area was clear.
He rose to his paws and made his way back to Hideki, tail swishing behind him. "But you need to take care of things on your own end, too," he reminded the tomcat, his orange eyes wide with sympathy. "If you get to a point where someone criticizes you, speak up for yourself. You can't keep that silence locked inside you; it's not healthy. Just remember that it's okay to let your voice be heard."
With those wise words, Daisuke then passed the tall Javanese, his tail tapping Arata's shoulder as a gesture to follow back to the summit.
Emiko & Haruna | To the Bamboo Trail Emiko pranced along, cervix twisting to look at Umeko with effervescent ceruleans. Her gaze then underwent a transference to Susumu, at his inquiry, and she grinned widely at the male. "Susumu-sensei is a really awesome teacher!" She squeaked. "He's pretty cool, and he's super smart, too." As she finished her statement of plaudits, she turned back to her twin sib, nicitating coyly. "What about you, Haru?"
Haruna, having caught up with the clowder moments anterior to ambling behind, simply shrugged her scapulae with a gyrate of Prussian blue oculuses. "Sora's alright, I guess. She's a bit jittery for a samurai, though." The blasé statement was laced with a de minimis touch of impertinence, as was quintessential of her comportment.
Tarou | Healer's Den As Tarou watched Izumi arise from her sleep, albeit in a disorientated modus operandi, a small smile came to his features. He retreated back inside the den's interior, bowing deeply in reverence to his teacher. At her inquiry, 'Might I know what phase of the day is it?', he immediately responded with, "It is approximately...late morning, ma'am. The border patrols have already vacated, but I am under the impression that they will be returning very soon."
He pressed his forehead to hers in a benign gesture before sitting back down a equidistant length away from her, as to give the beauteous Oriental breathing space. "Are you feeling alright this day, ma'am?"

[ Umeko & Susumu | Bamboo Trail | Tags - - Emiko & Haruna ]
A spicule of patrilineal endearment grimalkin toward the neophyte, touched that the molly assessed him as such an apt pedagogue. A teasing smile played across physiognomy, capitulum once again glimpsing over dextral scapula.
“Ah, don’t flatter me, Emiko-chan! You know I’m getting old — soon I won’t be able to keep up with your energy!”
The convivial witticism was enough to further buoy up Umeko, if possible, as the jocund grimalkin was simply disgorging a monumental quantum of vivacity. Gaiety amplified by a sort of prance to her treads, sanguine strides seemed to make her appear as though she was continuously gamboling about the locus.
“All our mentors sound real cool!” Tonality quieted to a murmur - as Susumu was a sensei himself - and ebulliently thrusted betwixt the twins.
“What type of prey might make ‘em proud? Whatever it is, I bet we can make ‘em real happy today! Proud too!”
[ Izumi | Healer's Lair | Tags - - Tarou ]
The molly merely nictated, incarcerating a phlegmatic comportment despite the elevating sense of trepidation - odd, she typically never dozed off this long. With a subtly irked inspire, the feminine departed from the stationary berth, proceeding to extending the length of her spine; emotionless to the wondrous sensation of fibril tingling beneath velvety flesh.
A pause at Tarou's query, to which she merely gave a slope of her svelte cranium. "Simply a minor headache." Then, wiith a sinistral forepaw she directed the tyro toward the heap of lush annuals amassed at their reservoir’s entrance.
“I suppose we sort them out today and rid ourselves of the old. If you may, collect them and bring them here.” [Trying to get over a cold, plus finish a school essay, so I dunno if I'm going to be able to reply after this one. I'll try though!]

Emiko & Haruna | Bamboo TrailEn route to the trail, Emiko licked her maw at the gist of quarry. Leaning towards Umeko, her voice lowered considerably, although it was laced with excitement."Maybe a giant rabbit? Or a koi! I know they like the larger animals."As the virgin forest's lush verdure transfigured into towering, gracile green stalks, ipso facto Emiko's treads decelerated apace. Before them was a loam path, shielded on twain sides with a straw fence. The Bamboo Trail was just a few feet ahead. The only sound within earshot of typanic membrane was the twittering of divers avians and the calm zephyr circulating through the hollow haulms. No humans were in sight.
"Huh. This place looks alright..."
"Ooh! Looks like we're here!"
By quadreuped means, the lithe Japanese bobtail cavorted in front of all three felines, her eyes taking in all of the surroundings. She'd been in the Trail more than twice, but the peaceful ambiance always wowed her.Rather than rushing off to the hunt, however, the feminine took time to absorb the grand tranquility of the locus. The thin, segmented green stalks waved in the wind in a relatively synchronized motion; it was a very hypnotic sight to view, and Emiko could subconsciously feel herself swayling slightly as she gazed upon them. The late forenoon incandescence sieved through the thin leaves, splotching the ground below with patches of refulgent yellow light. The redolence of prey, leaves, and outdoors left her breaths deep.
"It's so pretty! Can we go, Sumu-sensei? Please~?" Tarou | Healer's Den"Yes, Izumi-sensei."The neophyte glanced at the accumulation of flora near the entryway, stepping over into the sidereal day to peruse aforementioned annuals with clarity. Once he congregated them all in an orderly pile, he lightly swept them over to Izumi with his tail.
Acquiring a sitting position, gossamer pelage oscillated slightly as he lowered himself in front of Izumi, the herbs betwixt them. The male's head sloped downwards as his fastidiously concocted forepaws spread out all of the verdure in front of his pedagogue. This was done in a tidy fashion, not messy as to scatter them everywhere, only gently and meticulously. With is observant eyes, he noted that some of these florets were taking on a graying chromaticity, a clear sign of defected or old plants.
"It seems that some of these need to be sifted out of our collection," he commented, irises darting left and right as he scrutinized each annual.

Sora hung her head, biting back the sharp words she would have used in any other situation. “Sorry, Takeshi-san,” she murmured, backing away from the tactician as he turned his attention elsewhere. It wasn't her fault she overslept- okay, maybe it was, but someone else should have at least tried to wake her up before just leaving like that! She sighed, her tail twitching annoyedly as she made her way to a section of forest away from most of the other cats. It isn't my fault, she repeated to herself. Being a Samurai is hard. My mentor should have trained me to wake up instead of just fighting and stuff! Sora sighed again, this time finally letting a bit of her anger drift away. It wasn't that big of a deal… right? “Well,” she said to herself, surveying the area her angry steps had brought her to, “might as well do extra good in this patrol, then.”
(I used the right honorific, right? I wasn't sure, because Hideki is higher in rank than her, but he wouldn't necessarily earn the title of lord? idk, I'm tired lol)

( Yeah, you did! "-san" is a polite form of address for anyone, even those slightly older than you. You wouldn't use it when talking to a cat like Lady Akiko or the commander, though. XD
You don't have to use the honorifics all the time, since it would be tedious and a bit demanding as well. )

Hideki pondered the older feline's words for a moment, but was shaken from his thought by the angry hiss of his sister. "C'mon, Hideki! Hurry up you useless lump!" Akane didn't wait for an answer from the larger cat, she just simply turned around and trotted back towards SakuraClan camp. Hideki let out a soft sigh, and trudged after his sister, making sure to not get close. His torn ears twitched, and he let out a soft, contemplating sigh.

[ Umeko & Susumu | Bamboo Trail | Tags - - Emiko & Haruna ]
Paws adhered to attenuated, gangling limbs acquired purchase with relative facility, though perhaps it was the culmination of the uniform terra firma; inundated profusely in prolific herbaceous vegetation.
A copious quantum of refulgence issued from the brise-soleil’s zenith, irradiating the topography with disparate pigmentations of tuscan. Piebald pelage supplementarily variegated beneath this potpourri-tinted lambency.
Crown upheaved - conscientious and on the qui vive - as gander analyzed contemporary environs. What was vetted was instantly registered as picturesque: with a profusion of Japanese botanies - polychromatic florets - marmalade cotyledons appended to unyielding Acer palmatumsun, the oscillation of Poaceae, it all made for a quaint milieu. Aves chirruped their mellifluous chanties that reached a deficit in vocals, but one would hearken an euphonious ditty or two without a bother. Squirrels emulated the fowls, though their own tunes were rather anarchic and irksome.
Promenade ultimately came to a standstill, traipse disturbed by how the neophyte had halted to. The molly’s importune had a simper curve labial creases, to which a faint nod was effectuated - peradventure she’d mollify premeditating he’d accede it.
First thing was first - ordinances.
“At your growing age, you are all capable tyros. So, I am allowing you all a chance to go your separate ways and catch prey items. When you think you have enough, return here so we can all eventually meet up. Make sure to keep a lookout for strangers or wild beasts, and if you do happen to encounter something - Do. Not. Engage. Anyways! Before any of you head out, could you all show me your hunting crouch?”
A sanguine nictate proceeded after the curt oration and scapulae went lax at the incoming zephyrs. It would be riveting on whom would volunteer first to showcase their predating maneuvers.
[ Izumi | Healer's Lair | Tags - - Tarou ]
Aegeans keened, perusing the tyro patiently - captivation piqued. During the span of time which surmised grimalkin took conveying the annuals, the feminine had acquired a pleasant position, one that had plumed caudal daintily collected about her sylphlike physique.
When the juvenile masculine ultimately concluded the practice, gander vetted the conglomeration congregated. The feminine did not comment forthwith, but dallied fluidly with the now glut of annuals. Unhurried paws firstly reached for the comfrey as she commenced arranging said herb by age. Ones exuding a distinct odor - the monochromatic ones foxing at the corners - she disposed of by nudging it toward a hideous pile of already decomposing flora. A pause before she decided to speak.
“Can you name these herbs?”
Oculi fluttered delicately, distinguished movements that had it appear almost purposeful.
