Lily yowled and darted away from the female fox. She shoulder stung painfully and she could feel the hot blood running through her fur. She just been patroling, not bothering anything. But the fox came out of nowhere and landed a good bite on her shoulder. She glanced to the side as a tom ran beside her. Suddenly he stopped and spun around with a sharp hiss. Lily stopped and looked as well. The fox was gone, but her scent hung heavy in the air. "She's gone..." Lily sighed, relaxing. The tom flashed her a small glare. "No she isn't mouse-brain. Can't you smell her? She's waiting, stalking circles around us most likely, waiting until we let down out guard." He sneered. It seemed the tom was not very friendly. He swung to look at her. "You think she's gone? Go run out there an find out. I don't want you here longer then you have to be." He said flatly. Lily shrugged and shook her head. "No need to be rude. Two is always better then one."

Moon nodded. "I understand, and yes I'm aware we need more cats. As for finding herbs, I do think that is important as well. Scouting is a good idea, we could send a group of three cats to scout and three cats to gather herbs."

"Yes. We can do things at once, if you'd like, scout and gather." She grinned, liking the idea the feline had suggested. "I'll stay back here with those injured. Perhaps we could find a dent in the walls of the hollow large enough to house us and the herbs? For extra protection and for it to serve as a temporary shelter while we search and eliminate the foxes." She questioned, this time more so directing it at Moon. The cats, so far, seemed friendly, and she didn't seem to mind that. Not that anyone would mind it. She was glad, for once, that these territorial cats were coming together as one; last time she had faced this issue in previous lands, it only ended in bloodshed and death. She could remember having to run with Silk when he was merely a kit, which was only months ago. The event had occurred a moon or two after he'd been born. Their parents? Killed. Mist didn't want the same happening to these cats, not when they had such pure souls.

Moon smiled. "Good idea. Before, we continue, we should know who each other are. I am Moon to those of you who haven't met me. What are you all called?"

"Mist." She meowed in response after a few moments, "And this is Silk, my little brother. Half brother, actually." She spoke for the young tom, knowing he'd be too afraid to speak up for himself, but Mist didn't seem to mind to introduce him for him.

Sorry about that!)
Red stepped forward. "I know quite a bit about herbs," he mewed. He glanced at Mist, a little relieved that there was another cat that knew about herbs. "I could help out if any cats were hurt by foxes, but I would need more than this," he meowed, and glanced down at his small herb bundle.

She smiled at Red. She could speak about herbs to the tom! Mist wondered if he knew more than she did; he looked younger than her, but that didn't matter. Knowledge is knowledge. "I've got a few bundles here." She meowed, motioning to the five remaining ivy-wrapped bundles of herbs. "Mostly just herbs to prevent infection, like horsetail and some marigold, and cobwebs. I'd think we need some to let some cats regain their strength. Like juniper berries, which would also double as a method to calm anyone's nerves if they enter shock."

{{ Hey guys just forewarning I wont be active this afternoon and probably not tonight either. I have a baby shower to plan and execute today }}
"Well for those of you who do not know me, I am Pine", the russet tabby tom meowed stepping forwards introducing himself. "I would like to join the patrol, with you and Greywind", he added as he looked to Moon and then to Greywind. "While we are out we can look for others and even do some reckon on the foxes", the tom wanted to make sure they put good use to the time that they had. Looking up he noticed a storm brewing in the distance over Tangleclan territory and he wondered how long it would be until the storm hit them.
"I'm Silver", the silver dappled she-cat meowed dipping her head. Her wounds still hurt and her body ached, however she had a fighting skill set and she didn't want to see useless due to her injuries. "I am willing to stay here and guard the hollow for those who stay behind", she meowed kindly. "Or I can go with Red and Mist to collect herbs", Silver added wanted to be useful.

Tiger shook his head. This she-cat was distracting and even the short snap of conversation was making him lose focus. He needed to track the female foxes scent. "Would you just shut it, mouse-brain?" He snapped, "I don't normally kit-sit and I don't want to make it a habit. So be quiet or leave." He said harshly. The she-cat didn't seem to understand and instead continued to respond. "I'm not a kit and talking just helps me relax." She said with obvious hit in her voice. Tiger hissed and spun around. "Listen, I don't care what helps you relax because you don't need to relax. You should be tense, we are being circled and watched. We are going to be dead if you keep relaxing." He stalked toward her, but was forced to stop as the fox suddenly leapt from the bushes. Tiger jumped and hissed, "Move it mouse-brain!" He snarled and shot to the right, not bothering to wait on the she-cat.

( Okay have fun Foxtrots! ) Moon looked in Pine' s direction. "Nice to meet you. Of course you can come, now our scout patrol is ready to go." Turning to Silver she said, "Whatever you wish Silver, maybe you could help the herb patrol gather herbs. " The feminine then faced the entire crowd of cats. "Perhaps you could organize a few hunting patrols while we're away, full bellies makes it easier to focus on battle training, amonst other things. Also, maybe some of the younger cats could build dens and set up camp." The Molly scanned the crowd for approval. (Is the deputy position taken for TangleClan already?)

"I have a few basic herbs, like cobweb, comfrey, dock, poppy seeds, and thyme," he recalled the herbs he scented, "it's a small amount though." he mewed flatly. He picked up his bundle, prepared for the patrol.

Pine nodded agreeing with Moon. "Otter if you would like to organize some hunting patrols, that would be great", he meowed then turned back to Moon and Greywind. "Well I'm ready lets get a move on. Theres a storm to the North and it looks like it will be here by nightfall. Lets all try and be back by then." with that said he took a step towards the entance to the hollow and looked to the she-cats to see if they were coming as well.
Silver nodded, "Nightfall it is", she meowed and moved to where Mist and Red where at. "Lets get going. Good thing there is a juniper bush here in the hollow so that's one less thing to look for right?", she meowed ready to get going.
Jagg and Cora quickly climbed over the fallen tree that led from the southern outerlands and into the marshlands. The two cats had never set paw on this territory before and with no other place to go, forwards into the marshland territory it was. Over the gorge they went with careful paw steps and once they were safely on the other side the two cats paused and sniffed the air. The siblings were looking for a new land to settle into before leaf-bare hit and with hopeful eyes then padded forwards hoping that this land could be just what they were looking for.
Jagg :: Tom :: 35 Moons Old :: Rouge ||Tall lean solid pale sand colored tom with short dense fur. Along his spine and around his paws, tail tip, and ear tips the pale yellow turns to a darker golden color. He has dark amber eyes that are lined with black skin. Jaggs features are very sharp and triangular, he also has black nose leather and black paw-pads as well. His long jagged claws is what he is known for and also the reason for his name. There are scars around his shoulders neck and muzzle showing that he is no stronger to a fight making him look like a formidable opponent. Jagg has personally never backed down from a fight and does tend to have an aggressive attitude towards other cats. If it wasn't for his sister, Cora, he would probably battle every cat that crossed his path. || Den Location :: Just wandered into The Marshlands Will Become :: Jaggedclaw Mate/Crush :: Open {Falconwing}
Cora :: She-cat :: 35 Moons Old :: Rouge || Beautiful lithe solid dark brown she-cat with short dense fur. She is small in stature but has very sharp triangular features. Her tail and legs are long and thin as well as her body making it easy for her to slip through anything. You can easily see her lean muscles ripple under her short coat when this she-cat moves. Her eyes are pale green and the skin the lines her eyes mouth and that covers her nose is the same shade of dark brown as her pelt. Cora is normally an even tempered she-cat who likes to think things through before she does them, however she is often forced into battle to help get her brother, Jagg, out of trouble. Not that he needs it or anything. She is definitely a formidable opponent and does have a couple scars here and there between her shoulders and muzzle. || Den Location :: Just wandered into The Marshlands Will Become :: ? ? ? "I guess that's a good thing. Silver, do you mind searching for cobwebs? While we're out, of course." She meowed, rising to her paws and motioning for Red and Silver to follow. The feline picked one of her spare ivy leaves. Before leaving, she licked Silk's forehead, who was asleep, and whispered that she'd be out for a while before she had headed out of the hollow. The she-cat lifted her head, scenting her surroundings before turning towards what seemed like feverfew; it was nearby, along the edge of the water, and would serve a great place with leafbare looming over them. Her ears twitched. She took silent pawsteps towards her destination, keeping the incoming storm in her mind and the threat of the wandering foxes, too. She was there in a few moments, making sure to stay near her comrades as she carefully picked at the flowering plant and placed them on the ivy leaf, wrapping it up as soon as she finished gathering the amount she thought was fair enough.

Red nodded, and began to follow her. He padded behind her, his nose telling him that they were following the scent of feverfew. He stood back as she collected the herb. While she picked that, he turned his head, trying to see if any other herb was around.

Seeing that they were coming Pine then led the way out of the hollow and into the pine forest. The tom took in the scents around them trying to figure out which was new and old. Finally he picked up the scents of female and male cat not too far away. "I can smell cats. Maybe we can start with them", he meowed out loud before setting a good pace headed straight for the pair.
{{ DimeStorePoet hey I'm having Pines patrol meet up with Tiger and Lily so they can have the opportunity to join them.
I there any other cats out and about that I need to have the patrol meet up with? }}
Silver nodded and went to work. The silver dappled she-cat used not only one of her front paws but her tail as well for gather up cobwebs with. She made sure to keep the two healers in sight as she nosed around the crevasses, nooks, and crannies for old spiderwebs.

(Okey dokey :3)
Lily shrieked and darted after the tom. He wasn't waiting on her, which was a bit rude. But perhaps he was just scared for his life, she certainly was. The tom bolted straight for a tall pine tree and Lily's eyes widened, she wasn't much of a climber. Never had been. But the tome didn't know that and probably wouldn't care if he did. Lily snapped out of her thoughts as the snapping of the foxes jaws cracked through the air. They reached the tree in seconds and the tom pushed off the ground in one powerful shove and latched onto a branch, pulling himself up. Lily panted and leapt toward the tree. It was a weak leap, timed badly and aimed poorly. Lily yowled and turned at the last second and her side hit the tree. Not hard, since her leap had been weak. Lily was momentarily dazed, but she was pulled out of it as the fox snarled and lunged for her. Lily was frozen. She was going to die. Something orange flashed in front of her and she blinked. It was the tom. He was on the back of the fox, clawing and hissing loudly. Lily jerked her muscles into action and struggled up the trunk of the tree. She continued to glance over her shoulder at the tom in worry. When she finally reahced a branch, she latched onto it with her claws. The tom and fox were rolling, the tom seemed to be loosing his grip as the fox bucked violently. But in one quick motion, the fox bucked and the tom released, using his momntum to twist violently and smash rather ungracefully unto the branch she was lying on. The tom pulled himself on the branch and she could see bleeding scratches across hs pelt and he panted slightly. The fox snarled and began pacing circles below the tree. "You saved me." Lily gawked, "Thank you so much!" She gushed. The tom flashed her a glare. "Don't be a mouse-brain. I didn't do it for you. If the fox had killed you the scent of your blood would attract others and then I'd be stuck here surrounded by predators and I'd starve." He snapped. But Lily purred anyway. He'd saved her and that was all that mattered.

Mist held the feverfew she'd picked in between her teeth, being careful not to break the plant as she turned to head back towards the two cats. She watched Silver pick te cobwebs, glad that she knew how to, and then glanced towards Red. "Mind watching these while I look around for some more herbs?" She asked Silver, wanting to join up with Red in case he needed help.

As Pine followed the cat scents he could easily start to smell fox mingling with it as well. "Be on guard there is a fox close by", the tom said in a hushed tone. He then began to move through the forest as stealthy as possible not wanting to run into a fox just yet. Hopefully the cat scent that he was following didn't lead them to their demise.

"I won't be gone long." She meowed, then turning to follow the scent of horsetail. It led her to the water's edge again and she decided to gently pick the herb out, her paws breaking the surface of the boggy liquid. She had a few stalks in between her teeth, which would last her a while, and then her eyes rested on marigold. Deciding to also get those, she stepped into the water and pushed through the thickness of it before reaching the plant, picking at it as well.

Red nodded and sat down near the feverfew Mist collected. He knew he could scent yarrow nearby, but he figured he'd wait until Mist got back before he went wandering around. He wrapped his russet tail around his paws, and kept alert for Mist so he could tell her he scented more herbs near.
