She quickly noticed that the fox had released its victim, and Mist slid her claws deeper into the russet furred creature. She could hear a pained noise from it, as well as shaking in attempt to free itself, but she made no move to budge. Mist soon hopped off, however, noticing that crimson was oozing out of the wound she'd created, and she leaped back towards her brother, making sure he was okay. Silk only shook; he was an abnormally frightened and jittery cat, and Mist feared him becoming a warrior because of it and wouldn't be looking forward to anyone mistaking him for a weak target. She watched the stranger cautiously. Even though she had just potentially saved her life, she didn't know if she'd pose a danger for her and her brother, nor did she want to test risky waters. So her piercing icy gaze rested on the cat, hoping that she'd take it as a hint to back off from the fox and let it run. She was harmed enough already, and what more could they do to hurt the fox? Surely they'd need more numbers to chase it off. And who knew if there were more running around the territory! Killing this fox would most likely draw them in. Mist shrunk back, Silk crouching beside her and keeping close in what seemed like fear. Falconwing

Silver noticed that the stranger cat who had saved her had backed off and so she followed. Releasing the fox she leaped out of snapping or pouncing distance. Arching her back and spitting loudly at the fox she made her stand. The fox stood shaking and limping from the wounds. The fox didn't seem seriously injured at all but it backed away all the same. Guessing it only wanted an easy meal the cats then watched as the fox turned around slowly and make its way out of sight. As soon as the fox was out of sight Silver crumpled to the ground her body aching from the bite marks and all the shaking it had done to her. Panting she looked at the two cats who had come to her aid. "Thank you for saving me... I would be crowfood if you did't show up. You have my gratitude", she meowed dipping her head slightly in respect and thankfulness to the cats.

Mist wasn't used to that kind of display of respectfulness, but she nodded and offered a rather friendly smile. Her tail curled a little ways around her brother, trying to soothe his anxious mind and then turned her attention from Silk onto Silver instead. She knew the cat was wounded, and for that reason, she planned on helping. Although this territory was mostly foreign to her, she knew most herbs, even if some were only found in her old lands. Mist, however, snapped out of her thoughts. "Where does it hurt?" She questioned. It might've seemed obvious to guess, but she wanted to make sure to treat the major wounds thoroughly before tending to minor cuts and bruises. She was thankful for having Silk bring the two ivy-wrapped packs of herbs, and she motioned for the small tom to set them by Mist's paws, albeit rather shakily. "I'm Mist." She added, "And this is Silk, my brother. Who are you? I haven't seen you around." She herself was obviously not from these parts: her fur was long, built more for the cold, and her feathery appearance didn't seem to fit in with the marshes. But that didn't seem to bother her, she'd tell herself at times, leafbare wouldn't be that harsh on her most of the time that way. "I've heard stories of... wild cats living together. I sure hope I'm not... intruding?" Falconwing

"Well your definitely not intruding. There's a lot of cat who live around here but most tend to stick to them selves coming together occasionally. We don't really have territories we just are protective of the lands close to our dens." As Silver explained she managed to sit up. "And I would be fine, I'm just pretty shook up and sore", she meowed but little did she knew that one of the bite marks was still bleeding and running down her pelt. Her whole body ached and because it was all in so much pain it kinda started to just all melt together and start to numb.

"You're bleeding pretty badly." She meowed in response, almost instantly after Silver had finished speaking. "I have herbs in my den - actually, I have them here," she looked down at her paws, to the wrapped packs, "And I wouldn't mind tending to that bite there. All I'd really need is moss and water to clean it up and see what's up with that." She tilted her head, concern taking over her facial features. Mist didn't know this cat at all, but she felt the need to help her, even if it was just a mere cut. But it wasn't just a cut, it was a wound caused by a creature, and could potentially bring on infection. "P-please let her help!" Silk suddenly mewed, "I-I don't.." He trailed off, shaking slightly before shrinking back beside his sister, and Mist sighed. "It's your choice but... it'd put us both at ease, I suppose." Falconwing

Silver hesitated and then gave in when Silk spoke. Nodding she agreed to let Mist help her with her wounds. "There is some moss over there as well as a small puddle, will that work", she meowed pointing with her tail to the puddle on the other side of the tree that was a couple tail-lengths away from them.

Marshland Announcement. I would like it if everyone could start to meet up with each other. Lets just say that the foxes are starting to circle the territory pushing all of the cats together in the middle pretty much forcing them to meet up. Not all of the cats have to fight with the foxes they can just scent them and start moving to the heart of the marshlands to escape them. I would eventuallylike everyone to meet up in the Nettle Hollow, which is big enough for everyone and give the cats the protective cover that they need. May the start of the clan forming commence.
Just a reminder for everyone so that the plot can progress. There is a possible plot change in Tangleclan due to certain inactive members so I'm going to go ahead a start the clan forming here in the Marshlands.

Freedom was dreaming of a warm spring and the water gushing over and through her paws as she emerged, thick fur weighted down with liquid. As she exited the blissful place suddenly a fox tackled her and- with a yowl Freedom awoke from her nightmare. Her head shot up and her pupils dilated with fear. A fox. It wasn't just a dream. The scent of fox had surrounded her like a thick fog. She shot from her sleeping place upon a warm rock and bolted for the nearby tree line. At least if she was in the forest there was a chance she could lose them.
Otter padded around the marshlands, looking for a meal. His eyes darted back and forth. He could smell a faint musky scent far, far off, but it didn't concern him at the moment.

"Yeah." Mist meowed, nodding and looking at Silk. He knew she needed moss, so he stood and in a shaky fashion, he bounded off nearby to look for moss. He soon found it, and soaked it in the puddle, while Mist was busy chewing up two stalks of horsetail into a poultice. She mixed it with another herb, marigold perhaps, just to make sure an infection wouldn't settle in the cat's wounds, but also hoping it'd help stop the bleeding. Mist kept chewing it, although slowly, and helped Silk carefully wash off any blood off of the broken flesh. Once done, Mist began to place the mixture onto the wounds, taking a few moments to completely cover them all before pressing cobwebs onto them to make sure it would keep clean until healed. "That should do it." She mewed, just as Silk had begun to take a few steps back, watching the cat.

Falcon made his way back from his journey from Tanglclans side of the river. He traveled expertly through the marshlands not sinking any further than where his dark cream belly fur hung. The large tom skirted around a deep bog pool and up ahead could see the forest line and gave a sigh of relief that he would soon be on dry land.

Falcon finally set paw on solid ground and started to shake the dark thick mud from his legs. Sadly it wasn't working. Not willing to lick himself clean the tom headed straight for Minnow Pond and found himself wading through the shallow water. Moving his legs through the water the mud unclumped itself from his long fur and fell away to the bottom of the pond. Once he felt like he got all off that he could Falcon exited the water and shook off. Just as he did he heard the bark of a fox. It was sniffing among the large boulders of Sunning Rocks and it seen him on the other side of the shore. Growling he didn't hesitate and took off for the forest.

Mist moved to pick up the pack that hadn't been used, flicking her tail in what seemed like a goodbye to Silver. She wasn't sure where to go now, since there was the threat of foxes looming over her and her brother. Silk eagerly followed, he wasn't fond of meeting others, and they began to make the short trek back to their den. She could faintly smell a fox - maybe near the minnow pond - and she quickened her pace. Silk seemed to notice her urgency and began to trot ahead. Once in their den, the she-cat began to pick her small packs of herbs, which were probably six, with Silk carrying three and Mist carrying the other three. "I'm unsure if we should leave." She meowed quietly, and Silk seemed to shake his head violently. He refused to. She couldn't blame him, it was his home for his entire life. "Maybe we should search for other cats? There's fox scents everywhere."

Freedom had taken cover in a tree a little ways into the forest. She had figured since foxes couldn't climb, she was safe for the moment. Heart racing, she looked around the forest floor. Her head shot up as she heard a fox yap and she honed in on the direction it came from. As she scanned her surroundings, she saw a flash of dark fur streaking towards the forest, Fox not far off.

{{ @chasingfreedomsheart I'm so glad you said that lol. I dont know why but I accidently switched from playing as Pine and started playing as Falcon, my charrie from a different RP. My bad, please forgive my jumbled up mind. Here is Pines description and just pretend this whole time that I have been playing as Pine. Opps again lol }}
Pine :: Tom :: 38 Moons Old :: Rouge ||Tall muscular dark russet colored tom cat with brownish red thin tabby stripes all over his coat that almost blend in. He has black skin rimming his eyes, ears, and lips, as well as having a black nose and paw pads. His fur is mostly short with longer fur around his paws, chin & cheeks, and his tail. He has pale yellow green eyes. || Den Location :: Den is dug under a huge fallen tree in the southwest deep in the Tall Pines.
Pine picked up his speed when he noticed that even though the fox was still far off it was trailing him. He thought about going up into the trees but the fox would just wait him out and he didn't want to be stuck in a tree for day. That happened to him once before and never again. Instead of going up a tree he started to zigzag and circles to confuse the fox as it followed his scent. After doing some elaborate trails he then headed straight for the safest place he knew to be. Nettle Hollow. It was a hollow within Tall Pines that has bramble and thorn-filled bushes surrounding it. There was only one way in and it could easily be defended.
Silver mewed and thank you to the cats as they took off. She didn't think it was safe for them to go off alone but it was too late to stop them they were already gone. She knew she couldn't stay here long cause she knew the scent of her blood would bring the fox back to see if she could be finished off. The silver and dappled she-cat then painfully rose to her paws and headed into the depths of the pine forest looking for some place to hide from the predator.

Mist could smell the foxes nearing, and that was when she noticed that staying put would certainly mean that they'd meet their end. She knew she had a tough decision to make: leave and survive or stay and probably die. Her fur bristled just slightly at the thought. "Silk, don't drop any. We're leaving." She meowed, and Silk whimpered but knew he had to follow behind. Silently, she slid out of their den, hoping that they'd end up coming back to it alive before they began to trot side by side, towards the Nettle Hollow. She knew it'd be safe with the thorny bushes to serve as a barrier, of course, she'd rather get scratches than be mauled by a fox. Her ears perked at the sound of cats, and she wasn't quite sure if they meant harm, but they continued forward nonetheless. In the corner of her eye, she could just barely see the bushy tail of a fox, trotting along with a smaller fox. Its kit, perhaps. There was nothing more fearsome than a mother protecting her young. As they continued silently to avoid detection, Silk could faintly make out the shape of Pine, and he nudged Mist gently towards his direction. He seemed to be heading for the hollow, too. Mist stiffened, unsure if she should just turn back and take up a tree for a temporary home, but she knew that'd be wasting time, and chose to search for an opening for them to head down into the hollow. It took a few moments, but they eventually found their saving grace, at least what seemed like one at the moment. But as they moved towards it, the fox had managed to catch their scent and hear small leaves and twigs crunching underneath them, and it let out a snarl as it turned in her direction. Joy, Mist thought, this place is so wet and we just happened to step on the dry stuff. Mist stiffened, pushing herself and making room for her sibling before dropping her small packs into the hollow. He had set his down too, but hadn't managed to make it through as the fox slammed its large paw at Silk's side. He yowled in pain as he was tossed away from the opening, and Mist turned towards him, eyes wide in fear. "Silk!" She shrieked, hopping up, trying to make it to her sibling as the fox kept the small tom pinned, its claws digging into his chest.

As Pine neared the entrance to the Nettle Hollow he found himself face to face with another fox. One different from the one that had been chasing him earlier. The fox was distracted with two other cats, one underneath hits paws and the racing to help. Pine growled let a growl rise in his throat, he was so sick of these foxes! How in the world were there so many?! Picking up speed the large tom didn't slow one bit as he closed in no the fox, instead of stopping he rammed himself into the fox knocking it sideways off balance and into the thorn barrier. The fox yipped in suprise before growling and snapping its jaws towards him. He bounced back off the fox and watched as it struggled to untangle itself from the briar patch. "Quick get into the hollow", he meowed to the cat that the fox had had pinned down, and also to the cat that was rushing up to save him. Pine then placed himself between the fox and the other cats and the entrance his fur bristled and his growl so loud it was almost a yowl as he tried to intimidate the fox while it struggled.

Otter listened to a commotion in the distance and began moving towards it. It was somewhere in the pine forest and just barely in his hearing range. His paws thundered across solid ground as he closed in on the noise. As he came across the scene, he quickly took it all in and raced to the aid of the tom guarding the hollow. He skidded to a halt beside him and growled lowly at the fox.
Freedom clawed her way down the tree and followed the scent of the cat. The scent of fox was still strong, but fading, until a point, and it began to get stronger. She raced through the undergrowth and, as she was overwhelmed with the scent of fox and multiple cats, she could see why. Her speed never waivered and, as she barreled past the cats trying their best to fend off the fox, she slid in to the nettle hollow. She screeched to a halt to see multiple other cats hovering, ready to fight off the fiery creature that threatened their existence here. She turned and watched the scene unfold in front of her, Fox angrily watching their every move.

Mist stiffened as another cat raced to help, and she curled her tail around Silk before helping him into the hollow. Once there, she began to unwrap the ivy covered herbs, chewing up a poultice of horsetail and marigold before placing it on the wound on her sibling's chest. She covered it with cobwebs, doing all this in a hurry before she settled him down by a small rock, handing him juniper berries she had in the pack. She hopped up to join Pine, watching him before she moved to stand a little ways away. A growl rose in her throat before she stepped forward, claws unsheathed, as she snarled at the fox. If the tom decided to attack, she would join him, choosing not to back down. However, her attention was diverted by Otter, and she stepped back quietly before returning to her angered stance. She decided then to nod towards Pine and Otter, while she silently decided that the fox was not going to stay on her watch; it'd leave or be killed.
Silk only stiffened as he saw Freedom, fear in his gaze as he shook in his spot. He couldn't move much due to the fresh wound and how much it pained him, so he whimpered, ears flattened. The packs of herbs were against his dirtied and messed up fur, which were probably the only things that would provide him with comfort while the three cats outside the hollow defended the gathered cats. "D-don't g-g-get close t-to me!" He managed to stammer, and though he intended to sound fearsome, he came across as terrified.

Pine watched out of the corner of his eyes as a tom and the she-cat returned to stand beside him. With the reinforcements now at his side the fox didn't stand a chance and it knew it. The russet and tabby tom grew bolder and took a step forwards spitting into the foxes face. The fox only growled and snapped at him but didn't attempt to attack. It was outnumbered and now risked getting killed. Not wanting to risk the possibility of death the fox slowly backed up, it yellow teeth still bared and its fluffy tail whipping back and forth angrily. Pine noticed the fox starting to back down and bravely advanced a couple more steps hissing and spitting at the fox letting it know that they wern't going to back down.
Silver found herself arriving at the Nettle Hollow just as the stand-off between the cats and the fox was starting to end. She moved forwards and stood on the other side of a thick dark grey and black marbled tom, Otter, and took up and aggressive stance. When the fox's beady amber eyes saw her join the ranks against it, it gave another fearsome growl before turning around and bounding off back towards the way it had come. The silver and dappled she-cat started to relax and looked around at the cats around her. She knew Pine, and she knew Mist from earlier, but the tom she stood next to was unknown to her and she sniffed towards him curiously.
Once the fox had left Pine turned around and looked at the cat behind him. He noticed that Silver had joined them and he gave her a curt nod before looking to the rest of the cats. "Quick lets get inside the hollow. I'm sure the fox hasn't left and will probably lurk around for a while. It will be safer to be in the hollow", he meowed not wanting anyone else to get hurt or be in danger.
Silver returned the nod to Pine and spoke up, "I agree, it will be safer inside." With that said she limped stiffly into the hollow and settled herself under a large juniper bush that with maybe some reinforcing would make a pretty large den.
Pine waited to be the last cat to go into the hollow, his pale yellow green eyes constantly looking over his shoulder to make sure the fox didn't return as they started to retreat into the hollow.

Otter flicked a glance at the silver dapple she-cat who came to a halt beside him. He lowered his head just slightly in greeting, but wasn't willing to take his eyes off the fox. He watched as the large russet tom to his other side pushed the fox back and quickly it whipped around and ran. Otter's body relaxed as the fox retreated. Otter spun and trotted in to the nettle hollow, suddenly surrounded by multiple cats. He padded over to the edge of the group and sat, quietly minding his own business.
Freedom flicked an anxious look at the cat to her side. He seemed to be injured, but he was terrified. She wanted to help, but felt her presence near him would put him in shock. Freedom relaxed exponentially as the four cats who had stayed back to fight off the fox trotted back in the entrance to the hollow. Her eyes shot back and forth between them, not recognizing any of them.

Silver soon finished grooming her pelt smoothing down the roughness from the fox attack and cleaning her wounds so they wouldn't get infected. Pushing herself up she went over to where most of the other cats had gathered although they kept themselves distanced from each other. There was more cats here than she expected, but she felt a sense of security with the larger numbers.
Pine let Mist go into the hollow before he followed suite. He found himself surrounded by many cats some he knew and some he did not know. This place was obviously the safest place for the cats to stay with multiple foxes terrorizing the forest and so it looked as if they would all be here a while. Taking initiative the tall russet and tabby tom stepped into the center of all of the cats. "We must do something about these foxes, they are putting us all in danger by living in OUR forest and marshland. They must be chased off, I do not wish to live in fear of my life every time I take a step outside of this hollow", he meowed was firm and was loud enough for all to hear. If he could get these cats to agree and fight with him, maybe they stood a chance of winning back their territory.
Silvers dappled ears perked up when she heard Pine speak. His words were wise and she knew deep down that these foxes would't leave without a fight. "I agree, these lands belong to us. But from what I can tell there are three foxes roaming the forest and marshlands, and with our numbers now it would not be enough to chase them off or kill them. We would need more cats... who can fight." The she-cat knew that there was no winning if it was only them, she knew that there were other cats out there, they would have to find them and convince them to help chase off the foxes.

Okay!)
Red sat under his hazel bush, ears pricked and alert. He had heard from passing cats that there were foxes around. He licked a paw and drew it over his ear, then going back to alertness. He wasn't going to let any fox near his den. He had also heard that there was a hollow that many cats were going to, as that was the safest place away from them. He wasn't ready to meet new cats. He eased a little, getting weary. He tucked his paws under his body. He figured he would rest. Then he heard a fox's bark, a little way off. His ears flattened. He knew it was now or never. He grabbed his herb bundle in his jaws, and started running towards the safe hollow, his russet tail streaming behind him. he cautiously looked down into the hollow. He saw a few other cats. He took a deep breath, and started to step down into the hollow.
