Branchstep padded onwards with Lightningpaw, he sniffed. Following Mistystream's scent trail, he looked at the apprentice. " I believe Mistystream would be at camp by now."

"So she would be ok?" asked the apprentice nervously. She was usually a pretty advanced apprentice for her age but it was times like this where it showed she barely more than a kit. She had yet to deal with more than her own mother's death in the clan.

The last thing Branchstep wanted was for Mistystream to be injured and be unable to look after the sick, and with no medicine cat apprentices in the clan. The outcome could be threatening. |

Lightningpaw heard something behind her and flipped around, her hair standing up. She then spotted her mother Moonshadow and Iceshiver. She was obviously embarrassed at what had occurred.
Moonshadow chuckled softly so that the apprentice could not hear.
