Moonshadow noticed that the clan scents seemed more mixed than usual.

Moonshadow recognized Mistystream's scent, but was puzzled about what that could mean. "I scent Mistystream but she has more leeway in her duties to cross the border than a regular warrior."
Lightningpaw was nervous to say anything when both her mother and her mentor were here, but she spoke up anyway. "Then why is the HazeClan scent so strong?" She knew all of the cats must have been thinking the same thing.

"Maybe Mistystream was out collecting herbs and a hazeclan cat attacked her?" Branchstep suggested, tilting his head. The medicine cats scent was strong along with a hazeclan scent he was unfamiliar with.

Lightningpaw followed moved to Branchstep's side ready to follow Mistystream's scent trail.
