Leader's Den | Evening Branchstar | 89 Moons | Male [ ooc ]
"The apprentices?" Branchstar's brow furrowed, his mind blank for a moment, "Oh, Leafheart's little ones. They that big already?" More of a mutter to himself, "Yes, I should like to see them. Falconfoot has not kept me updated... hmm. Where is he?" He'd begun to wonder– why was Timberjaw in here, bothering him about apprentices when his deputy should be informing him about their progress? Branchstar shrugged it off as Falconfoot being too busy for the little details, it was quite kind of Timberjaw to keep him up to date. "What is this you're saying about the youths not standing one another?" He snorted at the thought of young males and females glaring at each other, hating their very presence. It was absurd, and he said as much to his old friend. Really looking at the tom, Branchstar did wonder what on earth happened to him. He was hale yesterday, but today he seemed to be falling apart... what in StarClan's name was going on? He must speak to Waspbite, if this accelerated aging was contagious the whole Clan was in danger. "Tell me, has there been anything unusual happening in camp recently?" Branchstar did not want to offend his friend but the matter really had to settled. "Have you encountered anything odd in the territory?" coding by officialrainleafwcf

SkyClan News:
I've now updated the front page with relavent info. Please let me know via PM if you want to participate in the future coup of Branchstar– it's a ways off but I'd like to make a list of cats who are 100% a new leadership, cats who are indecisive, and those who are staunchly loyal to their insane leader.
I've also got a new plot in mind for SkyClan, one that runs somewhat parallel with this one: a crisis of religious faith, more specifically a lack of faith in StarClan. I'd like to get an idea of what y'all think about that kind of plot, and there might be another 5-Clan wide one that might be starting up sooner rather than later and it will for sure be a motivating factor in this particularly Clan-wide side plot.
Also for those who have listed dead relatives for your chracters, please let me know how old they were and what they died of so I can add the appropriate info to the StarClan/Dark Forest section. Also do not be afraid to ask if one dead relative can be placed in the Dark Forest. I plan for the dead to be moderately involved, if only in mention in this rp. SkyClan will have lots of lore relating to the dead, I'm just writing out some stories for them. Like, the stories elders will tell kits and what not, despite the fact that we don't have any XD

{{ Odd? He didn't recall, though he supposed a proper response was due. "Nothing strange at all my friend. If anything I am only feeling the surplus of extra work I endure each day." An innocent comment, though he thought it better not to go into detail. It had already been proven that any mention of the former deputy was a bad idea- he'd rather not attempt to tell Branchstar that he and Cherrysong had been sharing the duties of patrols and the likes while there was no other seniors to aid them. It was a tiring task, especially given that his fellow senior warrior was not the most adept in keeping her head straight come the tiring and troublesome tasks. He only pray that the next full moon gathering with the other clans may not destroy Skyclan- a fearsome thought. Should Branchstar lose his temper, and without a Deputy... oh, how his head spun. They'd arrive without Deputy or Medicine Cat. Riverclan would hang Medicine Cat training over their heads for seasons to come. And to worsen it? He well and truly didn't believe Riverclan could save them. Different territories- he worried they may use a vast majority of herbs differentiating to what Skyclan had available. How all that worked out, he would not know, but it was troublesome nonetheless.
Drawing his mind away from his anxieties, he now rose to his paws and gave a please little flick of his kinked tail. "The Apprentices await their Leader's approval, Branchstar. Best not keep them waiting too long, aye? Little ones are always impatient." He couldn't afford to drift into his own thoughts now, not when he was so close to make headway and reminding the aging tom before him that his clan was still here- that they still needed him. So he withdrew, aiming to guide him through the camp and toward the training hollow in which he knew the eldest of the apprentices had gone.

{ alright, sorry for the incredibly long wait sweetclover1, i'm at school so finding time to get online is rather difficult ^^ }
Laying a little ways from the fresh-kill pile, Nightstag clenched his teeth together, desperate to close his jaws as a wide yawn tried to overcome him. He wanted to appear alert to impress his fellow clanmates. The darkening sky above appeared in a blur, and even though it saddened the black tom that he couldn't see what others saw, he still thought it looked beautiful. It reminded him of his days as a rouge kit, with his mother. She had once said that, even though the sky was full of stars, he was the only one she cared about. He shook his head to clear it from the warm memories as he heard another cat approach. No sooner had he noticed the sound of pawsteps than Runningfoot had appeared. The brown and cream tom looked like he had just discovered he had accidentally bit into crowfood. Maybe I can cheer him up, Nightstag thought. Rising from his resting spot, he bounded towards the younger tom. "How are you?" He said as he reached his side, pity and curiosity glowing in his eyes.

SkyClan Camp | Evening Cherrysong | 60 Moons | she-cat [ ooc ]
Cherrysong wandered around the camp. She was finished with her patrol with Stormtrail and Timberjaw but wasn't happy about Branchstar's decision. Her ears flattened as she heard the words in her head play over and over and she accidently bumped into another cat. She fell on her rump and shook her head a bit before looking up at who she bumped into and was quite afraid. "S-sorry I didn't mean to," she stuttered she was obviously afraid of the tom in front of her and didn't know what to say. She was afraid if she said anything else he would possibly yell at her. She decided to calm down. He wasn't going to bite off or chew on her ears or anything so it was best to stay calm. coding by officialrainleafwcf

Camp | Evening Owlscreech | 34 moons | Male [ x ]
It wasn't like he was doing anything important; unless you count standing around and looking important. But in any case, the tom was just merely standing, oblivious to anyone else around him except maybe himself. One moment he was lost in his own oblivion of his daydreams and then the next moment they were distrupted, shattered like ice. His ears perked up in surprise and he whirled around to see who the culprit was, eyes flashing momentarily with annoyance. That look was gone in an instand as soon as Owlscreech saw who had bumped into him. "Ah Cherrysong darling, I didn't notice you at all there!" He meowed in mock surprise, his voice carrying out as it always did. Rather rude is was for him to talk that way, considering the she-cat was nearly twice his age. To think he would show a little more respect? Nope. Not at all. "No need to sputter about like a newly-made apprentice. Of course you didn't mean to bump into me," The brown tabby tom gave a small nudge to help the fallen senior warrior up. Ok so maybe he did have a some sense of humanity. "No one in their right mind would ever do such a thing to someone else. Especially me for the matter." Owlscreech gave a deep chuckle at that and a 'friendly' wink. Scratch that about have a little sense of good faith. This tom was surely something. If there was only a word to describe him... coding by officialrainleafwcf

SkyClan Camp | Evening Cherrysong | 60 Moons | she-cat [ ooc ]
The multi colored she-cat looked up at him. She flicked an ear at him and gave a sigh. "So what are you doing out here?" she asked her voice had a bit more confidence than before knowing that this tom seem to be hitting on her? She paid no mind to it, he must simply be trying to woo her or something. She didn't much like it especially since she knew he really didn't mean it, after all she didn't find herself pretty or anything. Just a waste of time for a tom pretty much. To her, her looks are dull her personality was a bit sharp, but that was it. "Look I know you don't have any feelings for me, so cut the act," she scolded. She hated it when others try to make her feel like they have such feelings when they don't. "Besides, aren't I a little bit to old for you," she said jokingly. coding by officialrainleafwcf

Camp | Evening Owlscreech | 34 moons | Male [ x ]
The tom's eyes furrowed a bit. Did this she-cat really think he was hitting on her? The nerve of her. She's definitely too old for my taste, if I had a taste for anyone at all. Like I was ever implying any of that to her. Owlscreech mentally scoffed to himself, holding his tongue in for once lest to get into dangerous territory with Cherrysong. He had enough common sense to know not to get the thorns too deep in the warriors older than he. That didn't mean he didn't accidentally get to that point at times. It has happened before. "I meant no implication of what you seem to interpret from the words I spoke. Your thoughts, not mine." The tom meowed airily, a hint of arrogance carrying of in his tone. He gave a dismissive flick of the ear in an attempted to close any further discussion of the topic. Owlscreech gave a quick cough to clear his throat- and any awkward tension. "As for for my doings? Nothing that concerns the likes of you at this particular moment as you had just arrived here." He replied a bit curtly. His head then tilted slightly to the side, and he raised an 'eyebrow' at the senior warrior as he questioned her almost testily. "How about you Cherrysong, if I may so ask my fine friend? What have you been doing? Besides well, obviously have been disrupted by the presence of me." There was almost a hint of amusement somewhere along those lines. The younger warrior was certainly staring to push some boundaries even though he didn't realize it. His so called 'curiosity' came out more as something intruding and pestering questions. It was just how he was at times... unfortunately for a lot. coding by officialrainleafwcf

SkyClan Camp | Evening Cherrysong | 60 Moons | she-cat [ ooc ]
The multi colored she-cat looked at him. "To be honest I'm a little bit troubled of the events I've heard about. Mostly to do with Branchstar, I use to look up to him but now I don't know where his head is," she said. Cherrysong was confused and she hasn't been thinking straight herself due to this. "What are we going to do? He's more worried about finding a medicine cat more than a deputy. Doesn't he know that if he doesn't find a deputy StarClan will become angry?" Cherrysong was becoming frazzled trying to keep her voice down so the Skyclan leader won't hear her. She knew he wouldn't but still. "And what he said to Rabbitwhisker basically accusing him of being a Thunderclan spy." coding by officialrainleafwcf

Camp | Evening Owlscreech | 34 moons | Male [ x ]
Wonderful, a discussion about their glorious leader. Couldn't this day get any better? Owlscreech rolled his eyes. "His head was lost in the dirt ages ago," he scoffed. "Now it's just full of bees." His opinions on the matter were as clear as day just by simply looking at his expressions and tone. The tom had honestly no care in the world if Branchstar heard him, not caring how is voice projected unlike Cherrysong whom was becoming frenzy with her word choice. "Oh, Starclan is the least of his worries. A majority of his own Clan is angry at him." His narrowed golden gaze glanced back where the leader had been standing before. "He doesn't even realize his old deputy is dead Cherrysong. What are the chances he's actually going to pick a deputy?" Now Owlscreech hadn't been there at the moment to hear Branchstar accuse Rabbitwhisker of such a thing as spying; however, what he heard from the she-cat was enough to further make his point. The tom gave his ear a passive flick. "Another point to prove sadly that no one is safe from this lunatic." He commented dryly. The more he talked about Branchstar, the more irritated he became. Just thinking about the leader made his pelt prickle in annoyance. "I am getting sick and tired of all this. Someone needs to do something about the old loon." His ears flattened and his tone was on edge, the hint of a growl almost in there. He could not honestly express how much of this he despised. Someone really did need to do something about this, or Skyclan was going to crumble under his leadership. This needs to stop. Someone needs to do it... or I will... He thought grimly, darker thoughts staring to roam his mind. True Owlscreech was mostly bark not bite, but at this point not quite so. There were times where he was actually considering taking matters to his own accord. One way or another, this would eventually stop. coding by officialrainleafwcf

SkyClan Camp | Evening Cherrysong | 60 Moons | she-cat [ ooc ]
Cherrysong looked at Owlscreech. "Usually I would ignore you, but you're right. He's no longer able to lead this Clan, apprentices are not made warriors and kits are not made apprentices. It's just a vicious cycle," she said her voice carrying a bit of malice. "He's constantly forgetting his duties or he is trapped in the past. It's disturbing, and I have lost any respect I had for him." Cherrysong was quite loyal to Branchstar and would always defend for him, but now she saw what was really going on, and now she feels like she can no longer defend him. It honestly broke her, and it hurt her deeply. "I honestly didn't want to turn my back on him, but he literally didn't give me a choice, hearing his choices and his accusations to those who he used to know is baffling." Cherrysong looked up at Owlscreech. "We need a new leader." coding by officialrainleafwcf

(Thats okay! I'm the same way X3 School is insane!)
Runningfoot
"Gah! Oh, ah, H-hey Nightstag," He stuttered, jumping slightly at the sound of a new voice. The young warriors pale eyes studied the dark-furred tom in front of him carefully, letting out a small purr, "Me? I'm good. How are you?" He asked. Runningfoot considered Nightstag a good friend of his, them only being two moons a part in age. They had trained side-by-side for awhile, and they still remained friends after Nightstags warrior ceremony. He glanced at the fresh-kill pile, mind quickly deciding on a medium sized squirrel to eat, picking it up and settling not to far from Nightstag. He flicked his ears, inviting his friend to eat with him, hoping that he hadn't caught Runningfoot sulking. He never truly told another cat about his wishes of healing, and, now with Branchstars mind seemingly set, there was no point in bringing it up. It would just make him wish more for something he could never attain. So why dwell on it??

Heading to the Training Grounds | Evening Branchstar | 89 Moons | Male [ ooc ]
"As they should, as they should." Branchstar grumbled, padding along side Timberjaw. He glanced at the tiny meeting between Owlscreech and Cherrysong and huffed, "Dunno why she's bothering with that miscreant. A rat, I say. He's a slimy rat, waiting to turn tail and run. Bloody coward." For once, he wasn't thinking in the past, or forgetting the cat. No he knew who he was talking about. Owlscreech, slippery snake of a cat. Younger warrior, one who's ceremony he'd dreaded. Power hungry and devious, Branchstar worried that he'd make a play for leadership and the old munchkin wasn't as hale as he once was. Couldn't withstand an attack anymore. "Show me these apprentices– lets see if they're worth their mettle.. and if they've earned their warrior names. Any suggestions from their mentors as to what they could be called?" Odd, deja-vu was setting in for the old tom. Had he said this before? No.. well, actually it was quite likely. He'd done so many ceremonies in the past– it was incredibly likely he'd said similar words. "Impatience has it's place, in training but not in battle. Eh, Timberjaw?" Branchstar chuckled. coding by officialrainleafwcf

Camp | Evening Owlscreech | 34 moons | Male [ x ]
The tom's golden eyes sparked with interest. He was genuinely surprised that the she-cat was actually on his side. "I have to say Cherrysong, I'm actually taken aback that someone actually agrees with what I say. Others I've chatted with unfortunately were either hesitant and unsure or had contradicting opinions to what I've had." Owlscreech gave a nod of approval. "Your words speak true my friend," he meowed in agreement. "Under no circumstances is this right for anyone. We cannot keep going like this." From the corner of his eye he noticed Branchstar and the older warrior Timberjaw passing by. Owlscreech caught the leader looking at him followed by whispering to his companion. He gave the leader a blank stare, showing no emotions towards Branchstar when he looked at him so. Stare at me and whispers things all you want you old coot. You probably thought me as a traitor and scum as soon as I was born. The younger warrior thought, sneering to himself. For all he knew this was all most likely true. Owlscreech then turned his attention back to Cherrysong. So she thought they needed a new leader as well. Things were slowly turning towards his advantage. The brown tabby tom gave a curt nod. "Good to see someone agrees with me. It is also nice to know there will be some on my side for the things to come. I wonder how Skyclan fare upcoming?" That last question he let drift off wistfully into the air, as with himself. The tom suddenly padded off, leaving the older warrior to her own thoughts. This was only the beginning, and things seemed to be going well for him. coding by officialrainleafwcf

SkyClan Camp | Evening Cherrysong | 60 Moons | she-cat [ ooc ]
Cherrysong watched as the tom left. She looked up at the sky and sighed. "Starclan forgive me," she said and she headed off to the warriors den. "I'm sorry Branchstar, but I can no longer defend you. I hope you can forgive me in time," she said curling up into her nest and looking out in the outside world. She couldn't sleep and sadly she doesn't even know if she can. She became afraid of sleep for a while wondering if her dreams would turn into cruel thoughts like she's been thinking. She didn't want to see them, let alone hear them. She only sighed and tried to close her eyes and tries to make her self relax so she can actually rest and be free from the stress she was under. coding by officialrainleafwcf
