[ Headcanon is that Annie falls to her death and when they reach her, she's not dead yet. It's not quite night yet, but in the mountains the sky is clear and you can already see dozens of stars so she gets to see her falling star before she dies. Those would be her last words, "I guess I get to see the stars afterall" or something like that, I'm estimating she'll be at least 6-7 moons by the time they properly cross the mountains. It'll take about 7-8 moons for the whole journey and them finally ending up in their new territory. ]

He didn't understand why Storm was so sad. "You just go to sleep. Why is it so sad? It's just going to sleep..." Chester's mother, being in foster care, often fabricated things- but Chester, being a small kit, didn't understand it. "I figured the wild cats don't sleep like that, they don't have time for it. They needed to hunt and guard territory and such, they don't need sleeping!"

Jackdaw & Annie || Abandoned Nest - -
Ah, the stars. So he wasn't the only one thinking about those as well. "I'm sure you'll see some shooting stars..." Jackdaw meowed wistfully. His answer was probably lost within the she-kit's excitement, seeing that Annie wasn't paying all that much attention to him. When she had pointed out the abandoned nest, sure enough he saw it looming in the distance. "Wonderful. Glad—" Whatever else the tom had to say was left in the dust. Literally. Annie ran off without another comment, trailing dust behind her. "Annie! Wait up!" Jackdaw called out, and chased after the kit. He was honestly surprised the kit had taken off that quickly. After a bit of chasing her, he realized that it would be pointless trying to chase it. Might be wise to slow down, he thought, lest some cat thinks I'm chasing her. So he slowed down his pace to a gentle gait, taking his time to catch up the the excitable kit.
[ x - - Oooh boy, what is this very sad headcannon Fea?
Edit: Oh my god that's so sad D: Poor Jackdaw... he'll be really affected seeing that he'll have formed this fatherly bond with her and gah ;v;

Storm, Chester, Giovanni and Rabbit --- Making their way from Lake Lane, currently leaving Seashore Square and entering Apple Avenue towards the Abandoned Twoleg Nest.
"Let me explain. When we die, our bodies become the grass and the mice eat the grass. When you kill a spider, the spider does not come back. It is eaten by flies, and the flies are eaten by birds, who are eaten by us and when we die we become grass which are eaten by ants which are eaten by spiders. Do you see the circle now?" Storm was still patiently trying to explain how death works but this kitten was so painfully naive and confident in his knowledge. This would be hard without a physical example. "Some cats.. some cats don't get to just sleep. If you're old, and if you are very very lucky, you go to sleep and then Death takes you that way. You never wake up, it's an eternal dream. Others-" Thoughts of his sister, begging for Storm to save her as she bled out on the concrete, crossed his mind. "Others aren't so lucky. They die violently, suddenly, like that spider you swatted from it's cobwebs." He paused in his explanation when he heard Chester protest that wild cats didn't sleep. Storm laughed, "We sleep, Chester. We even dream, just like you" He poked the kitten in the side gently, a light tickling motion. "Death comes for all of us, in the end. For some it comes sooner" The male's eyes closed for a moment, nose crinkling ever so slightly. He thought of his little girl, his bright eyed, eager to learn little Shadow. Small and innocent when he'd found her and the bodies of her broken parents. Her laughter when he first taught her how to catch a mouse. Her labored breathing as the poison worked it's way through her system. The silence and then the loud wailing of Annie when Shadow's time had finally come to an end. When Storm's gold eyes reopened, they were slightly shinier than they were before. "And for the lucky it comes much later."
Annie and Jackdaw ----- Outside the Abandoned Twoleg Nest.
Annie really should have waited for Jackdaw, but her little legs were tiring out. She wasn't too far from the entrance most cats used, a hole in the door, big enough for a cat but too small for a dog. Panting, the bright eyed kitten waited for the older tom she'd escorted here. So pleased with herself for being a good guide.

Description ;; Luna is a large lithe fluffy black she-cat with her long feathery fur surrounding her. Her eyes are pale blue round orbs filled with wonder. Her long feathery is soft, although, it has a few tangles. Her left ear has been ripped with a few claw marks on her back. Her underbelly is white along with her chest and a little spot of white on her muzzle.
Personality ;; Luna is a quiet and reclusive to other cats. She rather keeps to herself and doesn't trust anyone, she doesn't partake in conversations and never wishes to do so. She's here to guard and protect others, but also not get attached to others. Luna has been abandoned throughout her life but, and it shaped her to never trust others. It left a bitter taste on her tongue, and she never allowed herself to partake in relationships in fear of being once again abandoned by those who she thought cared.
Faction ;; What faction? [Rouge] Luna lived in Maple Wood park for a while trying to catch some mice or a squirrel to satiate her hunger.
Companions ;; Luna is not interested in joining a glaring but keeping to herself. She will only join if she had to for her own survival or benefit from it.

It's confusing!" said Chester in a slightly overwhelmed tone. Chester had never thought of it that way before. Giovanni was still pretty annoyed by the cat. "It's not confusing, kid. What a total idiot," he mumbled under his breath so nobody but he and Rabbit could hear.

She was just trying to keep you safe" Gently stated, much in the same tone he would use with Annie. "Because.. well. Lets think of it this way. Life is in love with Death and so she makes gifts, which are living creatures, to show Death how much she loves him. Some gifts take no time at all to get to Death, others take a long time. Like a twoleg takes an eternity to get to Death but an ant can take but a moon before Death receives it. Sometimes accidents happen and Death manages to get his presents earlier than expected." He did not want to explain murder to this kitten, not until he was older. Not even Annie knew about murder yet.

"Annie is my daughter. I've got Annie and– well, just Annie now. There's another young male who lives with us, Trace. He's a bit of a rascal." Storm explained, "My Annie is nice, but she's.. well. She's a little rabble rouser. Trouble maker. Don't let her boss you around, because she'll try. I think she'll like you fine, been asking for another kitten to play with." He chuckled, imagining the ginger kitten's excitement. She'd been asking for a sibling since before Shadow passed, one closer to her age. Of course, Annie had no idea how kittens even came about and he was not looking forward to that discussion, ever. He knew for a fact that as soon as Chester came into view, Annie would bowl him over and demand that he stay forever. Probably call him little brother, or something equally shocking to poor Chester. Annie was a character, and Storm loved her dearly.
[ Little does Storm know, he'll never have to give that discussion. ]
