{im going through so many head canons rn: Susanna and Cosmo eventually tolerating each other= them becoming ultimate partners in crime {not romantic} im literally so confused with myself I have thought of too many different theories in the past three minutes}
"I never said I had it harder than you, that was never even implied." Cosmo argued. "I simply stated that we show cats have a higher standard than the cats on the street." He purposely avoided calling them filth, as that would only make her even more annoyed.
{thats an odd crime, though I do understand}

(I like the idea of them growing to tolerate each other actually) "Well, it seems only trivial minds like yours can appreciate trivial things like cat shows. And sometimes standard means durability, as in my situation," she explained. "Besides your cat shows and lineage, you are a very ordinary cat with a very ordinary personality- not particularly deserving of pedigrees."
(What I find hilarious about it is that right after the royal family in France was killed, Mozart went "oh, let's make an opera out of that play!" And hilarity ensued.)

Cosmo let out a small gasp. "Not deserving of pedigrees? Not deserving of pedigrees?!" His eyes bulged in anger "How dare you. You know nothing about me or pedigree, if you knew, you wouldn't have dared say that to my face. I suggest you stop gracing me with your opinions on my lifestyle, because you know nlthknf! Nothing I tell you. You probably dont even know what caviar is!" He shot her a disgusted look before continuing in silence.
{I love how that was just morally acceptable.}

"Alright then, have fun with your hissy fits! And I doubt your days ever are exciting. Do you do the same thing every day? And when you get too old for the cat shows, what will you do then? From what I hear, Twolegs put the old has-beens to sleep. Fame is fleeting," she said almost as if it were a warning. "I know because I've seen it up-close. Nothing ever lasts for eternity."
(Mozart was basically a genius manchild who broke every existing social law. He enjoyed crude humor, he made jokes that only made sense to himself, when he was stressed he would take off his shoes and act like a cat for a few hours... And yet he's one of the most (if not the most) famous composers out there.)

Cosmo shuddered as she mentioned the Twolegs putting their show cats to sleep. He didnt think that would have happened to him, but for a moment he was glad to be leaving. "What do you mean you've seen it up close?" He asked quietly.
{that sounds like a great lifestyle, not going to lie. "Sorry everyone im just a bit stressed, im going to go act like a cat for a few hours dont disturb me."}

Jackdaw & Annie || Construction Zone - -
The tom was rather taken aback when the kit had called him Uncle Jackdaw. Uncle? But... I've barely just met her... how? To say the least, Jackdaw was at a loss for words. Quickly though, his worries were slightly put aside realizing that Annie had similar titles for the cats she had mentioned. Still, he couldn't help feel some unease. Yet at the same time he felt... this heart-warming feeling? Jackdaw pushed all other thoughts aside with a mental shake of his head. "Sounds good to me," he replied, nodding his head. "Lead on."
[ x - - Another headcannon that Jackdaw becomes a more fatherly figure to Annie if Storm somehow becomes more distant from her.

"I used to live by this old cat named Sparkplug. He looked exactly like you, only his Siamese points were bright orange. He grew old and his owners called a vet over to the house. Through the window, I saw him get a shot from the vet- and he was gone, quick as that. Not that I missed him, he spent all the time complaining he was better than us rogues and loners. Not even his owners really seemed to miss him- they were focused on his many kits and breeding them as much as possible. The endless show cat cycle."
(Mozart was pretty great though. He also was a Freemason, and his last opera is actually basically a shrine to Freemasonry. Although his kids all died right after birth and he angered more people than he befriended)

Annie, of course, didn't think too much of it. She called most adults "auntie" or "uncle" unless they specifically told her not to. Storm did not try and correct her, choosing instead to let her build her family that way. But he did choose which adults she could be around, more often than not it was one of the dock cats or, more recently, Sirius. "It's south of the Construction Zone so.. not too big of a walk. It's really falling apart though" She padded along, hopping on paint cans and wood piles, climbing up and down on everything she could. "Dad says that when I get big I'll get to have my own nest, my own den. I'll get to pick my bed time, if I want a bed time at all, but he says even grown up needs sleep. When I grow up- I'll be strong enough to reach the branches that I'll need to reach to climb the trees you get to climb when you're grown up. Do you think that there will be many trees in our new home? I like the ones in Maplewood Park but– I dunno. They're so little, and sickly."

Chester was watching Lake Lane from his fence when he spotted a group of wild cats. Wild cats! He had certainly never seen anything like them before! Deciding to go for an adventure, he jumped off the fence and followed them, his yellow jingle bell clanking with noise. Perhaps he could become friends with them! They seemed to be in a hurry, so he remained quiet, deciding to let them notice him first.

Storm, of course, heard the clanking of a bell, glancing over his shoulder and seeing something... small ducking in and out of sight. He snorted, it was a kitten, a house cat little one got out and was following them. Well, he'd keep an eye on 'em, make sure nothing bad would happen. However, he pretended not to notice the kitten, keeping his pace steady so the youth wouldn't be lost.

Chester, looking around, found that nobody seemed to notice him. Nobody knows I'm here! What fun!, he thought. I'm stealthy like a real wild cat! He was instantly pushed back by a large dark brown striped tom with a long, ringed tail. "Hey, Junior, move it. We don't need little house cats like you, this is for us rogues only." Chester looked up at him. "But I can be big and strong! I can be a wild cat just like you!" Giovanni, the tabby tom he was talking to, recoiled in disgust at his striped collar. "Not with that tacky collar, you won't. It looks like a squirrel designed that thing." He remembered his own collar- a black one with white stitching and an iron-metal G-shaped tag on it that was originally on an old Twoleg mailbox. His was refined- this fabric collar looked horrendous. "What's wrong with my collar?" asked Chester, his head tilted in confusion. "It's plain ugly. And you're going to have a tough time being stealthy with that loud bell. And you're a lone kit with no experience! You won't survive out there, kid. Go back wherever you came from."

[ Yup. Storm is gonna adopt Chester XD ]
Storm turned when the dingling of the bell had stopped, and promptly scowled when he saw Giovanni scolding the kitten. "Let him be, Giovanni." He growled out, stomping over. Tail lashing, the monstrous male, glared at the other adult male, teeth flashing as he snapped, "This is not just for rogues. If it was you would be no where near us. I know who you are. Do not let me catch you at this again." Turning his gaze on the kitten, Storm's eyes softened. "Do you want to come with us, boy?" he asked, still gruff although there was a warmth in his voice that had been very absent moments previous when he chewed out Giovanni.

Chester backed up a bit when he heard Storm scold Giovanni, but he relaxed once Storm became more warm and addressed him instead. "Yes! I want to become friends with all the wild cats! I always thought it would really fun to be friends with them." Giovanni rolled his eyes at the young orange tabby male. What an idiot. Does he not know that he's more likely to die out here than to make friends?, he thought to himself. Chester remained blissfully unaware of the fact that Giovanni and Rabbit were glaring at him, following Storm happily.

The pretty she-cat knew exactly what he was hinting. "And no, I don't have kittypet blood. I guess my parents must've liked the name Alix." Changing the subject, the she-cat grinned. "Trace, huh? Nice to meet ya, Trace." She gracefully stretched. "Do you live with any glaring?" Alix was relaxed in the company of the tom. He seemed friendly enough, anyway.

Jackdaw & Annie || Leaving Construction Zone, heading to Abandoned Nest - -
So the tom followed the kit through the Construction Zone. He easily and nimbly made his way through the various things piled all over the area. Normally he would have been able to go at a much faster rate, having been maneuvering his way through many obstacles such as these for a long time, but he kept himself at a steady pace for the sake of Annie. She was only a kit after all. His whiskers twitched in amusement, listening to the kit talk about her future life all grown up. When she had asked about the trees, Jackdaw had to take a moment to think about it. He hadn't been out beyond the city to see what was out there so he pretty much knew as little as she did. There was no was he was going to disappoint her though so he assured her replying, "I'm sure there were be countless of trees for you to climb to your heart's desire. Most definitely better than the ones in Maplewood Park."

"Life out here is hard, boy. It's not fun. It's dangerous." Storm addressed the happily clanging kitten. "First things first, before any of this, I need to know two things" Leaning down, Storm stared into Chester's eyes, unblinking with a very serious expression. "First, what is your name." There was a glimmer of humor in his gold gaze, "The second question, I'll ask you when the night is over. After that, we'll know where you stand."

"My name's Chester; what's yours?" said the little kitten. He seemed confused. "Why isn't it fun? It seems like it, being on your own and hunting and such..." Chester didn't really understand- was being a wild cat good or not?

"I hope so, and I want to see billions of stars. I want to see the sky lit up with them. Do you think we'll see shooting stars?" She didn't exactly wait for a response as Annie was practically vibrating with excitement. They eventually cleared the Construction Zone and she gasped loudly, "Oh look! There it is!" She chirped, gesturing with her paw towards the falling down house in the distance. It loomed, like a dark shadow in the backglow of the city lights. "Come on, Uncle Jackdaw! Everyone will be there!" She quickly took off, little paws thrumming against the dry earth, sending up little clouds of dust into the night.

"Being able to hunt on your own is a fantastic feeling, Chester. There is no such feeling as knowing that your own life is in your paws but– if you do not hunt then you do not eat and if you do not eat, you die. When you are at home, even if you fail at hunting, you always have food in your bowl, do you not?" Storm waited for the kittens response, pace slow and even so the kitten didn't have to run to keep up with his strides. He needed to be sure that the kit knew the consequences of losing his collar and joining their ranks. Of course, the large male would scoop the youth up and make sure that he found his feet, adopting him in a heartbeat as he had Trace, then Shadow and finally Annie.

"Well, not always. Sometimes the Twoleg kits at my nest would throw their dinner around so I would have to catch it," he explained. "I found it fun, the older Twolegs didn't." He thought for a while. "Death's just sleeping very long though. I would come back after a while. My mother said death was just a big sleep, so since I sleep every night, I would come back!" he explained, a spark of cheerfulness and blissful unawareness in his eye. "Why do you act like it's some kind of huge thing?"

"Oh my sweet summer child, Death is... Death is not just a long sleep. You don't come back, Chester" Storm's face grew very sad, "Have you.. ever squished a spider?" He tentatively asked, and then barreled on through. He hated giving these talks. With Annie, he had to explain why Old Sam wasn't waking up, that awful awful morning they discovered he'd died in his sleep. This was going to be difficult. "Did your mother ever tell you about the circle of life?"
