I'd like to put the first challenge on this board! Please use this space to make a log of fun events that occur while attempting the challenge, and to post your results! I'll keep a scoreboard on the second post for people that have participated!
The challenge is simple: collect as many cats as possible within 100 moons! That's it! I'll have a few sets of additional rule constraints for harder challenge run tiers~ Please say which ruleset you're using when posting results!
ANY%:
- No restrictions! Do everything you can or use any settings to help gather as many cats as you can.
- Mediator romance stacking is allowed ONLY in this tier! It is banned in all other formats (mediator romance makes it so easy to get mates quickly, which increases kit chances dramatically)
BASIC:
- Mass extinctions off
- Unknown second parent is on
- Mediator romance banned
CLAN ONLY:
- Unknown second parent OFF
- Same-sex adoption OFF
- You cannot take in any loners, kittypets or rogues; only former clan cat backgrounds can be accepted
- Mediator romance banned
CHALLENGE:
- mass extinction on
- must press antagonize where possible, otherwise proceed all patrols
- You can put the challenge rules on top of other tiers, getting Basic Challenge or Clan Only Challenge ect. Challenge is meant to erode your Clan away even as you're building it, making it much more difficult to snowball Clan growth

okay! I'm currently running this challenge using the basic ruleset. Also I have So Many Elders right now!! out of 70 cats, I have 10 elders! And four more of my warriors are elder shaped
pausing at moon 68. I have 113 living cats.
once you get enough to start sending out lots of patrols, it gets nuts how many cats you bring in for free. I could be more efficient, but I send out 3 cat border patrols (if I did one and do not proceed all non-recruit patrols, it would be an even bigger snowball, but I'm lazyyyy)

I feel this challenge would be very interesting combined with another Challenge I’ve done.
It’s technically supposed to be a Main Character Challenge but idk where my LifeGen file is, so I’ve been modifying it for Clan Gen.
It’s very dependent on the personalities of cats to determine proceeding on events. All cats that return with a kittypet collar are auto exiled, strikes for breaking the code, etc.

It’s interesting that cousin romance and mentor/apprentice romance is on but makes sense since you’re needing kits already.
I assume any kittypets that you do get are exiled.

I mean neither of these are in my set of basic rules. In the Clan Only challenge, kittypets are exiled if they join, yes. The only romance setting that is dictated by the challenge ruleset is unknown second parent, which is also off in Clan-only. The other settings are up to you. the two romance options are actually negligible in terms of kit production, with only a slight increase in odds, so it's not a significant advantage to turn them on. |

Ah! I assumed since they weren’t mentioned at all, they could be listed as on. Since they’re not mentioned if they’re on or off in basic ruling and otherwise. |

Alrighty, Clan Only. The only relation setting I have on is allow cats to breed with cats that aren’t their mates. And I clicked off increase same-sex adoption since any kits for a same-sex couple are going to be from out of the Clan.
So, any kits we get that are dropped off are likely going to be exiled unless they’re half Clan.

Trying to decide if I want to do an advanced mixed with clan only.
I’ve been wanting to antagonize all of the kittypets I can’t have instead of a do not proceed.

But I forget if there’s an antagonize option when you can recruit another Clan’s apprentice as that’s been the only way to properly get other cats In the Clan challenge.
