Welcome to RoseClan! This is a claim-a-cat roleplay made using Clangen. if you have never played the game, or are unsure of the mechanics - either watch a playthrough or play the game yourself! Some good stories such as GalaxyClan on YouTube, were made with this game!
RoseClan is part of a Partner-Clan RP alongside MeadowClan, owned by Polarized. These two clans will interact with eachother frequently, and will be connected in different ways. This RP is heavily based off of Brownie's YewClan and PlumClan roleplay - so a huge thanks to them for the inspiration, and thank you to Polarized for agreeing to do this with me!
In this roleplay, the players write short responses between the game's turns, creating a world and deep characters out of the simulation's random events. Moon updates will come twice a week, with new events and responses. Make sure to read all the rules, because this is very different to a regular rp on the forums. Have fun!
NOTICE:
The game version RoseClan uses is a previous version, and therefore Borage is unable to use the official version. So some things may be randomly applied, just to fit the gameplay style of MeadowClan. x - CLAIMING - x
Any cat with the mark ‘open’, can be claimed. As a heads up, this might not be updated every day. It might be a week, or two. So if you are unsure if a cats open, just ask me! I don’t mind. If all cats are claimed, you can join a waiting list, and be notified when a cat is available. However, existing players who lose a cat will be prioritized over new players.
At the start, you may claim one cat, after some weeks of activity, you may then ask to claim another. If I say yes, then you can claim a 2nd cat.
If a unclaimed/unroleplayed cat has a * mark next to their name in the directory, their name can be changed. This mostly applies to kits and apprentices, however a new loner or rogue would also apply to this. Once a name has been changed, it cannot be changed again.
I also have the skills of file editing. This means I can change stuff about cats, such as personality traits and skills. If you have a good activity on the roleplay, and a recent change of your cat doesn’t match your storyline, I can go back and change the personality trait if you want.

- Follow all forum rules.
- LGBTQ+ Friendly. ClanGen supports this, all cats of any gender will flirt with eachother in game. This means homophobia or transphobia isn’t supported in ClanGen, and it sure won’t be tolerated in OOC either.
- For Activity, I expect you to atleast have a response for any major events your cat is in that moon. This could be a 4-8 sentence description, or more if you feel like it! Try responding to other players posts, or chatting to another cat in your post! It makes the rp feel much more welcoming.
- Try and keep OOC distinct. Most stuff should be in the discussion, and if you are speaking OOC in your post, use () or [].
- Try and use 4-8 sentences in your replies. More is better, but just try your best.
- Don’t God-Mode! Don’t control other players cats, and focus on your own cats thoughts, feels, says and does. Try not to be too specific for anyone else’s cats in your post. However, you may only do this if another cat in your prompt is unclaimed. Otherwise, you may not do this.
- Don’t include too much detail on gore, foul language or death. It will happen, it is warrior cats, but don’t use too much that it makes other people uncomfortable.

Cats will die. This is ClanGen, and I can’t stop that. You will follow your cat throughout the game, with twists and turns, and horrible plot points. A random event may occur, and your cat may die on patrol, catch a sickness or die in a main event. When you join, you must accept that your cat will come across hardships, or die in the game. The roleplay will continue, and you can claim another.

x - PROMPTS - x
A moon update will come two days a week. This will be every TUESDAY and FRIDAY. The game will progress 1 moon, You will receive an event summary of your cat’s actions during that moon.
A prompt is your take on a random event from ClanGen on your cat. It will be a starter, and you can describe a scene which I have added in the moon update. What does your cat think? What do they do about it? Feel free to use this time to really build a relationship with your cat. That’s the fun part!
And there is also a response, which is replying to another cat’s prompt. What does your cat do about it? What do they think? Does this change anything about that cat? The cats around them? You can make chain responses, and enjoy a more traditional back and forth roleplay like this.

What can you use to respond in your prompt? You can respond to;
thoughts, major events, patrol events, relationship pips and an event card.
A cats thought isn’t always important, but it is based off of your cats personality. This can be used to inspire different actions. This is found next to the cats name.
Major events are important things that happen every moon. These could direct one cat, or two, or the full clan! These usually have a large impact. If your cat is part of this, you are expected to address it that moon. This is marked by the Major events on your cat’s moon update.
Unless your cat is injured, sick, grieving or a kit, you will go on a patrol every moon. I will create a summary of that patrol, which you can interact with your patrol mates and link that with your other pips. There will be a patrol leader every moon, which will lead the patrol. This doesn’t have much difference, but feel free to include the responsibility in your response! You can choose to put your cat on a patrol with some other cats with permission, and ask me to do so next moon update. If I have permission from all owners of the cats, I will do so.
Relationship pips are interactions between cats. This could include arguments, conversations, or even flirting. These create relationships, and a good way to make a chained response with another player.
Here's something I added: I may also play with your cats on patrols. There is no automatic answer to patrols I put, so it is unknown whether or not your cat will die, until the next moon.
Another thing I added is that StarClan cat's thought prompts will be shown, and you can roleplay with them. But this is optional. x - PIPS - x
Relationship pips are gained and lost by:
Relationship events each turn.
Patrolling with another cat (smaller patrol = bigger relationship changes)
Your cats can gain (or lose) relationship points in these categories:
Romantic like
Platonic like
Dislike
Respect
Comfort
Jealousy
Trust
Each cat has a value in each of these categories for every other member of the Clan. Every ten moons, I will give you a more detailed breakdown of your cat's relationships with the rest of the Clan.
Patrols and interactions can also change your cat's skills and traits. These allow your cat to grow and thrive in the game.
x - TOGGLES - x
In the game, there is two toggles you can freely turn on and off. These are; Prevent Kits and Limit Romance.
Prevent Kits is simple. When turned on, your cat will not have or adopt kits. If you do not want your cat to be a parent, use this.
Limit Romance toggles your cats romantic interactions. Your cat will not flirt with others, and won’t accept mate requests. If your cat has a mate, they cannot break up with eachother. x - RULES IN GAME - x
These are the rules in Clangen that are toggled.
These settings WILL be outdated compared to the normal version.
- Mass extinction is OFF
Once the Clan has 20 cats, there will be a vote to turn this on.
- Cats CAN have kits with cats that are not their mates.
- Same-sex couples being able to have kits/adopt kits is ON
- Unmated cats having offspring is ON!
This setting will be toggled on and off for maximum drama.
- Romantic interaction with former mentors is OFF
- First cousin romances is also OFF
- Leaders will automatically choose a deputy!
- Apprentices will graduate when they reach 12 moons.
- Cats CAN retire from permanent conditions (such as chronic illness or injury)
- There will NOT be a mediator for this clan rp. Please read the outdated notice on the first post for reference. |

Welcome to RoseClan: The Mellow and Logical. RoseClan lives within the tall rocks in the tides, and not far from them is the Twolegs who live in beach houses to the west of RoseClan. A Former RoseClan Warrior, Lilacfoot, investigated them, and reported to the Clans that the Twolegs are safe to be around, and no cats were reported missing since Lilacfoot told the clans.
RoseClan was formed alongside CliffClan, the two clans being huge enemies. CliffClan would constantly try to invade RoseClan, but was met with thorns in their pelts and paws bleeding as they stepped. Rosestar once confronted Cilffstar and put him down as Rosestar stood with MeadowClan over CliffClan, and that was how Rosestar lost their last life, and was the first leader to die, and RoseClan began the deputy tradition.
RoseClan tries to balance out their agility and strength, but what matters most is how well they can do it in the water. RoseClan is very great at herb gathering, and also may collect things they find on the shore. RoseClan has multiple family lines, the most notable ones being the Rosestar line, the Duskriver line, the Orchidkite line, the Flurrybear line, and the Mistlethrush line; however the Orchidkite is the most well-known and the largest. Examples include how Daisykit is a Rosestar descendant, and Skyfur is a Orchidkite descendant. x - LAND - x
This Clan is known for having a very large territory, but not the largest. They live on a beach close to the shoreline, and the air smells of salty water.
Landmarks;
- High Rock: Located above the Leader's Den, where ceremonies and announcements are held. Shells lay around the rock, and the tip of the rock is where the leader will sit.
The Shoreline: a long, seemingly endless beach that sits right outside of RoseClan's camp. Cats sometimes fish here, as a lot of prey is found in the water.
Rose Garden: A circle of rose-bushes that blocks MeadowClan and the other clans, and it cuts off around The Shoreline. This garden was helpful to RoseClan during their war with MeadowClan, as the flower-brained MeadowClan cats who tried to attack camp were stabbed by the thorns and were forced to retreat. RoseClan cats were trained to properly pass through these bushes, so they would receive minimal injury.
Mini Pool: A small pool that sits in the middle of the camp. This pool can be used for cats to swim in/learn to swim in, and for kits to practice hunting because of the small living creatures in the water.
Palm Tree: An unusually large palm tree that sits nearby camp. Some cats use this to climb up and view the territory, while others use it for climbing practice.
Rosebed River: A somewhat shallow river that lies outside of the rose bushes. It's mostly safe, but it's more of a hazard to smaller cats.
Rosebed Plains: The area in-between the Rose Garden and RoseClan's Camp. The Rosebed Plains are used for battle practice and for kits to play in. There's a hole in the nursery that allows the kits to go out. Of course, they can't go out without being given permission.
Worn-Down House: an abandoned, worn-out beach house. Cherry and Strawberry's group lives in this house, and the cats understand clan terms better than Strike's group.
Rocky Wall: A rock wall that blocks RoseClan from CliffClan. However, cats can climb it because it's at more of an angle. RoseClan cats have it better since the wall leans away from them. x - CAMP - x
The camp is an open area with rocks and dead trees surrounding them. The ocean lives not far from them, putting them at risk of being washed away by a flood or tsunami. However, some plants live in the camp, and a tall palm tree stands on one side of the camp.

MeadowClan and RoseClan used to be allies, until the last leader Yarrowstar started a war against RoseClan's leader, Crabstar. Since Cavestar and Acornstar got their nine lives, they have started to rebuild their relationship, however Acornstar was skeptical. Sometimes the warriors from both clans mock eachother, sometimes in a friendly way and sometimes in an attempt of an insult. MeadowClan calls RoseClan fish-brains while RoseClan calls them flower-brains
CliffClan and RoseClan have a strong hatred for eachother. Well, more so of CliffClan to RoseClan than RoseClan to CliffClan. CliffClan constantly argues with RoseClan, but RoseClan just ignores them most of the time. Most often CliffClan just fights with them because of things that can span to 210 moons ago.
WoodlandClan and RoseClan were known to have been strict allies, however a fallout occurred when one year ago, the two deputies of the clans applied a secret planned battle, but after the battle was found out, both deputies were exiled, being replaced with Fishrunner, RoseClan's new deputy; and Pansyhop, WoodlandClan's new deputy. As of now, CliffClan and MeadowClan don't know of their status, but RoseClan and WoodlandClan know that they'll always be there for eachother.
RoseClan never heard of Strike's group, but another group of loners live in a small beach-like house that's worn down. Sometimes loners decide to go join RoseClan, and most of the time they're let in. The loners have no exact leader, but the most significant cats of the group are called Cherry and Strawberry, so RoseClan calls them Cherry and Strawberry's Group.
Cherry and Strawberry are almost identical twin she-cats who have red bengal fur with yellow underbellies. You can tell them apart by their eyes, as Cherry has darker green eyes while Strawberry has lighter green eyes. |

Skyfur is a long-furred smoky-brown pelted molly. She has stunning hazel eyes, and her fur is always groomed perfectly. She fears if it isn’t, others might make fun of her. Skyfur is an insecure molly, always making sure what she is doing is near perfection, because if it’s perfect, surely other cats wouldn’t judge, right? Despite her insecurity, she is a great speaker when she pushes this aside. She knows how to talk to a group of cats well, and feels as though Acornstar should’ve picked her instead of Fishrunner after the fake battle with WoodlandClan and the old deputies exile. Fishrunner may have been her mentor, teaching her everything she now knows, but Skyfur believes she would be a better leader for RoseClan, especially from her Orchidkite linage.

Bumblerunner is a long-furred golden she-cat with bright blue eyes. She isn't one to talk much, mostly preferring to keep to herself and her duties. A focused warrior is what Bumblerunner is. It isn't that she doesn't know how to communicate with her clanmates, in fact, speaking is something she is rather good at, it's just that she doesn't feel comfortable in social settings for long periods of time. Because of this gatherings can be slightly overwhelming, with Bumblerunner usually volunteering to stay and guard the camp whenever she can.

A cheery, goofy she-cat elder with a long blue-gray and white pelt. Despite being a revered elder now, this former warrior has lost absolutely none of her giddy and playful personality - despite how her bones might be more prone to protesting her shenanigans now. Aches or no, Icymist is still a keen and capable fighter, her muscles weakening but certainly far from gone. She's taught others in the past, and likes to try and keep acting as any coach to cats who will listen, both to help the next generations and to keep herself sharp in case she has to teach any of those troublesome CliffClan cats who's boss. She spends much of her time in the Rosebed Plains rather than the Elder's Den, so she can keep an eye on battle training and watch out for any rambunctious kits.

Bumblerunner
- Is sparring with some clanmates
Bumblerunner panted, rolling to get out of the way of a pawswipe from Skyfur. Or Wisteriabriar. The day was overcast, clouds covering the sky. The ocean was getting back into rhythm, its waves rolling onto the beach and back again. It wasn't a day cats would have much luck hunting with, and so Bumblerunner had decided to invite her fellow warriors out for a bit of a training session. Or a sparring session, one of the two.
It turned out, her competitors were a lot better than she had thought. She could hold her own, but hunting was really Bumblerunner's rodeo. Even Wisteriabriar had skills rivaling her own, and she had a kit in the nursery, however she had retuned to patrols recently, finding that Daisykit was fit to be in camp alone for a bit. It wasn't even that the kit would be alone- with two elders it was almost impossible.
Bumblerunner really liked Daisykit, the black tom looking almost the spitting image of his mother. He was still young, but he was so polite and charming everytime Bumblerunner ran into him. The fact that he was also the only kit made it almost impossible he didn't get spoiled, by his mother and the two elders, Icymist and Ravenpelt.
Another pawswipe came her way, and Bumblerunner ducked, striking out a paw of her own, aiming for the cats face. She missed, tumbling to the ground instead. Oof!
"Whoops!" She mewed, licking the sand out of her fur. "Turns out I'm not very good at this... heh."

Wisteriabriar awoke, herself curled around Daisykit, her son. She smiled and ruffled the small kitten's fur before she got up to get some air.
As she began walking, she heard Bumblerunner calling for her, and she turned to go to them. At the minimum, she should try to set a good example for them.

Wisteriabriar was able to go on patrols now, since Daisykit was able to be on his own now. He was like the prince of RoseClan, and Wisteriabriar wouldn't be shocked if Daisykit actually became a leader or a medicine cat. He was spoiled not just by her and the elders, but the other two warriors were smitten by Daisykit's behavior. More so on Bumblerunner's part, she didn't know much about Skyfur.
Wisterabriar knocked her paw at Bumblerunner, causing her to try to hit back but fell over. Wisteriabriar stepped back. "Nah you're fine don't worry." Wisteriabriar told her, shaking her fur, and turning to the sea.
"I might need to relax out here for a bit. Raising Daisykit is difficult, but I love my son." Wisteriabriar explained, before sitting on a platform rock by the sea.

Skyfur - Is curious about the other clans - Sparring with Bumblerunner, Wisteriabriar
Skyfur followed Wisteriabriar and Bumblerunner, two mollies she knew well. A day of sparring should take her mind off things. It wasn’t many moons ago that Acornstar had received his nine lives, and her former mentor Fishrunner had gained the role of deputy. She believed she would have been better of course, but what could she do? It wasn’t many moons until Fishrunner would retire anyways. Maybe, she would get Wisteriabriar’s only son as an apprentice. It wouldn’t be a wise choice to give him his mother as a mentor, as it was against the code. Especially since the amount of attention the young tom received.
Skyfur found it annoying, to be honest. Since RoseClan hadn’t had many young cats since the war with MeadowClan, the cats of RoseClan had treated Daisykit like he was a leader. A kit shouldn’t have that much time by themself anyways, she thought. The two other warriors, were great hunters, basically the opposite of Skyfur. She might not have the best hunting skills, but she had good enough fighting skills to be useful. “Who’s first?” She asked teasingly, before shrugging when they asked to go first. “Sure.” She watched Wisteriabriar and Bumblerunner spar first, seeing where she could learn from. If she went for their weaknesses, they could work on them together. And of course, she would have a bit of enjoyment of winning a spar against another clanmate.
Wisteriabriar went for a rest, and Skyfur mewed in agreement. “It’s fine. I can spar with Bumblerunner next,” She purred. She locked eyes with the golden molly, before pouncing. She used her weight to easily push over Bumblerunner, the two warriors rolling around in the sand. The feeling of sand in her fur gave her a kind warmth, a feeling of relief that she was RoseClan. The other clans would never know the amazing feeling of sand in her pelt, and the soft water of the seaside at their paw-pads. Before long, Skyfur managed to pin down Bumblerunner, before letting go. She stretched her legs, then purred. “That was a good spar. Although,” She paused, demonstrating her comment. “You could use the momentum in the sand to get the upper paw. Say, a MeadowClan cat, one who didn’t know the sand, you could use it against them. They can’t fight as well as we can on our land, so thats something you can use.” After finishing the sparring session, she couldn’t stop thinking about what she had said to Bumblerunner. There was more than two clans of course, there was WoodlandClan and CliffClan. WoodlandClan were allies of RoseClan again, even though the other two clans were unaware. If needed, RoseClan could use that advantage in battle. Even though with the current tensions between CliffClan and MeadowClan, maybe they didn’t even need to get involved at all.

❄️ ICYMIST ❄️- Is complaining about thorns in their nest

"... Claw the ears off of whoever replaced the bedding.." Icymist grumbled under her breath, the typically playful feline shaking out her coat as she emerged from the Elder's Den. "... twenty laps around the whole camp, both ways... in the snow!" Not that it was snowing right now, of course. She'd have to save that particular punishment for another day, after the ear-shredding. Turning as far as she could, the older moly felt her bones and joints crinkle and crack with the effort, grunting as she tangled with another, well, tangle, caused by the thorns that had been MISTAKENLY (surely) left in her nest.
If it had been on purpose... well, that was a little funny. She wouldn't turn her nose up to a good prank. But if it was an accident? "... make mouse-meat out of their ears!" Eager to get her mood set right - nobody likes a sour-puss! - the she-cat strode her way across the camp to her favorite spot, the Rosebed Plains, shaking her pelt and kicking out her limbs the whole way there. Catching sight of Skyfur, Wisteriabriar and Bumblerunner, she let out a curious mrrow as she trod casually after them as they began their sparring practice.
Settling down in a nice shady spot, she continued working on grooming her fur, watching the group tussle as she fought her own instincts to join in with critique and commentary. At the very least, Skyfur seemed to have a good head on her shoulders when it came to a scuffle, and was eager to help her clan-mates improve. Always good to see.. warmed the cockles of her heart and everything.

Bumblerunner
☼ Feels a sense of dread...
☼ Training Patrol - Fighting Practice
Bumblerunner couldn't shake the feeling something was going to go horribly wrong for Roseclan soon. Maybe it was just the events of the moon, but something just didn't sit right with her. Her blue eyes darted around camp obsessively, as if an entire army of creatures were to enter right this moment and kill them all. It didn't help that only a few days ago, Acornstar had lost a life. The old leader hadn't lost a life in moons, and here he was, losing one to old age. Fishrunner had retired soon after, and the suspense of who was to be deputy hung in the air. Bumblerunner had her bets on Skyfur, the older warrior more than fit for the position, but who knows? Maybe Acornstar wants a younger cat for the role, like Wisteriabriar.
Speaking of the younger molly, Bumblerunner turned to face her. She was sitting alone, Daisykit had probably gone to take a nap, and Bumblerunner wasn't doing anything either. Without a deputy, the cat who assigned patrols was to be Acornstar, but he was in his nest at the moment, resting. Making up her mind (and thinking of last moons spar), Bumblerunner padded over to the black queen. "Want to go out with me for some fighting practice? I think last moon made me realize that I need to work on my stances a little." She gave a self-depreciating chuckle, smiling when Wisteriabriar agreed.
They walked out of camp and to the training hollow, turning around to face each other. Bumblerunner was slightly bigger than the lean she-cat, but that meant that Wisteriabriar could dodge out of the way faster than she could. But my fur is thicker. That should give me somewhat better protection against her attacks....
With these thoughts in mind, Bumblerunner made a sudden attack, quickly sprinting across the sandy hollow and slamming into Wisteriabriar, trying to get a grip as they collided.

❄️ ICYMIST ❄️- Is feeling sassy today

Lot of excitement going on lately, hm? It was enough to rattle these old bones, if only a little bit! Poor Acornstar.. and she thought she was getting on in moons. It was easy to forget that their leader outpaced her, his vigor extended by StarClan's blessing but no less an older cat, burdened by time and yada yada. Not to mention his deputy's own age! Shuffled off to the Elder's Den now with the rest of them, hm?
What started as a playful jab at the former deputy about her advanced age would quickly spiral out of paw, Icymist's childish jeering mixing poorly with Fishrunner's responsible and sharp-witted natural. Their arugement would become audible to the other cats in the clan for certain, with Icymist yowling about how that was her nest anyway andhow the other cat needed to lighten up, which of course didn't go over well.
It ended up with the now-grumpy Icymist trotted out of the Elder's Den in a huff, pacing off to a nice warm, sandy spot to try and dust off her bad mood with a perhaps-too-aggressive sand bath.

Maybe I'll get a sign from starcna soon... Mintswirl went about his daily routine of sorting herbs checking on elder. He had already talked with Icymist... It hadn't gone well they had a huge argument on Starclan knows what! His tail wrapped tight around him, Icymist had been a warrior sense he'd been a kit. ANd know she was an elder, he was a medicine cat, and was in charge of taking care of the clans health! He didn't have TIME to argue with a delusional elder! He snorted sending the herbs into the air "Mouse dung!" He stood and gathered them back up. He lifted his paw seeing he had stepped on a particularly mushy peice of Catmint, He had plenty of the herb but it had taken the last straw and he fluffed his fur up and flopped into his nest *day ruined*

Skyfur - Wishes she could visit Lilacfoot in Starclan - Hunting with Wisteriabriar

Skyfur hadn’t had a great time this last moon. First of all, the deputy had been announced. Skyfur had looked at Acornstar with her signature intensity, yet it hadn’t been enough. Wisteriabriar had been promoted to deputy. She was young. She was inexperienced. And Acornstar was wrong. She hissed to herself, taking her anger out with Daisykit first. She yelled at the kit, he was Wisteriabriar’s son after all. She couldn’t remember why, probably some insane reason, but it happened. Then she had sparred with Bumblerunner, taking her anger out through fighting. Maybe it wasn’t pretty, but she had taught Bumblerunner some new tricks, so it had been somewhat useful.
Now, almost like salt in the wound, she had been invited on a patrol with the new deputy. She cared about her clan, so she had agreed. After all, elders needed to be fed. However, something made her wince. Thinking about elders made her think about Lilacfoot, a cat she had been close too, who had died not so many moons ago. He had understood her, and she had been with him in his last moments. If only she could visit them again. The two mollies headed out into RoseClan territory, towards a small river. She could tell Wisteriabriar was trying to cheer her up, so she supposed she could keep up the act.
“Fishing? Usually I do it in the shores, but I suppose we could try here.” Skyfur mewed, before attempting to catch a fish. She stared into the river, watching her shadows carefully. She could feel Wisteriabriar’s gaze on her, pressuring her. What was so good about her that made her a great deputy? Skyfur had all her traits, and more! She had been a warrior for moons more than her. While trailing in her thoughts, she lost focus and failed at catching the fish. Hearing the deputy’s nice comment, Skyfur almost bristled. “Whatever.”
