ooc;; bit short on willowmouse's prompts, i've been trying to get a feel for her character through the moons still! WILLOWMOUSE - Hunting with Fawnstar! Willowmouse knew she held a hard won soft-spot for Fawnstar (and so did every other cat in Plumclan). Gloomy as she was, the older molly felt a tinge of pride every time she saw her former apprentice leading them. Fawnstar wasn't her kit, but she was the closest thing Willowmouse ever had to one- and she hoped that pride meant something, if even a little. It was easy to slip into these bittersweet monologues on trips with the other molly. Fawnstar understood Willowmouse's love for quiet, to get the job done, and she appreciated the lack of small talk. She worked best on her own, but she supposed decent company wasn't a bad thing to have once and while.

Duskfeather- Border Patrol with Rindlestripe, Fogpaw and Leopardpaw As the patrol followed the scent, they saw a light brown molly standing there calmly. For a second, Duskfeather could have sworn he saw Rindlestripe flinch when seeing the cat. He gave them a quick glance, unsure of what happened. Did they know this cat? Or someone who looked like this cat? As Rindlestripe quickly seemed to relax, Duskfeather believed it to be the latter. But if the masked warrior was indeed worried about seeing someone with the rest of the patrol, who could it have been? What was their relationship with Rindlestripe? Duskfeather’s mind was clouded by questions. But he quickly snapped back to reality. Rindlestripe was a loyal warrior, there was no need to question his motives. Duskfeather turned his attention to the cat they encountered on their patrol. She was old, and didn’t seem to be a threat. Duskfeather relaxed, knowing that this probably wouldn’t end in a fight. Rindlestripe took initiative and questioned the cat on why they were on PlumClan territory. The molly told the patrol her name was Quickshade, and that she was a healer who helped wandering cats. However, as she grew older, she couldn’t hunt for herself anymore. Having heard about PlumClan, she decided to join, in hopes of offering her wisdom for food and shelter. Duskfeather knew that having an extra set of paws for leaf-bare would be invaluable. While there was no doubt that Amberdapple was an amazing healer, she could always use a bit of help. Duskfeather nodded towards Quickshade and said: “We would be more than happy to welcome you to our clan. Our leader, Fawnstar, is always happy to have new clan mates. Please, let us escort you back to camp, where you will be able to talk to her personally.” Tagging lazzylake duskflight Brownie

Amberdapple Patrol (lazzylake , Brownie )
“There’s normally more than enough herbs around here, I don’t know what happened!” Amberdapple said uneasily. The pond had always been a reliable source of herbs, but today there was none. It must be because of the rain she thought. Hopefully Quickshade, the new healer, had better luck. She had joined PlumClan just last moon when she had come, asking for shelter in return for healing. The cats in the patrol had let her join, and Amberdapple was grateful. With her sister expecting kits, Duskfeather’s whitecough and Goldpaw’s torn pelt, they needed the other cat. None of them were major, but Duskfeather’s sickness could turn into greencough, could spread... Amberdapple would blame herself if that happened. The more healers, the better. Speaking of... maybe she should get an apprentice. There were four healthy and strong kits in the nursery, and they all held promise.
Amberdapple wondered who the father of her sister’s kits was. She was curious, but knew better than to ask. Hopefully they were Clanborn – Amberdapple wouldn’t think any less of them if they weren’t, but the rest of the Clan might. Although, Rindlestripe had brought back a litter of kits a couple of moons ago, and they were all fine. But all there was to do was wait. As the patrol turned back empty-pawed, Amberdapple knew that no matter who their father was, she’d love them just as much as if they were her own.

Fogpaw -x-----------x-
Fogpaw was glad to get out of camp, even if their destination was nearby. The thing was, Fogpaw liked the Green Pond: he liked startling from the frogs leaping into the water, he liked the smell of the diverse plants that grew around its edges, and he loved chasing after the dragonflies that zipped through the air, though he'd never caught one and didn't think he'd break that streak now, even if he attempted it.
Too bad Fogpaw was too tired to do much other than slog behind his mentor and Amberdapple. Herb gathering patrols were boring, but he didn't think he had the energy to do much else and so was very grateful when he learned of his assignment.
Fogpaw had not spent his time wisely that morning. Instead of resting up for later patrols, he'd decided to... make his own adventure. He'd spent the morning crawling through the weeds around the Stone Wall and climbing trees in the orchards to spy on the humans. They were harvesting crops with all sorts of large, shiny machines (things that growled like dogs and belched foul-smelling smoke that made Fogpaw's tongue feel fuzzy) and Fogpaw was curious. He never got close, but that didn't mean he didn't want to watch from a distance.
It did, however, make the grey speckled apprentice very, very tired after his long day of sneaking about. So much so that he hardly heard Amberdapple's frustration that she apparently couldn't find what she was looking for. The tired apprentice couldn't muster the energy to be upset that their time was wasted either. Really, he was only relieved that he wouldn't have to help gather and carry anything. Maybe when they returned to camp, Rindlestripe would let him nap before they had to hunt at dusk.

Duskfeather- Caught Dustpaw complaining about her patrol schedule Great. Duskfeather had caught whitecough. The worst part about it wasn’t even the the constant chills he was getting, or his completely stuffed nose or even the constant coughing and sneezing. No, the worst part is that he had to stay in camp. Duskfeather hated not being helpful . He would have rather trekked through the rain while sick then stay behind in the medicine den like a sick kit. He was the deputy for crying out loud! Still, the healers insisted he stay back and get some rest. Not that he could get much rest with the nagging feeling that he should be being useful. Both Amberdapple and Quickshade were actually out at the moment, collecting herbs. Duskfeather hoped they found what they needed, and that they could cure him soon. From inside the medicine den, Duskfeather could still see the camp clearing. He noticed Dustpaw, the recently named apprentice complaining that she’s going on too many patrols. While he understood where the apprentice was coming from, he still felt like he should teach her a lesson. The clan was in the middle of leaf fall, and getting as much prey as possible was essential. Every cat has a role to play, from the leader and deputy to the youngest apprentices. Sharing his wisdom was the least he could do now. “Dustpaw!” Duskfeather called. He motioned with his tail to the apprentice to go to him. Tagging MistyPath

Cloverfur - Training Patrol with Fawnstar and Goldpaw
Another moon, another training patrol. Cloverfur didn't want to sound rude, but most apprentices had at least gone on a hunting or border patrol. But Goldpaw seemed to be different from most cats. He got distracted easily and therefore he was learning at a slower pace, but that was alright. Everycat was different and everycat learned differently. Cloverfur just needed to find the right technique to use when training his apprentice, and everything would work out perfectly - he hoped.
Once the trio had reached the training hollow, Cloverfur turned and faced Goldpaw. He hoped that Fawnstar being here would help the apprentice, but her presence was making him a little uneasy. What if he was the problem? What if his training methods weren't engaging enough?
"We're going to work on some basic battle moves today," Cloverfur said, turning to face Fawnstar. "Fawnstar do you want to demonstrate with me for Goldpaw?"

WILLOWMOUSE - Surprises Fawnstar with a gift! Willowmouse paused in the entrance of camp, whiskers twitching and mouth full of some of the downiest feathers Plumclan territory had to offer. She had gathered them up on a whim, an errant thought that it could be nice to pad a nest with them. Not specifically for Fawnstar, because of Fawnstar! That would be ridiculous. She huffed through her nose and began sluggishly making her way toward the leader's den. It's the least Willowmouse could do to help her former apprentice. She'd never given birth- obviously, but there had been more than a few... incidents she'd witnessed over her years. It was messy, and dangerous, and if feathers made the possibility of death even a little less likely; well she'd prefer not to have to break in a new leader.

Goldpaw- Training patrol with Fawnstar and Cloverfur Goldpaw was feeling somewhat nervous today. Today’s training patrol will be different with Fawnstar overseeing this training. Goldpaw didn’t want to fail his training nor did he want to become distracted like he had been the last two times he had trained. The strange dreams still haunted him despite Goldpaw’s hopes that they will eventually stop on their own. What if they will distract him today like they had last time? Goldpaw knew he couldn't afford another distraction, not today at least. He tried to force all thoughts of his dreams out of his mind. He needed to stay focused today. He’ll have to worry about his dreams some other time. He listened to his mentor explain to him what his training will be about today. Goldpaw hoped that he’ll be able to learn these basic battle moves today. He nodded, fully ready to learn and hopefully succeed at his training. Feathertalon @dewbranch

Rindlestripe
Herb Gathering with Amberdapple and Fogpaw
If there was one skill Rindlestripe lacked knowledge with, it would be herb identification. Telling a clover apart from coltsfoot was a mystery that only experienced healers could solve. Yet, Amberdapple seemed to have her paws full with a contagious deputy and an expecting leader. It was simply a courteous move to patrol with the medicine cat and search through the pond.
Still, Rindlestripe was less than enthusiastic about their mission, and it appeared Fogpaw experienced the same drowsiness. The masked tabby eyed their apprentice escaping through the stone wall that morning. But scolding their apprentice for wasting the day felt counterintuitive. In fact, Rindlestripe was busying themselves (as usual) with the kittens, teaching them how to improve their hunting crouches and later helping them climb a mossy slope. The warrior was given quite a start when their name was announced for an extra patrol.
To match the gloomy atmosphere, dotted clouds rumbled in the gray sky, and a drizzle cascaded the forest. Rindlestripe's thick pelt plastered down. Droplets caught on their whiskers. The pond’s surface glittered like warriors of Silverpelt. Rindlestripe padded towards a swath of cattails, wading around the shore. The grimy water chilled them to the bone. Their feathery tail swished back and forth, making the origin of the cattails’ name abundantly clear.
“Amberdapple,” they meowed tiredly, “do you know of any herbs that could be hiding through these reeds?” tags:Brownie stormshade1 ooc: (I meant to get this out much earlier. Sorry guys! I had an event with my family to go to. Hope this suffices <3 did some subtle changes to fonts in the coding)

Fawnstar »
oversees goldpaw's training with cloverfur - Dew & goldpaw - duskflight
For the past two moons Fawnstar has taken an interest in the training of a particular apprentice. His mentor had come to her on more than one occasion now, telling her how the young tom appeared out of during sessions, as if he were drifting about in his thoughts like a dandelion seed in the wind. The leader herself had sat down with Goldpaw and tried speaking with him just the moon prior, and while they had had a civil conversation, it had revealed little to nothing about what was going on in his mind. It was eating her up on the inside, and Fawnstar knew she wouldn’t be able to rest until she had figured out why Goldpaw seemed so uninterested in his training. Did he not want to be a warrior? He had other options if that was the case - Amberdapple would surely have no qualms in taking on an apprentice even now that she had Quickshade’s help. PlumClan had the role of mediator open as well, the only problem there was that they had no current mediator to train the young tom.
She was going to get to the bottom of this no matter what. The future of her Clan lay in Goldpaw’s success. Apprentices grew into warriors, healers, or peacemakers, and without the Clan’s youth then how could a legacy continue?
Just the night before, Fawnstar had approached Duskfeather, her loyal deputy. Ever since she had ascended to leadership the dark tabby had been her second-in-command, her right paw warrior, and one of her closest friends. Even as warriors they had worked well together, and over time as they grew into their position as leader and deputy, they had learned how to work all the better together. What Fawnstar would do without Duskfeather, she had no idea.
Their conversation had been short; not only had it been late that evening when she had spoken with her deputy, but she had noticed a hazy look in the tom’s eyes and a rattling whisper in the way he spoke. A chill gripped the breeze just as it had in the past moon. Leaf-bare was near, and the leader feared she would be watching her Clanmates fall ill.
Once she had informed her deputy she planned on joining Cloverfur and Goldpaw during their training session, she had allowed Duskfeather to retire to his nest and get some rest. He worked tirelessly, and she hoped he would take care of himself. The last thing PlumClan needed was their deputy catching a sickness.
Dove gray clouds flecked the sky as Fawnstar, Cloverfur, and Goldpaw headed out for training. Determined to find the cause of the apprentice’s distance in training, Fawnstar had tagged along. While she was the leader and held rank over the two toms with her, she hung back slightly, allowing Cloverfur to lead on with Goldpaw; Cloverfur was still the mentor in this situation and the last thing Fawnstar wanted to do was step on his paws and take too much control. Cloverfur was still in charge here, she was merely tagging along to assess a problem that needed a solution.
Once the small patrol of three had made it to the training spot, Fawnstar glanced toward Cloverfur, silently waiting to see what he planned for this session; her former apprentice was young and still had a lot to learn, but she believed in him and knew he had the potential to train Goldpaw into a legendary warrior. Sometimes future legendary warriors just needed a little extra help. When asked if she would help demonstrate, the leader nodded, purring loudly as she stretched out, loosening her muscles and giving herself a shake. ”Of course, that’s what I’m here for after all,” she chimed.
Fawnstar »
announces she's expecting kits with whole clan - --
Chilling winds and rainy days caused prey to run into their dens, where warm moss and soft tussocks of grass awaited them. Dawn birdsong was faltering, a melody that became less and less with each morning. Dew continued to bless each blade of grass with the rise of the sun, but soon that dew would turn into frost, and frost would then soon turn into snow. Leaf-bare was around the corner. Times were about to become challenging. PlumClan pulled through, they always did, but surviving was no easy task.
A shiver ran down her flanks, a sensation that wasn’t from the promised leaf-bare on the way.
The leader’s jaw clenched, shoulders squaring. For as wise as she was, sometimes she allowed her heart to speak louder than her mind. Oftentimes the end results were positive, yet sometimes they weren’t. Bringing new life into the Clan was always a joyous moment, a welcomed celebration, but when the harshest season a Clan could face was prowling right behind them and about to strike…
Fawnstar shuffled on her paws. Even now as she felt the first stirrings of life within her, her love for her unborn kits knew no bounds, but waiting for the warmth of newleaf would have been a wiser choice. A smarter option. The molly sighed. At least she had a Clan who would care for her kits with all they had.
Deciding it was best to let her Clan know now, the dappled leader pushed herself to her paws and centered herself upon the area all the leaders of PlumClan’s past had stood. Raising her tail for attention and her head to be heard, Fawnstar called to her Clan, ”Cats of PlumClan old enough to climb the tallest trees, gather to hear my announcement!”
Fawnstar recalled a time in which she had been nervous calling forth her Clan. The beginning of her leadership had been a transition she had not quite expected; leadership had been all but promised to her the moment she had been named deputy, the leader before her having been growing frail and older with each passing season. As if an apprentice again, Fawnstar had trained diligently under Orchardstar’s ever watchful gaze, the blue-gray molly an observant creature. The former leader had taught her all she knew, and Fawnstar had thought she would be fully prepared when her time to rise as the new -star came. Yet that first moon of leadership, that first season of taking her place as the Clan’s -star, had been challenging. If not for Amberdapple and Duskfeather’s support, Fawnstar wasn’t sure she could have accomplished anything at all. Yet now, a seasoned leader, the tortoiseshell had no problem calling her Clan together. A tinge of nervousness did flutter throughout her like the wings of a butterfly. How would her Clan react? Would the announcement of new kits soon to come shock her Clanmates? Were they perhaps expecting her to name Dustkit an apprentice?
Shaking these questions away, Fawnstar continued, ”I have recently discovered that I am expecting kits. For now I will continue with all my leader duties, but I do plan on moving into the nursery by next moon. I will still be here to lead PlumClan; however, Duskfeather and Amberdapple, I know I can count on the two of you to step in where needed.” Between her deputy and her sister, Fawnstar trusted her Clan was in good paws even after she moved into the nursery. Quickshade was proving to be a trustworthy healer as well, but the Clan’s newest medicine cat was still, well, new to PlumClan. Fawnstar wasn’t quite comfortable yet with giving the molly extra responsibilities.

Goldpaw- Training with Fawnstar and Cloverfur Goldpaw watched as the two cats get ready to demonstrate some fighting moves. Goldpaw wondered what fighting moves he will be learning today. He felt determined to learn as much as he can from the two older cats. He hoped he will be able to do these fighting moves far better than he did the hunting crouch. After all, he had been training for two moons and Goldpaw wanted to be able to make some progress in his training. At least, as far as Goldpaw could tell, there would be no chances of any distractions here today. Feathertalon @dewbranch —— Goldpaw-torn pelt, feeling proud of himself for doing so well in training Goldpaw was at camp, his pelt stinging. He had made the mistake of pushing through some dense shrubs after training, tearing his pelt. Some patches of fur from his pelt are now missing thanks to his mistake. Goldpaw wishes that he would’ve paid better attention to his surroundings and not have to deal a torn pelt. At least training today had gone far better than he expected. For once, he didn’t get distracted and as a result did well in training. The young tom felt proud of himself for doing so well in training and having learnt so much today. Goldpaw looked forward to having more successful training sessions in the future.

This is Bliss! She didn't join the Clan. Clementinescreech actually joined on a moon event, while Bliss was encountered on patrol, but they have the exact same backstory and are around the same age, I decided it made more sense for them to be travelling together. Why only one of them joined and the other didn't is up to yall~ ]]

Fawnstar »
clan ceremony, thinks leopardcry is helpful, and counting her lives - @ entire clan
”All cats of PlumClan gather to hear my words!” Fawnstar’s voice called out through the grotto of trees they called camp. Dusky shadows filtered through the canopy of trees, most barren now due to the changing of seasons. Her warriors were tucked away in the shelter of their camp, eating their evening meals before they would retire to their dens to rest up for the day ahead of them. But the day was not quite over yet for Fawnstar had quite a few ceremonies she wished to perform. Not only was a kit due for her apprenticeship, but an apprentice had proven himself capable of graduating to the rank of warrior. Alongside those two very important ceremonies, Fawnstar wanted to officially welcome Clementine into the Clan. The dusky molly had only recently joined the Clan, brought back after waiting on the border recovering from being chased by rogues. She had had another cat with her, according to the patrol that had found her, but Clementine’s companion had decided to return to her loner ways. Fawnstar couldn’t blame the other cat - a change in lifestyle was easier said than done.
The tortoiseshell had another announcement she wanted to make as well. It was unrelated to the other news she wanted to share, and while she had already announced to the Clan she was carrying kits and planned on moving to the nursery, it had became clearer to her that she could no longer carry out her leader duties as well as she had been able to last moon. Her flanks had become visibly swollen with the new life she carried, and with each pawstep she felt wobbly and off-centered, her movements no longer smooth and fluid. The added weight her growing kits was putting on her was making it harder to breathe as well, and there had been a few instances when even just the thought of prey had her stomach twisting with disgust. The leader had no idea how many kits she carried, but regardless of how many or how little, they made sure to remind her that she was, indeed, pregnant.
As her Clan gathered to hear her words, Fawnstar counted, taking a mental note that all of PlumClan had arrived, especially those who were important for this meeting. She dipped her head, smiling warmly in front of all the cats she called her friends and family. ”Thank you all for gathering this evening. I have called you all together to celebrate the graduation of two of our Clanmates.” With a gesture of her tail she beckoned for Dustkit to step forward. Once the kit had stepped forward, Fawnstar announced, ”Dustkit, you have reached your sixth moon. As is customary, you will now be known as Dustpaw. Leopardcry.” Pale blue eyes searched for her former apprentice, pride welling up inside her as she focused on the young warrior. She had made Leopardcry a warrior just a few moons prior, but after some deep deliberation and careful consideration, Fawnstar had made the choice to give Leopardcry an apprentice. She was hardworking, loyal, and beyond helpful. These were all traits that Fawnstar wished to see being passed down. ”You will be Dustpaw’s mentor. Teach her all the good morals and honesty that you have shown since you yourself was an apprentice.”
Giving the ceremony a brief pause to allow the new mentor and apprentice pair to touch noses and step back to sit together, Fawnstar fell silent for a few moments before resuming. Once again she gestured with her tail, yet this time she beckoned Fogpaw forward. While still young and quite frankly still somewhat immature in Fawnstar’s eyes, she had no doubt that the gray tom was ready to become a warrior. Rindlestripe had confided in her that Fogpaw was ready, and she trusted in her warrior to know when their apprentice was ready to graduate or not. ”I, Fawnstar, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as a warrior in their turn. Fogpaw, do you vow to uphold the warrior code and defend your Clan with your life?” At his confirmation with a the unforgettable ‘I do’, Fawnstar continued, ”Then by the powers of StarClan, I grant you your warrior name. You will now be known as Fogshard, and PlumClan honors your enthusiasm and lightheartedness even in tense times.” She placed a lick between the tom’s ears, a customary gesture of welcoming the former apprentice into the Clan as a full warrior.
Once Fogshard took his place back among his Clanmates, Fawnstar beckoned the last cat she wanted to announce to the Clan. ”Clementine, you are new to the Clan but have shown interest in our ways and customs. I name you a warrior of PlumClan, though I expect you to learn what it takes to be a true warrior in these coming seasons. I welcome you to PlumClan as Clementinescreech. May your open-mind and eagerness to learn guide your paws.”
Once the Clan had raised their voices in celebration to welcome Dustpaw, Fogshard, and Clementinescreech, Fawnstar made her last announcement. As if her kits knew exactly what she was doing her flanks began quivering with their tiny yet powerful kicks. Love grew warm in her chest. They would be mighty warriors one day. ”As I announced last moon, I will officially be moving into the nursery. I remain as your leader and encourage you all to come to me if needed, but I will not be joining patrols until further notice.” Once she had allowed her words to sink in the leader swished her tail in a farewell. ”Thank you all for listening and welcoming our new Clanmates.” Shaking away the focus of her Clan on her, Fawnstar stepped back and took a seat a little further away. Dusk had fully fallen by now, the light of the sun barely entering the dense camp walls.
Covering her paws nearly with her tail, the PlumClan leader contemplated all the ceremonies and announcements she had just made. Naming new apprentices and warriors was one of her favorite parts of being leader. Giving her Clan something to celebrate and feel good about always put a smile on her face. Even with the elation of a ceremony pulsing through her, Fawnstar had to wonder just how many more warrior and apprentice ceremonies she would hold during her leadership.
Her jaw tightened in thought, tail-tip twitching. All leaders began their reign with nine lives granted to them by their warrior ancestors.
A life taken when an inexperienced cattle dog puppy had chased after her and taken her down; it had merely been a young puppy, still learning the ways of co-existing with cats. Fawnstar had not faulted the canine for such an act.
Another life gone when greencough had spread throughout the PlumClan cats like wildfire last leaf-bare. Even now the leader swore she could still feel the rattling of disease in her chest.
Two lives down, seven more to go. Fawnstar knew that was way more lives than any of her Clanmates had, but she knew she needed to be cautious. Her lives were a gift from StarClan, meant to be used in protection of her Clan. She longed to remain leader for as long as she could, wanting to continue to spread the joy and celebration of ceremonies.
Seven more lives.
Fawnstar shifted on her paws. She just hoped that those seven lives lasted her a long, long while yet.

Fawnstar didn’t recall nest building being this exhausting. She huffed and puffed with each step as she carried her last mouthful of moss into the nursery, legs screaming for her to plop down into her new nest while she tucked the moss tightly among its own kind. With gentle paws she twined the moss together with the feathers Willowmouse had gifted her just the moon before, the plumage still clean and tidy, just as soft as they had been when the older warrior had gifted her with them. Moss was comfortable on its own, but with her stomach growing larger and larger by the day, her kits tumbling about inside of her as if they were already practicing battle moves, Fawnstar was finding it harder and harder to lay down and get comfortable. The extra moss and feathers wouldn’t do much to soothe her aches and pains, but she would find it easier to relax - relax as much as she could in her current condition - than had she just built a nest with simple moss.
Movement from her peripheral caught her attention. Looking up her visage melted into a warm welcoming smile, a purr vibrating her throat. ”Thanks again for the help, Cloverfur,” she puffed the words out, thankful for her former apprentice’s help. It was no surprise to the leader that her Clanmates had been so willing to help her ever since she had announced her pregnancy, but she was beyond mind blown at just how much her Clanmates were willing to sacrifice their own time just to make sure she was comfortable and well taken care of. She herself almost felt like a kit again, warm and snug in the nursery with her mother and sister.
”You can just set the moss down over here,” Fawnstar told Cloverfur as she gestured with her tail toward the almost completed nest she was building. She wanted to do nothing more than curl up inside its warmth and laze about for the rest of the day, but her nest still wasn’t quite finished just yet, and Fawnstar knew she wouldn’t be as comfortable as she could be in a completed nest.
Strained air puffed from her cheeks, the mostly golden molly needing to sit back on her paws for a moment to recollect herself. ”Was nest building always this hard?” She asked in an almost breathless laugh, flashing a look that was both exhausted and amused toward Cloverfur. Fawnstar had always admired queens and how much love and care they put into rearing kits and nurturing them for six moons or longer, but it wasn’t until now that she herself was an expecting mother that she realized just how much effort a queen put into raising the next generation of warriors. Her respect for queens had drastically increased in the last moon, and she expected that to only grow as she continued on her motherhood journey.

Amberdapple
Patrol, appreciates Quickshade’s help (@)
“They should be able to remember things fairly well, by scent, touch and look, have good observational skills and steady paws, and, well... ideally, a strong connection to StarClan.” Amberdapple responded to Quickshade’s question, though she twitched her ear nervously at the last one. She knew Quickshade didn’t believe in StarClan, and she could understand why. The Clan must sound crazy to be guided by dead cats.
“The kits?” Amberdapple was surprised by this question, as it was the exact same thing she was wondering not too long ago. “I... I’m not sure. Maybe... Daisykit? We’ll have to see. And, if none of them, maybe Fawnstar’s kits.” Fawnstar was in the nursery right now, and she would likely give birth next moon. Surely one of these two litters would be ready. And if not, two medicine cats were enough. As long as Duskfeather’s whitecough didn’t spread, they’d be fine. They’d be fine.

Shinekit was in the middle of the clearing, sharing a peaceful moment with her friend Hawkkit. She was tired of being stuffed in the nursery with her siblings and Mother. She wanted to explore!! But not right now, no. As soon as she saw Hawkkit's funny appearance, she decided that her mission would be to help her friend regain some sense of fashion. "Stay put, I'm doing it right!" She repeated while climbing him to reach his head and put that fur in its right place. "Ouch!" She let out as a warrior whose name she wasn't sure of stepped on her tail. "Hey, watch your steps!" Pff, blind old fleabags. She shrugged her shoulders as the older cat walked on, ignoring her. She made sure to stick her tongue out at them. Hawkheart

He hoped he wasent like that when he was a warrior.

Rindlestripe
Hunting patrol with Cloverfur and Goldpaw Rindlestripe felt uneasy hunting so close to camp, and to an extent, human territory. The twolegs had made quite the ruckus earlier in the season, arriving in their harvesting monsters to reap the ripe fruit. Their tabby and white fur rippled with dread when they heard the monsters yowling at dawn, even if they weren't close. Sometimes Rindlestripe would visit the nursery only to console the kittens complaining of noise, wrapping their tail around their sensitive ears.
Late in leaf-fall, the grating sounds had become less prominent, replaced with the typical sounds of prey gathering food for leaf-bare. A patrol was sent to affirm that there was a slender chance for a successful hunt. Padding along the fields, Rindlestripe noticed the orchards had made a complete transformation. The brittle branches were stripped of their blossoming spring flowers, instead donning sunrise colored leaves. Vegetables were uprooted from the soil. And there laid a subtle, pungent scent, a confusing combination of sweat and monster smog.
The warrior split up with Cloverfur and their apprentice Goldpaw, diverting to the thick trunks of plum trees. Fall leaves littered the forest floor, obscuring the burrows of ground dwellers that migrated back from the harvest. Rindlestripe peered around the crevices of brambles and thickets. They sniffed a couple of plums found on the ground. Perfect bait for birds…
As if their thoughts manifested prey, there fluttered a couple of magpies, pecking at the decaying pits. Rindlestripe crouched, mouth watering. This would make a delicious catch for them and the kits. The masked warrior crept forward, consciously making each step as light as possible.
Just as they were about to spring, an alarm call sounded from above. Rindlestripe realized their only cover was shrubs, with nothing to shield them from above. Another magpie must've spotted me! And sure enough, the pair launched into the air. Instinctually, Rindlestripe raced out from hiding and did the same. Tail feathers caught in their mouth as Rindlestripe's paws aimed clumsily for wings. With a final shriek, a single magpie fell limp.
Rindlestripe clamped the black and white bird firmly in their jaws and united back with the group. “Did you both have luck finding anything? Can't believe I nearly lost a magpie to a mouthful of feathers.” Their faulty catch was evident by a ruffled pelt and fatigue. The masked tabby would be feeling the strain from that leap in the morning. tags:Dew stonekeeper ooc: (Prompt with the kits will be up tomorrow <3)

Goldpaw- Hunting patrol with Rindlestripe and Cloverfur Goldpaw traveled with the patrol to the orchard, his ears alert for the sounds of nearby prey moving underneath the leaves. He sniffed the air, trying to find any scent of prey. It most certainly didn’t help that it had rained pretty recently, mostly washing away the scent of any prey that might have passed by recently. The fact it was autumn meant that there was also now a lot of leaves on the ground. Goldpaw stepped carefully, trying his best to make the least amount of noise as he walked. The sound of nearby flutter of wings grabbed his attention. A bird was nearby, pecking away at a plum that had fallen to the ground. Goldpaw dropped into a hunter’s crouch, trying to remember everything that Cloverfur had taught him. He moved slowly, trying to keep his steps light. Before he can get close enough to pounce; however, Goldpaw accidentally stepped onto a twig. The twig snapped loudly, startling the bird into flight. Goldpaw leaped forward, not wanting to lose his catch, only for the bird to fly out of his reach. Disappointed, Goldpaw returned to the rest of the patrol without any prey in sight. Goldpaw looked up at Rindlestripe as he came back with a bird and a question. “No, I haven’t been able to catch anything,” Goldpaw replied with a shake of his head. @dewbranch lazzylake—— Goldpaw-Torn pelt had healed It was morning in camp and Goldpaw emerged from the apprentice’s den, feeling much better than he did last moon. His pelt had completely healed over, no longer torn from when he walked through some dense shrubs. His fur had grown back in spots where they had been torn the previous moon. Goldpaw is glad he no longer had to deal with a torn pelt. It had been bothering him past moon, aching from time to time whenever he had to do something.

Dustpaw Training
Dustpaw bounces around the training hollow, eyes darting around for the tallest tree. She finds one thats taller than any she’s ever seen, and begs her mentor to let her climb it. “Please?” she pleaded, ”I want to go higher.” “Your not ready yet, Dustpaw” Leopardcry said with a slight smirk, “Your legs are not fully grown yet.” Dustpaw sat down on the rough, sandy dirt and waited until Leopardcry wasn’t looking and darted up the tree, scrambling up it’s rough trunk. Wildly scrambling at a branch she managed to belly-flop onto a branch, grasping the stem while the tree shakes wildly. I should’ve chose a thicker branch, Dustpaw thought with a worried expression. She dared to peek down, and it felt like the entire world was spinning. ~ Couple seconds later she was in the medicine den with a huge headache as Amberdapple looms over the tiny apprentice, studying her for a solid 30 seconds before speaking to Leopardcry who was sitting next to her. “Gotta be more careful with the young ones. Once I had a kit who almost died this way, but Dustpaw seems to be okay right now. Just don’t take her climbing far at least 3 days.” Apon hearing this Dustpaw was devastated. “No climbing? What am I supposed to do then?” Only after she finished did she realize she said her thoughts out loud. “Now now, we’ll find something to do,” Her mentor soothingly told her. “How about I show you how to catch a bird?” Dustpaw sprang up in excitement, “When do we start? How big are they? Why do I have a headache?” “Those are all questions I can answer, but lets grab a quick snack first, shall we? It’s past lunch, anyways.” With that, Dustpaw followed herto the fresh-kill pile and enjoyed a small squirrel. “This is good!”
