Cloverfur Enjoys Forestfreckle's company (+++) & Training Patrol || with Stargazer, Forestfreckle Cloverfur cared for every cat in Plumclan, including all of the sick cats who currently couldn't do anything for their clan while they recovered. He wasn't one to get sick or injured often, but he remembered his sprained paw a few moons ago and how agitated and helpless he felt. At least Pheasantpaw hadn't missed too much of her training, having graduated a few sunrises ago. This left Cloverfur apprentice free for what felt like the first time in seasons, and maybe it was. Pheasantdrift had been his fourth apprentice, and Cloverfur was hoping for a few moons of apprentice-free business before he jumped back in again.
Entering the medicine den, Cloverfur spotted the cat he was looking for, Forestfreckle. She wasn't the only cat in the medicine den at the moment, and hopefully her bout of greencough would clear up as the weather got warmer. "How are you doing Forestfreckle?" She didn't look the best, her eyes were closed but she didn't seem to be asleep. He almost winced, seeing a clanmate like this broke his heart. She'll get better soon. After a quick chat he was shooed from the den by Amberdapple, feeling satisfied. Forestfreckle was a good cat to have a chat with, and he knew that he would continue to come to her to talk in the future.
Finding Stargazer waiting for him by the camp entrance he bounded up to her, smiling. "Ready to train?" Some cats had touched up with her on her fighting and hunting skills but they hadn't gone too in depth, so they didn't know what she could do and couldn't yet. It was almost like training an apprentice, and Cloverfur had plenty of experience with that.
They headed to the training hollow, facing off on opposite sides. "Let's just see what you can do for this first part?" He said, swishing his tail and waiting for her to make the first move. Stargazer started off with running straight at him, but what he didn't expect was fir her to veer off at the last second, instead landing a blow at his side. Quickly recovering, Cloverfur spun and pawed her face. She tried to block him but her move was clumsy and not well preformed.
"Well, I think I know what we need to work on! That running move was well preformed, but you need something to back it up. We could also touch up on those defense skills." He winked, and they got to work.
It turned out that Stargazer had a few more tricks up her sleeve, but some of her moves wouldn't be very useful in battle. By the end of the session though, Cloverfur felt that he had done a pretty good job. Not only that, but he had learned a few other moves that might also be suprising and useful in battle with another cat. "Great job today! Your fighting skills are coming along nicely!" He mewed. "Thank you!" Stargazer had mewed back, and they turned back towards camp. Mentions: Stargazer, Amberdapple || tigersdoroar (Forestfreckle) [[ OOC here ]]

Hatchhusk It had not been long since Leopardcry had accepted him as her mate, and the newfound warmth had not left Hatchhusk. As the snow crept back and the weather warmed, it felt more beautiful than any newleaf before. Something else had blossomed, and Hatchhusk was eager to watch it grow. Unfortunately, the season was always busy for a medicine cat, and Amberdapple had him working hard. So he had a new idea. I’m a bit surprised she agreed. Don’t warriors normally hate herb gathering? Hatchhusk thought to himself, walking up to her and giving her a slight nod as they headed off into the forest.
Bright green buds lined the trees above them, the branches seeming to break out in greeting to them. Even though he was supposed to be collecting herbs, Hatchhusk’s eyes flicked up, looking at the sky, and then back to Leopardcry. Her cream-coloured fur was sleek as he brushed against it, and as she blinked her golden eyes back at him, he let out a purr, twining his tail with hers. He almost had to tear his attention away from her to start looking for the plantain that he was sent to collect.
As he tried to concentrate, Leopardcry spoke, asking about what they were gathering. “Only plantain… It’s quite common, so it shouldn’t be long.” He meowed shyly, spotting a patch in the undergrowth ahead of them. To his surprise, Leopardcry seemed interested, prompting him to go on. Well! I’ve never really had the opportunity to talk about herbs to warriors before! “There’s some there. It helps heal more minor things, like stings and small scrapes… Oh- And it’s especially useful for cracked pads, it’s always good to have on hand for that. All you have to do is make a poultice with it and-” The medicine cat cut himself off, looking back at Leopardcry, wondering if she was listening to his monologue.

Duststep Training patrol with Pineconepaw and Larchpaw | Can't stop dwelling on a mistake she's made
Humiliating. It was humilating. Duststep had had the feeling even before the ceremony that Pineconepaw wouldn't be named warrior this moon, but her face had still burned red under her pelt when Fawnstar wrapped up the ceremony after announcing just two new warriors, and recalling it as she led Pineconepaw and Larchpaw out of camp for yet another accursed training patrol made her face burn again. Pineconepaw, 14 moons of age and still not a warrior. She knew as her mentor she had to take some responsibility; but how much? How much of it was a failing of her own mentoring abilities and how much was Pineconepaw's own lack of work ethic and natural talent? How much of it would her clanmates ascribe to her skills- or lack thereof- as a mentor? She had felt their eyes on her during the ceremony. Whether it was because of Pineconepaw or her silence among the cheers of "Pheasantwhisker!" and "Pumpkinswipe!" she wasn't sure; she couldn't bring herself to speak. Calling their name instead of Pineconepaw's didn't feel right.
Pineconepaw pushing her way to the front anyway was even worse to recall. Her fur had bristled when her own apprentice shoved her aside- the nerve!- and she assumed it would be to challenge Fawnstar on not naming her a warrior that moon, but she selfishly had to admit her asking out Pumpkinswipe was probably the less embarassing scenario for Duststep. It still hurt to recall her apprentice before Pineconepaw; poor Currentpaw didn't deserve that painful death, razed down by the unforgiving monster on her first day of apprenticeship. But in the back of Duststep's mind, a horrible part of her thought of it a bit as Starclan sparing Currentpaw the fate of being mentored by her of all cats. If Fawnstar never assigned her another apprentice again, she wouldn't blame her. Bristlefur, Pineconepaw's sister, had come up to her after the ceremony and tried to give her advice on how to be a good mentor; she knew Bristlefur had meant well, but she couldn't even put into words how much a new warrior her own apprentice's age trying to tell her how to mentor Pineconepaw drove her up the wall. Her puppy crush on Hatchhusk being crushed to bits by his confession to Leopardcry (her own mentor, of all cats) didn't help either. No grown apprentices, no mate, no kits. I've given my entire life to Plumclan, but I really have no legacy to leave. If my life were to be tragically cut short soon... how long after my death will it take for them to forget me completely?
The setting sun's light, bounding between the still bare branches, hit Duststep directly in the eyes and the grey molly let out a sharp hiss as she was ripped back out to reality from her grim internal monologue. She had been finding it hard to concentrate since the ceremony yesterday; dwelling over her shoddy mentorship of Pineconepaw had kept her up all night, going over every training session she could remember and comparing them to her own apprenticeship to try to figure out what she had done wrong. Glancing behind her, she realized as she arrived at the small clearing she could spot Larchpaw trailing behind her but not Pineconepaw. She couldn't stop herself from snapping a bit as she called Pineconepaw's name, and it took longer than she would have liked for her apprentice to pad slumpily from between the tree trunks quite a ways back. Duststep knew her wiry, ungroomed pelt, slumping posture, and angrily flicking tail didn't make her look approachable, but why care? She just wanted Pineconepaw to pass her assessments already. For this to be over. Duststep had been a bit permissive, she knew, and had slacked off on battle training, but she was going to make up for it now. But she did feel bad that Larchpaw had to be stuck between the two.
"Like I mentioned back in camp," she deadpanned, looking between Pineconepaw and Larchpaw, "you two will spar for a couple rounds. I'll watch and give you pointers. Pineconepaw, this should be easy for you. Larchpaw-" she turned towards the younger apprentice, crouching to his level and smiling a bit to try not to scare him like she guessed her sullen demeanor from earlier had- "don't feel bad if you lose; it's not a reflection of your skill, you just haven't gotten as much training. You're going up against someone more experienced. If you win even one round I'd be very impressed." Stepping back to the edge of the clearing and sitting down, she nodded. "Okay, go."

Larchpaw Patrol {--} with Duststep & Pineconepaw Larchpaw sulkingly followed the two cats, before this patrol he had no idea these cats seemed to hate eachother so much. First, Pineconepaw pushed past Duststep. Their clanmates! Who does this to another clanmate?! He watched again, almost jumping out of his own fur when Duststep hissed at Pineconepaw to come back. He blinked at them, silently wishing to himself he didn’t get involved. Please, oh Please Starclan! Just let me have Forestfreckle back! She never hissed or pushed another cat!
Halfway between his self monologue, Duststep started speaking to him. Something about sparring with Pineconepaw. His tail spiked up. Looking at Pineconepaw, he silently shivered. She’s double my size! But he remembered what Forestfreckle would tell him now, to use my size to my advantage. My speed will be faster than hers, and I can easily dodge her attack by sliding under her. He nodded when Duststep said go, and stood his ground. He would wait to for Pineconepaw to make the first attack. Just like he expected, she jumped in the air, dropping on him. He easily swiped out of the way, using her anger and frustration in her weakness. He swiped her back paws with his sheathed bengal paw, making her fall to the ground. He instantly jumped onto her back, proudly staring at Duststep. It wasn’t that bad! Wait until I tell Forestfreckle! He purred. [[ is it bad that in this moment I see Auburncreek in lil baby Larchpaw? this ain’t good ]]

Blizzardwing Patrol (𝚌𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚌𝚕𝚞𝚎 , 🎄tansypool🪿 )
PlumClan.
PlumClan was her home. But wasn’t it strange that she knew more about it than any other cat? Any other living cat, at least. But still. She shouldn’t know that. She wasn’t supposed to know these things. But surely the rest of the Clan would benefit from knowing, right?
As she headed out on a patrol with Bumblecrest, Tansypaw and Bristlefur (NOT with her new apprentice, unfortunately), she decided she would tell them the tale. Once she had caught their attention, she began.
“In the beginning, there weren’t many cats. Only a few, a group of eight. The leader was a tall black one with a kinked tail and one eye. Most of them looked pretty beat up, actually. They came many, many, many moons ago. In the group, there were four warriors and four kits. Well, they didn’t call themselves warriors, but they were. The kits’ names were Yew, Claw, Rubble and Moon. They stayed in the territory for many moons. Glade died. The kits grew up. They recruited more cats, and settled into their territory. They called themselves the Tribe of Hope.
“Their leader, Storm, died. Before he did, he passed the leadership onto a small, lithe gray molly named Flower. She brought structure to the Tribe. A leader, Fullpaws, trainees, trainers, Smallpaws, and Mudpaws. Fullpaws were like warriors. Trainers were like mentors. Trainees were apprentices. Smallpaws were kits. And Mudpaws were the lowest of low. Cats who had disobeyed orders, gone against the leader and were demoted, doing the dirtiest duties. The Tribe grew bigger.
“But some cats had... different ideas. Strike, Snow and Burdock. They lead a rebellion against Flower. Flower escaped, though battered and bruised, and lead every cat who would follow her.
“Strike, Snow and Burdock formed another group with the rest of the cats. Yew was one of them. The three of them brought a new era. A new time with new rules and structure. But they began to fight. The three of them struggled and fought. One leader. They wanted one leader. One. So they fought. Burdock and Snow teamed up against Strike. Meanwhile, the rest of their group was in chaos. Without the leaders being part of the Clan, they turned to their only hope – Yew. She lead them when the other three couldn’t. And by the time Strike had been brought down, Snow and Burdock had turned against each other. And Burdock won.
“The cats who knew that battle would lead to success followed Burdock. The rest followed Yew. And Flower, though she had started with only a few cats, was thriving. Her group had rule and order, and every cat had a sense of belonging. They knew who they were. They were all happy to be there.
“The three cats – Yew, Burdock, and Flower – continued to grow their groups and their territory. Burdock had the fighters. YewClan had the smartest ones. And Flower had... a mix of everything, really.
“But there was a problem. The cats of the territory couldn’t live peacefully. They weren’t in peace. Because the groups kept constantly fighting, over land, over cats, over dominance.
“A loner had watched them all for a while. She didn’t want to join a group, not yet, but instead she watched. She saw their constant arguing. And she knew she needed to fix it.
“She met each leader alone at night and talked to them. Told them to meet at the place of the three stones at the next full moon.
“They did as she asked, though with some reluctance. But they knew that this must be important.
“She told them how the groups must be – the Clans. They must live together in peace. Meet at the Three Stones every full moon. She told them tales of StarClan, and explained the warrior code.
“The three leaders went back to their territory, her words in mind, as they began to organize their Clan. BurdockClan, YewClan, and FlowerClan. And sometime later, a new Clan rose. PlumClan, led by the loner who had brought the Clans together.” Blizzardwing paused to catch her breath. She was almost done.
“I spoke to Plumstar in StarClan. She said... she said she was from the old Clans. I’m not sure what that means, but...” Blizzardwing’s voice trailed off, and she turned to her patrolmates. They were in awe.

Blazetumble Finds Foggy & Border Patrol || with Foggydusk, Feathersong, Storkleg Blazetumble ducked out of camp, deciding to take a walk to clear his nerves. Some cat had suggested it before, and it hadn't sounded like such a bad idea when it had been said. But was he even allowed to leave camp alone? He was a warrior now, so surely yes...
Sometimes Blazetumble just couldn't stand being in Plumclan's camp. Sometimes it felt suffocating, with all the cats either talking or sharing tongues. The moments when the walls of the old twoleg dens seemed to shrink inward. He didn't want Plumclan to get any smaller, that would mean cats dying or going missing, and that would be tragic. Maybe another camp? Or maybe he just needed to grow up.
Oof! "I'm so sorry! Are you okay? Are you from Plumclan?" He had smacked into the body of another cat, a fade of browns with white underbelly and amber eyes. Backing away slightly he saw that it was a she-cat, older than him but younger than his parents, or Fawnstar.
"Um.. yeah. Yes. I'm Blazetumble, from Plumclan." Was he supposed to give her his name? She didn't seem like she wanted to hurt him, she would have if she had wanted to already right? "Why are you here? Pretty sure you're supposed to stay on the other side of the border."
She laughed, shaking her head slightly. "I was actually wondering if I could join your group!" She mewed again. Blazetumble stood, shocked for a moment. What should I do? Send her away? But she asked to join... "Um... sure, you can ask Fawnstar. She's our leader."
●●●Foggydusk had been accepted into the clan, so maybe it was a good thing that he had brought her back with him. It would have been rude to drive her away anyways, right? And now he was patrolling with her, and Feathersong and Storkleg. Storkleg, ever the outgoing cat was chatting up a storm, probably trying to make Foggydusk feel welcome. How does any cat even do that? I would be worried I would be saying the wrong thing with every letter that came out of my mouth.
A yip made the patrol turn their heads behind them, only to see one of the farm dogs. Blazetumble's fur spiked with fear at having been startled, but the patrol brushed the dog off, saying it wasn't a threat. What it was doing though looked kind of familiar, like something he had seen before.
The yipping was louder now, a few minutes after they had seen the dog before. They turned to see what it was and found that the dog was stalking like they did! That's why it looked so... familiar? I didn't know dogs could do that. Freaky...
It burst up, landing on top of Feathersong, scrambling on its paws and trying to get a good grip. Feathersong threw it off easily and they drove it back towards the barn, where they twolegs kept them. Looking back toward Feathersong, he realized that some of the fur was missing from her shoulder, and blood was starting to bubble up. "Feathersong, are you okay? We should... get out of here I think... right?" [[ OOC here ]]

Bumblecrest; Patrol with Blizzardwing, Tansypaw, and Bristlefur
Bumblecrest had trotted bored through the forest with his patrol, so far being a warrior wasn't much fun; he'd been on patrols, hunting patrols, the best part was laying down in his nest all day. He'd hoped he'd have at least found someone he liked by now...Liked enough to be with. He shook his thoughts off; he needed to pay attention to his surroundings. "Uh..." He began speaking but stopped not sure of what to say. He had hidden from Amberdapple a bit before, he couldn't remember why... He smiled thinking of how he and Lilacshade had hung out earlier. Then the best part of his day came and what he presumed was the best part of everycats in the patrol. Blizzardwing silenced the cats with a tail flick and told a story of how the clans had formed and aged, and how the cats had adapted to their land. He stared in awe Blizzardwing was almost as amazing as Lilacshade! Of course no on was as great as Lilacshade to him... She had trained him, taught him to hunt and fight, now he was as strong as any warrior maybe even STRONGER! When Blizzardwing had finished he looked up at her yellow eyes and wondered what else Blizzardwing had hidden in her long white fur OOC: Stormshade I hope you liked that part about her long fur... Wildclove He/him
Hunting with Dogpaw - me Weedpaw - open Golddusk - stonekeeper
Oh *hell* no.
Twolegs swamped the barn, twittering in their harsh tones. Never had Wildclove seen so many- he growled, curse them and how Loud they were.
“I ‘don't ‘think this is gonna work” He flicks his tail at the Twolegs, Dogpaw stands on her hindlegs to see better, resting her paws on his back “Usually its great but….” He thinks to Fallowpaw and winces- not another apprentice lost to them, and certainly not his. He wants to witness another of his ‘paws graduate. He's sure he was the loudest at Pumpkinpaws ceremony, to the dark-forest with what Auburncreek thinks
“Nah” He ducks under Dogpaws feet, getting a giggle from the lighter molly “Better tuh try a different place huh?” He looks to Golddusk “Anywhere good nearby?”
Dogpaw She/her
Fishing was hard. Dogpaw spits a mouthful of water out. She's trying her hardest but these fish are just so slippery! She's only slightly comforted by the fact that her patrolmates were not having luck either. Twolegs…she couldn't stand them! Stupid smoke and stomping…. The molly glances around- no proper warrior would dare go back to camp empty pawed…..There! She leaps, catching a particularly pretty butterfly in her paws lightly. Not to squish her prey's wings. She purrs- but blushes when Wildclove snorts at her Dogpaw puffs up “For decoration!” For her nest “For somebody” She hooks its body around her claw Wildclove licks the top of her head “very good leap, if ah do say so” She glows under his praise “ ‘n it's better than nothin’” She was right!

FoggyduskIt was a normal day, she basked in the sun, caught a mouse. Then on her walk she remembered a story her mother told her of a clan that was kind and mellow. And that they sometimes even accepted loners and house cats into the clans. She had a great idea, she'd been lonely for so long that she'd almost forgotten what her voice sounded like, she remembered that her mother had said she sounded so sweet and bright as a young kit. Her voice seemed to echo not knowing how to control her voice as well but got the hang of it again quickly. She found a young golden-ginger tom who seemed just as eager yet nervous to find her as she had to find him. "I'm so sorry! Are you okay? Are you from Plumclan?!" She seemed to talk fast as she bumped head-on into the tom. "Um...Yeah.Yes I'm Blazetumble from Plumclan." She stared nervously "Why are you here? pretty sure you're supposed to stay on the other side of the border." She laughed lightly hoping it was supposed to be a joke. "I was actually wondering if I could join your group?!" She said feeling her pelt grow hot and fur stand on edge. "Um...Sure you can ask Fawnstar. She's our leader." She felt her nervousness melt slightly. She sat in the clearing of camp; she had been accepted and had changed her name to Foggydusk to fit in better. She knew she didn't have much trust from the cat now but promised herself she would gain it. OOC: yippee first post with Foggy also I keep spelling foogy for some reason? TAGZ: dew :3

Golddusk- patrol with Weedpaw, Wildclove, Dogpaw Twolegs. It’s not often that Golddusk sees them but he knows that they’re not an unusual sight to Plumclan. They are the ones that look after everything on the farm after all. What is unusual is the sheer number of twolegs at the barn. Golddusk had never seen this many twolegs at the same time before and the sight of them swarming the barns like ants makes him nervous. What is going on in that barn? Golddusk wondered. First, the barn had an unusual number of barn cats a moon ago and now it seems it is the twolegs that had also shown an interest in the barn. He looked at Wildclove when he is asked if there is anywhere good nearby. He thought about it for a moment and then he told Wildclove, “Well, there is a river near here.” While Plumclan isn’t known for their ability to fish, Golddusk doubts the patrol could had found prey anywhere else nearby. The sounds and smells of the monsters would have no doubt scared all of the prey away by now. Perhaps they could try their luck with the only prey that would had still been in the area? Upon arriving to the lake with the rest of the patrol, Golddusk took a look in the river. Sure enough, Golddusk could spot some fish swimming beneath the surface. With the weather getting warmer, fishing wouldn’t have been too much of a risk than it would had been a few moons ago due to the cold. Golddusk watched as the fish swam by, waiting for the perfect opportunity to catch one of them. Finally, he spotted a big one swimming close to where he was. He crouched down, lifted a paw and then took a quick strike once he thinks that fish is close enough. To his dismay, the fish quickly moved out of his reach and than it swam faster down the river. Golddusk spotted another one and then tried again, only to meet the same result. It seems to Golddusk that he will not be catching any fish anytime soon. moonKT60633

During the tournament Marshfur sat beside pheasantdrift, she realised she loved spending with them. After the Tournament she began to regret not joining in, Marshfur went on patrol with foggydusk and beechfawn. Foggydusk began to tell the other two cats stories of when she was a loner, then the last story about a hairless cat standing like a twoleg made Marshfur laugh a lot. Hawkheart fighting forestfreckle!Hawkheart stood in the clearing with all his clanmates gathered around and eagerly looked at duskfeather and fawnstar for the order of who's fighting who. "Next will be hawkheart and forestfreckle in a match!" Duskfeather said out loud and hawkheart walked up to the small center. He looked at forestfreckle and smiled a small grin and crouched down low for a starting spring. He lunged and hit the she-cat in the stomach sending her reeling to the ground farther away. Dapplesong in the medicine cats den. Disagreed with hawkheart!Dapplesong sighed as she layed down on her moss bed in the medicine cats den. A rouge and now a fox! She thought and looked at her tail rapped in soft cobwebs. It stung but she didn't say anything not wanting to annoy hatchhusk who was in the den at the moment. A roar of cheers came up in the clearing and she slowly slipped to the opening of the den and watched the fun outside. Hawkheart was fighting forestfreckle and had pushed him to the ground with a triumphant smile. I hope he loses. She thought having just had an argument with her former mentor about staying away from the fun outside. And his argument was that i need to heal. That was annoying because the match's looked like fun to her and would gladly have fought in it if not for hawkheart and the medicine cats telling her to rest. PHEASANTDRIFT [ Off With Their Heads! ] " Only it's wise to be handy with a rolling pin... when the landlord comes to call! " (Consider Yourself from Oliver!)
Pheasantdrift turned to Feathersong, quickly giving an affirming nod.
"We can beat Wildclove!" she called to her as she flexed her claws. When Fawnstar gave the signal, Pheasantdrift circled Wildclove while batting her paws at him. Eventually, she was flung into the air and landed on her paws. She turned to see Feathersong fighting with him, and she got back in.
After a bit, the battle ended and Pheasantdrift took a moment to breathe before she suddenly found herself walking with Hawkheart and Kiteprickle, off to a border patrol.
***
Pheasantdrift turned to the BurdockClan border, before catching a scent... there was an incoming BurdockClan patrol! She turned her head to the other warriors. "I hear BurdockClan!" she called to them, before the BurdockClan warriors approached.
"... Pheasantdrift, right?" one of the senior warriors asked.
Pheasantdrift nodded. "Yes. That's me." she replied. The senior warrior nodded. "I hear your clan has been doing well since the war." the senior warrior added. Pheasantdrift turned to the other to warriors for their feedback, before turning her head back to the BurdockClan warriors and nodding.
"Good. But we come to tell you about YewClan." a younger warrior added. The warrior looked about Pheasantdrift's age. "Yes... what about it?" Pheasantdrift asked, her paw skimming the water on the stream.
"... Your clan is lucky you don't have any kits in the nursery. YewClan is full of kit-thieves, and I heard they may have stolen some kits very recently." an apprentice added. Pheasantdrift gave an uneasy look before nodding.
"I-... suppose so. We'll keep that in mind." Pheasantdrift finished before she wished them well and headed back.

Jamilah PlumClan territory | w/ Amberdapple, Golddusk, Weedpaw, Duststep stormshade1 stonekeeper , 𝚌𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚌𝚕𝚞𝚎 Gathering moss Stubbornly refuses to listen to Duststep Wonders about cats she knew
Jamilah's interest was piqued at not the sparring going on in the clearing, but a conversation between Duststep and some other cats. Her pale yellow hackles raised slightly as she heard Duststep complain about Quickshade being in the elder's den. What business does Duststep have in criticizing clanmates? They were all valuable, no matter their position or how they wound up there. She had to keep herself from saying something hurtful, that wouldn't be productive. Jamilah's time was better spent continuing with her patrol to gather moss and returning quickly in order to help their clanmates with accidental injuries.
She tried to forget the warrior's comment while walking through PlumClan territory with Amberdapple, Golddusk, and Weedpaw. Of course, she walked close to her kit, Weedpaw. Maybe one day one of her kits would want to become a medicine cat, maybe she could be one of their mentors! What a dream that would be. She loved PlumClan, but there was something different about the ties of family. Her kits brought back that feeling she had been missing since leaving her loner days. Where was her family now, were they even alive?
Upon arriving at the cluster of oak trees where Jamilah and Amberdapple usually harvested moss, her jaw dropped. "It's...all gone!" There's no way, the medicine cats were just here gathering moss a quarter moon ago it seemed like! "That's rather unfortunate then," she frowned in thought, "Well...I suppose we'll have to gather what little we can." She moved to begin harvesting the small scraps of moss that remained. It was certainly not enough to need 4 cats assisting.

Wildclove
Wildclove feels this is slightly unfair.
He circles the two cats opposite him, knowing he's quite out-matched. But unwilling to fold. Fawnstar gave the signal and Wildclove pounced, ducking under Pheasantdrift batting paws and using his bigger body to fling her away. He huffs- getting no rest as Feathersong is on him immediately. Wildclove gave a good fight, swiping Feathersong over the ears- but was outmatched by two warriors. He's thrown to the ground- and loses. Wildcloves not too fussed, congratulating the two on their teamwork and limping off to the prey-pile.
He notices some prey and sets it aside “Auburncreeks favourite” he murmurs The ginger warrior was in the match after him. She’ll be hungry.
Dogpaw She/her Border Patrol with Wildclove - me Daisytuft - lazzylake Cloverfur - Dew
Dogpaw trails after Wildclove, paws dragging across the ground, sun beating down on her back. She feels a light pang of jealousy at the medicine cats getting to hang out in the cool med den. Maybe she should be a medicine cat apprentice…. One look at Wildcloves proud back has her straightening out. Nah- no way! She’s a warrior through and through.
Their group stops, Cloverfur having scented something, someone, in the air. He flies off- Wildclove having Dogpaw sit back and wait….. A cat! Cloverfur leading a kittypet away from the border, she smells sick.. Dogpaw slides up next to her “I'm Dogpaw, and don't worry! Our healers are the best, you're in good paws! Forestfreckle .*❁ ________________________________________________________________________________________________* No longer has greencough * Discusses insecurities with Fawnstar * congratulates Larchspeck * Didn't notice Duskfeather trying to get her attention * Matched up with Hawkheart in tournament, loses * Hunting patrol w/ Lilacshade, Larchspeck, Pineconenibble * Argument with Pinconepaw mediated by willowmouse
I'm not dead.
That was the first thought that came to Forestfreckle's mind as the day began. Since having the harsh realization of what greencough could end up doing to her last moon, Forestfreckle had put the utmost care into doing everything she could do to recover. She listened to everything that her clan's healers said, at least when she could make it out, and now, she was feeling a lot better. The auburn she-cat certainly wasn't at 100 percent, and she looked like an absolute mess with multicolored spikes of fur sticking up at every end of her body, but she was ready to be part of the clan again. Well at least if Jamilah agreed.
Forestfreckle walked up to the sandy spotted medicine cat. She took a breath, gave herself a good lick and meowed, "Jamilah, hey, I've been feeling a lot better you know, and I think it would be really good for me If I got some exercise and maybe got out and started to do a few things with the clan again. Would that be alright with you?"
Lucky for Forestfreckle, Jamilah agreed, and with a very heartfelt but quick thank you, Forestfreckle flung herself out of the medicine cat's den. Her first task of the day was to visit Fawnstar. She was excited, and very eager to talk with Fawnstar about Larchpaw. As Forestfreckle had recovered, she had visited with him and several other cats he had been training with, and heard all about his successes in her absence. Perhaps, she hadn't been so useless to Larchpaw while stuck in the medicine cat's den after all! From what it sounded like, Larchpaw had been excelling with the help of her initial teachings, and his exposure to new cats had only boosted the skills she had originally given him. Forestfreckle was proud, and despite the fact that she hadn't been at his side for the last two moons, the she-cat knew Larchpaw was ready to become a warrior. She bounced into her mother's den with glee.
"Hi Fawnstar! I just ca-" Forestfreckle's words were interrupted by a small coughing fit, "Sorry, let me start again. I just wanted to stop by and say that I am officially joining clan life again!" The she-cat's eyes shown brightly, proud of herself and excited to launch into a conversation about Larchpaw. "I'm also her to talk about Larchpaw, if you have a moment?"
For the next several moments, Forestfreckle boasted about her apprentice, and urged Fawnstar to let her start his assessments. Had she heard the story about how he had beat Pinconepaw in their first sparring match? If it was time for Pineconepaw's assessments, it was time for Larchpaw's! Then, to conclude her persuasive argument for Larchpaw, Forestfreckle let herself delve into her own insecurities. She would do anything to have Larchpaw succeed and give her one positive thing to end moons of very negative things. She began of course with the loss of Fallowpaw, but the more she talked the more she began letting out her thoughts on how ever since Havenspots had died, nothing had been the same for their family. Forestfreckle mentioned how she felt that she was always having to be responsible for her clan and their family, and how she felt like she was failing at doing both.
"I just want to be the best cat I can be for everyone in this clan, and after not being enough for Fallowpaw, Auburncreek, and you, I don't want to be the reason that Larchpaw isn't recognized for his accomplishments. He's proven himself in my absence, and he should be recognized for that." Hopefully that was enough to convince Fawnstar.
---
A few days later, Forestfreckle cheered as loud as her lungs would let her.
"LARCHSPECK! LARCHSPECK!"
The she-cat was beaming, her fur sticking up with excitement, and also still from two moons of being cooped up in the medicine cat's den. After her conversation with Fawnstar, Forestfreckle had moved back into the warrior's den, but she had been so focused on getting everything ready for Larchpaw to become a warrior she hadn't had time for anything other than sleeping. She was so proud of him!
Looking to the ginger tom, she meowed, "Look at you! A warrior already! Congratulations Larchspeck!" Forestfreckle bowed her head, but the sudden movement sent black spots across her vision, and her head began to spin. She blinked the spots away, but she couldn't shake the clouds from her mind. "I think now that you're a warrior, maybe you should enter into the tournament Fawnstar and Duskfeather have organized! Show the clan why you became a warrior! Not just any apprentice can beat an older cat in a spar! You've got skills!" Forestfreckle bared her teeth in a smile and bent down, she meant to whisper, but with her lungs still ravaged by greencough, her voice came out louder than intended, echoing slightly against the twoleg den's walls, "Perhaps more skills than Pinconepaw! Although, you might want to spar with somecat else this time. It's probably a bit of a sore subject for her that you've become a warrior a moon early while she's fallen behind. Pick a cat more at your own level. Not Pineconepaw."
Forestfreckle's mind still swam and the black spots re-enterd her vision as she straightened herself back up. She hadn't noticed that she had used Pinconenibble's apprentice name in her conversation, but she did notice Pinconenibble staring at her angrily when her vision cleared. Had the she-cat overheard? No matter. Froestfreckle had more pressing matters to attend to. She was going to take her own advice and enter herself into the tournament! It would be the perfect opportunity for herself to prove that she was useful again now that she wasn't sick! Stifling a few coughs, she proudly raised her head and softly yowled, "To celebrate Larchspeck's apprenticeship, I am going to join the tournament!" Once accepted, she left the gathering to retire to the warriors den, accidentally missing Duskfeather's attempts to get her attention. She was too tired.
---
For the tournament, Forestfreckle had been matched up with Hawkheart, a cat whom she had grown up with, but whom was also slightly older than her. This meant that this really was Forestfreckle's opportunity to prove herself to Plumclan. If she too could beat an older warrior, she'd be worthy of being recognized as a productive Plumclan member once again. It was her time to shine!
As Hawkheart crouched with a smile, Forestfreckle puffed herself up, ready to spring out of the way. What business did Hawkheart have giving away his moves with such an obvious crouch? How cocky of him, Forestfreckle thought. She wouldn't fall for that. However, as Hawkheart leaped, Forestfreckle found that she didn't have her usual strength about her, and couldn't launch herself off of the ground in time to avoid his blow. The she-cat let out a surprised gasp as his strong paws made contact with her stomach and sent her flying across the clearing. She hit the ground with a thud, and opened her eyes to once again see black spots swimming across her vision. What's wrong with me??
Forestfreckle let out a frustrated snarl and leapt to her feet, bounding towards Hawkheart. "Is that all you've got?" As she ran, she once again puffed herself up, making herself look taller than she was, and acted like she was going to aim for the same spot on his side. At the last moment, she dove under his stomach, but instead of sailing through to the other side, she clumsily got caught underneath him. It made the move awkward, but she managed to get her back legs underneath him to give him a good blow to the belly as well. She heard the crowd cheer as he fell over with an "uumph!", but she didn't take any time to soak in the glory. Forestfreckle put all of her effort into beating Hawkheart up off of the ground. However, she was not fast enough, and Hawkheart pinned her two the ground with a smile. Forestfreckle did not return the smile, but she did nod politely, avoiding Hawkhearts gaze, her pelt hot with embarrassment.
"Good match," she meowed, and then snuck off to find her favorite thinking rock.
---
Unfortunately for Forestfreckle, she couldn't hide her embarrassment forever, as she was eventually put back into clan duties and assigned to a hunting patrol with Larchspeck, Lilacshade, and Pinconenibble. The ginger she-cat kept her mouth shut for most of the trip, embarrassed and angry with herself, but after a bit of silence, she began to find herself becoming irritated with Pinconenibble. The young she-cat had started making suggestions about where to hunt. Who does she think she is? Lilacshade is the senior warrior on this hunt! And Lilacshade wasn't exactly asking for help!
Forestfreckle let out a snort as the group took Pineconenibble's suggestion and headed to the cornfield. As they reached it's edge, their paws startled up a small group of two mice, and Forestfreckle immediately reached out to swipe one up, but once again, her muscles failed her and she was two slow. Pineconeibble on the other had, had snatched one. The rest of the patrol congratulated her, but Forestfreckle just eyed her and let out a sigh.
For the rest of the patrol tensions between the two cats were high, and once they returned to camp, an argument ensued until Willowmouse could get involved to mediate. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ OOC: Apologies for the long post, but Forestfreckle is getting a bit of character development! The Clan needed more moss, both for the warrior’s nests and for the healers to use. Golddusk hoped that they’ll be able to find enough moss for both patrols. While the warriors does need more moss for their nest, it was equally just as important that the medicine cats get enough moss as well. Upon arriving to a moss gathering spot, Golddusk felt disappointed to find that there is not enough moss for every cat on the patrol. It seemed that this spot was recently gathered from and now there was not much moss left to gather. Golddusk nodded in agreement to what Jamilah had said about gathering what little they could find. He then began to help harvest the moss. He picked up what little scraps he could find wherever he could. Unfortunately, what little moss he found isn’t enough to help repair a warrior’s nest, never mind multiple ones. I suppose it’s better than finding nothing… Golddusk thought to himself as he tried to gather more moss. ——— Golddusk-is enjoying his prey/gets a stomachache Golddusk returned to camp after a day of patrolling and trying to find moss. He, along with the rest of the patrol, had brought back what little moss they could find. He began to feel hungry after he dropped off the moss so he walked over to the fresh-kill pile to see what prey is available there. He spotted a plump rabbit and picked it up, carrying it over to a quiet spot in camp where he can eat the rabbit in peace. After a long day of patrolling, it felt nice to relax for a bit. He began to eat the rabbit, enjoying the taste of his prey as he ate. After he had finished eating, he began to feel pain in his stomach. Of course, it’s just his luck that he ended up getting a stomachache so soon after an unsuccessful patrol! Looks like today just isn’t my day… Golddusk thought as he got up and started walking towards the medicine cat’s den. lemonshortbread stormshade1

Duststep Resentful of Quickshade | Watching the sparring tournamentDuststep huddled in the circle of cats forming the boundary of the sparring ring in the middle of camp. She was up next- though she didn't remember against who again- but figured in the meantime that she would watch from the sidelines. Her eyes were fixed on the match about to start between her former apprentice and former mentor. She was proud of Pineconenibble and how hard she had worked to become a warrior this moon, but still wondered if her training of Pineconenibble was as competent as Leopardcry's mentorship of her was. I guess the outcome of this match will tell me if I really am a good mentor. Leopardcry had just become a warrior when she trained me, hadn't she? But I've been a warrior for some... 24 moons now- she grimaced a bit at realizing how long it had been, when did she stop keeping track?- and if I can't train Pineconenibble better than she trained me with all the experience I've accumulated, it'll be so embarassing. Sitting up straight again, she shook her head. I'm overthinking it. They're both very competent warriors, but Leopardcry has far more experience as a warrior. Whether Pineconenibble wins or not is more down to luck than anything. As she sat up, Duststep spotted Quickshade sprawled in the elder's den and pursed her lips; at least Pineconenibble and Leopardcry both contributed more to the clan than her. She knew the retired healer was skilled at hunting and mediating- at least, she had been in her prime- so why waste it on being a healer? At the very least, why not become a mediator after retirement like Willowshade had? She didn't understand. Off the top of her head, she couldn't think of a single cat Quickshade had saved from a certain death during her time as healer. Her feeling of resentment towards Quickshade didn't stem from a place of jealousy, honest; Duststep just enjoyed contributing to her clan, and just couldn't understand how Quickshade didn't seem to feel a shred of guilt traipsing into Plumclan from her loner life and consuming all their hard-earned prey while doing basically nothing. She would never tell Quickshade to her face, of course; but she had to know if her clanmates felt the same... Duststep nudged the cat to her right to get their attention and, not taking her eyes of the match, complained in a quiet voice "Am I the only one who wonders why we still keep Quickshade around? She just sits in the elders' den doing nothing all day. Not much different than when she was a healer, I guess. But would it kill her to get on her paws and help out a bit by mediating like Willowshade does?"
OOC: The part about Quickshade felt so rude to write lol. Between this and the patrol last moon I feel like Duststep has slowly been getting a bit meaner
Training patrol with Duskfeather and Feathersong
As dawn broke on the orchard, Duststep sized up the tree in front of her to figure out the best way to climb it. Duskfeather had asked Duststep and (against her wishes) Feathersong to come with him for an early-morning patrol so the three cats could practice her climbing before it got too hot out around midday. Leaping onto the trunk and scrambling up onto a low branch, she was about to make her way further up when Duskfeather talking below caught her attention. She almost fell out in shock when she heard him mention retirement; him? Retire? "Duskfeather, I can't even imagine Plumclan without you as deputy," she told him as she sprung gracefully back down onto the ground. "But you've been a great deputy for many many years. While the clan will miss your guidance, I don't blame you at all for wanting to step down after working so hard for so many moons. I can only hope whoever Fawnstar appoints to replace you can match your dedication," she purred reassuringly. "Even in the elders' den, you'll still be a valuable part of Plumclan." Tansypaw Training patrol with Bristlefur, Blizzardwing, Thorncrawl, Orangepaw, and Shimmerpaw | Is feeling content | Realized he has a lot in common with Larchspeck
Tansypaw already wasn't paying much attention to Blizzardwing's lecture about camp cleanliness, his head lolled back as he stared into the distance at the camp's ceiling. She was fun to listen to when she was telling him about Plumclan's history, but mouse-bile not so much. When he saw out of the corner of his eye Orangepaw get up and wander off, and Thorncrawl subsequently run after him to try to bring him back, he took it as his cue that nothing was really going to happen on this training patrol. Standing up and shaking to dispel the tingling numbness that had been starting to form in his paws as he had been sitting, he turned to Shimmerpaw sitting beside him. He hadn't gotten many chances to talk to the new apprentice, but from what he'd seen of the grey tabby's demeanor Tansypaw could already tell they'd be fast friends. (Besides, given all the other apprentices were either practically about to graduate or his siblings, it wasn't like he had much choice. He regretted not spending as much time with Larchspeck before he'd become a warrior as he'd only just realized how much they had in common. And just like Larchspeck Tansypaw hoped he could graduate early too!) He quickly batted Shimmerpaw's shoulder with one paw before jumping back out of his reach, grinning. "Let's spar! I wanna see if I can beat someone who was able to outrun a dog."

Auburncreek Tournament {--} with Bumblecrest Auburncreek stretched out her paws, Fawnstar and Duskfeather were running a tournament. She thought it was for apprentices, not for full grown warriors that could be out there fighting some rogues or something. However, Daisytuft, a friend from apprenticehood had pressured her into it. Something about how great she is at fighting, which Auburncreek just shrugged. If she thinks she should do it, then so be it. She will enter the tournament.
Auburncreek stood in the circle, feeling her clanmates as spectators behind her. Infront of her, was Bumblecrest. A strong willed tom, she could easily tell he was Leopardcry’s son. Her sons shared so much resemblance to the cream molly they called mother. She flexed her claws, surely they don’t need to sheathe them, do they? But with a steady glance from her mother, she guessed they had to fight like kits. She sheathed her claws, her fiery copper gaze burning onto Bumblecrest’s.
“Begin!”
She heard a cat yowl, probably the leader or deputy. She threw herself into battle, instantly thrusting herself into Bumblecrest, he was a big tom, and she realised that later than she wanted. He knocked back a little, and she stood back. She was met with a flurry of paws after, feeling Bumblecrest aim for her paws. She instantly moved out of the way, surprised by the toms spirit. Here she thought she would have to go easy. Now she felt the pressure of the battle, she had to go full in on a clanmate. She yowled, before jumping into the air. She landed on Bumblecrest’s back, pushing the tom to the ground.
When he was on the ground, she looked up at Fawnstar. Her mothers gaze, always unreadable, stared back. She stepped off Bumblecrest, letting him stand up. “Well done. Not every warrior has the spirit to fight me.” She nodded to the young warrior, feeling his pride basically radiating. “Good battle.” She looked up to Fawnstar, her fierce glint showing in her eyes. “Who's next?” She purred with confidence. If any cat knew anything about Auburncreek, it was how much she loved fighting.
- - -
After the sparring tournament, she was met by a cat she didn’t expect. Her sisters apprentice. Larchspeck had been just made into a warrior, a moon early. Just like her siblings once had. “That was awesome! The way you pounced on his back was the coolest thing!” Larchspeck mewed, staring up at Auburncreek with the same fierce gaze she had. She blinked at him, she supposed they did look alike. The two red bengal cats stood beside eachother. “Can you show me some of your moves? Forestfreckle never showed me that!” He paused, then shook out his fur twice the size.
“I can’t wait to be just like you!”
[[ aaaa we wanted to keep his innocence clangen!! but I suppose he could become a little auburn double if the game deems it so ]]

Leopardcry Patrol {--} with Hatchhusk Leopardcry led the way with her mate, the two brushing their flanks. She enjoyed being mates with Hatchhusk, she finally felt like she didn’t have to worry about her kits leaving her alone. Now she had Hatchhusk, and they could both be together. Earlier, Leopardcry had faced Pineconenibble in the tournament, easily beating the new warrior. Leopardcry had lots more experience of course, not like she cared much about the sparring, but it was a way to freshen up her skills.
Looking to Hatchhusk, something seemed off. She was told they were searching for herbs, and he seemed to be really trying too, of course. However, she could see the exhaustion in his gaze. A clans healer has so much pressure, especially being one so young. “The healers den, has it been busy?” she tried to start up a conversation, but it seems nothing is working. He continues to walk forward. She blinked, then saw ahead. “Come on,” She put her tail on her mates flank, then guided him towards a sunny clearing. She lied down first, and once Hatchhusk joined her, she gave him a swift lick on the head, letting him rest. Rarely did a clan cat get to rest, so they may aswell enjoy it while it lasts.
[[ these two — is someone cutting onions in here?? :”[ ]]

Larchspeck Warrior Ceremony {--} with Dogpaw & Forestfreckle Larchpaw purred out of delight. In his warrior assessment, he had passed. He passed with flying colors. So much so, he was going to be made a warrior a moon early! He made sure to visit his sister, Dogpaw. “I promise when you become a warrior, we can go patrol all the time! I’ll even save a nest in the den for you next to me.” He purred. He couldn’t lie, something felt different. Every patrol, he had felt more comfortable letting out his new skills he learned in different ways. One could even say that the young bengal tom was growing fierce. This was something Larchpaw enjoyed however, ever since he saw Auburncreek, he couldn’t wait to be just like the powerful warrior.
He looked to Fawnstar, who gave him the name Larchspeck, and he was rewarded for his cunning. He looked to Forestfreckle, and purred when his mentor came up to him. “I’m a warrior now! Nothing can stop me now!” He meowed to his mentor, his tail twitching with excitement.

Bumblecrest Tourniment He dipped his head respectfully, he had lost but Auburncreek had complimented him which made him feel better. He trotted to the side-lines and sat panting lightly from the spar. He could feel his mother would be proud, I mean he had fought a more experienced warrior and did pretty good if he did say so himself. Auburncreek had fought amazingly! But he was SURE he'd win the next fight he was in either friendly spar or an entire battle. He was SURE of it! He had been trying to practice move, and failing miserably I might add. He then saw Blizzardwing do it, he watched patiently and did exactly what the mollie did and got the move down. He pranced happily for a second before settling down and purring to himself. He had a good moon so far, he'd gotten to speak with Fawnstar and Willowmouse. The spar might not have been in his favor but it was about having fun right? RIGHT?! He Blazetumble and Stargazer had been on a patrol around the Yewclan border, they spotted another patrol on the other side of the pond but remembered that there had been tension with Burdockclan earlier between the two. They decided that they should leave them be, even at the disappointment to Bumblecrest who would have been GLAD to nurture a fight between the clans. OOC: Hehehe Bumblecrest shall have his revange on no specific cat!!!! MWAHAHAHHAHAAA!!!! Waaiit.... Maybe I shouldn't try and get him hurt and/or in a fight TAGZZZ: dew x2 Mentionz: polarized stormshade1 :3

Foggydusk, ghost stories. Rolls her eyes when Stargazer does anything (--) Doesn't think Dapplesong appreciates her (---rom) With Beechfawn sharptail and Marshfur snowfall1 She was on patrol, she wasn't sure that she was enjoying clan life so far but decided to liven things up. She began talking of stories from when she was a loner. "There was a story from when I was younger, it was to keep the kits from leaving nests at night alone. There was a LARGE owl, I'm talking as big as a BADGER!" She meowed obviously exaggerating, she continued. "It would swoop down from the highest bit of the barn and catch any kits who wandered to far!" She had an evil grin on her muzzle and flicked her tail seeing the others were slightly frightened. "And one time I saw a group of cannible cats! They were eating the carcass of a poor soul who had stumbled into their land!" She slowed her pace "One of them wore a chain of BONES around their neck!" She went on before getting to where she had lost creativity. "And there was this... Gaint hairless CAT! Who.. Was on all fours?" She said scepticle of herself. After a few moments of silence they all burst out laughing. She wasn't even embarrassed she was laughing with cats instead of being laughed at. OOC: This is from previous moon lol...

Cloverfur Thinks Larchspeck is brave and skillfull, Makes Dogstripe laugh during her ceremony, & Hunting Patrol || with Leopardcry, Auburncreek Cloverfur sat when the meeting was called, smiling to himself. He knew that it was time for Dogpaw to get her warrior name, joining Larchspeck in the warriors den. He hadn't seem her assessment, but he had heard of it, and how well she had done. It was also worthy to note how Larchspeck was adapting to being a warrior, showing his true skill and bravery with his new name. But now was Dogpaw's time.
The words were spoken, and Dogpaw gained the name of Dogstripe. She wasn't related to him, nor had he been her mentor, but Cloverfur saw it in himself to give full support to all of his clanmates. As the rest of the clan was cheering, Cloverfur made a point to make his voice higher and lower, catching Dogstripe's eye and winking. The new warrior let out a laugh, and Cloverfur smiled.

Greenleaf was approaching, and with it came warmer weather and more prey. But newleaf was not yet over, and the past moon had been full of showers and sunshine. Luckily it wasn't raining at the moment, the day after Dogstripe's ceremony, and other than the occasional dew drops from overhead, the patrol stayed dry.
They hadn't caught much yet, the wetness of the area around them making it hard to scent much prey. His tail tip twitched back and forth, the only thing hinting he was slightly annoyed. It didn't matter, they would find something. He had a feeling anyways, and even still, it was hard not to catch something in newleaf.
That was when they found the jackpot, a few squirrels rustling around in a nearby bush. Exchanging glances with Leopardcry and Auburncreek he gave a slight nod, running into the bush. The squirrels were alerted, jumping out of the bush where Leopardcry and Auburncreek were waiting. Still, one of them got away and Cloverfur gave chase, leaving Auburncreek and Leopardcry to deal with the other one. It wasn't long until he cornered the creature, pouncing and delivering the killing bite to the back of it's neck. Yes!
He made his way back to the two she-cats, who had also caught their squirrel. "Great job!" [[ OOC here ]]

Fawnstar »
badger with duststep - 𝚌𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚌𝚕𝚞𝚎 & kiteprickle - ivypool4life saw rindlestripe show off a skill thinks golddusk should be on more patrols & thinks being leader of all these cats is quite difficult
Even with the light drizzle that splashed upon Fawnstar’s coat and the rich new scents of budding plants that layered the earth, the stench of badger was unmistakable. Muskier than the top soil and denser than the plants, Fawnstar knew the scent of badger when it hit her. And it was fresh, too. Perhaps from earlier this morning before the clouds opened up once more, throwing a light sprinkle of rain down onto the ground.
The fur along her hackles rose, instinct telling her to watch every single movement within the undergrowth. The PlumClan leader counted the two warriors who padded alongside her, jaws parting as she called out to the two, ”Duststep, Kiteprickle, be alert. We have a badger nearby.” The word ‘badger’ rolled off her tongue with cold disdain, her claws unsheathing automatically. An image of a beady eyed black and white monster flashed in the tortoiseshell’s mind. Fawnstar’s shoulders rolled underneath her damp pelt. Her patrol was a small one, with just her, Duststep, and Kiteprickle. A patrol of three would surely have a hard time besting a badger, but Fawnstar strained her ears to pick up the sounds of the forest nearby - chirping birds, squirrels nibbling on acorns they had stored through leaf-bare. If a badger was nearby the world would be silent and still, holding its breath. That gave Fawnstar some hope that her patrol would be fine, but a warrior knew to never let their guard down.
Upon Duststep’s suggestion, Fawnstar gave a nod of agreement and motioned with her tail for the two mollies to follow. It did not take the patrol long to come across the obvious signs of a badger. A sett, newleaf grasses crushed down from a lumbering animal, bones from meals long eaten, and scat where the creature had no intentions of covering it up. Fawnstar’s nose wrinkled, disgust apparent on her rounded face. Why so many creatures didn’t think to cover their dirt, Fawnstar had no idea, but it was always an indicator whether or not the Clan had a predator on their territory or not.
It was clear that a badger had made a home in PlumClan territory. Fawnstar sighed. Things like this happened, but she should have made sure more patrols had been sent out to scout every corner of their territory. This could have been avoided, and PlumClan had plenty of warriors to cover every inch of territory they had, yet that had not happened and now a badger was living on their land. She should have managed patrols better, should have spoken with Duskfeather more about where to send their warriors for the day, but between managing apprentices, holding ceremonies, running assessments, and checking on her Clanmates who needed a little push, Fawnstar had been stretched thin. She had so many cats to care for, so many things she needed to tend to… She loved her position as leader, she did, but sometimes it was hard with all these cats relying on her. But this was no pity party for Fawnstar. This was a patrol, and now decisions had to be made.
The tortoiseshell bengal motioned for Duststep and Kiteprickle. ”We’ll head back to camp now that we know for sure a badger is here. If we’re chasing off this badger then we need more warriors at our side.” Already she was going over a list of warriors she could trust to chase the badger off. Surely Kiteprickle and Duststep would want to help finish what had been started. Fawnstar was determined to do that as well. A part of her wanted to bring Duskfeather, but her deputy was getting older, his movements slowing down. She trusted the dark tabby with every fiber of her being, but perhaps he could sit this badger chase out. Rindlestripe would be a good choice; just the other day she had noticed the feline showing off an ability she had no idea they could even do, and it would be a lie if she said she hadn’t been impressed. Rindlestripe was an amazing warrior, and that wasn’t just her feelings about the tabby shining through. Golddusk was another cat to come to mind. He could do with some more patrols, she decided. But of course all of this was a hypothetical for now. She’d sit down and discuss this with Duskfeather and a few of her senior warriors and elders later. For now though, she wanted to get back to camp before the rain fell harder and before the badger returned.

Auburncreek - Flexes her claws - Catches a runny nose - Prays she doesn’t have to patrol with Bumblecrest - Patrol {--} with Cloverfur & Leopardcry Auburncreek stared at Duskfeather, listening to him sorting out patrols. In the corner of her eye, was the young warrior Bumblecrest she had sparred with a while back. She had won, and with the awkwardness, she prays to starclan she didn’t get put on patrol with him. Instead, she was invited with Cloverfur and Leopardcry. Two experienced warriors, which she wasn’t bothered about. Knowing Auburncreek, We know she would act the same to them both. She flexed her claws into the ground, excited for the day ahead. She couldn’t wait to put her claws into something! She had been in camp for wayyy too long, like ages! She trotted happily, before sniffling to herself. She growled, pawing her nose. A runny nose! She scoffed. That’s something that happens to kits! As if she was answered, Leopardcry purred beside her. She nudged Cloverfur, expecting him to join in. “Oh no!” She answered dramatically. “Whatever shall we do if we don’t have Auburncreek to protect us from enemy warriors with her amazing skills when she has a runny nose!” Leopardcry mewed teasingly. Auburncreek just purred back, rolling her eyes. “It’s just a runny nose. I can still fight.” She sniffed again, this time ignoring the teasing meows from her patrol-mates.
Surprisingly, Auburncreek manages to stumble across a pair of squirrels. She blinked at Cloverfur’s response, before he jumped into the bush. Auburncreek swished her tail in excitement, crouching down beside Leopardcry at the front of the bush. The fluffy fur of the cream furred warrior made her nose tickle even more. Honestly! She stared into the bush, until Cloverfur jumped back out. Ahead of them, were two squirrels. One ran off to the left, with Cloverfur on its bushy tail. One of them, a stupid one at that, ran right into the mollies paws. Auburncreek quickly pounced, missing, and growling. However, Leopardcry caught it behind her, holding it in her jaws. “Runny nose bothering you?” She purred. They saw Cloverfur walking back and Auburncreek rolled her eyes. “If there was a third one, I would have caught it.” She flicked her ears at her patrol mates. [[ trying out a new format, should help me focus out their thoughts more. ]]

Leopardcry - Wondering what Twolegs are really like - Talks to Dogstripe - thing 3 - thing 4 {--} with Dogstripe Leopardcry cheered at the ceremony, glad Dogstripe had graduated. She was once the young apprentice of Wildclove, but now she is a full grown warrior. She pulled the warrior to the side after her ceremony, asking her about anything that was bothering her or how her apprenticeship went. Her answers were well thought out, and made Leopardcry blink out of surprise at the young warrior. Already, so soon after her ceremony, was she so grown up. It made her realise just how old her kits must be now, if a warrior like Dogstripe was this wise already. “You are so wise already!” Leopardcry purred. “If you keep learning at this rate, you be more wiser than me in the next couple moons.” She dipped her head respectfully to the young warrior when she went to sit her vigil.
How long ago it had been since Leopardcry had her vigil. Since she had her first apprentice, Duststep. Her first litter, Blizzardwing. Her second. Her new mate, Hatchhusk. She caught Hatchhusk’s gaze, and met it with a kind smile. Seeing her clanmates, her kin, her friends in a place like this, she wondered how Twolegs survived. If they didn’t live like this, how could they ever be happy? She was as happy as she could ever be. Here in Plumclan with her family. [[ already did the patrol with auburn’s post. This one’s just a small post about other cats she interacted with]]

Larchspeck - Saves Pineconenibble from a large dog! - Is feeling perplexed - Caught Orangepaw complaining about him behind his back - thing 4 {--} with Pineconenibble & Orangepaw Larchspeck purred. Pineconenibble had asked him to accompany her to a small walk outside camp. Of course he accepted, feeling bad if he had said no. He needed something to cheer him up anyways. Earlier, he had caught Orangepaw complaining about him behind his back. Something about being too fierce in battle. If that puny apprentice had anything to say about him, how about he said it to his face? He would show him! The apprentice could even ask Auburncreek, the cat that had shown him such moves. He growled to himself, but saw Pineconenibble blink at him awkwardly. “Sorry!” He meowed to her, seeing how confused she was. “Apprentices just being annoying,” He purred, catching up to her.
Suddenly, a large rustling sound came from a bush in front of them. Larchspeck didn’t like this one bit. Not at all. He stared at Pineconenibble, before realising what was going on. “Watch out!” He hissed. “Move out the way!” He growled, but the she-cat just stood still. Larchspeck hissed in anger, full of fear for his friend. The dog ran out of the bush, right for Pineconenibble. Larchspeck ran forward, as fast as his paws could take him. He gave Pineconenibble a hard push, making her fall to the ground to the side, in the conflict he caught himself in the jaws of the large dog, before being flung to a tree against his back. He caught himself up to his paws, clumsily swinging from side to side. The wound in his side hurt like more than he had ever felt. But a clanmate was in danger. He had to put his life first. He yowled again, catching the dog’s attention. It turned from the chocolate furred molly, before barking angrily at Larchspeck. The tom readied himself, still stinging from the bite wound. The dog ran for him, but Larchspeck managed to step to the side, making the dog crash into the tree. He gave the dog another quick scratch to the face, a warning for it to remember. The dog growled in pain, before retreating back into the bushes. He blinked slowly at Pineconenibble, who quickly made her way to his side. He sighed, before dropping to the ground, his eyes slowly closing as he welcomed the comfort of sleep.
- - -
Larchspeck sat up quickly, before realising where he was. The medicine den. His side, covered in herbs and cobwebs. He flicked his ears, looking around him. What happened? He wondered to himself with new perplexed thoughts. He couldn’t remember what happened. A dog? Distant barking played in his mind as he slowly touched his paw to his wound. He scrunched his face in pain as he felt the damage done to his side. Outside, cheering was filling the clearing. A name played in his mind, “Dogstripe! Dogstripe!” He realised too late it was his sisters ceremony, trying to get up, but with no prevail. He dropped back to his nest, slowly hissing to himself as he realised he missed his sisters warrior ceremony. He tucked his head into his paws, his tail dropping over his nose.
