Beechkit - With Fawnstar
He nodded to his mentor to acknowledge her warning about hostile territory. He breathed in the scent of Burdock clan while making sure to stay behind Fawnstar and out of sight. He tried to remember the scent but he couldn't take his mind off Currentpaw. He wanted to curl up in his nest and never get up again but, he knew he couldn't do that, he was an apprentice now and had new responsibilities. The most he could do is hope that she was happy up in Starclan with her ancestors. He told himself that and then decided to focus on his training.

Duskfeather- Patrol with Lilacshade, Duststep and Forestfreckle/Agrees with Duststep Another death?! Already..? Duststep brought the lifeless body of Currentpaw back into camp. She had been hit my a monster. Of course. Something so sudden and preventable. A simple mistake costing the life of a young and promising cat. He probably should have been mad at Duststep, but he couldn’t bring himself to. It was clear that she felt guilty, and Duskfeather knew how it felt to lose someone due to your carelessness. Just like him, Duststep made a mistake. Duskfeather hoped she will be forgiven by the clan eventually, and she wouldn’t get any punishment from him. Now, if Fawnstar had anything to say about the situation, that would be different. A deputy always executes his leaders commands. But he doubted Fawnstar blamed Duststep for what happened to Currentpaw. A few days passed, and Duskfeather found himself in camp, with not many cats around. He had been so worried about the BurdockClan border and sending so many patrols there, that he neglected… everything else. Hunting, the other borders… all things that would have to be done now. He entered the clearing and saw three other cats around camp: Lilacshade, Duststep and Forestfreckle. They weren’t who he would usually patrol with, but they would do. “I need you three to join me for a big patrol. There’s a lot to do, so let’s be quick”. The four left camp and headed towards the border. Cherriberry had been injured by a BurdockClan cat recently. There were plenty of medicine cats, however. Duskfeather was sure she would recover, it’s just that the loss of a kit had broken her emotionally, and she might not stay as healthy. A few small barks could be heard in the distance as Forestfreckle ran towards the source of the sound. A dog! “Forestfreckle, wait!” He shouted. However before he could even stop her, the dog ran away. “You should have been more careful. This dog wasn’t a threat, but you could have encountered a larger one.” No matter. At least it was off the territory now. Another younger cat spoke before Duskfeather could. This time it was Duststep. "How about we split up? Two of us can check along the cornfield up to the barn, and two can start along the wall. We can stay pretty close in case we need backup, I just thought it might be more efficient. How about Duskfeather and I check the wall and Forestfreckle and Lilacshade can go to the cornfield?" It wasn’t a bad idea. They had a lot of ground to cover, and only four clan mates to do it with. “Of course I’m okay with it Duststep, it’s a good idea. You two make your way to the cornfield now, but let’s not stray too far away from each other.” I’m getting old, he thought. Younger cats were starting to take initiative with him around. He couldn’t deny it was irritating. He wasn’t used to getting orders. But at the same time, these cats could be future deputies. Showing off potential early in life was good. The clan having strong warriors with keen minds was good. This is good for the clan. He breathed in and out. No need to get frustrated. Or time for that matter. The pair continued to follow the wall. Everything seemed alright. “There are plenty of scratch marks in the more broken parts of the wall, keeping the border clear. It doesn’t seem they’ve crossed recently.” Eventually the wall ended, and the two cats stopped. “We should turn back and see how the others are doing. Remember, we still have to do some hunting on our way home.” Tagging 𝚌𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚌𝚕𝚞𝚎 asrise tigersdoroar

Leopardcry Lectures Forestfreckle on the warrior code & Nursery {--} with Forestfreckle, Hatchhusk She had finally regained her strength from birth. She felt great. She could move freely again, and finally felt rested. She left the nursery, stretching realllly long. She saw the young warrior Forestfreckle in camp. She eyed her warily, young warriors were always full of themselves! Not only were they over-confident, they were also unaware of the importance of the warrior code. It was the law all cats should live by! Without the warrior code, where would they be now? She hissed as she stepped in front of the tortoiseshell molly. “Shouldn’t you be on patrol! And don’t think I didn’t notice your recent disappearances!” She huffed, snorting at the young cat. “Talking to that Flowerclan tom from the gatherings, i presume!” She hissed at the molly, flexing her claws. “You have no respect for the clan, or your clanmates. Next time you leave, think about the tiny kits and the elders that will go hungry if you don’t hunt.” She gave a final snort, then turned around.
She walked pridefully back to the nursery, catching the glimpse of the healer Hatchhusk winking at her. She couldn’t help but purr as she saw the bluebells on his pelt. At least some cat has some manners! She told herself. I will teach my kits how important the warrior code is! She looked back to the nursery, entering to see her kits. “Gather round,” She flicked her tail, gathering her tiny, beautiful kittens. “Who can tell me the first rule of the warrior code?” She purred, staring at her kits. They were going to be noble warriors, and maybe, the next leader of Plumclan. Better than that Forestfreckle anyways… [[ I love her sassiness so much lol ]]

Blazekit Is hoping Willowmouse has a new story to tell him & Warrior code || with Leopardcry & Siblings Blazekit had been with his mother for the entire day. Well, he was usually with his mother all the time, but he was still a kit! Even if his littermates seemed to have moved on, he wouldn't. He would always stay by his mothers side! But... nowadays she left camp more, claiming she wanted to stretch her legs. Sometimes she even went on patrol! Aren't patrols dangerous? What if she doesn't come back? When she left camp Blazekit usually stayed with Willowmouse, but he always felt a little guilty. Did his siblings think he loved Willowmouse more than them? What about Leopardcry? Cloverfur?
I wonder if she has a new story to tell... He had heard all sorts of stories from Willowmouse, how the clan was founded, even some stories from outside of camp! She also told him about current events, like the war with BurdockClan. He didn't like those stories. Why didn't the two clans just talk about it and end the war? Then they could be peaceful again.
Leopardcry then entered the nursery, and he and his littermates huddled around each other. She was back! He thought he had heard her talking to another cat outside the nursery, but he couldn't be sure over his littermates yowling and playing. Maybe I should join them, but what if I embarrass myself?
“Who can tell me the first rule of the warrior code?” Leopardcry mewed, to them, and Blazekit glanced at his siblings. Did they know? Leopardcry had told them a few times, but he wasn't sure. There were so many rules? Which one was the first one?
I bet Fallowkit or Bumblekit know. They were know-it-alls, and sometimes it seemed they knew everything! It could get annoying at times when one of them blurted out an answer, and sometimes they could be quite rude about it, looking down on them because they didn't know.
Maybe Willowmouse told me about it! Blazekit thought... and thought... "No warrior is allowed to ignore a kit?" He blurted. That was the only rule that came to mind, because it was his favorite. He was happy there was a rule about helping other cats, instead of rules to harm another. But is it even a rule? It is the first one? What if I got it wrong and Leopardcry is disappointed in me?! [[ OOC here ]]

Amberdapple
Deaths, Patrol (asrise , ivypool4life )
No, no, no, no, no, no! It’s too much, it’s too much, too many of them – too many deaths, not enough time... no, no, too much! Stop. You need to calm down. Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out. It wasn’t her fault. Havenspots, Fogshard, Carnationkit, Currentpaw... BurdockClan... no. No. There couldn’t be that many deaths! No! No! No! She was a terrible healer. She let them die, didn’t she.
It was all her fault.
A patrol, to get her mind off the deaths. Cobwebs. They needed cobwebs. They were low on cobwebs. Luckily, she knew just the place.
Cobwebs. Cobwebs. Cobwebs. She ran the word through her mind as they walked.
Amberdapple went in first. She had been a healer of PlumClan longer than any of them, and she felt it was her duty to make sure no cat would be captured by Twolegs or anything.
It was dark and dusty. The only light was shed by the sliver of moon that was left. She could hear faint scurrying of rats and mice, and the door creaked as one of the cats behind her nudged it open more. The floor was littered with hay. She didn’t know why the Twolegs kept it, but Twolegs were silly. Everyone knew that.
There were cobwebs everywhere. She padded up to a corner and began collecting them, shaking out any spiders that might still make their home there.
“BurdockClan is evil.” Amberdapple agreed with Hatchhusk. “I bet they wouldn’t care if we all died. If all the other Clans died, they wouldn’t bat an eye!”
Blizzardpaw Patrol (Dew )
That morning, Blizzardpaw woke up with a second thorn in her heart.
The first one was from Fogshard – how would she become a warrior without him? He was her father. Nobody could replace him. And he was dead. Why would StarClan take him?
But the other... it was more vague than what she felt for Fogshard, but more... there. It was more present. Recent. A loss of some kind. Besides Currentpaw – she didn’t really know her fellow apprentice that well. Nobody had died. At least, she didn’t think so. But a quick check outside of the apprentice’s den at the warriors bustling around, intent on their day told her that nothing had happened.
So what was it? Suddenly something came to mind.
Carnationkit... No. No, no, no. Don’t think about that. The hawk... No!
Snow on the tops of the trees.
Snow on the ground.
Tiny footprints.
Another cat.
A kit.
Excitement.
Then a whoosh...
Feathers...
Pain...
Nothing.
Stop! No! Stop thinking about that. You’re going insane. You should probably talk to Amberdapple or Quickshade... Yeah. Maybe that would help.
But... that wasn’t it. But that memory made the sharpness in her heart grow. The kit... was dead. Who was that? How did she know that kit? The kit was... orange. That was all she could tell from her foggy memories. She would ask a healer when she got back from patrol.
Blizzardpaw would be a warrior soon. That was... awesome, really. It was something she always wanted to be, ever since she was a kit in the nursery, with Bubbl- Leopardcry and Fogshard watching over her. Fogshard. The dog... no. She wouldn’t think about that beast. She already had enough to worry about.
“Time to go. Blizzardpaw.” Her mentor’s voice distracted her from her thoughts. This might be my last patrol as an apprentice!
Blizzardpaw followed Cloverfur out of camp, and once they were a few fox-lengths away from camp, Cloverfur began to speak.
“So, you're almost a warrior, Blizzardpaw! I just want to talk to you about assessments and your warrior ceremony. If you have any questions, feel free to butt in and ask anything.”
“Okay.”
“Your assessment will probably start off with a hunting portion, all you need to do is catch as much prey as you can, pretty simple. You shouldn't have trouble with that since you're a skilled apprentice and it is newleaf, and the prey is hungry and stupid. The second portion will probably be a fighting portion, where you might face me or another warrior in a spar. Simple, right?”
“Yep!” Blizzardpaw could do this. She could do this.
“Now here's the fun part: the warrior ceremony! This will occur after you have proved yourself ready to be a warrior, whenever that may be. I remember my ceremony was held as the sun was setting and Fawnstar gave me my name, Cloverfur. I sat vigil at the camp entrance overnight listening to the sounds around me and making sure the clan was safe.”
That didn’t sound very hard. All she had to do was stay awake and make sure BurdockClan didn’t invade the camp. After all, she’d had many sleepless nights, so the first part wasn’t a problem. And she knew that she could yowl loud. So she’d be fine. She wasn’t worried about the assessment either – she knew that she was skilled enough to do it. Hopefully nothing went wrong.
“Golddusk, my first apprentice graduated a little late, but it wasn't a worry! Some cats just need more time, but every cat will get their name eventually. Havenspots graduated early and was honored for his compassion.” Cloverfur paused. Havenspots. The dead warrior. “They both are and were amazing warriors, and I am sure you will follow in their pawsteps, as well as all the warriors of PlumClan's pawsteps. You will be a great warrior, Blizzardpaw, I know it.”
She would be a great warrior. She would be the best warrior.

Duststep Border patrol with Duskfeather (and Forestfreckle and Lilacshade)
Duststep was silent as she and Duskfeather trudged their way along the wall that formed the border they were inspecting. She kept a close eye on the border's integrity, though sneaking glances at the deputy when she didn't think he was looking. He does seem a bit miffed that I tried to go over his head. I hope he isn't under the impression I don't think he's a good deputy or anything. Then again, he's been deputy my whole life, so I guess I wouldn't know. But I'm grateful that he didn't seem too mad at me after what I let happen to Currentpaw, even though he's in a position to be.. Realizing she had only been looking at the wall rather than really paying attention to it, she shook her head and refocused her efforts onto inspecting the border's scent more closely. Pay attention, Duststep! You can't keep getting lost in thought over that all the time.
Dustfeather was right; the border seemed clear. Good, they didn't need to start a second war in the middle of the first one. “We should turn back and see how the others are doing. Remember, we still have to do some hunting on our way home.” She nodded and turned around to head back the other way to meet back up with the rest of their patrol. After a long moment of silence as they walked, she quietly spoke. "I don't know if I've ever mentioned this to you, but I look up to you. Especially when I was an apprentice, I wanted to be like you when I grew up. You always seem like you know what you're doing, I'm jealous."

PUMPKINKIT [ Is Whimpering In Her Sleep - "I Want To Be Like You!" ] " It's clear, we're, going to get along! " (Consider Yourself from Oliver!)
Pupmkinkit felt better yesterday. Her siblings were nicer to her, and comforted Pheasantkit earlier about being left out of games.
But today, she wasn't having it.
She was whimpering in her sleep because she had a dream that she was a healer, and BurdockClan warriors were scratching her constantly, and she was crying out in pain for help. But no one came to help her, and she was left out to bleed a-
"Pumpkinkit! You've got uhhh... You got burrs in your fur!" Kitekit called out. Pumpkinkit sat up and say that there were burrs in her fur. Pumpkinkit sighed. "Can you please help me?" she asked. Kitekit nodded. "Of course!" she laughed. She began picking out the burrs in her fur before speaking.
"Why are your siblings being so mean to Pheasantkit?" she then asked. That hurt Pumpkinkit deeply. "I know... they really thought that she was gonna abandon PlumClan to be a loner... but it's just not true! I know that she was just interested! I believed her!" she exclaimed. "I wanna tell mom about it but... I don't think she's listening to Pheasantkit..."
Kitekit gave a worried expression. "Oh..." she mumbled, before finishing with the burrs. "All done!" she exclaimed. Pumpkinkit ruffled her fur. "Thanks bud!" she exclaimed before walking out.
She thought, "Hey, I should go visit the medicine cats!" and she did.
When walking in, she saw a new cat! It was a long-furred cinnamon marbled tabby molly with pale yellow eyes. When the cat caught her gaze, she smiled and made her way to Quickshade who was sitting in her nest. Quickshade smiled at her. "Oh, Pumpkinkit! What a pleasant surprise." she greeted.
"Greetings." Pumpkinkit replied. "So, I came to ask a question: what's it like being a medicine cat?" she asked, before sitting down. Quickshade thought for a moment. "Well..." she paused for a moment. "It's rather eventful. You get cats that are sick or injured, and you have to select the correct herb and that decision could impact a cat's whole life!"
Pumpkinkit's eyes widened. "Whoah... really?!"
Quickshade nodded. "Yes! It's also fun helping out kits, that's my favorite thing to do." she explained. "It's interesting helping young kits with their injuries and... other things, but overall it-"
"I want to be like you!" she exclaimed, beaming.
Quickshade was surprised by her sudden declaration. "Yo-You mean like... be a medicine cat?" she asked. There were a lot of healers, but it was fine. That didn't matter, it would be fun to mentor again. Pumpkinkit nodded. "Yeah!" she happily replied. "Okay I'm gonna go say hi to the deputy now! Buh bye!!" she farewelled before skipping away.
Now out of the nursery, she saw that Duskfeather was leading a patrol out, and she wanted to say something real quick. She skidded to a stop in front of them. "I'm so, so sorry for stopping in front of you Duskfeather, but I just wanted to say that I really admire your amazing deputy skills! It must be hard organizing those patrols though..."

Pheasantkit hated everything.
She hated Blazekit. She hated Marshkit. She hated Bumblekit. She hated Fallowkit. But not Pumpkinkit. Not Pineconekit. And not Bristlekit.
Oh they just made her blood boil. Those four kept on leaving her out of games, just because she wondered what it would be like to be a loner. Since that day she'd been crying about it to Leopardcry, and venting about it to Hawkheart and Cloverfur.
It hurt her. Seeing them tell her: "We don't want you in our game!" "Loner!" "No, go back to the wilderness!" "We don't play with loners!"
Pheasantkit let out a screech, expressing her anger through yelling. Who cared if Leopardcry was gonna scold her. When she confronts her, she's gonna tell her! Tell her about what horrible siblings they are! TELL HER EVERYTHING!
Once her anger venting subsided, she decided to walk outside of the nursery again, when she saw Hawkheart! She loved copying cats, not to make fun of them, but to learn from them! That's who she was gonna copy today! She slowly crept up behind him and started copying his movements and words, kind of like an echo!
She did this for a bit.
It's how she coped.
It's... how she... coped.
She still wanted a better life.

Wildclove
With the war, Wildclove was on edge. He pads along with his patrol mates, ears on high alert. Border patrol was critical these days. Or well more curtail then normal. It was their job to secure the boundary and keep their enemies out- foxes, dogs and most now, Burdockclan Cats. He listens to the sounds of their territory,
He's enough of a warrior to admit he jumps when he hears a long piercing scream, mournful and very very cat-like coming from the thunder-path.
Wildlcove glances at his companions and sets off towards it. Injured cat- or enemy clan or not, the reason Wildclove joined Plumclan was their attitude towards outsiders. If there was any tenant he would uphold it was that.
Reaching the thunder-path, the wails got louder and more coherent. On the side of the road was a cat- curled into a shaking ball and yowling. “Mari….Mari! Please! Mari!” the molly wails, eyes glassy with obvious fever. Wildcloves heart sinks to his paws. He's seen this often from his window. Twolegs leave sick or injured pets on the side of the road when they dont want them anymore. He growls- running up to the poor molly The cat stiffened, not quite looking at the patrol “Mari…?” she pleads. “No” Wildclove presses his nose to the mollys head, wincing at the heat he feels “But-” He hesitates, nodding to Cloverfur and Leopardcry. “We’re here to help” He smiles.
OOC: Wild has some,,,, thoughts..on two-legs. Welcome to the clan Stargazer!

Hawkheart being copped all day! As hawkheart walked out of the warriors den and yawned he walked over to the fresh-kill pile. He noticed pheasantkit behind he and thought nothing of it until the kit started to do everything he did to the T. Hawkheart started to get annoyed and was about to scold the young cat but then he remembered seeing the kit without anyone to play with and he sighed and turned around to looked at the kit "Pheasantkit if you wanted someone to do something with you could have asked." Then he thought of something and said- "How about we do some play fighting together? Would you like that?" Tagging- boragesky (pheasantkit)

"Oh I whould like that!" The kit happyly replied and for the next hour they happyly played and at the end of they're time hawkheart said- "Your fighting skills are almost as good as an apprentice! You'll be a great warrior some day! And I hope you can make up with your littermates cause your going to be stuck with them forever you know!" He said and ruffled the kits head. Then said- "Now I think you should go to sleep now." And lightly pushed the kit towards the nursery. Tagging- boragesky (pheasantkit)

Hatchhusk Herb Gathering - Strange wind The war with BurdockClan had continued, and a fog of paranoia had descended on the camp. Of course, I can’t expect everyone to stay calm as we are forced to look this way and that on our own territory… This morning, he had taken the kits of the clan just out of camp to warn them of the dangers of stinging nettle. To his surprise, they were hardly boisterous, scared straight just by the possibility that a BurdockClan patrol would snatch them away the moment they left camp.
But it can’t be helped. Hatchhusk had other work to do besides lecturing kits, and with the ongoing war, he had to make sure he wasn’t led too close to the border. At least we don’t need an escort… He thought, eyes flashing to the form of Quickshade ahead of him. Hatchhusk was just thinking about how he was the only cat that had any sort of warrior training when he felt something ruffle his fur.
“Ah-!” He yelped, whirling around to find the forest behind him empty of other cats. But the presence kept behind him, ruffling his fur up like a warm wind. But this was no normal wind… it felt familiar and comforting, like a touch of a tail on his shoulder, leading him somewhere. It almost feels like the presence I felt when I found the kits a few moons ago… but more familiar, somehow.
Hatchhusk… Hatchhusk…! The voice whistled through his ears, pushing him away from Quickshade and closer to the Thunderpath. “Who- Havenspots!” Hatchhusk exclaimed, recognizing the sound of his old friend’s voice. His eyes passed down, right over to an almost familiar sight to that of just a few moons ago. A still body hung like a sickening sort of boulder, a late queen concealing her still living kits in her cooling hold.
“Oh stars above…” He breathed, collecting the mewling little scraps in his arms, licking them to warm them up. “More and more orphaned kits… all these queens dying? What does it mean? Are we in danger?” Hatchhusk meowed aloud, taking a moment to look to the sky as if he could ask Havenspots in StarClan himself. It would be a lot more work for Leopardcry and Cherryberri, that’s for sure. But I can’t leave them here. He felt the presence of Havenspots rest on his shoulder. Thank you for leading me here, old friend… they will be loved in PlumClan, just as you were. OOC -- Havenspots works his way back into the plot… it might happen again, to be honest.

Lilacshade with Duskfeather and Forestfreckle Lilacshade wasn’t sure why Burdockclan even bothered to go to gatherings any more. They had some nerve, showing their faces after everything that they’ve done! As they padded into the gathering place, heads high and expressions as smug as ever, Lilacshade hissed, barely restraining herself from unsheathing her claws. “Foxhearts! Cowards! Why don’t you keep your paws on your own territory for once?!” She jeered at them, backed up by Leopardcry. Lilacshade grinned at her, enjoying the passion of the queen. She’s certainly a fine warrior… and she’ll raise kits that’ll defend PlumClan well! When Duskfeather called her out for a hunting patrol, Lilacshade swallowed her grumbling about BurdockClan to anyone who could listen. After all, hunting was a part of clan life, and it couldn’t be forgotten. Even if I’d rather have my claws on a BurdockClan cat than a mouse… The senior warrior trudged at the end of the patrol, keeping her nose open for any prey she could find. Since the war had started, they had to hunt in the interior territory. It was a fact of life that made Lilacshade bristle. How come we have to be looking over our shoulders in our own territory? We should be taking the fight to those foxheart's own territory, since they were the ones who started this war!
Hunting was predictably poor, and Lilacshade only came up with a couple of shrews. Forestfreckle was more resourceful, catching a whole heap of frogs. Those slimy little morsels might not be Lilacshade’s first choice of fresh-kill, but it was better than starving. She bumped her shoulder to the younger warrior with a slight purr. “You’re quite good at that, Forestfreckle… we’ll eat well, at least.”
When she came back to the camp, Lilacshade watched Pheasantkit playfight with Hawkheart. The young kit had seemed to be a lonesome one lately, but it seemed like they were making friends with the warriors early. Well, maybe that’s better than chasing after other annoying kits. She’ll make a fine warrior some day. Lilacshade gave the two a warm purr and Pheasantkit a smile as she passed by. OOC --

Auburncreek Tell’s Apprentices a Border skirmish & Patrol {--} with Beechpaw, Dapplepaw, Thornpaw & Blizzardwing The red bengal molly flicked her tail. The 3 apprentices were gathered around her, their ears twitching at the excitement of a border skirmish. Auburncreek purred, then sat up. “There I was, facing the Burdockclan patrol..” She stared at the apprentices. “I was separated from the rest of the patrol, they were hunting…” She flexed her claws. “3 Burdockclan cats were staring me down, and I knew I couldn’t let them get away with threatening Plumclan.” Auburncreek unsheathed her claws. “So I leaped, and you should have seen me! I slashed and clawed,” She made slashing patterns with her paws, watching the apprentices gaze on her. “They ran fleeing! The cowards ran away, their tail between the paws! I wasn’t even hurt. They won’t bother with Plumclan for a while.” Auburncreek sat back down, her tail over her paws. She remembered she was told to go on a patrol, and wished goodbye to the apprentices.
Auburncreek stopped at the entrance, beckoning the new warrior with her tail. Blizzardwing had graduated not to long ago. “Come on,” She growled under her breath. She led the light furred warrior out of the camp, padding with swift, prideful steps. She flicked her tail crossly, imagining Burdockclan. Her anger for them made the patrol tense, she could feel it. “We need to hunt something.” She flexed her claws, anything she could put them into. She stared at the younger warrior with her unforgiving copper eyes. “Well? Any food for the clan would do us good.” She nodded to Blizzardwing, then walked further, dropping into a quick hunters crouch. It was a long, uneventful hunt. Auburncreek came back to Blizzardwing with only a mouse. She hissed to herself. “This wont feed the clan!” She avoided Blizzardwing’s gaze, and only led the molly back to camp. “Useless.” She growled.

Blizzardwing Patrol (Dew )
All the eyes of the Clan were on Blizzardpaw.
“I do.”
Blizzardpaw knew she was ready. She couldn’t help but hope that Fogshard was watching over her from StarClan. Fawnstar finished speaking, and the entire clan erupted in cheers.
“Blizzardwing, Blizzardwing, Blizzardwing!”
Blizzardwing’s chest puffed out with pride. She had been waiting so many moons for this. Finally. She was a warrior.
As the crowd of cats began to dissolve, Blizzardwing brushed her fur against Cloverfur’s. “Thank you.” She murmured. She couldn’t have done it without the tom. Her mentor. Or, her former mentor.
She had waited so long. So, so long. And now it was finally, finally her turn. This meant everything to her.
Blizzardwing would sit vigil tonight. Would keep watch over the entire Clan. It was her duty to protect them. The weight of her responsibility was heavy on her shoulders as she headed to the apprentice’s den, stopping midway realizing, nope! Blizzardwing would sleep in the warrior’s den. Because she was a warrior. She had to get sleep. Or else she would fall asleep in the middle of her vigil, and then Fawnstar would probably demote her or something. She couldn’t let that happen. She padded into the den. It was time for her to choose a nest. She walked around a bit, before something caught her eye. It wasn’t recently slept in. Some apprentice must not have changed it properly, because it still carried the faintest smell of the previous cat that had occupied the nest. And – she sniffed at it again – it smelled, ever so faintly, like Fogshard. Fogshard. Instantly she knew that that would be her nest.
She curled up in the nest, the smells of her father so close but so far. Slowly, she drifted off to sleep.
No!
Farther, farther...
Blackness.
Blizzardwing woke up. The sun was setting. She knew that it was time for her vigil. Time to protect the Clan. She padded out of the den, and with a word from the deputy, her vigil began. She wasn’t tired. She had slept. She would make it through. Some time passed, her eyes fixed on the camp entrance. The stars twinkled above Blizzardwing. Her mind began to wander.
A warrior. Finally. Her first night as a warrior. Her vigil. She had wanted to be a warrior for so long, ever since she was a little kit, with both her siblings- Oh, not this again. She didn’t have freaking siblings! She was a single kit!
When would Amberdapple be back? It was the night of her half moon meeting. Surely StarClan would give her answers. Blizzardwing desperately wanted to know what was wrong with her. But, she thought, even if she did come back soon, I wouldn’t be able to talk to her ‘cuz, “silent” vigil.
So she waited. Silverpelt shone above her. She gazed at the stars. Maybe one of them is Fogshard. She hoped he was there, watching her. A sound startled her, but she realized it was just someone from the warriors’ den snoring. Hopefully she fell asleep before that cat did tomorrow night, else she would have a hard time falling asleep.
There was a light breeze blowing through Blizzardwing’s fur. It was quite boring sitting there, but she reminded herself that all new warriors had their vigil, and that it was an honor to protect her Clan like this.
As she sat there, she ran her new name through her head. Blizzardwing, Blizzardwing, Blizzardwing. She loved it. And it was hers. All hers. For the rest of her life, she’d be Blizzardwing. She was proud of it. Proud of herself.
In the morning, she headed towards the warriors den. She was tired. There was no-one else in there, and Blizzardwing fell asleep quickly. She didn’t have any dreams, or nightmares, thank StarClan.
When she woke up, she padded to the medicine den. Surely StarClan had spoken to Amberdapple. Told her who Blizzardwing was.
“Come on.”
The voice startled the white molly, but she recognized it as Auburncreek. Right. She had to go on a patrol. Her first patrol as a warrior.
“Coming!”
Blizzardwing followed Auburncreek out of camp. She could see the rage coming off of the flame coloured warrior in waves.
“We need to hunt something.”
Yes. They needed to hunt. Blizzardwing would not mess up her first patrol as a warrior.
“Well? Any food for the clan would do us good.”
Auburncreek nodded at Blizzardwing before walking away.
Blizzardwing turned. She slowly walked through the forest, looking for any sign of prey. A leaf crunched behind her. She swung around - BurdockClan? But no, she realized too late that it was a mouse. Fox dung!
And then she picked up a smell. Another mouse. She dropped into the hunter’s crouch and crept towards it... and then pounced. But what if... No! She missed it by a claw-length. BurdockClan. Why couldn’t they just leave PlumClan in peace? But... it was her fault, she realized with a sudden pang. She had pointed out the rabbit that got Lilacshade caught, and probably started the war. It was her fault. No, no, no, no! The world spun. She did it. Blizzardwing did it. No.
The hunt continued in this fashion. Find prey, miss prey. And by the time they regrouped, Blizzardwing had caught nothing, and Auburncreek only a mouse. Auburncreek hissed something that Blizzardwing didn’t hear. Blizzardwing had failed her first patrol.

Leopardcry Patrol, Teases Forestfreckle & Basks in Sun with Cherriberry {--} with Wildclove, Cloverfur, Forestfreckle & Cherriberry The sand colored molly started the day out well. Her first-born kit had been made a warrior only so long before. Leopardcry had made sure to be the first to congratulate Blizzardwing. She was now full grown. Leopardcry thought to herself. And so much like her father. She sighed to herself, Fogshard was gone. She shook the thoughts from her head, remembering he would be peaceful in Starclan. She looked at her kits, playing together. What beautiful warriors they would become, just like Blizzardwing. Leopardcry knew she wasn’t the most active mother to her first kit. However the molly knew she would be better for her new litter. She flicked her tail, then found herself staring at the patrol that had entered camp. She eyed them warily, seeing Forestfreckle. She wrinkled her nose at the sight of what the young molly was holding. A toad! Leopardcry scoffed. She padded to the young warrior, hissing. Did she have any respect for her clan? “Let me guess, you missed to catch a single mouse?” She flicked her ears pridefully. “All you could bring for your clan is worthless toads?” She growled, but she was interrupted by someone calling her name. She looked to see Wildclove and Cloverfur at the entrance. She gave a final hiss to Forestfreckle, then turned to her patrolmates.
Leopardcry followed the patrol out of camp. She caught up to Cloverfur. Wildclove was a former kittypet, Leopardcry reminded herself. “If I see even a whisker of a BurdockClan cat, I’ll tear them to shreds.” She hissed, the anger from Forestfreckle still lingering under her fur. She sniffed the air. She smelt blood. She saw Wildclove run into the bushes, and Leopardcry give a final look to Cloverfur, before turning to follow the two cats. “Wildclove! Where are you going?” She growled, before coming to an abrupt stop. Below them, was a sickly cat next to the thunder path. “Mari!” The cat yowled, but Wildclove seemed to have it covered. “We’re here to help.” The tom purred. The sand colored molly was going to say something, but she looked to her patrol who was already helping pick up the sickly molly. Did the clan really need more outsiders? It felt like there was no Plumclan blood left.
Wildclove was with the sickly cat when Leopardcry had returned to camp. She saw Cherriberry, still suffering from her injuries, sitting in front of the nursery. Leopardcry sat down beside Cherriberry, giving her a swift lick between the ears. She looked up to Cherriberry, she was such a great mother. And so kind, Leopardcry told herself. She flicked her tail over Cherriberry’s back and the two lied down in the suns warm rays. The two mollies gossiped with eachother, sharing tongues and talking about their kits. [[ bruv they are so cute together tho- ]]

Golddusk-Patrol with Rindlestripe and Duststep, running nose had cleared up It was a sunny afternoon when he, Rindlestripe, and Duststep were out on patrol. His runny nose had finally cleared up and Golddusk no longer felt sick. With the spring weather as pleasant as it was today, one would think the patrol will be more calm and peaceful. However, the war still rages on. Golddusk couldn’t tell where the border between Plumclan and Burdockclan begins and ends due to the border scent being all muddled up. His ears were alert and his eyes scanned the surroundings around him, keeping an eye out for any battle patrols. The border being messed up makes him more nervous than he wants to admit. Not that it helps that there are a lot of bushes around them. A battle patrol from Burdockclan could easily hide anywhere here… Golddusk thought grimly to himself. It was far too easy for Golddusk to imagine enemy claws and teeth bursting forth from one of the bushes. He shook his head to clear his mind. Golddusk mustn’t allow himself to start worrying about a battle that hadn’t happened yet. None of the bushes smell of Burdockclan and as far as he knew, there are no signs of cats here other than the patrol itself. He took a quick glance at his clanmates, wondering if they feel just as nervous as he felt. He flinched at a shadow that he briefly thought was a Burdockclan cat but then he realized that there wasn’t any cat there. Feeling slightly embarrassed, he kept walking with his patrol. So far, so good. lazzylake 𝚌𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚌𝚕𝚞𝚎

Duststep Border patrol with Rindlestripe and Golddusk | Feels happy to be patrolling with Golddusk (++rom)
It feels like half my time now is just spent on border patrol after border patrol, Duststep mused as she made her way along the edge of the river. As bored as she was, like any other patrol, she had to be on high alert; a Burdockclan patrol could ambush them at any moment. She kept a close eye on the bushes across the river, and whenever they passed by a possible crossing point on the river she felt her tail prickle in fear. She could imagine it now; the humble Plumclan patrol surrounded by a horde of angry Burdockclan cats, doing their best to fight back but outnumbered and caught off guard. She slowed her anxious speed-walk to match her clanmates' pace. Getting all worked up over hypothetical scenarios will get me nowhere, she thought, exhaling. They hadn't seen any sign of Burdockclan yet. The afternoon sun shone bright overhead, and a pleasant breeze rippled through her coarse fur. It was a nice day, and she was glad to be here, with the company of her clanmates, defending her clan. She looked back at Golddusk, smiling shyly when their gazes met. She was glad to be patrolling with him, especially; they had grown up together, and she felt that he was her closest friend within Plumclan. I wonder if he feels the same way about me? She tried not to make it obvious that she was staring at him, analyzing his expressions to try to figure out what he was thinking about her, but he seemed preoccupied with the focus of the patrol. Feeling her face warm under her pelt, she looked away, embarassed. Recently, she had felt the same way around him as she had with that Flowerclan cat at the gathering last summer, the one Fawnstar had teased her about. What did she say back then again, didn't she ask me if I thought he was pretty? Do I think Golddusk is pretty? Sneaking another glance at the other warrior, watching the way his long fur flowed in the breeze and his hazel eyes shone in the sunlight like rocks in a shallow river, she had to admit she did.

Duskfeather- Hunting with Lilacshade and Forestfreckle/Is embarrassed when Pumpkinkit compliments him With the war in full effect, hunting on the outskirts of the territory would be too dangerous. They would have to move their hunting grounds on the interior. Duskfeather called Lilacshade and Forestfreckle to go hunting with him today. However, before he could leave camp, he was ambushed by Pumpkinkit. "I'm so, so sorry for stopping in front of you Duskfeather, but I just wanted to say that I really admire your amazing deputy skills! It must be hard organizing those patrols though..." Duskfeather could feel the embarrassment rushing in. He learned a lot of younger cats admired and looked up to him, like Duststep said last moon. He was proud to be a role model for so many clan mates, even during war. “I am honored that you look up to me, Pumpkinkit. One day, you might be clan deputy, and organizing patrols could be your responsibility. It’s a lot to keep track of, but it’s worth it.” He gave the kit a smile and walked of. Of course, fresh kill wasn’t as plentiful as before, so Duskfeather had to get creative. Frogs were a type of prey PlumClan never hunted. Too slimy and sticky, they left a gross sensation in his throat. Their clan only fed on actual food! Until today, where they had to make an exception. Reluctantly, Duskfeather led his patrol mates to the pond. He started by stalking around for some stray mice or shrews. The air was warm, but it did not bare any scent of prey. Eventually he spotted a vole not too far away. Carefully, he approached it and pounced at the right moment. It wasn’t much, but it was all he could catch on land. It seemed Lilacshade had similar luck to him. He looked over to see that Forestfreckle had actually started searching for frogs. And she was surprisingly good at it too. He hadn’t remembered many frogs in the fresh kill pile before, but Duskfeather was impressed with the young molly’s handy skill. Taking some inspiration from the younger warrior, Duskfeather stalked by the water. He noticed a frog hiding in the mud. They were tricky critters to catch; having a mighty leap and good swimming skills. He waited for the frog to look away, when he tried to jump in for a killing bite. Unfortunately, the animal saw him coming and jumped into the deeper, murkier waters. He would have to try again. This time, his target would be on hiding in the grass near the water. It seemed to be doing some hunting of its own, catching flies. Duskfeather approached from the water, so that it couldn’t retreat there. It didn’t see the claw swipe coming, and the deputy had secured 1 more piece of prey. At the end of the hunt, Forestfreckle was the clear winner. She had a knack for this, it looked like. It would be useful in the future too. Not that we’ll be eating frogs after the war ends, but useful for any future wars. Lilacshade congratulated her and Duskfeather chimed in as well. “Definitely. The clan is lucky to have you around in these tough times.” The three returned to camp. Tagging asrise tigersdoroar boragesky

Fallowkit sat naming birds while sitting in the warm sun. As Amberdapple passed, Fallowkit nodded politely. She wondered about what it was like as a bird, being free to go as she pleased. Thats a big bird! She thought almost mistaking it for a hawk (which it was NOT it's just a big bird)
