Auburncreek Thinks she smells BurdockClan on their side of the border, Patrol {--} with Duskfeather, Lilacshade Auburncreek stalked ahead, she and Lilacshade both knew that they would throw themselves into battle if they even saw a whisker of a Burdockclan cat. She guessed that’s why Duskfeather came with them on a patrol. Although, Auburncreek wondered if he would protect his borders too with the fiercest strength the two mollies had. This was the first time Auburncreek was in war with another clan. It filled her with determination and courage to defeat BurdockClan. However, it was early new-leaf, and the rain had already made her bengal fur stick to her skin. She shook out her fur, annoyed by the rain drenching her. The ground underneath her was sticky and the mud was up to her paws. She could feel her paws making marks in the mud, and as she heard Lilacshade immediately pause, and she could see her fur bristle. She called out, “Stop!” Auburncreek felt her pelt tingle with excitement of the thought of an intruder, her claws unsheathing, until she saw Lilacshade stare down at her pawprints. Auburncreek let out a mrrow of amusement, and purred when Lilacshade continued. “What would we do without you to protect us!” The young molly teased, flicking her ears at Lilacshade.
She looked forward to see BurdockClan’s border. The mouse-brains. She raised her head, the scents mingled with the newleaf rain. She stepped forward, sniffing the ground. She could swear she could smell the scents on their side of the border. “I can smell BurdockClan on our side of the border. They must be stealing our prey again!” She huffed, turning to face the older warriors. “If I was leading the patrol, I would say we should go show them PlumClan doesn’t back down. We should steal prey back!” She hissed to Duskfeather and Lilacshade. Leopardcry Buried under a mound of kittens {--} with Marshkit, Bumblekit, Pumpkinkit, Fallowkit & Blazekit Leopardcry stared at her kittens, her eyes full of pride as she watched them play together. Leopardcry still hadn’t fully recovered from birth, and as she watched her kits play, she knew it was worth it. She called them closer to her, determined to be a great mother for her full litter. She looked at her two toms, Blazekit and Bumblekit, who looked so much like her, and Fallowkit, Pumpkinkit and Marshkit her mollies, who resembled their father. “I bet I could give all of you a badger ride!” She purred, lowering her back, as she felt the 5 tiny kits scramble onto her fur, their tiny claws digging into her back. She let out a mrrow of amusement as she made massive movements with her paws, resembling a badger walking as her kits mewed and yowled with excitement. She eventually dropped to the ground, being tangled with her kits while climbing over her as she was begged for another badger ride. She looked at them with exhaustion, 5 kits was a lot more work than just one! She shook her head, purring, then settled into her nest, being buried under a mould of her very own kittens while she flicked her tail for them to play with. These were her kits. They were future warriors. They needed to get all the experience they could ever possibly need. Tags

Beechkit - With Lilacshde
"Look at me! I'm a fierce Plumclan warrior!" Beechkit proclaimed from atop Lilacshade. He then jumped off her back and onto the ground where he dropped into a crouch and playfully batted at her legs. He then attempted to leap onto her again, leaping at her shoulder. He was able to get his front legs up but his back two were left scrambling to get up. "Uh, a little help?" he asked Lilacshade, turning his head to face her.

Duskfeather- BurdockClan declares war on PlumClan/Patrol with Lilacshade and Auburncreek/Was distracted when Quickshade was trying to tell him something important It was a Gathering like no other at first. Everything seemed fine, and the leaders started to speak. Fawnstar announced the recent loss of Havenspots and Dapplestar of YewClan announced a new healer in their ranks, named Flax. Then, the BurdockClan leader started to speak. They started to rant about how they caught a PlumClan patrol stealing prey on their side of the border. The audacity of these cats! They steal prey from us all the time. But their leader continued to talk, maddened and hateful, until they uttered the words Duskfeather had been dreading for moons now. “If you refuse to control your warriors, then we declare war on PlumClan!” No… Could this really be happening? PlumClan was a peaceful clan! They hadn’t been in a war for years. Cats of the two clans hissed at one another up until the end of the Gathering. Upon arriving back at camp, Duskfeather knew he had to prepare for war. BurdockClan could attack at any time. There was no time to waste. The border must be patrolled at least three times a day, just to be safe. The medicine cats should always have a steady supply of herbs to heal combat injuries. And all of the apprentices’ training should be shifted towards fighting training. He was so distracted by all of the preparations, that he couldn’t even pay attention when Quickshade, the old healer, went up to him to tell him about… well he wasn’t listening he wasn’t sure. “Sorry, Quickshade. I’m kind of busy right now.” A few days past, and Duskfeather decided to go on one of said patrols towards the border. Together with him were Lilacshade and Auburncreek, both capable fighters who would defend their clan, no doubt about it. However, Duskfeather also wanted to monitor them, make sure they don’t spill any unnecessary blood. As they walked, Lilacshade exclaimed “Stop!”. The deputy turned around in a flash. “What is it? Do you smell BurdockClan scent?” Lilacshade proceeded to follow some pawprints that lead her… right to Auburncreek. Duskfeather was relieved, but also a bit irritated. How could a warrior her age mistake her clan mates’ pawprints for an enemy’s? “Alert us if you see anything else”. “I can smell BurdockClan on our side of the border. They must be stealing our prey again! If I was leading the patrol, I would say we should go show them PlumClan doesn’t back down. We should steal prey back!“ Auburncreek said while turning towards Duskfeather. Was she questioning his authority? Duskfeather hissed at her. Just because she was Fawnstar’s daughter did not mean she could talk to the deputy with such a lack of respect. “And that is why you are not leading this patrol. I want to stand up for my clan just as much as you, but challenging BurdockClan would only prolong the war. We want to spill as little blood as possible on both sides.” He could understand where she was coming from, but she should understand that Duskfeather knew what he was doing. He trotted ahead of the two mollys, but remembered to turn around and add “I will make sure that the terms of peace will not be unfavorable for PlumClan. Now we should mark our border with stronger scents.” Tagging asrise polarized ivypool4life

Forestfreckle .*❁ ________________________________________________________________________________________________* Basks in the sun
Forestfreckle sat on a dark, smooth stone that lay just outside of the ruined two-leg nest that Plumclan called home. It was still early, and the sun was just peeking over the horizon, but she let the star's warm fingers work their way slowly into her fur. The stone was cold, but the sun warmer, and she relished the rays on her fur. She was glad that leafbare was finally over. The she-cat sighed and closed her eyes, using this moment of peace to meditate on the events that leafbare had brought. She began to count.
Four moons ago, I became a warrior early! Forestfreckle smiled as she remembered the start of the ceremony. Both her and Havenspots had excelled in their training, and it had been suggested to Fawnstar that they receive their warrior names a moon earlier than usual. Things had been so easy then... so wonderful. The she-cat remembered the clan's cheers as she had graduated from Forestpaw to Forestfreckle, honored by her mother for her sense of strategy. Forestfreckle loved the name, and she felt that it fit her well. As she had grown, so had the speckling on her tortoiseshell pelt. She was dappled and speckled from head to toe, a different part of her body adequately representing the patches of color that were spattered across the orchard forest during each season.
Four moons ago we were Forestfreckle, Havenspots, and.... Forestfreckle let her eyes open and drift to the ground as she remembered her sister's anger. Prior to her naming ceremony, Forestfreckle had feared that Auburnpaw would fall behind, but she had not prepared for the opposite to occur. Forestfreckle had understood her sisters anger, and had made sure to spend time helping her succeed despite their mother's decision to separate their ceremonies.
Four moons ago, I almost died. Forestfreckle recounted the windy patrol she had been on with Golddusk and Duststep. That day, the wind had ripped a branch from an orchard tree and it had nearly crushed her. Luckily, she had heard the groans of the limb being separated from the trunk, and she had leaped out of the way just in time.
Three moons ago, Auburnpaw became Auburncreek! Forestfreckle had been so proud! Her sister hadn't fallen behind after all, and had been given her name on time. She had been so proud, and had chanted Aurburncreek's name louder than any other cat. Auburncreek had worked hard to become a warrior, and despite some tension in the clan, she had deserved the honor of become a warrior. Forestfreckle was still proud of her, and she closed her eyes again, relishing the memories of times when her and her siblings had been warriors together.
Three moons ago, I encountered my first dog. The young she-cat scrunched her nose at the memory. She had been on patrol with Lilacshade and Daisytuft, and Lilacshade had taken the lead. Forestfreckle had been glad, because the sight of the dog had shaken her, even if it had been on the other side of the border.
Two moons ago, I met a Flowerclan cat! This was a sweet memory for Forestfreckle. She had just been doing as she was doing now, daydreaming on the stones of the Stone Wall, when a Flowerclan tom had approached her. The two had chatted into the night, and Forestfreckle was pretty sure she had been seen with him, but it's not like any cat in Plumclan minded.
Two moons ago, prey had been hard to come by. Forestfreckle remember the frustration and the hunger that had racked her brain and belly. Finding prey during hunting patrols had gotten successively harder as leafbare had drawn on, and the clan had suffered.
One moon ago, my brother was lost. Forestfreckle caught a sob in her throat. She was scared to let the memories escape, but she needed to let them out. This was how she coped. She opened her mind and shut her eyes harder as the memories and tears flowed. The she-cat clawed the rock she was atop as she began to see it all again. That day. That stupid day. She had been out hunting late on her own for the clan. Something she should have never been doing in such a heavy snow. She had searched high and low, and only returned to camp late in the day with a small blackbird, which she had promptly dropped and trampled into the snow at the sight of what had lay before her in the abandoned two-leg den. It had been her family. One caring for the clan, one refusing to leave another's side, and one lying limp in the snow.
One moon ago, I questioned Starclan and clan life. Forestfreckle had rushed forward to join her kin and clan that night, unsure of what to do or how to feel. She was sad, confused, and angry, but Auburncreek had stirred up her feelings of anger more than anything else. At the time, Forestfreckle had thought it was the clan's fault. Why hadn't Wildclove or Golddusk done anything? What about the clan's healers? There had been so many that could've done something to heal him surely. Then, as Forestfreckle had learned how Havenspots had passed, she had begun to fall even further into anger. This exact event had happened four moons ago! Couldn't Golddusk have used his prior experience to warn Havenspots? Couldn't the medicine cats have seen an omen in Forestfreckle's near death event? Surely it had been a sign to Plumclan when she had almost been crushed by that branch all those moons ago. Forestfreckle had been sure that it was an omen that the medicine cats had missed, and she had spent the next day uncharacteristically questioning Quickshade about omens. Surely somebody had noticed? Perhaps Starclan just didn't care about Plumclan's younger warriors and was trying to replace them with a younger batch of kits? The clan had certainly been, and still was overrun with young cats.
This moon, I will learn how to deal with grief. The she-cat opened her eyes and stared at the now blue sky of morning, her breath escaping her in a sigh instead of a sob. She knew it wasn't the clan or Starclan's fault that Havenspots had died. That was just the life of a warrior. She had forgiven Wildclove, Golddusk, Quickshade, and all of the other healers. There had been no way that any of them could have helped in reality. The branch had been too fast, the death too swift. It had taken Forestfreckle awhile, but she was starting to move on, and she was hoping spring would bring better memories. Counting through her memories helped her realize that there was always good with the bad, and with Burdockclan declaring war at the last gathering, the remainder of the moon was due to give her and Plumclan good memories.
Finally ready to take on the day, Forestfreckle hopped gracefully off of her rock and padded into camp. She was ready for whatever the day brought her.

Duststep Border patrol with Fawnstar and Golddusk | Covered for Rindlestripe on patrol
If the snow had been bad, the drizzle wasn't much better, but the weather wasn't even close to the worst thing Plumclan had gone through in the last couple of moons. Duststep's paws ached as she trudged through the muddy orchard towards the border; she was tired, this being the second patrol she'd been on today after a quick hunt early this morning. But she just had to offer to cover for Rindlestripe when she saw him about to set out with that look in his eyes. He just lost his former apprentice, after all. I can't begin to imagine how he must feel. As the patrol neared the river border, she could make out, even through the thick scent of rain, that of Burdockclan. Immediately, she was incensed, her bad mood multiplying tenfold; Plumclan is already having a miserable enough moon, and now those pricks have the gall to think they can just waltz over here and steal our prey? Duststep stalked along the water's edge, her tail lashing angrily behind her. "It's everywhere, not just on the bank. I can't believe they'd start a war because we're supposedly stealing their prey and then they continue to do this!" she complained aloud.
Near where the scent was strongest, she spotted several large stones that seemed to be firmly anchored in the river despite the rushing water flowing around them. "This must be what they're using to get across. You know what? If they're going to start fights because they think we're trespassing, I might as well prove them right." She didn't even glance back at Fawnstar for confirmation before hopping across the stones onto Burdockclan's side. She rubbed along the plants and trees near the bank to spread her scent, making sure to track muddy pawprints that had clearly come from the other side all over the rocks on Burdockclan's side of the river as she did.
Snuck around the orchard to watch Twolegs
Weaving through the trees absentmindedly, Duststep made her way through the orchard towards the farmhouse. With the plum trees having begun to flower recently, it had gotten her thinking about the twolegs that took care of the orchard. She didn't understand them much; watching them harvest the plums in leaf-fall was basically the extent of her interactions with them, and she didn't even know what they did with the fruit. Every year, once the trees had been made bare of fruit, she would watch the fallen plums on the ground rot away into nothing over the moon; there was no way that the few twolegs living there were able to eat all the fruit she watched them collect. And what do they do all day? I never see them hunt or patrol. It must be such a boring existence staying in that little farmhouse for so much time every day. I could never be a twoleg. Cautiously, she hopped up onto the fence of the garden behind the house and peered through the window. She could see many foreign objects inside, but what caught her eye was the young twoleg sat on the floor, waving around some strange brightly coloured objects with more resting on the floor in front of it. Crouched on the fence, she watched the twoleg curiously as it played, though she remained on high alert and ready to sprint back into the orchard if a twoleg exited the house.
OOC: I feel like I only ever RP her thinking to herself during patrols so I figured I would just put this out here in case anyone else wants to interact :)

Pineconekit
⸙ is annoying Duskfeather ⸙ is impressed by Marshkit's cleverness ᓚᘏᗢ - Marshkit & Duskfeather
"I think it's best to leave most of the big warriors alone— so they can grieve." This sentence remained plastered in Pineconekit's mind. Cloverfur's words turned from days to a moon, tragedy after tragedy raking through the Clan without mercy, without cease or remorse.
The sudden amount of death in the kit's short life was impacting her tremendously and molding her in ways she is yet to understand. To be surrounded by constant grief and stress was taking its toll and she was finding herself with racing thoughts and somber mood almost constantly lately.
Pineconekit sat with her head on her little paws, eyeing the nest where Carnationkit used to sleep with a solemn expression. She reminisced on playing mossball with her and talking about becoming apprentices together, tears gathering in the corners of her eyes.
With one sharp inhale, the she-kit's mood swang, her feelings of depression gave way to a hot feeling of rage. Her tears vanished and claws unsheathed, her fur bristling on her back, feeling a rage that was almost agonizing.
"How could this happen? How could this happen to Carnationkit and Havenspots and Fogshard too? If only I were bigger maybe I could have done something!" The she-kit yowled and batted at the moss below her in a fit of frustration, scattering the bits across the nursery and straight into Marshkit.
Marshkit hissed and winced at the moss, more startled than hurt. "Why don't you go ask Duskfeather to train you some, genius? Instead of bothering me." The grouchy kit rolled over and said no more, muttering some insults under her breath. She was clearly being affected too— or maybe that's just Marshkit.
Pineconekit was not a hair insulted by Marshkit's harshness but delighted at the wonderful idea she proposed. "You're right, who better to ask than Duskfeather to help out the Clan? You're so clever, you know that?" She purred and jumped up from her moss nest, leaving it in disarray.
Pineconekit bounded out of the nursery, feeling an ambition and heroism that boosted her speed and made her little heart pump with adrenaline. She caught sight of Duskfeather and yelled his name, not at all taking in an inch of the clearing or her surroundings. She halted into him with a thump— straight into his legs, heavy breathing and mewing nonstop.
"Duskfeather, I was thinking— you're the deputy and I've been feeling really helpless lately watching everyone so sad and watching cats die and I am just a little kit who isn't an apprentice yet but I thought ' well Duskfeather is the deputy and he would know —' well actually, Marshkit, it was her idea for me to come ask you to train me! If you trained me then I could defend the Clan and save everycat and make everycat stay alive for as long as possible. I could save another kit from a hawk or fight the biggest dog in the woods, I could do anything if you helped me! Will you help me? Let me help the Clan, I will be the greatest warrior you've ever seen!"

Golddusk-Border patrol with Duststep and Fawnstar It was a harsh moon for the clan. Plumclan had lost not only Fogshard, but also Carnationkit as well. As if that wasn’t bad enough already, Burdockclan had declared a war against them. Golddusk shook his fur free of rainwater. It had been raining constantly today, making the patrol more unpleasant than it should have been. He slowed to a stop when he noticed a scent of a rival clan on their side of the border. Burdockclan! Golddusk angrily thought to himself, his fur bristling. He remembered when he and his patrol caught two of Burdockclan’s warriors stealing prey and how they chased them across the border a couple of moons ago. How dare they declare war on them over supposedly stolen prey when they themselves had been stealing prey from them? He noticed Duststep’s tail lash in anger and guessed that she must have noticed the scent as well. Sure enough, he heard her pointing out how the scent was all over their side of the border and not just on the bank. Golddusk nodded in agreement with her. “They’ve stolen prey from us before. Burdockclan accuses us of stealing prey when they’ve done the very thing they’re starting a war over!” Golddusk told Duststep angrily. He watched as Duststep hopped over the boulders onto Burdockclan’s side of the border, spreading the scent of Plumclan into the plants and trees. He took a quick glance at Fawnstar before following Duststep across the Burdockclan border. He too started to rub his scent on the trees and the plants like how Duststep had been doing. If Burdockclan is going to trespass on Plumclan territory during a war, then it’s only fair that Plumclan gets to do the same to Burdockclan! ——— Golddusk-Has a coughing fit after inhaling a feather! It was a long day of patrolling today. Golddusk, feeling hungry, wanted to eat something from the fresh kill pile. He walked up to it and then picked up a bird. He carried it over to a quieter part of camp where he can eat in peace. He started eating the bird quickly when suddenly, he felt something tickling the back of his throat! He started coughing a lot, trying to get rid of the feather he just accidentally inhaled! After he was done coughing, he looked around sheepishly. Had any cat noticed the coughing fit he just had? He hoped not. Feathertalon 𝚌𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚌𝚕𝚞𝚎

Auburncreek Hopes Quickshade knows how grateful she is that she’s a healer {--} with Quickshade The recent deaths in the clan had shook Auburncreek to the bone. She wasn’t the molly to show her emotions, but as she remembered the recent patrols, in which she had tried to forget her grief about Havenspots had ultimately made her feel worse. It was a moon after his death, and the clan is now in a war. It was if she could almost imagine her brother beside her, probably chattering to the warriors or something, she purred to herself. She paused when she remembered how it had all happened. A tree branch. Auburncreek had remembered a story about Nightpaw, an apprentice who had fallen to the same fate. It wasn’t fair for Starclan to take a cat so young. Havenspots was a great fighter, and when they were apprentices, Auburncreek couldn’t wait for their next sparring session. She sighed, shaking her head. Even her mother and Forestfreckle had seemed to got over their grief. Auburncreek will always remember Havenspots. In any way she could.
She padded over to the other side of camp, where she saw Quickshade in the healer’s den. It was strange. Auburncreek wasn’t the cat to make relationships so easily, other than her kin. However, she had found refuge in the older healer in her kithood, and then in her apprenticeship. She had shared stories of her day in the nursery to Quickshade. When she had gotten heat stroke and had to stay in the healers den at the start of her apprenticeship, watching her littermates train, Quickshade had come up with new ways to help her practise her skills. Auburncreek purred to herself as she felt the memories flooding in her head. She nodded to the medicine cat, hoping she understood how grateful she was that she was a healer for Plumclan. At least she isn’t scared of helping someone, Auburncreek told herself with a hiss, remembering Hatchhusk at Havenspot’s death. What is a healer that can’t handle death!

Wildclove
Leafbare was finally over and Wildclove couldn't be happier. Gentle sunlight snakes down though the bare branches in the orchard and makes patterns on the ground. Dead grass pokes up through the melted snow. Prey runs new as they emerge from their dens. The tabby can feel soft patterns of ice water drip onto his ears He should be relaxing- not scrambling up a tree away from a dog.
Not a small yappy one, but a large snapping beast, nipping at their tails. He clings to a branch, jerking his tail out of the way with his hair on end. He glances around at his patrol-mates on what to do. Just how in the name of Starclan could he be so unlucky!

Cloverfur Runny nose is gone, Feels overworked & Lets Pheasantkit whine about her runny nose to him and sympathizes with her (+++) || with Pheasantkit Cloverfur had woken up this morning to find his nose free of the mucus that had been lounging in there the moon prior. I had come at a slight shock, all the scents had overwhelmed him for a moment before he regained himself and continued on with his day. Despite having slept in slightly because of the gathering last night, Cloverfur still felt tired and tense. The war declaration had put every cat on edge, but even more than that, Cloverfur felt worn down to the bone. He didn't really want to fight the cats of Burdockclan, in his mind it making more sense to settle it with a few mindful words. Both clans had stolen prey from the other, why would they just promise not to do it again? Pride.
But it wasn't just the war that was wearing on Cloverfur. It was Blizzardpaw too. Blizzardpaw wasn't a bad apprentice, but he didn't want to have another apprentice, ast least not yet. He would have happily taken on of the kits in Cherriberry's litter to train, but getting Blizzardpaw right after Havenspots graduated was just too much. He didn't have enough time to focus on his own growth and relationships, which was something he missed from when he didn't have an apprentice.
Heading over to the nursery, which is something he tried to do almost everyday, he had greeted by Pheasantkit, who complained about her own runny nose. Cloverfur felt a twinge of guilt, he must have given it to her last moon when he had visited the nursery!
"Oh no! I'm sorry! I had a runny nose last moon too, so I totally understand you, they are so annoying. It makes it really hard to scent things and hide from other creatures right? Because you're always sniffing?" [[watch him get another apprentice right after Blizzardpaw graduates 🤣 this guy needs a limit apprentice toggle ]] Cloverfur Training patrol || with Blizzardpaw There had been two deaths this moon, both of them young cats. The first had happened in camp, when Carnationkit had been carried off by a hawk. It had been a shock to every cat who had been there, because how had a hawk spotted their cat, and why had no cat tried to stop it? The second had been Fogshard, Blizzardpaw's father. He had also been a younger warrior. And then there was the war with Burdockclan. He didn't want to think about it, but he knew that he must.
Bringing Blizzardpaw to the training hollow, Cloverfur thought over his lesson plan. He had originally been thinking about doing battle training, but the circumstances didn't seem right. Blizzardpaw already knew how to defend herself, and he hoped that Fawnstar wouldn't send her into battle anyways.
A new idea propped into his head, and he leaped on that. "Today we are going to focus more on how to talk to other warriors, not fight them. I know that we are at war with Burdockclan right now, but we won't always be, and I think that every cat should know how to communicate their emotions through words, not claws.I'll demonstrate. You will be a Burdockclan warrior, and I'll introduce myself."
Cloverfur exhaled, then padded over to Blizzardpaw. "Hello, my name is Cloverfur, how are you doing?" He asked her. If the cats of Plumclan and Burdockclan were just nicer to each other, maybe they wouldn't be at war in the first place! Maybe if they had spent more time doing their own duties in their own clans rather than shout insults at the other of steal each others prey, this wouldn't be an issue.

(On mobile so no pretty replies :frun:)
Currentkit - Saves Bristlekit some of her prey, remembering what Bristlekit's favorite was (+++), knows Bumblekit will make a great clanmate one day
Currentkit couldn’t help but notice the extra layer of sadness and frustration that had settle on the camp lately, as well as anger in some other cats. She was now old enough to understand what the bodies that lay in the clearing were, the bodies of her fallen clanmates. However, this did not damper her mood. She was to be an apprentice soon! Cherriberry hadn’t left the nursery yet, so she didn’t bring fun stories of the outside world, but Leopardcry had some as well as Cloverfur. Cloverfur visited the nursery almost everyday to visit his kits, and that included her and her littermates sometimes as well.
Maybe if I’m well behaved, Fawnstar will make me an apprentice early! With this thought in mind, Currentkit left the nursery and stared around the camp, trying to think of ideas. Spotting a warrior dropping some prey off at the fresh-kill pile, Currentkit made her way that way and looked in. The contents were a pawful of mice and some squirrels, as well as some prey she forgot what were called. Remembering that Bristlekit really liked mice, Currentkit picked one up and went back over to the nursery, where she knew most of the kits would be.
“Hey Bristlekit! I brought you a squirrel for you to share with your siblings!” Currentkit dropped the squirrel at Bristlekit’s paws, and after the she-kit thanked her went to go share with her and some of Leopardcry’s kits, including Bumblekit. Currentkit liked Bumblekit, and knew he would be a good warrior one day. She could already see it in the way he was careful with the other kits. But he won’t be as good as me! Currentkit padded away, feeling proud.

PHEASANTKIT [ Is whining after rough-housing too hard with the other kits - A Friendly One ] " Can I be King of The Castle if I'm out of the game? " (Vulture Culture by Fangclub)
Pheasantkit gave a worried look to the other kits. Especially Blazekit. Apparently she... accidentally went a little too hard on them while playing and was scolded by Leopardcry about it. She muttered to herself for a bit, before being done with blowing off steam.
For the next hour, Pheasantkit did some helpful things. She said hello back to Cloverfur after he greeted her, and even assisted Hawkheart in a few things. After that bit, she felt a bit more content. She sat there for a moment, watching as the clouds passed. Then, her eyes caught on a certain cat.
A certain medium-furred red bengal cat if you will.
This was the first time Pheasantkit had ever properly seen Auburncreek. She got up and quietly, started following her around. Also copying some of her movements as well. Pheasantkit liked the spunky vibes she got from Auburncreek. She smiled to herself.
I want to be like her! she thought.
[ OOC - I'm genuinely curious if Pheasantkit is actually okay. Also, yeah I'm also looking out for any other relationship things regarding Pheasantkit, so I added them here! ]

Wildclove
Herb gathering with: Jamilah - open
After the moons he’s had, when Jamilah approaches him to help her gather herbs he jumps at it. Its new-leaf meaning the herbs are just sprouting up “They’re fresh!” Jamilah had said “best time to get them” The war hanging over their heads makes having a large store of herbs critical, even in this drizzle. So the pair heads out, Wildclove on alert for any prey-stealing Burdock-furs around. They chat as Jamilah gathers leaves from the ground. She pulls one up, showing it off to Wildclove “Blackberry leaves, it's too early for the berries but,” She huffed a laugh “i wont have our warriors downed when the bees come out for pollen” She picks a few more “I remember one time i used this on a wandering loner, Honey, she really lived up to her name- got stung!” Wildclove perks up “Honey? Pale tortoiseshell?” Jamilah looks back up at him “The same? Don't tell me you knew her?” Wildlcove smiles and sits down, uncaring of the wet ground in favour of talking to the molly “She stayed at ‘he house for a shake. Snuck out one night n showed me ‘ow” And boy was he glad he did. Clan-life was tough, battles and deaths around every corner. But he wasn't lonely, he thinks as Jamilah and him keep chatting, gathering the herb to bring back to camp. That's the kicker, clan-life is..well…its life, with other cats, with friends and family. He wasn't lonely anymore. 𖡼𖤣𖥧𖡼𓋼𖤣𖥧𓋼𓍊⋆.ೃ࿔* :・ᓚᘏᗢ⋆.ೃ࿔* :・𖡼𖤣𖥧𖡼𓋼𖤣𖥧𓋼𓍊 Wildclove was sniffing at the fresh kill pile. It was re-filled from the leafbare harshness and everycat had plenty to choose from. He smiles as he picks a rather plump looking rabbit and pads over to the healers den. “Delivery~” He croons, placing the prey at Jamilah's feet “For tellin’ me ‘bout those sticks” “Leaves” She purrs, rolling her eyes at the tom “Same diff!” He spins and stalks away, swinging his tail to make her laugh.
OOC: Im puppeting jamilah shes a sweetheart and i am using her for Lore Drops for Wild OOC: (Also Brownie do you know how old Wild is?)

Hatchhusk with Amberdapple and Quickshade The door of the barn creaked open as Hatchhusk looked into the cavernous Twoleg structure. It was almost completely dark, but he could still see through the thin light of the moon that creeped from the door. Peeking out, he could see the outline of the massive monsters that the twolegs used on their fields, resting… asleep, seemingly. Hatchhusk followed Quickshade and Amberdapple in, sneezing at all the dust and cobwebs in the air.
Cobwebs. Yes. It was something they had run into short supply of now that claw wounds abounded after this war with BurdockClan had started. Just earlier this moon, Cherriberry had been attacked by a BurdockClan warrior. How dare they attack an innocent queen like that?! She was just minding her own business, hunting for herself! Hatchhusk fumed. He might have been a medicine cat, but he almost wished he was a warrior so he could claw those responsible. But this is important too. I can fight the injuries they give our clanmates… I’ll bet BurdockClan doesn’t have four medicine cats to heal their wounds… He reminded himself, collecting cobwebs that lined the barn.
“I don’t know how I could face the BurdockClan medicine cats at this half moon meeting!” Hatchhusk exclaimed to Amberdapple and Quickshade. “They just looked so smug! Like they really believed they were in the right… I know we’re supposed to be peaceful, but they were asking for something!” He tore another length of cobwebs off the wall. “And don’t forget how they did nothing about what happened in YewClan, either. Not even a ‘We’re sorry for your loss’!”
Sharing his thoughts made him feel a little better, and the three made short work of the task, leaving the barn by dawn. As they returned, Hatchhusk noticed a clump of bluebells… he remembered someone telling him they were Leopardcry’s favourite. And what a cat she is… He purred to himself, letting the others pass him on their way back to camp before he rolled around in their sweet scent, hoping it would cling to his fur. Maybe she’ll notice me then! I’ll show her I’m not just a kit anymore… Hatchhusk finished the job, picking the cobwebs back up and trotting into camp with a spring in his step, winking at Leopardcry as he padded towards the medicine den. OOC -- Hatchhusk, you dog, you!

Auburncreek Worried about Beechpaw, Followed by Pheasantkit {--} with Beechpaw, Pheasantkit Auburncreek was there for Cherriberry’s kits apprentice ceremony. It pained her to sit here to see Currentpaw’s body in front of the clan. She sat back, sighing. Why was it the young cats? Starclan had no mercy. The younger cats of Plumclan were taken away from them, with no warning. She looked at the littermates of Currentpaw. The identical Thornpaw and Dapplepaw were sitting around the body, Auburncreek had to blink twice to realise there was two of them. Then, the young Beechpaw, crouched over the unmoving body. Auburncreek felt her claws flex into the ground when she remembered the grief of losing a littermate. She shook the thoughts away. Havenspots was happy now. Currentpaw will be too.
It was a couple days after the young apprentices death. It still worried Auburncreek to see Beechpaw so grief filled. She was walking around the camp, until she recognised the sound of tiny pattering paws behind her. She snorted, imagining the tiny kit behind her. Kits! She scoffed to herself, making massive movements with her paws as she turned around. It was tiny Pheasantkit. She had seen this kit before, making trouble around the nursery. It filled Auburncreek with memories of the nursery with her siblings, when she was the one causing trouble. “Already stalking your enemies. Well done.” She took out a paw and ruffled the young kits head fur. “You will be a great warrior, especially against those Burdockclan fools.” She paused to think, then pointed with her tail. “I bet you could stalk that moss-ball. Imagine the trespassers on your territory..” She crouched, flicking her ears for Pheasantkit to copy. She kept her red bengal tail off the ground, and moved her paws silently. She moved her head over to whisper into Pheasantkit’s ear. “Now pounce!” She purred. [[ I have a feeling Auburncreek would be a funny mentor. I’ll post the patrol prompt later today! ]]

PHEASANTKIT [ A Friendly One ] " Can I be King of The Castle if I'm out of the game? " (Vulture Culture by Fangclub)
Pheasantkit chuckled as her head was ruffled, and looked back up at Auburncreek. Receiving positive feedback is always fun to her.
Pheasantkit watched as she pointed to the moss-ball, and took a moment to visualize it: Her, on the territory leading a patrol, and some BurdockClan warriors who were trespassing. The idea of it was seemingly rage-baiting. But she turned her attention back to Auburncreek.
She noticed that she crouched, and she decided to crouch down as well. She slowly stalked herself towards the moss-ball, focusing on the small leafage-like object. As soon as she heard Auburncreek to tell her to pounce, in an instant she quickly flew into the air, almost like a squirrel hopping on the branches, and then pounced on the moss-ball. From the sheer force of such quick paws, she ended up accidentally rolling over, but she did manage to get the moss-ball in her paws. She then got up and held the moss-ball up to show that she'd caught it.
[ OOC - I can definitely see Pheasantpaw and Auburncreek being the most chaotic duo ever. ]

Currentpaw Is hit by a monster and dies & Walks StarClan's path || with Duststep It was time. Currentkit felt big. She felt proud. She felt like she could do anything! Stepping up to receive her apprentice name, Currentkit was ecstatic. Her litttermates all stepped up and received their names first, before her. I must have been born last or something.
Finally it was her turn. She didn't even hesitate. When Currentpaw stepped up, Fawnstar gave her her name. Currentpaw. It warmed her up and down. She was a 'paw now! She would be a warrior in no time! What will my name be? Currentsplash? Currentflash? Currentpatch?!
Touching noses with her mentor, Duststep, all Currentpaw wanted to was go go go! She felt confident she could do anything! But she didn't see any of her siblings running out of camp, and she didn't want to leave a bad impression on her mentor.
It's my first time out of camp! Currentpaw looked at everything, every leaf, every tree, every blade of grass. She wanted to remember it all. Duststep showed her the camp entrance, Orchard, Rushing creek (Currentcreek?), Cornfield.
One of their last stops is was the barn. It was across a black path, and Currentpaw could imagine all the prey that could be on the other side! Duststep had barely finished her sentance when Currentpaw rushed toward the barn, her paws skimming the black path. She heard Duststep call, but she didn't know why.
Crash! Something crashed into Currentpaw, and her vision went black for a moment before she opened them again. Everything is fading.... She vaguely felt Duststep come to her side and something, did she say something? Before she closed her eyes for the last time.
Currentpaw opened her eyes, expecting to be in the medicine den with her mother, who had been attacked by a Burdockclan warrior. But the surroundings were the same as where she was before, but she didn't feel any pain. Looking around, all she saw was Duststep on the side of the path. Currentpaw padded over to her, about to open her mouth when-
When she saw the thing her mentor was holding. It was her. But it couldn't be her, she was right here! "Duststep, who is that?" But she didn't get an answer.
"It's you, Currentpaw. You're dead." Said a voice from behind her. Currentpaw turned around to see Havenspots. He had been an apprentice when she was a young kit, and she remembered admiring him when he had gotten his name early. I wanted to be just like him!
"But I can't be! I was just made an apprentice! I have to get my warrior name!" She wailed. Why did she have to be dead? Why couldn't it be some other cat? Why couldn't the thing that killed her be dead instead?!
"I'm going to take you to Starclan Currentpaw. There are other apprentices there too! You guys can spar and go apprentice things together!" Havenspots mewed. She could tell that he would just trying to make her feel better.
"Will you be my mentor Havenspots?" Currentpaw asked. Maybe she could train and get her name in Starclan! Then she would still get her warrior name beside her littermates, if Havenspots trained her well.
"um... Sure! I can train you." He said, and beckoned for her to follow. "Now let's get out of here, and make our way to StarClan!" [[ I was looking back and Currentpaw and Duststep's apprentice sprites are REALLY similar ]]

Auburncreek Patrol {--} with Golddusk, Rindlestripe Auburncreek purred at Pheasantkit. “Well done. I bet your siblings will be proud of that.” She nodded to the kit, then twitched her ears when she heard her name called. Rindlestripe and Golddusk were waiting at the entrance. She said her goodbyes to the tiny kit, and padded after the two older warriors. “Patrol?” She perked her head, and purred when she saw them nod. She padded after the cats, one her former mentor, and the other a respected warrior that had mentored her sister. She looked ahead, they were heading towards the Flowerclan border. That would be refreshing. It felt like moon after moon they were always at the Burdockclan border. It felt good to be somewhere else. She looked to the two warriors, catching up to them. “It feels good to be out again. The clearing feels weird now. After all these deaths, it’s never felt the same.” She felt herself shake, the recent deaths had scared her. “Did we make Starclan angry at us? I don’t get it. What did we do wrong?” She sighed, padding after them.
She saw the border ahead, and of course, there was a Flowerclan patrol. It almost seemed like they were waiting for them. Auburncreek felt awkward as the two older warriors didn’t say anything. The two patrols stood facing eachother, until Auburncreek stepped forward. It was her! She reached forward, touching noses with a Flowerclan molly. “Hollyspeck!” She turned to the patrol. “It’s good to see you. I haven’t seen you for moons!” She remembered the gathering they had met, and Auburncreek felt herself purr as she felt the memory flash in her head. They were apprenticed then. How simple life was then. “How is Flowerclan?” She turned to the black furred molly, ignoring the gazes from her clanmates. [[ I headcanon that Hollyspeck and Auburncreek only get along because they are both feisty mollies lol ]]

THORNPAW -- named an apprentice with hawkheart as a mentor patrolling with hawkheart, daisytuft, and dapplepaw has a stomachache, feels lonesome
Finally. After moons of waiting and telling any other cat who would lend there ears for a moment, Thornpaw had been made an apprentice. Standing in front of her clan to receive her mentor and title had been the greatest joy of her life up to that point, and she was ecstatic to finally prove to everyone that she was just as ready as she'd promised. The exhilaration had carried her through the next few days; there was a bounce in every step she took, and she vibrated with excitement every time Hawkheart took her somewhere outside of Plumclan's camp.
It hadn't lasted. As buoyed by her Apprentice Ceremony as she'd been, it had all come crashing down the morning that Duststep returned from the first patrol of the morning, carrying her sister's limp body. There were specks of blood mottled in her fur, and the twist of her leg looked unnatural.
Thornpaw stared. It took her several long seconds to realize what she was looking at. Currentpaw was dead.
One of the other cats began talking, maybe explaining-- Thornpaw didn't know. The only sound she could hear was her own blood, rushing back and forth in her ears.
Currentpaw is dead, she thought. How can Currentpaw be dead?
As her sister was laid on the ground in the center of camp, Thornpaw drifted towards her on soft paws. It didn't seem real, at first-- maybe if she waited long enough, she'd realize it was some other cat. There'd been a terrible accident that took someone else's littermate, not Thornpaw's. It wasn't until she was standing over the body that she was forced to accept reality. Underneath the sour smell she'd come to associate with the Thunderpath, she could could smell Currentpaw's familar scent. She'd never forget it-- she spent moons of her life nursing and sleeping beside it.
No matter how awful it was, it was the truth. Currentpaw was gone. Her sister was dead.
The rest of the day was a blur. Whatever patrol Thornpaw'd supposed go on left without her, and she'd settled in to sit vigil. Together with her mother and siblings, she groomed Currentpaw until her fur laid clean and flat again. By the time they'd finished, she looked like herself again-- as if she were taking nap, save for the angle of her leg.
A lonely feeling had settled in the pit of her stomach sometime that night, still sitting vigil beside her littermates around Currentpaw's body. When they ran out of stories to share, something empty took its place. Thornpaw might still have two littermates, but without Currentpaw... it felt like something was missing.
That feeling lingered, even through the next several days. As Thornpaw woke up and prepared to go on patrol with Dapplepaw and their mentors, it had taken up as a physical ache in the pit of her stomach. No matter how excited she had been for this before, Currentpaw was dead now. Everything felt like it mattered less in light of that.
Nevertheless, she was an apprentice now. She had a clan to provide for, and the time for mourning had come to an end-- at least, the kind of mourning that kept her from getting outside of camp and working towards becoming the warrior Plumclan needed of her. With her stomach still aching, she rose with the sun and settled herself by the entrance to camp to wait for the rest of the patrol.

Duststep Showing Currentpaw Plumclan's territory
Sitting at the front of the crowd of cats, Duststep listened to the gathering with rapt attention as the new apprentices and their mentors were announced. When Currentkit- now Currentpaw- was called up last and she heard her own name said as the apprentice's new mentor, she was surprised but excited to teach Currentpaw all she had learned from Leopardcry all those moons ago. She made her way to where Fawnstar and Currentpaw were standing, and as she reached down to touch noses with her new apprentice she could tell she was just as excited as Duststep was. The young apprentice reminded her of herself at that age. She still remembered the day she found Cherriberry and her kits during a border patrol and brought them to the clan, and now had no doubt that her daughter was going to make a fine warrior.
Once the gathering had concluded, she wasted no time in asking Currentpaw if she wanted a tour of Plumclan's territory now that she was an apprentice, and the two padded out of the camp eagerly. As they slowly made their way through the orchard, she rambled on about the different types of prey that could be found there, where their borders were located and with which clan, and any other information she deemed useful. They went to the Rushing Creek first- she was careful not to spend too much time there, as she figured a run-in with an antagonistic Burdockclan patrol wouldn't make for a good first day of apprenticeship- then made their way first along the Ruined Wall then the Cornfield. When they reached the farmhouse, she figured she would end the tour soon, as it was getting dark. As she finished her monologue about the twolegs that lived in the house, she glanced across the road to the barn, remembering that she should probably show Currentpaw that too. She didn't want to linger here long either, though now it was because sitting near the road reminded her of a couple moons ago when Fogshard had found that injured stranger barely alive on the side of it. "Oh, and across that road there is the barn... I don't go there often, but I think there's a bunch of barn cats that live there. They don't bother us if we don't bother them. Usually they just hunt near the barn and leave the orchard to us, but you might run into them in the Cornfield... The road is so dangerous that there's no point trying to cross anyway-" She was interrupted by the loud blare of the monster speeding along the road, and realized with horror that while she had been distracted talking Currentpaw had sprinted into its path, the bright beams from the monster's eyes illuminating her like a halo. "Currentpaw! No!" she screamed, already sprinting towards her when a split second later the monster hit her with a sickening crack. Once the monster had zoomed away, she made it to Currentpaw's side, but she could already tell that it was too late. "I... I'm sorry," she choked out, watching the apprentice's eyes flutter shut as her breathing stilled before finally stopping. She quickly dragged her limp body to the edge of the road, out of the way of the monsters, and scooped her body up closer to her as she sat down.
At first, it felt like she couldn't move. Her eyes traced Currentpaw's unmoving chest, her bloodstained pelt, her now forever closed eyes, her twisted leg and broken spine, but rather than cry she felt she couldn't move her own body at all. All she felt was numb as she turned the situation over again and again in her mind. Currentpaw was dead. There were so many things she could have done differently; she should have kept a closer eye on her apprentice, should have started her speech off with a warning about the dangers of the road, should have been faster to shove Currentpaw out of the way and allow herself to be hit instead. But I didn't do any of that. I let her get hit... I killed her. When she finally did blink, she couldn't stop the tears from coming, and let out a wail of anguish as she buried her face in the long white pelt to cry. "Oh, Starclan, why couldn't you have taken me instead? She was just an apprentice, she had her whole future ahead of her." The only solace she could find was in hoping that it hadn't hurt too much, and that she was in Starclan now with Havenspots, and Fogshard, and everyone else who had died.
Havenspots and Fogshard... she had grieved their deaths, of course, but there was a stark difference between hearing about what fate had befallen them as she sat solemnly staring at their unmoving body at the vigil, and witnessing the killing blow herself. She realized with a sharp pang to her chest that sooner or later she would have to return with the body to Plumclan. She would have to go to the medicine den, look Cherriberry in the eye, and tell her that her daughter was dead and that she could have prevented it. She couldn't even go one day with an apprentice without getting them killed, for Starclan's sake. Her heart racing, she glanced up at the barn of stray cats across the road; what if she didn't tell Plumclan? What if she left the body here and ran off, never to be seen again, never to face the consequences of her inaction? Staring dead straight at the barn for a long time, she played out in her head what she would do; maybe she could try to join the barn cats, or go to the twolegs and try to get them to take her in as a kittypet. Maybe she could run to one of the other clans, her tail between her legs, and beg them to let her in so she didn't have to go admit her mistake to Plumclan. Maybe she could fake amnesia and pretend she'd been hit by the monster too. Suddenly, another monster lit up the road with its glowing eyes as it roared past her, cutting off her line of sight with the barn and snapping her out of it. Looking down at Currentpaw's still body again, she felt guilty for even thinking those thoughts. She wouldn't want me to run off. I have to tell Cherriberry and her siblings. I have to make things right, and work harder than ever before. This wasn't the only tragedy that had befallen Plumclan recently; the clan needed her to step up, to work herself to the bone, and maybe, finally, things would get better. But not yet. She knew that when she arrived back at camp with Currentpaw's body, her clanmates' perception of her would change irreversibly, and she wanted to keep some semblance of familiarity for just one night longer before it slipped through her paws like sand. She would go back when she was ready, but not right now; in the morning, she figured. Duststep didn't know whether she had been sitting and thinking for minutes or hours, but it was well into the night now. The lack of trees near the road allowed her a perfect view of Silverpelt in the clear night sky. As she sat and stared into the inky black expanse marked by the twinkling silver eyes of her ancestors staring down on her, she was sure she spotted one new star shining brighter than the rest. I wonder if Currentpaw is looking down on me now. Did it hurt? Does she blame me? I hope she's happy there. She spent the sleepless night alone by the roadside, her only light coming from the stars above and the bright eyes of Monsters that roared by occasionally. Exhausted as she was, she just couldn't allow herself to sleep. Thoughts swirled through her mind, but when dawn broke at last, enveloping Currentpaw's cold, limp body in a golden light, she couldn't say she felt much better than before. The specks of dried blood in her fur reflected the light and glowed like stars in the apprentice's soft white pelt. With much caution, Dustpelt heaved the little body onto her back and made the journey back to Plumclan's camp. When she arrived, she could feel all eyes on her as she wordlessly laid her on the ground near the doorway, bathed in the morning's golden light. She spotted Cherriberry and the new apprentices, but couldn't bear to look at them. If they were staring at her with pity or with a burning anger, or if she'd faded away from their vision entirely when they spotted Currentpaw's body, she didn't know and didn't want to.
The day passed by in a dizzy blur, and by the next night- A full day after her death, she realized- she could barely keep her eyes open as she sat in a circle around the now perfectly groomed body with Currentpaw's mother and siblings. She was quiet, tired of answering questions about what had happened and the unspoken implication behind each of them of how could she have been so careless? She felt bad for relishing the moments of silence between the stories they shared about her now former apprentice, but every mention of Currentpaw's name felt like a claw to the face after what had happened. After a long night, when the vigil was over, she glanced back at Currentpaw's body one final time before making her way to the warrior's den and slumping over in a dead sleep.
Tagging: Dew (Currentpaw)| OOC: Oh they really are... I think it's because they're both sokoke? But that's a funny coincidence Border patrol with Forestfreckle, Lilacshade, and Duskfeather
Duststep kept to the middle of the patrol as they made their way through the orchard towards the east border of Plumclan's territory. When they arrived to the end of the ruined wall near where it met the cornfield, she made her way to the front to address the rest of the patrol. "How about we split up? Two of us can check along the cornfield up to the barn, and two can start along the wall. We can stay pretty close in case we need backup, I just thought it might be more efficient. How about Duskfeather and I check the wall and Forestfreckle and Lilacshade can go to the cornfield?" I just don't want to go back to that road again, she thought, her tail prickling slightly. She looked over the other cats, and a sheepish grin came over her face when she got to Duskfeather; she hadn't meant to step on the deputy's toes. "If that's okay with you of course, Duskfeather. Sorry."

Fawnstar »
showing beechpaw the burdockclan border - sharptail & wants to explore the territory with cloverfur
War was a finicky creature. A beast that Fawnstar was not fond of. This was her first official war as leader of PlumClan, and while her insides squirmed with worry over her Clanmates, she stood tall and stout. She would not balk under BurdockClan’s cries for bloodshed. She would not falter under their unsheathed claws. She had lost too many Clanmates in the following moons, and now Cherriberry was stuck in camp recovering from a wound inflicted by a BurdockClan attack. Many saw PlumClan as being weak with their borders far too open to outsiders, but Fawnstar was determined to show them that that wasn’t the case. If BurdockClan wanted to start a war, then by the stars was Fawnstar hell-bent on ending it. She would show them what a true warrior was made of. She’d show them how PlumClan dealt with disrespect on their borders.
In the midst of war and tragedy, Fawnstar had named Cherriberry’s kits apprentices. They had reached their sixth moon of life, and as was Clan tradition, they were allowed to graduate from the nursery into the apprentices’ den. But for as exciting as that was, it was soon followed by grief, a monster taking young Currentpaw’s life. The Clan had grieved, and some were still grieving, but life had to continue. Fawnstar hated taking that stance, but BurdockClan was pushing their luck, and the tortoiseshell leader was in no mood to allow them to push her Clan around.
For today’s lesson with her new apprentice Beechpaw - while Fawnstar would have gladly given the young cat to another warrior to train, in the storm of war she felt it important to train an apprentice herself - she had decided to take the tom to the mess that was BurdockClan’s border. ”Careful,” she warned Beechpaw, keeping herself between the border and Beechpaw, ”we’re close to hostile territory right now, but it’s imperative that you know the reality of what’s happening. Take in a deep breath. Remember what you smell. Look at the trees and brush around you. Don’t let the enemy confuse you.” Fawnstar realized this was a lot for the newly named apprentice to take in, but all of this was incredibly important. She had to instill all of this into Beechpaw as soon as she could. It was unfortunate that he and his remaining littermates had to grow up in the middle of war, but this was how it was right now. Until BurdockClan decided they wanted to negotiate peace, then war they shall have.
Fawnstar did also wish that she had Cloverfur here with her. Not only had he been the tortoiseshell’s apprentice seasons ago, before Leopardcry and before Beechpaw, but he had turned into an incredible warrior with a penchant for mentoring. Perhaps he would have been able to make this lesson a little…easier to handle, lighter in tone than what Fawnstar was making it. She wished to explore the territory alongside him, giving Beechpaw a more in depth look at the terrain that PlumClan called home. But this would have to do for now. Out of all the areas and borders of PlumClan, this patch of land was the most important to memorize at the moment. It was unfortunate, but it was what it was, and Fawnstar could only do so much about it, not until BurdockClan decided peace was an option.

Forestfreckle .*❁ ________________________________________________________________________________________________* Is lectured by Leopardcry about the Warrior Code * Border patrol with Lilacshade, Duskfeather, and Duststep * Growls at a small dog Forestfreckle stomped out of camp after her assigned patrol, annoyed. She wasn't annoyed with the patrol of course, but rather, with Leopardcry. Forestfreckle wasn't quite sure why, but Leopardcry had spent the very early hours of the day re-hashing the warrior code for her. The auburn she-cat suspected it had something to do with the Flowerclan tom she had spent time with a few moons ago, as well as the ongoing war with Burdockclan. However the whole discussion had rubbed Forestfreckle the wrong way and she was ready to be rid of it. She shook her pelt as if to shake off the conversation, and then eagerly followed her deputy and fellow warriors, falling right in step behind Duststep.
Perhaps I can ask Duststep about Leopardcry's need to righteously lecture other cats? Duststep did used to be her apprentice... maybe she has some insight. Forestfreckle began to open her mouth but then hesitated, Maybe I shouldn't bother Duststep though... she's been through so much... All of Plumclan has. Forestpaw thought back to all the sadness and loss she had experienced since becoming a warrior and began to count.
Five moons ago, I became a warrior early! ...
Forestfreckle's deep thoughts and counting were interrupted by a familiar smell that sent deep chills shooting down her spine. Memories of gray fur, fear-scent, and running through the orchard filled Forestfreckle's mind, as well as the unpleasant memory of the sound of jaws snapping at flesh. Eyes wide, the young warrior yowled, "DOG!"
Quick to scan the orchard for the source of the smell, Forestfreckle found a small canine sniffing at the base of a plum tree. It was no bigger than her, but Forestfreckle didn't care. With all of the ferocity of Lionclan, the she-cat charged forward before anyone else could react. She knew she should wait for a plan from Duskfeather, but she couldn't bare to let another dog romp through their territory. She needed to avenge Fogshard, and protect Plumclan. Driven by rage, the she-cat skidded to a halt right in front of the small mutt and growled, "Get out of our territory you mangey rat!"
Forestfreckle wasn't sure if dogs could understand her language, but the wiry thing seemed to. Without hesitation, it tucked its tail and ran, leaving the patrol to continue on through to the ruined wall and hear Duststep's eventual suggestion of splitting up. Would Duskfeather tolerate being overstepped by two young warriors in one day?

Golddusk- Patrol with Auburncreek and Rindlestripe He walked quietly alongside Rindlestripe, not saying much of anything yet. They are heading towards the Flowerclan border. Golddusk felt a bit of relief that he wouldn’t have to worry about Burdockclan, at least if only for a short while. With the war going on as it is now, it was nice to at least have some change of pace. A part of him worries about the border between Plumclan and Burdockclan. What if Burdockclan trespasses again? What if they tries to attack another one of our clanmates? Golddusk thought to himself, having heard of the news about Cherriberry. It was awful that the queen got attacked, especially now that one of her kits had died this moon. Maybe we should’ve patrolled the Burdockclan border again just to be safe? Before Golddusk could ponder further on the war, he heard Aurburncreek speak. He listened to her concerns about the recent deaths these past moon and about Starclan. Golddusk shook his head. “I don’t know but I don’t think we’ve done anything to make Starclan angry at us.” Golddusk told the younger warrior. He kept walking until he saw something up ahead. He stoped walking once he realizes that there is a Flowerclan patrol up ahead. He froze where he stood, unsure of how exactly to best handle this situation. Previously on his last encounter with a Flowerclan patrol a few moons ago, the encounter was awkward but not hostile. Would the same be said for this particular encounter this time? Luckily, it seems that Auburncreek had recognized one of the warriors of Flowerclan and he watched as Auburncreek and the warrior called Hollyspeck greet each other warmly. With the tension now broken, Golddusk relaxed now that he knows that this meeting with the Flowerclan patrol wouldn’t be hostile either. ——— Golddusk- Catches a runny nose It was morning in Plumclan. Golddusk woke up from his sleep, hearing the birds sing somewhere high up in the trees. It would have been a peaceful morning if only not for the fact that something about Golddusk’s health feels off today. He felt more fatigued than usual and his nose felt both stuffy and runny. He didn’t want to leave his nest, now that he was starting to feel a bit ill. However, he knows he should be seeing the medicine cats about this and at least get some herbs for his runny nose if he can. Reluctantly, he got up from his nest, walked out of the warrior’s den, and then headed straight for the medicine cat’s den. He hoped could get rid of his runny nose soon. lazzylake polarized

Hawkheart getting an apprentice! Training patrol with daisytuft thornpaw and dapplepaw! Hawkheart almost leaped with happiness at the thought of having an apprentice. My chance to prove myself! He thought. Thornpaw was a good apprentice and he was looking forward to training with the young cat. Today he was on a training patrol with his sister her apprentice and his apprentice. We always seem to be on the same patrol. He thought but he loved being with his sister very much. Thornpaw was waiting at the opening and hawkheart thought- Wow she's already to go. That's a good sign!" Let's go!" He said to the patrol and burst out of the clearing into the vast forest beyond. He made the choose to train at one of the many clearings close to camp and ran there with the patrol at his heels. " Heres a good place to train!" He said to his sister with an air of power." Let's start on our hunting crouch." The patrol nodded and started to get into they're hunting crouchs when hawkheart stoped them. " Wait! Your missing one of the most important step at the start of training!" He said not beliving Daisytuft had forgot. " We need to strech!" He said to the cats as if that explained everything and started to strach his body to warm-up his cold arms and legs.He then looked up at the patrol." Well get streching!
Dapplepaw getting Daisytuft as a mentor! Patrol with daisytuft thornpaw and hawkheart!
Dapplepaw was buzzing energy and excitment at the thought of being an apprentice to Daisytuft! Daisytufts so cool! She thought with happiness! And i get to be on a patrol with my sister to! She thought it was kind of funny that a pair of littermates were mentoring a pair of littermates but it made sence. As hawkheart started the patrol she felt a rush of air and readyness as the forest flew by when she ran! The patrol stoped at a clearing close to camp and Hawkheart said- "Heres a good place to train! Lets start with your hunting crouch!" The three of them set to work with starting when hawkheart gasped- "Wait your forgeting one of the most important steps of training! We need to strech!" He said and started to strech his body then looked up noticing the rest of the patrol just staring. "Well?" He said. Dapplepaw looked up at her mentor and raised an eyebrow wanting her advise first.

Cloverfur Training patrol & Helping Jamilah || with Jamilah, Blizzardpaw The tragedy that had been striking PlumClan moon after moon had been jarring. Two moons ago his apprentice Havenspots had died. The young cat showed so much potential, to be an amazing warrior, and he had been felled by falling branches. Last moon Fogshard and Carnationkit died, one from a dog and one from a hawk. This moon Currentpaw had been hit by a monster on her first patrol out. Cloverfur could only imagine how Duststep was feeling.
It was for this reason that Cloverfur had offered to help Jamilah in the medicine den before he took Blizzardpaw out. Even if there were four medicine cats, it still had to be stressful. At the moment Amberdapple, Quickshade and Hatchhusk were all out herb gathering, which meant that Jamilah was the only medicine cat in camp at the moment. "Sure, come on in!" She mewed, beckoning him in with her tail. "I got a splinter clearing out the old herbs, so could you finish the job while I treat it?" Cloverfur nodded his head, entering the den.
It was easy to see what herbs were the older ones as they were all brown and shriveled. Jamilah grabbed a few herbs and went to the back of the den to treat her splinter, and Cloverfur turned to the herb storage. He was sure to be careful not to make a mess, the last thing he wanted was to get in trouble with Quickshade or Amberdapple because he had messed something up. I could never be a medicine cat!
After the job was done Jamilah thanked Cloverfur and he left the den, making a beeline for Blizzardpaw. His apprentice was soon to be a warrior, whenever it be the next moon for the one after that, and Cloverfur wanted to make sure she was prepared. "Time to go Blizzardpaw." He called, and they two left camp together.
Cloverfur had planned for this lesson to be a sort of walk, talking as they made their way through the territory. They would go away from the BurdockClan border as per the war, so they wouldn't run into any hostile cats on their peaceful patrol.
"So, you're almost a warrior Blizzardpaw! I just want to talk to you about assessments and your warrior ceremony. If you have any questions, feel free to but in and ask anything."
"Your assessment will probably start off with a hunting portion, all you need to do is catch as much prey as you can, pretty simple. You shouldn't have trouble with that since your a skilled apprentice as well as it is newleaf, and the prey is hungry and stupid. The second portion will probably be a fighting portion, where you might face me or another warrior in a spar. Simple, right?" Cloverfur explained. He was sure that Blizzardpaw was going to pass whenever she took it, she was becoming quite a skilled cat.
"Now here's the fun part, the warrior ceremony! This will occur after you have proved yourself ready to be a warrior, whenever that may be. I remember my ceremony was held as the sun was setting and Fawnstar gave me my name, Cloverfur. I then sat vigil at the camp entrance overnight listening to the sounds around me and making sure the clan was safe."
"Golddusk, who was my first apprentice graduated a little late, but it wasn't a worry! Some cats just need more time, but every cat will get their name eventually. Havenspots graduated early and was honored for his compassion." Cloverfur paused for a moment, talking of Havenspots reminded him of the young warrior who was no more. "They both and and were amazing warriors, and I am sure you will follow in their pawsteps, as well as all the warriors of PlumClan's pawsteps. You will be a great warrior Blizzardpaw, I know it."
