Moon two of "considering peace" Our casualties this time were Bitepaw, with a mangled leg and Marigoldbite with a cat bite (ironic). Warmstar got heat stroke (also ironic! yall are great)
AND some cat is teaching the apprentices special training to use the stones and boulders on the cliffsides as weapons of war???? WHO??? also RAD!!!

Also Vixenpelt mediated a herb exchange between us and BounceClan, I guess we're on okay terms now?

YIKES Copsehaven, Frostfeather, Lightspeckle and Bloomtooth go on patrol. Lightspeckle sees a swell of water rushing towards the cats, but hesitates calling out! Only Frostfeather manages to claw his way out of the water, the other three taken far, far downstream. Not dead, not yet, but lost.


We found him collapsed by the thunderpath. Turns out he only had yellowcough and was weak with fever; the patrol had thought he'd been hit by a monster. He'll have to pick a warrior name if he wants to stay after he's healed.

War with MouseClan. Burrowpaw is hurt on the initial conflict, where two patrols traded insults and got into a big battle.

Loudtail got her name super early at 10 moons, and then instantly got bit in a MouseClan raid oof.

AWWW Rockpaw's mentor Burrknoll got heat exhaustion, so I put her on a patrol with an available warrior which happened to be her dad and they had the cutest conversation about how her training is going and how proud he is of her <3

Let's look at relationships it's been a while.
Snapburn has a lot of romance for Shiningcrest. She's also now bloodthirsty; this would be a great challenge run cult run thing. Shiningcrest has even more reomance for Snapburn and is ALSO bloodthirsty OMG. I... don't know how this relationship will go, but I'm down to encourage it and see!
Chervilcry is very popular with the older warriors of the Clan. He's usually the top friend outside of lovers/family members for all of them.
Dropletfuzz likes Burrknoll... but Burrknoll has a crush on his son Wolverinecrag. Oof
I think I'm going to try and encourage Swampshadow x Rushbadger. They're both a little distant, hard to get to know. I think they'd both benefit from having a close friend.
maplerain has a huge crush on Burrknoll, unreciprocated.
Onto the young 12: Longfalcon likes Coldlion (reciprocated; Rom patrol!); Burrowmoon likes Butterflyheart(unreciprocated; she likes Larkhail); Peakbite likes Crouchfleck(hella reciprocated); Rockblaze likes Sorrelpaw (unreciprocated; or at least the game isn't showing it yet. They're the same age but Sorrelpaw still is struggling with redcough.)
No hatreds, which is good! No really huge friendships either, mostly just family members and a few friends each.

I wonder how Shiningchest feels about this. There were six of Palefoot's kits, and these two are the last ones left (and they're only 39/37 moons!!) Imagine being the last one of your family for so many moons and then your older brother Weeddusk comes rolling up after being missing for over two years!!! Also what's with Posylion not sticking with Weeddusk? She didn't come back, just him.

Five new warriors this moon, four of them named early. We need the extra paws for the war. I love Dustfire and Carpcatcher's names! Poppyfeather is also super cute.

A lot of cats get over their grief for the mass extinction this moon. It was hard, getting past that massive loss, but there's a war to fight and every cat needs to help protect the living.
I was mediating and I didn't know that Patchcreek had so much romantic interest in Apricotsnout! Should have asked him out before Swiftfreckle did...

Also Moorcliff shares the same pelt as her father and aunt (chocolate sokoke) and luckily they all have different poses but yeah. They are the only chocolate tabbies in the Clan and they look the exact same. Carpcatcher is also sokoke but he's cinnamon, and Burrwhisker is chocolate marbled smoke. The older half of the Clan is still overwhelmingly greys, but the younger cats are mostly browns/gingers

They are not, unfortunately, related. Darkstripe actually has no living blood relations: none of his eight children had kits; only Caraboujumble made it past 30 moons.

Also I felt like Shellpelt was a mentor really often, even if only one or two apprentices were there, he was a mentor. He's charismatic and brilliant kit-sitter. Both of his previous apprentices died before taking their names; he's Bristlepaw's mentor now, hopefully she'll survive it.

Apricotsprout and Burrwhisker have a romantic patrol (; Wow they really like each other! I didn't know this! Let's do some relationship diving, esp after having Rainbowshriek do a lot of mediating every moon.

Reedstar does NOT like Rainbowshriek; I think he thinks he's making a mess of things. He loves his kids, of course, especially young Honeypaw and Sunshatter. He feels secure when Burrwhisker is around and uses the younger tom to take secure messages to other cats, trusting him implicitly. He also trusts and respects Wolverinecrag a lot, though he doesn't much like the other tom.
Wolverinecrag, deputy, still hates Reedstar... but also has a lot of romance for him.... weird, but okay. He is besties with Cypressnip, really likes chilling with Paletiger, and relies heavily on Sunshatter whenever patrols need an extra paw. He also thinks Rockbloom is really cool. He's a bunch more popular than Reedstar to most of the Clan.
Cypressnip has a lot of mixed feelings about a lot of cats. They don't have any close family, really, but they respect Wolverinecrag. More than Reedstar, at least. They have a LOT of mixed feelings for Chervilcry, a weird rivalry/friendship. Carpcatcher, their cousin, is pretty cool though and teaches them all the new hip slang.
Lightningpaw really dislikes her mentor. She thinks he should give her more praise when she's doing well, all she hears are corrections and critique!
Rainbowshriek is starting to resent Reedstar too. He def thinks Wolverinecrag would make a better leader...and he's in a position that he might be able to do something about it...

The senior warriors:
Paletiger is a people-pleaser, he loves everyone. He has a small crush on Wolverinecrag, always has, but will never act on it. He respects the deputy too much to entangle his feelings into the deputy's already tough job. Paletiger will always go to Wolverinecrag first, and only Reedstar when he absolutely must. He likes Smokemask, Shellpelt, Apricotsprout and Rockbloom. He respects Patchcreek's loyalty to the Clan, but dislikes his aggression. He really likes the new warrior, Alpinekite, and was the one that did the young tom's assessment.
Of course, Weeddusk loves his hubby, Wolverinecrag and their only surviving daughter, Waspnose. He also has a lot of romantic feelings for Chervilcry, but understands the other senior warrior only ever had eyes for Burrowmoon. He respects Reedstar, but doesn't like the way their leader dismisses Wolverinecrag or Rainbowshriek sometimes. He trust Rockbloom, Shellpelt, and Apricotsprout the most.
Chervilcry thinks Cypressnip is the best healer the Clan could ask for. He feels safe around him in a way that he'd only ever felt around Burrowmoon, and knows the healer did his best--and always will do his best. He loves his kids, all of them, though Gorgestripe in particular makes him proud. He's glad Weeddusk is a good mate to his brother.

As for the warriors....
Rockbloom has a lot of romantic feelings for Apricotsnout.
Sunshatter is... other than the three senior warriors 100+ moons, the oldest warrior in the Clan at 52. That's insane, he's a tiny child!!!! He likes Shellpelt a little, and Rainstripe is pretty. He looks up to Wolverinecrag and admires the deputy.
Rowanstripe is lonely; she doesn't get along with many cats. Rainbowshriek, sometimes, he listens, and Smokemask is a close friend since they were apprentices.
Apricotsnout loves Burrwhisker. He also loves Scalekit, for some reason Paletiger's kit has grown on him more than he'd care to admit. He's kind of a flirt, but doesn't do it intentionally? He doesn't understand why all the cats are flirting back.
Shellpelt likes Sunshatter; he's the one that's been initiating the flirting. He also hates Scalekit already. And has a small crush on Reedstar. Just a little.
Smokemask has a crush on Shellpelt and is BESTIES with Rainbowshriek, her cousin. She finds Weeddusk hilarious and loves being on patrols with him.
Patchcreek likes Apricotsnout, and is one of Reedstar's staunch supporters. He doesn't dislike Wolverinecrag, he just really respects the pressure Reedstar is under as leader.
Burrwhisker also supports Reedstar, but maybe only because his sister Rainstripe does, who he's always looked up to. He knows she can be... intense, and that scares him sometimes, but she's his sister; he should support her. He has a small crush on Apricotsnout.
Rainstripe will follow Reedstar through anything. She has a crush on Sunshatter. She only cares about a few cats in the Clan, but cares about them a LOT.
Carpcatcher is surrounded by family, and he loves it. He'd do anything for his aunt, uncle, or any of his cousins.
Streamclaw has a crush on Patchcreek. She considers herself besties with Rowanstripe, though the older molly doesn't see them as very close.
Waspnose loves her dads, of course. She feels super comfortable around Smokemask. She dislikes Honeypaw, for some reason.
Gorgestripe loves his uncle Wolverinecrag, respects his opinions a lot.

Smokemask would have been my obvious choice: 68 moons, well loved, expert experience, confident and clever... no? Maybe because she was Reedstar's younger sister and they didn't like him that much?

Better news: Sunshatter is expecting kits again. and his leg is healed. He and Burrwhisker are grieving Reedstar's death.

ALSO I've changed the policy on outsiders, due to IvyClan's shift into being a little more accepting. MouseClan are ALLIES we try to be friendly and never steal their prey; GardeniaClan are neutral, we try to be friendly, but will try and sneak prey from the borders if we can. BoughClan and BounceClan are both ENEMIES and we antagonize on sight. Outsider patrols: 1-3 antagonize; 4 do not proceed; 5-6 proceed.

Tricklebrook is daughter of Apricotsprout and Swiftfreckle. She has a weak leg. Dahliapelt is her niece.

EXTINCTION! Well, minor, because taken by twolegs is actually a Lost event so they have a chance of coming back. Dahliapelt, Lavenderpelt, Bouldercurl, Fernswan, Chaffinchfur and Tempestlichen are all taken. If any return, they'll have kits turned off as I take these as TNR events (trap and release, aka getting feral cats fixed to manage the population). Poor Lavenderpelt, this is the second time he's been lost. Hopefully he helps some of the others home.
Flutterpelt is named a warrior a moon early, and Blackshiver was made a warrior TWO moons early! He's only been training for four moons, but he's learned as much as Blizzarddream can teach him.
Brightpaw is given to the newly named Briarsilk and Wrenpaw to Petalbillow, who never got to finish Dancingpaw's apprenticeship before the young cat died.
Oh and Yewpaw came out as nonbinary! They have a huge family and lots of support, including being mentored by their older half-sibling.

I am SO glad we rolled a five on a sick kittypet event!!! She's so pretty!! and only has whitecough so she should heal too!! I've never gotten a brindled tortie before she looks awesome.


I headcanon these events happened in the opposite order. He deserves to rest, though. I can't believe he's a badgerholly kit, they grow up so fast!

Iciclespots is named a warrior a moon early. Despite being 11 moons, the other five are no where close to being warriors yet. (Goosepaw, with a broken leg for four moons now, is expected. The others have no excuse)
Aw Primrosezoom is missing Palejay. She had no strong feelings for him, she just misses him. Also she has over 40% romantic like for Quillfur, but it's entirely one sided. How long has she been pining over his and Meadowtail's relationship?
Also Primrosezoom and Cresskite caught greencough this winter, and Yewspeckle got yellowcough.

Havengoose, Flailburn and Fallowshadow are all named warriors, only leaving Goosepaw to catch up.
Burrowrustle had her kits! They're Flinthare's! ALSO GIRL WTF you can't name both your kits the same thing!!!! Seriously what are the odds. I'll keep the grey tom as Cavernkit, in memory of Cavernspeck, and the ginger molly becomes Palekit (Rolled Meadow- which is already used and Egg- which. No.) which is ADORABLE because it's after Flinthare's dad, Palejay. Very cute.

After last moon's apocalypse, we are officially on a new generation in IvyClan. Meadowtail's granddaughter is now almost an elder, which means I need to pick more keystone cats to make main characters.
Fallowshadow, the once loner, is a good option. He's ambitious and already mentored three apprentices (Palewhisker, Thunderclaw and Ficklespirit) and has a crush on Ermineshell, the resident queen, who is also a good keystone character.
Valleyshadow is also a good option, our meddy cat. She's calico and very pretty, chaffinch's daughter who I liked a lot.

Ayyyy first moon I said that, Fallowshadow brings home three kits! Main character already doing MC things. His kits are Pumpkinkit, Pinnaclekit and Amberkit

Poor Fruittail, confesses and is rejected only so Flutterpelt could be mates with Palewhisker. Who I think I was setting up with him? Wait this is a BIT awkward. Palewhisker is Flinthare's daughter by Burrowrustle... who was Flutterpelt's old mate. Yikes. To be completely fair, Palewhisker is closer to Flutterpelt's age than her dad was..... sooooooo

I hope that means their dictator leader is dead and things are better (we still aren't friends with BoughClan though)

Aw Downyfleck the deputy is feeling gloomy about it. At least Valleyshade, our other meddy cat and Oatdrop's wife, isn't grieving and can heal our cats.

Dude everyone likes Flutterpelt. Woodcloud actually hates him, but Fruittail, Fallowshadow, Palewhisker(his now mate), Fringesting, Lotustail(also just under 50%! maxed outside of being his mate!!), and Oriolebubble all have romantic interest in him. Geeez that's almost half the Clan. MC energy. This man could have a harem if he wanted. Apparently he's loyal, great speaker and clever so like. He might just be very charismatic? a bit of a flirt? Dude the whole Clan is gonna grieve when he dies, he claims the best friend spot for so many cats.

AYO Fallowshadow and Ermineshell become mates! I was rooting for them, but because Ermineshell is an elder and we have no mediator, I couldn't force any interactions between them. Glad they did it on their own!

Downyfleck retires, and Siltstar chooses Bitejump as the Clan's new deputy. He's a good choice, a younger cat that's good with elders and kits. One of Blizzarddream and Flitriver's litter. He's the last surviving member of his family line right now. He also really likes Puddlekit, for some reason.

Tangleslip dies saving Gorsecave </3 It's a perfect end to the AU; she must have known he was her apprentice in an alternate timeline. Gorsecave does mangle his leg on a twoleg trap, though
Edelweisskit is grabbed by an eagle, but deputy Bitejump saves her! The kit is still injured, but it isn't certain death.
Partridgebubble earns her warrior name! Scorchshade gets hers very late this time at 15 moons.
Duckbeam has FIVE KITS: Blazekit, Emberkit, Cherrykit, Sharpkit, and Rockkit (the only tom of the litter).

Normally we would roll a d6 for outsiders and only take them on a 5/6, but we don't have a full healer and so when one asks to join the Clan, we take them in without a second thought. Wisteriapaw is relieved she doesn't have to be the only healer at 14 moons; she feels her training is enough, but she hasn't seen everything yet and isn't confident on her own. Welcome to Loudstripe, perfect timing.

I didn't know you could get a green romantic love bar without being mates. He hasn't asked her out at all, and she's still mates with Siltstar. They are going to have a secret romance, because Bitejump is Siltstar's nephew... She's allowed to like them both I think, but it would be weird for him to know about it or approve of it...
Pumpkinpatch still is mates with Icespot and likes Pantherdazzle, but she very much dislikes Patherdazzle's new mate, Bogfern.
Slightfreckle really gets along with the apprentices. She doesn't know many warriors yet, but Wolfpaw and Burdockpaw are helping her integrate into the Clan and teach her the Code and stuff.
OH Bushstreak LOVES Pumpkinpatch. Like 75% romantic. Aw it isn't mutual at all though, almost entirely one sided.
Peakclaw has a small crush on both Slightfreckle and Featherneedle.
Highplume has a crush on Dancingshatter.

Bushstreak is ambitious, though, he's probably been trying for the position, and Bitestar is also ambitious so he probably sees a lot of himself in his son.

First thing out the gate: Bitestar is seen touching noses with a kittypet and also loses a life to whitecough.
Bluetail found a bluebell in the frost and decides to wear it. Fitting! Also I totally forgot we had a Blue- so Bitestar and Loudstripe's new kit Bluekit is renamed to Vixenkit! Our second male Vixen- in IvyClan, but the first in 500 moons.
Bushstreak and Pantherdapple catch whitecough too, and Dancingshatter's turned into greencough. We have like, so many herbs tho.

Thriving with three meddy cats. Hopefully don't get either of the "lose all herbs" events. Those suck.
OOOF Bitestar loses a second life this moon, this time to rogues. I'm glad he's the one that took the blow during the patrol, saving the others. I'm glad leaders are losing lives; at least in expanded, I've been feeling like they stay at 7-8 and then just perish of old age or assassination at like, 140 moons. Which is... weird.

Hawkbelly is made a warrior early. His brother Flamepaw is... not even close. Actually, none of Rindlelaurel's three look like they'll be named on time either.
Wolfstripe and Billowbush's five surviving kits are all named apprentices this moon. Finchpaw finds an oak leaf to put behind his ear during the ceremony. Dazzlepaw was given to Sharprustle, but I changed her mentor to Mountainpounce seeing as she'll be in the nursery next moon.
Sunnyeagle brings back poisoned prey... She and THREE APPRENTICES are poisoned: Tornpaw (the healer's apprentice) Dazzlepaw and Whisperpaw. I.... think she might be sabotaging our Clan... Despite being charismatic, she has the status of "feeling nervous"... yeah I think she's here on a mission to weaken us.

And Shiveringhare is listening closely to the forest... Did she like? Die and the siblings are all trying to cover it up (minus Dazzlezoom, who almost was held back because of how troublesome she is)

Honestly? PLOT: Dazzlezoom accedentally gets Vixenpaw killed, probably out of ignorance. Her siblings come together and try and cover it up, with Jaypelt taking the fall for it? Wow idk. She just murdered the leader's daughter in broad daylight and no cat seems to be doing anything about it????

Doesn't even give our resident gays a chance to adopt them, just claims them outright. Kinda surprised Icespot/Dancingshatter didn't take them. Or Rindlelaurel/Edelweissfur.

Also I think this is the saddest thing I've ever seen in Clangen???? Bearkit and Brownkit sneak out of camp. Brownkit is getting juniper berries and Bearkit is taken by a hawk, and Brownkit is SUPER guilty for sneaking out with her sister ;-; She's both grief stricken and in shock.

The apprentices are getting into nonsense, Spirepaw pouncing on a rock and Vinepaw forced to hide in a thorny shrub when she encounters a fox hunting alone.
Jaypelt wishes she could atone from her mistakes again. I can, perhaps, invite her back... I don't know how I want to redeem her. Maybe if specifically one of her littermates or Twigwhisker/Mottledcinder(Vixenpaw's littermates) brings home a loner, that could be her.
Poor Blisspaw only has 28xp at 12 moons. Yikes. Sunnyeagle... has honestly been really helpful these last few moons. I was thinking she might be behind the murder plots (what with blinding her own apprentice day one and then poisoning the Clan and killing two more a season later) but honestly... I think she might just have been making mistakes and stressed about the recent war.

Also, another BoughClan war. I guess this is a good time to test her loyalty. If we get some ambushes/cats sneaking in... she's def helping them.

OKAY WAIT WAIT WAIT TWIGWHISKER MURDERS BROWNPAW DURING A PATROL???? I missed the first half of that prompt, let me go digging in the patrol files to see what outcome that is... Twigwhisker had no opinions of Brownpaw, why would his eyes be "malevolent" as she dies to a crumbling cliff?


Okay I found the prompt:
"Brownpaw was trailing behind the patrol when there is a mighty clatter of stones from below them. They look around wildly, just in time for the world to tip upside down as the scree below them collapses."
Conditions: Mountain, training, min cat 3 max cat 6 (there were four, I've been sending out periodic double training patrols for the last hundred moons-ish, mostly for variation)
The one we rolled was a fail-state. the mentor has to be ambitious, bloodthirsty, cold, fierce, shameless, strict, troublesome or vengeful (which is a wider range of traits than I anticipated, honestly). There's another similar prompt where the apprentice survives, but swears their mentor tried to kill them, which the mentor denies and no one believes them. There's a chance that the cats help but the apprentice dies anyways, that they are scarred, that the patrol yells at them for being careless and they all lose relationship values. And of course, there could be successes where everyone is unharmed.

Anyways, so Twigwhisker, the brother of Vixenpaw btw, maybe murdered his own apprentice. But no one knows except Brownpaw, who is dead. Um. Did he have a paw in his sister's murder? He liked her, but idk. Or maybe her murder broke him and made him feel murder=okay? This is... a plot, Certainly. I might watch Brownpaw's StarClan statuses for a while, see if she tries to contact anyone about her being murdered... I don't know if the game treats this event as a murder at all, that another cat might come out in a moon event later claiming they were a witness or had a vision like some secret murders eventually do. I... don't know.

I'm going to leave IvyClan here though, because. Wow.

WOW I pushed the moon and was going to do a runthrough of the (tiny) IvyClan but uh. Guys.

Other than Skystar, our second leader,(who actually got lost and spent her time as an elder, retired, rather than acting leader) Bitestar is easily the longest reigning leader IvyClan has known. He died at 172 moons. There are only two other leaders in StarClan that haven't faded (and Alpinestar is at 200 moons, so will fade next moon). He mentored Billowfur, Puddlepaw, Riverstorm, Tinyswan, Vinespots and Owlfrost.
So Flowerstar is IvyClan's newest leader! Our... seventh, I think.

Boulderbright's nightmares finally stopped. She has a runny nose, but that's nothing compared to six moons of grief.
Finchsnap mangled a leg in a similar pitfall trap to Pebblebreeze. Oof. And Steppepaw is bit trying to help him escape.
Pebblebreeze's broken leg infects, so does Owlfrost from birth.

Owch, Owlfrost dies from birth complications.
Marshpaw gets a claw scratch from a border skirmish.

YIKES more infections. Marshpaw's wound infects, and Pebblebreeze's infection is now festering.
It's not the best timing, but Boulderbright and Divawish both announce they're expecting kits. They both go to the nursery early, worried after Owlfrost died of birth complications.
Mitzi saves Steppepaw from a BounceClan warrior's clawstrike during a raid, taking it herself.

We also get a warrior named Bluebellspirit, an awesome tortie that defected from BounceClan during the war. I think she's Flowerstar's friend. They were probably apprentices together, and Flowerstar managed to get her out of the horrible conditions there. Maybe freeing Bluebellspirit was why the war started in the first place.

Pebblebreeze dies of his festering wound, and Finchsnap's leg needed to be amputated.
I don't think Lightningpaw could perform the surgery, though. Flowerstar comes back with a leather collar on her neck... I think she took Finchsnap to twolegs to save his life after seeing Pebblebreeze die.

Also Finchsnap and Sprucechasm become mates? I knew Finchsnap was turbo gay but I didn't think he had any crushes. They must have spent a lot of time in the healer's den together; Finch is on and off struggling with phantom pain in his amputated limb.

We rescue a loner that was being attacked by a dog. Her back was broken and she couldn't flee, but the warriors bravely lured the dog off while Ratspots brought her to safety. Welcome to Shaleslip, even if we don't know if she'll recover from such a big injury. She's also rolled a 2 and so is intact.


This is a good place to pause for the night, with a full page of cats and a lot of incoming apprentices. I can't believe how much happens!! Esp when the Clan is so small and moons go by so fast. We're doing well but wow did so many cats die young :( only a few managed to live to adulthood.

I don't know how this will influence their relationship... Sparkswarm hated Flowerstar (maybe rightly so, after what happened with Sleeksteep) but Lightningdapple, as medicine cat beside her for many years, of course respected her greatly. OOf.
Shaleslip also dies this moon :( Her infection got even worse.

New mediator Cavethroat got to mediate his other mediators Sparkswarm and Blossomstripe this moon, which was adorable.
I also think I might use ONE of the three to mediate away some hate bars... I usually only click random because while having more pips is nice, INTENTIONALLY choosing them is really, really overpowered. I feel it's a happy medium to get the bonuses if we have mediators (and mediators have to choose for themselves, so I often don't have any).
We have hate bars on:
Lightningdapple for Fallenface AND Cavethroat
Cavethroat for Fallenface (both hate and resentment)
Hazypelt for Cavethroat
But Cavethroat has a huge crush on Hazypelt and Fallenface has a huge respect bar for Lightningdapple. No cat has mutual hate and are all neutral with the cats that hate them.

Also I've been doing 6 cat training with the apprentices and these new events are so cool! I got a big battle training patrol, one where Snowecho had to train them in camp chores, and one where they tried to learn a legendary battle move and failed. And now one where they made the apprentices slow down and learn stretches before injuring themselves on training cute.

Leafpath, BounceClan's deputy, defects to our side during the war. Unlike IvyClan, who doesn't care about half-Clan or half-blood kits and only cares about loyalty, often fights with BounceClan and sometimes BoughClan who believe in a more strict application of the Code. Leafpath was found to have helped a molly who had half-Clan kits hide their origins by claiming to be the father himself, but was later discovered and thrown out of the Clan. The murders of the queen and kits was what sparked this ideological war between IvyClan and BounceClan.
