Solomon »
Nothing at all, eh? Solomon's eyes narrowed, his tail twitching as he pondered the other tom's words. Sure, there was no blood straining the ground, and the other tom wasn't in so much distress or pain that he couldn't talk or move, but he was still injured. Injury meant weakness, and where there was weakness came predators. And in this kind of weather, the last thing any cat needed was some nosy fox or badger sniffing around. Solomon knew he didn't have to help this cat, and a part of him didn't want to help this stranger, but he knew if he didn't do something this cat would stand around and bleed all over the place.
With a roll of his eyes Solomon stepped closer, eyeing the injured tom's paw. Luckily there wasn't much blood, but again, blood was blood. Solomon couldn't afford a predator rummaging about and scaring what little prey was around. "I don't smell any other cat," he grumbled, sniffing the air. All he caught scent of was the cold. The snow was endless. Solomon couldn't wait until this stars-forsaken winter was over. His stomach rumbled in a cruel twist if irony - he was already a slender tom in figure, but this leaf-bare had cut him down to the bone. This was why he wanted this tomcat gone - injuries called predators into the area. Predators in the area meant no prey, and there was already no prey to be found.
Solomon nodded toward the other cat's paw. "What really happened? Step on a rock?" A simple wound on the paw would be an easy fix. Solomon knew how to do treat that. Anything more and he was useless, but again, how hard could treating a wound even be?
Wila »
Yeah, the ground had leaped up to mess her up. She'd go with that. That could be the reason for her falling.
She smiled softly at the ginger tom, glad to have him around. It was embarrassing that she had managed to mess up so many times already, but she had to admit that she would much rather mess up around Flame than another cat; he wouldn't get angry at her or annoyed. Instead, he would offer to help, would offer to make her feel better, and just having him around made her feel better.
Without Flame having to do anything but be by her side, Wila instantly perked right back up, and to make things even better, it was clear that the tree-bridge was right in front of them. She trilled with excitement, carefully stepping forward. She was eager to make it yet she was conscious of where she put her paws, not wanting to fumble and fall a third time today. This was the furthest she had ever been. Home was but a memory right now, a long distance away. The warmth of her den, the love she received from her twolegs...all so far away. Chai was far away, too. She didn't have to worry about his nagging while she was out here. She didn't have to worry about him pressing her for more than she was willing to give. Out here, she could do whatever she wanted. Be whoever she wanted to be. Stand beside whoever she wanted to stand by.
Gingerly she placed her paws on the tree, claws unsheathing to dig deep into the bark for a steadier grip. Wila took a quick glance back toward Flame before leaping up, putting her entire body onto the tree and taking a few more steps. Flame's story about the cat falling into the water and drowning came back to her, slowing her steps. Wila swallowed harshly, telling herself to not dare look down at the frozen water below. If she fell in... No, if she fell in, Flame would save her. She had Flame to protect her. He wouldn't have to protect her because she could do this all by herself without a problem.
Just a few more steps and the moor would be underneath her paws. The moor. A new place to explore. A new wilderness to discover.

Feathertalon
Rush unconsciously stiffened as Solomon approached; it'd been a while since he had interaction with another cat, let alone an annoyed tomcat. But he wasn't one to crawl away meekly from anyone, so he stood in place. "Not a... big sense of humor I'm assuming?" he goaded with a smile, slightly amused that the other cat actually checked the air for another cat. "Oh it's some shards of clear twoleg rock, actually..." he explained, flipping his paw to present the injury. The clear shard was embedded nastily in his pawpad; simply yanking it out would only cause the bleeding to worsen, and more blood was the last thing they needed right now. He hissed frustratedly. "One of them must have wandered into the area and dropped it. Mousedunged creatures littering." The biting cold was turning his paws numb. He knew he would have to get this wound sorted out, but with no cobwebs to stop the bleeding...what was he to use?

Honey -- The Forest | With Shadow - runningsky123 Well… now she kind of wanted to see it happen. The simple concept of somecat chasing their prey into the stream was amusing to her. She couldn’t help but laugh a little alongside Shadow at the thought. Of course he’d been exaggerating – nobody in their right mind would chase their prey so intensely. The think anything else was simply absurd.
With an agreement that he’d join her, Honey gave a light nod and picked up his catch. “Let’s get moving,” she meowed words muffled through the fur of the rodent. There was little hesitation as she turned to begin the trek to the water’s edge, though her pace was slow and relaxed. After all, there was certainly no rush to see what lay on the other side. “You know, can’t say I’ve ever paid much attention to what’s at the other side of the river until now. Only ever go this way when I’m desperate for a drink. Think we’ll see anything interesting?”
What would qualify as interesting anyway? Really, how different could the other side of the river be? If the only major difference was the fact that it was all open space, perhaps it wasn't even worth making the journey. Then again, she supposed one could say that about many places.
It wasn't too long before she could scent the river on the frigid air, and suddenly she was very aware of just how close she lived to it. Huh - she'd thought it would've taken longer to get there.
Bo & Alecto -- Farm, The Fields | With Spark & Heather - runningsky123 With Heather tucked under him, he offered her a quick nod at her confirmation of her current standing. It’d certainly be a wicked fight should the new dog want try anything, especially with the way Spark had positioned himself between them. While not bred for confrontation, he’d seen with the collie could do when he put his mind to it. So he watched, brown eyes trained on Alecto as she stared the lot of them down. To her credit, she hadn’t rushed into anything just yet.
She huffed, her glare at the herding dog becoming more intense. “Are you accusing me of something?” Alecto growled, words accompanied with another flash of her teeth as her ears angled back. Sure, she knew she wasn’t the most ‘reigned in’ dog, but it wasn’t as if she’d had any malice in her heart when she’d gone for the tabby. At least, she was fairly sure she didn’t, not before, that is. Now, thought, tensions were building and Spark was getting on her nerves. Where did he get off telling her how to treat the farm animals, anyway? “I won’t have some herding dog talking down to me.”
Bo had resigned himself to watching the altercation, noting how she seemed to be intentionally escalating the situation. Even as she bit out her words, she’d taken another step forward, a clear test of boundaries in her new home. Despite the tiny bit of blood beading on her nose, it seemed this new dog was used to getting her way. No sooner than she’d braved another step with her teeth bared had he stepped out from behind the show dog, careful to avoid accidentally kicking Heather as he lunged at the other guardian with a snarl.
He didn’t enjoy having to be like this, snapping at his fellow canines and forcing them to stand down. A necessary evil, unfortunate as it was. The moment was short though it was loud, the larger of the pair easily forcing the other down despite the way she snapped and kicked at him. There was growling and snarling, accompanied by snapping jaws and quickly enough, a yelp. By then Bo had her pined and kept her there with a firm hold at the neck. When it was evident she’d submitted, Bo released her with a warning growl. “This isn’t your farm, not yet. You don’t ever start anything with any animal that lives here. Understand?”
Light brown eyes flicked between the dog who stood over her and Spark, clearly shocked that something had come of her pushing. “Yeah- Yeah, I understand.” With that, the other moved, shaking out his pelt to dispel the tension in his own body. She waited a moment, watching the other three before she stood and did the same.

Kuta -- Traveling the Moor | With Gray Sky - whispering Amber eyes could only watch as the other scowled briefly at the sky above them. Perhaps he was looking for the birds of prey they’d just been discussing? Or perhaps he was just thinking. Regardless of which it may have been, for once the tall tom didn’t pry, instead parting his jaws and drinking deep the scents around them. Before he could think that they should start moving, Gray Sky continued on to describe a hunting practice from his home. Using another cat as bait sounded unpleasant to him – what if something went wrong? His mother showed clawed an ear off if he’d ever dared to use his younger sisters for such a thing. Not that he would have, but still. Frowning a little at the thought, Kuta looked to Gray Sky again. “I can’t imagine a hawk tastes good enough to use another cat as a lure. At least, not around here.”
Truthfully, he didn’t have much else to say on the matter, so he flicked his tail as he trotted off once more. He could smell the rabbits and their burrows, though was more so looking for a hole he could wiggle a leg into to scare them out. After all, they wouldn’t come out on their own. At one point, he parted from the tabby’s side, nose to the ground as he followed something a bit fresher. The trail gave way to a hole just big enough for him to stretch a front leg into and grasp around with sharp claws. Moments after he did, fear-scent and the sound of pounding paws from where he’d left the other reached him. “Another success~” Kuta mused quietly to himself.
Retracting his leg, He loped back over to where he’d originally parted from Gray Sky, arriving just in time to see him vanish as a grey streak between the grasses. Perhaps he should’ve voiced his plan… Oh well~ The savannah took of, casual pace quickly moving up to a sprint. Powerful legs carried him through the heather and grasses with ease, allowing him to catch up with the large tom, where quickly realized one of them was running a losing race. “I’ll get it!” Kuta chirped quickly, pushing himself to move faster without so much as waiting for a response.
When he ran like this, it was easy to forget how cold it really was. Blood pounded in his ears, wind blew through his short pelt as he raced and pivoted with his prey, and stars did his legs burn, but he loved it. Claws dug into the frozen dirt beneath him as he forced himself closer to the frightened hare, and with one last push he leapt towards it. He was able to dig his claws into it’s haunches, pulling it back towards himself as he landed and deliver the final blow. His chest was heaving, but satisfaction coursed through him and glittered in his eyes still as he stood with the hare caught between his jaws, turning to location his companion.

Shadow Location: The Forest With: Honey ( Myst) “Sounds like a good adventure.”, Shadow said, following after her as they headed towards the stream. He figured he’d eventually have to venture back across the stream. He couldn’t stay on this side, terrified of the place for his whole life. Besides, the incident moons ago had been near the end of winter, when warmth had weakened the ice. It was still plenty cold enough for the ice to be solid, not that they even needed to touch it. The tree across the water was more than enough. He let Honey lead the way, following her slightly swaying tail. He definitely hadn’t expected to befriend a forest cat so quickly, yet here he was. Though that was mostly because he’d always been told forest cats were mean, scrappy, didn’t get along with others. He supposed he shouldn’t have believed everything he heard around town though. Honey taking him in during the storm had been proof enough for him of that, and every visit since had solidified that. She was kind, and caring, and pretty selfless. Not many would share their home and prey during a snowstorm to a cat they’d just met. Spark and Heather Location: The Fields With: Bo and Alecto If Bo hadn’t stepped in then, Spark was about to. This newcomer, this pup, didn’t get to come in here, all but attack his friend, and then talk down to him. She might have been bigger than him, but that didn’t mean anything. He didn’t have to though, as he felt Bo brush past him as he leapt at Alecto. He stepped back, putting himself between the two and Heather to they didn’t get too close to her accidentally. Spark had gotten the same treatment, once. He’d been young when he’d come here, and he’d gotten too rough with a lamb while he was just messing around. A bark and a leg swipe later, and he’d been curled up on the ground under Bo, tail between his legs. That had been all he’d needed to learn the way of things. He had a feeling it wouldn’t be that quick for the newcomer. She definitely seemed much more arrogant than he’d ever been. He glanced past them, noticing the farmer in the distance, obviously watching. He wouldn’t intervene though, Spark knew that. He didn’t get involved in the very few altercations that had happened. He seemed to trust Bo to handle it. He had a feeling altercations would be much more common now. He turned, glancing back at Heather, nosing over her fur slightly. “You alright?”, he asked, his voice worried. “I’m ok.”, she said, still looking a bit shaken up. She watched as Bo stepped back, letting the newcomer up, watching her warily. Now she realized there hadn’t been teeth or snarling, but really, the dog could learn some manners. “I’m… gonna go back to the barn. I’ll see you around.”, she told Spark, her tail still puffed up slightly. He nodded, but looked sad at that. He’d been hoping she’d join them on the tour, but he understood her not wanting to help show the new dog around. Hell, he wouldn’t be surprised if Bo didn’t want to show her around anymore. The excitement of a newcomer had been replaced with tension. Flame Location: The Tree Bridge With: Wila ( Feathertalon) Flame leapt up onto the tree behind Wila after a moment of collecting himself. The bark was all but worn away, leaving silvered wood in its place. It was old and cracked enough to provide a clawhold though, and the trunk was wide enough that he didn’t feel in danger of falling off. The surface was dipped more in certain spots, at first confusing Flame, until he looked closer. “Wila, look. They’re pawprints.”, he said. The small dips in the wood were perfect cat stride lengths apart, leading the way across the stream. Had that many cats really used this bridge? How long had this tree been here to have the echo of that many pawsteps? ((Don’t mind me casually laying the foundations for ‘oh shit there were other cats here’ lol))

CottonLocation: Moor With: Creamsicle and Smoke ( Feathertalon and whispering ) The tom seemed preoccupied with digging. After all, he was in a hurry with his own cat to care for. Yet that fact did little to quiet the storm that built within the ticked brown molly. He blatantly refused her offer, refused to answer her question and to top it all off he went as far to call her ‘too weak’ and laughed about it! In front of the kit, no less! Her short fur bristled as if lightning had crackled across her pelt. Cotton was about ready to spit out a retort and demand answers when something soft and warm brushed by her. In genuine surprise, her head whipped around to look at Creamsicle. Like a spring breeze, her presence parted the clouds that hovered over Cotton, letting in rays of light. Cotton’s slitted gaze eased at the sight of the young white molly and her fur smoothed. Creamsicle. The child of Splash. Her own kit's kit. All this time and she had been oblivious to that fact. The fact that Creamicle was her own kin. The growing white kit had already become something like kin in the time they had spent together. This new revelation only increased her fondness for the little one, but along with it came a deep set fear of what was to come. The kit already seemed older as she strode past and helped the son of Cinder. Cotton released her remaining frustration in a snort as she turned away from the two digging cats. The old brown molly looked up at the wide grey-blue winter sky in exasperation. Her tail lashed slowly behind her. She could hear the sound of paws scraping snow behind her. Creamsicle’s voice spoke up, bringing forth an alternative, and Cotton’s ears lifted at the idea. It usually wouldn’t be something she’d consider, but if it meant getting more information on Splash… it might just be worth it. Cotton turned back to look at them, studying them with her sharp gaze. Creamsicle’s interference had given her the chance to think about things with a more rational mind. They had been out a while, and still had to find food before the day was out. With the day as cold as it was, it was probably best not to stay out much longer, especially for one as young as Creamsicle. Cotton padded up to the white kit and began nuzzling her ears, both warming them and feeling how cold they were. The ears were usually the first to go in the cold. The sun was higher in the sky, and the air wasn’t quite as as stinging as it had been earlier that morning. Her yellow eyes lifted to meet Smoke’s gaze, deciding to see how the healer would respond before making her decision known. (My sister has taken in a cat and it was verified to be 4 months old. I just realized that a four month old cat is much bigger than Warrior Cats made me think. XD ) ~~~ (I’ll wait for Poppy’s response before posting a Frazzle! ^^)

And how will it work getting everyone in their respective places? just random thoughts to maybe help me with future responses i am soooo sorry that i am just now seeing this, my bad! timeline isn't really a set in stone thing, tbh. this role-play is a more slow-paced one so we kinda go at the pace that most of our members can keep up with between school/work/etc. we're currently in the phase of characters being introduced to the idea of clans and whatnot, and after this we'll start going into more of the phase of clans finding territories and whatnot Once we get past this phase I'll probably skip the role-play into new-leaf and we'll go from there as well ^^ 𝚏𝚛𝚘𝚜𝚝𝚢 ❄ - sounds good and have fun on vacation!! c':

Solomon »
Solomon simply looked down at the other tom, tail swishing in a thoughtful sway, eyes narrowed in a cold glare. Humor was not a skill needed to survive. Humor did not strengthen borders. Humor did not fill bellies. A cat who had time for humor had way too much free time on their paws. His eyes, unemotional and unforgiving, rolled in annoyance, a flicker of emotion flashing in their amber depths. This other tom was lucky Solomon was offering to help when he could so easily just walk off and let this thistledown fluff-brained tom bleed out all over the place, or just freeze to death out in this brutal cold.
That cold gaze drifted downward, observing the wounds that patched the other feline’s pad. Odd, translucent shards punctured the tom’s paw pad, small rivulets of scarlet blood trickling out from the injured flesh. Solomon sniffed. That wound had to be rather painful. While pawpads were meant to harden and become accustomed to rougher elements, puncture wounds in such an area were rather delicate things. His thoughts traveled back in time, an image of himself as a kit dancing about in the heather coming to mind. How free-spirited he had been until pressing his paw right down on a patch of thistle, the needles splintering into his foot without mercy. Solomon involuntarily winced, memories of the pain seeping back into his mind. He had squirmed and cried, his mother quick to come to his aide and help pull the needles out. She had been kind back then…loving, gentle even.
The ticked tabby squared his shoulders and pushed those thoughts away. He needed to focus on this rather than what was in the past.
Solomon padded away from the other tom, inching back toward the snow-covered woodland away from the creekbed. ”You’ll need cobweb,” he called over to the injured cat as he began sniffing around in the dead undergrowth. ”Don’t know how much we can find, though.” Leaf-bare was the worst time to get injured, small or not, but Solomon could at least get the bleeding under wrap. He just needed cobweb, if he could find any. If this tom could help and find any.

He never really took it too hard if others found him insufferable--and they typically did. Still, he was pretty lucky that this stranger even gave him the time of day. The least he could do is cooperate, lest he bleed out like an idiot. "I know of some hollow trees out in the forest; you get into them from under their roots," he cocked his head towards the woodland. "I've settled down in one for the winter. There's no webs in it, but we could try the others--maybe a spider found its way in one and not a badger." Rush grinned.
