(You're fine ) Shadowwind wasn't sure if she was getting through to her apprentice but she knew Foxpaw would learn in time. "Let's find some more prey to practice on," she said.

Foxpaw nodded in agreement, trying to force herself not to be so reluctant. Her claws dug in and out of the soft dirt beneath paw and her tail swished slightly. She scented the air, padded a few fox lengths away, scented, noticed, crouched. She watched the mouse. The slight twitch of its nose, the small movement of the paws. Then, she noticed how it tensed a heartbeat, relaxed, tensed, relaxed and finally bent down, gnawing at a blade of grass. She stilled her tail and angled her ears in to directions. One listened for her mentor, the other listening for the rabbit.

Shadowwind waited and watched next to her apprentice's first catch of the day. She was eager to see how her apprentice would handle her next hunt.

Foxpaw slowly crept forward, gaze locked onto her prey. When she was a tail-length away, she jumped, landing on the rabbit and killing it with a swift bite to the neck. She'd only hunted like this a few times, but she still preferred her way better.

"Good job," said Moonshadow, "Let's bury these and see if we can find one more to bring back to camp."

{{ Sorry for not responding sooner! }}
Cherrystar nodded in agreement, rain was fine for the most part, but if it carried on and got worse it could mean trouble for WindClan. "On the bright side, more rain means more herbs." She mewed, recalling how low the herb store got during leaf-bare.
