Foxtail stood there in horror. There was no way they would get out of here alive if they fought! "Please stop!" She begged. She had no other choice, in this situation she couldnt do what she wanted to do and attack these cats becuase they were outnumbered! She stepped in between the two toms as she spoke.

"You're in our territory if you haven't noticed. We aren't on your stupid rocks right now." Cloverwind pointed out, pounding his front paw on the dirt under paw. He had retreaded to the edge of the forest with Foxtail when she had tried to escape and it looked like these stone-heads hadn't realized they followed them in.

Rippletail snarled, looking around. So Clovertail was right, they were on ThunderClan territory. Only barely so, but the deputy knew he had to respect the fact that he had no right to challenge them on their own territory. "Fine. We'll leave. But next time we see you on sunningrocks, we won't show mercy." He snapped. He cast one more look at Foxtail before whipping around and stalking off.

Cloverwind nodded. "We won't be on your stones!" He called after him before turning to Foxtail. "You were pretty brave." He said, nudging her playfully. "We should probably report this to our leader, but I'd rather blow off some steam before returning back to camp. Want to go to the shallow part of the river that leads toward the sandy hollow?" He asked, wanting to cool off.

Foxtail let out her breath. Something about the tom made her want to stay. She didnt know why. She shook her head and retreated toward the forest. "Come on Clovertail." She murmured. The words from th tom repeated in her head from before. What did he mean by that? Why did he look at her like that?

Foxtail looked up at the tom. "Sure!" She purred, shaking her fur. She didnt know why she was thinking of that mouse-brained tom. She flicked her tail over Clovertail's ear and darted toward the shallow river.

Clovewind sprinted after her, quickly taking the lead. The wind in his whiskers felt good and he couldn't wait to cool off in the river. Then he remembered how the Riverclan deputy looked at Foxtail and something burned inside of him. He assumed it was just because of the skirmish, but something nagged at him that it was more than that. He shook his head, realizing he had slowed his pace without realizing it and picked up his pace.

Gingerstar, Dewstripe's sister, curled around Leafkit, nuzzling the small body. Ever since Dewstripe had died, she had been stricken by grief. Now she was Leafkit and Darkkit's foster mother. She still had milk left over from her previous litter, and the motherly instinct was still strong in her. She smiled as Darkkit yawned, and she licked his tiny black head softly.

Foxtail purred as she jumped into the water. Droplets splashed up her back. She turned and stood in the water, looking at Clovertail. "Come in!" She meowed as she splashed around. The cool water was nice on the hot day, making her worries float away.

Cloverwind nodded, jumping in the water, the splash drenching Foxtail and himself. "When I first saw this as an apprentice I jumped in and got my mentor all wet. She was mad at me for a whole moon." He purred in amusement.

Foxtail purred and ignored him. She headbutted him, pushing him back into the water after he sprayed her. "Who said I wanted to leave?" She purred and jumped on him in the water. She liked this cat for some reason. Almost the same feeling she got when she saw the large tom from Riverclan.

Cloverwind fell in the river in surprise and felt Foxtail jump on him. He gave her a daft smile before pushing her off and swiping at her ears playfully, claws sheathed. His tail swished, stirring the water.

Cloverwind's ears burned as she licked his nose. He let out a laugh and sat down in the water. "Have you ever tried fishing?" He asked curiously. "Once I tried, but I fell in and got soaked." He purred in amusement. He liked the water a lot and didn't get why most thunderclan cats didn't like it, although, he would never leave the forest and the taste of fish was disgusting.

"Foxtail, are you alright?" Cloverwind asked her when he noticed her shiver. He looked up at the cloudy sky. Wasnt it just sunny? "I think we might be better another rain, we should head back to camp, don't want to get more soaked than we already are." He laughed.

Cloverwind pulled himself out of the water and padded alongside Foxtail. "Hey, if you're not feeling good, you should go to the medicine cat." He advised, worried for her. It seemed like she went from total joy to ... well he didn't know how to describe her mood.

Cloverwind was baffled at first, but he didn't resist. He pressed in a little as well as they continued on toward camp. He let his green eyes take in her form while he used his ears to make sure he wouldn't trip over anything. His tail swished with slight amusement and affection.
