Winterpaw shrugged in return. Mikel had pricked her interest, and she didn't want to do away with him so quickly. When he mentioned his name, she cocked her head in a cute way. "Mikel? That's a strange name." She tried to repeat it. It rolled off her tongue in a weird way.

Mikel laughed at Skypaw, "That sounds...a bit complicated. But cool, at the same time! And probably convenient." He glanced over at Winterpaw and gave her a small smile, "Heh, I guess it is a weird name, compared to what you guys go by. It's a pretty...well, it's still unique where I lived...but still. My owner picked it out for me, back when I was younger and had one."

Winterpaw stared at him, a pretty smile on her face. He was a weird cat, but she liked that. She decided to ask him a question. "How old are you?" She said, her dewy blue eyes focused on him.

Mikel looked at Winterpaw and gave a happy grin. Wow, a grin? That was weird. These cats were starting to make him feel...like he used to. I guess that was what being lonely did to you. "Uh, I'm sixteen moons old."
He then glanced back to Skypaw, "Yeah, I guess you could say that. But, then me and my friends were put in a shelter and we escaped together. My...um, my 'friend', Sherlock, he told us he would save us. That he'd found a place around there that would take us in. And...I believed him. I always did..." Mikel had this far away look in his eyes. Then he blinked and sighed, "He and my other two friends were killed by foxes about a week ago. So, I've been traveling around, just...searching for nothing, I guess."

"You're a bit older than us." Winterpaw commented. She felt drawn to the loner, like she had never been drawn to any cat ever before. It was a soft and warm feeling. At his reveal of his past, she walked a little closer to him, eyes soft with grief. "I - I'm so sorry."

Mikel smiled down at the she-cat softly, eyes full of grief, "Heh, thanks. I'm...okay." He noticed the way the she-cat looked at him. Like, she really felt compassion towards him. It made him feel weird. Almost like...
No. No, he couldn't feel like that again. He couldn't feel warm and fuzzy. He couldn't....

Winterpaw simply stared at him, feeling an emotion that she couldn't put a name to. Later though, she'd find out it was called love. Her soft and clear eyes were focused on Mikel. She leaned near to him, and whispered. "Are you going to meet Lightningpaw tonight?"

Lightning hissed and called over her shoulder. "Dont bother, why not meet Winterpaw instead." She meowed. The sarcasm just started to roll out of her mouth. She didnt feel like any cat appreciated her anymore and it started to make her irritable. She stalked away toward the camp and hid in a hollow log. She wished someone would appreciate her.
Is anyone interested in making a new tom apprentice for my she-cat? XD XD Haha just wondering!! ))
