Icepaw crouched low as he moved slowly forward, his eyes fixated on a mouse, who was nibbling away on a nut. He pounced and delivered the killing blow in once swift movement. Icepaw had always preferred being out in the forest at night; he felt more comfortable being alone.

Leopardpaw was in camp with her brother, her eyes flickered towards the sky and then to the entrance. It was a new moon so the sky was completely dark aside from the stars. She wanted to be out in the forest. She looked at Lynxpaw, "I'm going for a walk. I'll see you later."
Lynxpaw nodded a bit hesitantly, "Alright Leopardpaw. Just be careful." He meowed
Leopardpaw nodded and disappeared out of the camp and into the forest, padding quietly deeper into the trees.

(Senior year was really fun for me, but the beginning of the year was so stressful because of the college process so be prepared for that! Haha)
Icepaw pricked his ears up, hearing a distant sound of a clanmate nearby. He left his mouse beneath a tree for when he could pick it up later on his trip back to camp and made his way towards the river.

Monsters tail was fluffed out to its full extent as she ran, the fox on her heels, a hungry, desperate look on its face. Her chest heaved, and despite the terror and adrenaline, she could feel her stomach growl, she could feel her body's weakness. Sliding once again under bushes, she found herself at the base of a large tree, its roots encasing her. She tried jumping on them, but her back leg gave way due to the lack of claws, and she landed with a thud. The fox stared, taking in this moment. Monster only had one option that she could see. She arched her back and spat, sending the fox a nice, menacing hiss, although the fear in her eyes probably betrayed her as the fox let out a growl and lunged forward, and she sprinted out of its way, past its side, just barely enough that she could feel a few of her furs from her tail being dragged out of her pelt by its teeth.

Leopardpaw padded towards the sound of the river, she was unaware that one of her clanmates was also in the forest at the time.

Icepaw glanced back slightly at the sound of paw steps further behind him, but he kept his pace as he got closer to the river. After reaching the river, he stood at one of the banks and put his front paws slightly in the water, enjoying the feeling of the cool rushing water.

Leopardpaw stopped at the river and looked down at the reflection of stars on the water. She sighed and lay on the rock she was on, her front paws just barely over the edge and her head resting gently on her paws as she looked up at the sky.

Icepaw looked to his right as he saw a figure of a cat laying down on one of the rocks. He noticed it was Leopardpaw, one of his fellow apprentices. He averted his gaze back to the water, unsure if she had noticed he was standing there.

Leopardpaw sighed softly, staring up at the stars. "Are you up there mother? Are you proud of me?" A small whimper escaped her and she closed her eyes.

Icepaw looked back to his right when he heard Leopardpaw talking, and flicked his ear uncomfortably, not sure if he should be over hearing this. He started to back away slowly out of the water, but dislodged a few pebbles so they noisily bounced down and into the water.

Leopardpaw jumped in surprise, leaping to her paws but slipping on the rock and falling into the river with a loud splash, going immediately under the water.

Icepaws eyes widened as he bounded quickly towards the rock where Leopardpaw fell in. He waited to see if she would resurface, wondering if she could swim.

Leopardpaw came up further downstream, her fur was matted against her frame and was dragging her down as she struggled to keep her head above water. She could swim but not well.

Seeing Leopardpaw struggling, Icepaw leaped into the water, swimming quickly with the current to get to her. As he reached her, he grabbed Leopardpaws scruff and pulled up to keep her head above the surface of the water. Icepaw started to head back towards the river bank.

Leopardpaw felt her scruff being grabbed but couldn't tell who was helping her. She felt ground as they reached the river bank and dragged herself up, looking back to see who her rescuer was. "Icepaw?" She asked, recognizing the tom.
