“What kind of cat would I be to be telling you such secrets, Warblerwind? You’ve all already been told how this can happen. And yet, nobody believed him when he tried to tell you.” Robinstar laughed again, her tail swishing lazily as she mused, referring to Goldberry’s insistence that something else had made him kill Silversting all those moons ago, something dark and evil invading his mind. “Even if I told you now what you can already assume, would anyone really believe you?” She gave a terrifying grin. “When Spiritstar loses her last life tonight, Skyclan will only have you to blame. When you push her off this ledge, the envious son so tired of being seen as the leader’s kit, they won’t believe that Spiritstar had her sister in her head.” Warblerwind faltered. He could see no way out of this that didn't end in him appearing to murder his own mother and left to deal with the consequences. But he knew it was the only way to rid SkyClan of the threat of Robinstar. He would just have to go with her. "I find that I'm all right with that," he said, taking a threatening pace toward her. "I'd rather be remembered as a killer than allow you to tear SkyClan apart using my mother's face, and ruin her memory for every cat that ever knew her. You've done enough damage, and I'm not so stupid to believe I didn't play some part in it." He slid into a half-crouch, his claws glinting in the blood-red sunset. "I never should have trusted you, but I must thank you. If it weren't for you and your demons in the Dark Forest, I doubt I'd have the strength to do what I must. This ends here and now, Robinstar." Robinstar could already hear the faint noises of approaching pawsteps, her eyes narrowing slowly at Warblerwind as she challenged the tom, aiming to goad him into the attack that would send them both toppling from the Jagged Drop. With luck, his Clanmates would witness the last moment, and see who Spiritstar's killer was, her own son. "You think this ends here, kit? This will never end. As long as I am in existence, the Clans will never be free of me, of my existence. I already live on in every kit tale, every hushed whisper, every agonizing nightmare of the days when I ruled these Clans, my Adderstar and I. Nothing you do will ever change that. You failed to save your mother, you failed to see that you were and are nothing but a pawn that I made use of, and now you will only be remembered for the horrendous deeds you have done." She gave another chilling grin. "Don't look so forlorn about it though, Warblerwind. For all you've done, you've really shaped up to be one of our family. It runs in your blood, just as I do." She sneered.

Willow)) "Safe travels. And good luck, with Lightningstar. I won't forget that you brought Silvercloud home to us. I promise." Flarestorm mewed to Nettlepatch and Ravenshade, his resolve strong to one day repay them for their actions. He watched them go, sighing heavily and feeling anguish run through him. "Well, it's obvious now." Redspring mewed in a hushed voice to Ashfeather, grateful to see him close. She looked over at Willownose before continuing. "Spiritstar's been through greater losses than this. I suppose Silvercloud was more special to her than most, but she'd never talk to her own mate like that." She looked over at Slateheart with a rare empathy. "Poor tom..." "Skyflight." As if reading the senior Warrior's stance, Poppyclaw called her over from his spot as he finished arraigning Silvercloud properly to be pressed with herbs. He looked serious, voice low as he mewed. "We'll need to find a way to get everything back in order if Spiritstar comes back in the same state she left in. Without Whitesun here, we're sitting leaderless." He glanced around sharply. --- 🌙Moonpower🌙)) "They can't?" Basilpaw whispered, as though a heavy weight had been lifted off his chest. He looked desperately at Spiderbite as he watched the tom prepare the herbs. "Why... why would Spiritstar lie and say such a horrible thing, then? Spiderbite, I know you won't believe me, but I swear, when Spiritstar was telling me this, she didn't even seem like herself at all! Like someone else entirely different was there instead. Can a leader change entirely, when they lose a life? I can't think of anything else it could be, and I know it sounds crazy!" He blabbered. --- Foxstar26)) Plumwillow quickly followed after Quickwing, glancing back only once at the mourning Clan, before she slipped quietly out of camp. The run across the territory was quiet, but she felt in sync with the older she-cat, as though they had run together on missions countless times before. But now was no time to think about her deep affections for Quickwing, even if her confession to her had been interrupted by Silvercloud's body being returned to camp. Plumwillow felt her stomach drop as they got closer to the Jagged Drop. She called out to Quickwing. "What would they be doing all the way out here, Quickwing?!"

She sneered. Warblerwind wanted to deny it, to tell her she was wrong, but he couldn't. It was all true, wasn't it? He would be remembered as a killer, and spend eternity prowling the Dark Forest, just as his aunt before him. It was better this way. This way, Robinstar wouldn't be able to use Spiritstar's body to ruin her memory any longer; she'd be remembered as an incredible leader who lashed out once in immeasurable grief before being struck down by her useless son. It's better this way. And when we're both gone, at least I won't have to be in a world without you. I'm sorry, Slateheart. He looked once more at the shape of his mother he'd loved so dearly. I'm sorry, Spiritstar. It's better this way.
Claws outstretched, Warblerwind let the tidal force of rage and grief overwhelm him, launching forwards towards Robinstar. He slashed his claws across her muzzle, blood spattering his face. "I will not fail to kill you!" he screeched. He crouched before springing, thrusting his weight against hers and forcing them onto the crumbling edge of the Jagged Drop, the storm-swollen stream churning dangerously below. " We are no longer kin!"

Moonblazer Bluewing purred, butting her head against the smaller cat's shoulder. She swelled with pride at his praise, "And I couldn't ask for a more talented apprentice." She looked up at the sun above, "We should take this back to camp and show everyone what an excellent first camp you've made. Perhaps you and Rainpaw can have another session later today."
Snowtalon stood rigid. His tail lashed furiously. Silvercloud was dead, and the rest of their patrol was missing, including Whitesun. And their leader didn't seem to give two mousetails. StarClan has abandoned us. She declared, before exiting the camp leaving his clanmates to panic. Inside, the white-furred tom boiled over with rage. He had to find his brother. Whether it was the last thing he did. He has to be okay. He was the last sibling Snowtalon had left. And he would not be lost due to Spiritstar's negligence. (open to any interaction, just wanted to include his thoughts!)

Quickwing ran easily besides Plumwillow. “I don’t know.” She shook her head, slowing as the approached. She could hear their voices up ahead. It sounded like arguing! She glanced at Plumwillow before pushing forward. Her eyes widened as she stepped out and saw Warblerwind attack Spiritstar!

"Slateheart didn't deserve that. And that's proof that something's terribly wrong." Willownose agreed with a lash of her tail. She looked at Ashfeather with concern. "Are you holding up with all this? And your apprentice?"
"Of all the leaders I've ever known, I can't say if any of them have suffered more than Spiritstar." Firefang sighed. Why couldn't they just have peace? The easygoing tom was finding it harder to stay optimistic as the days passed with each hardship. "What will we do without her? And... and what happens if Whitesun can't be found?"

Robinstar's eyes gleamed brightly as Warblerwind began his onslaught. She didn't move to dodge his attack, allowing the blow to force her backwards against the edge of the ledge. She gave a yowl as though startled, wordlessly scrambling backwards. It wasn't until the very last second that she took Warblerwind's tackle and slammed her paws down onto his shoulders. Teeth gleaming in a grin, she mewed softly enough for only Warblerwind to hear. She could already see the horrified faces of Quickwing and Plumwillow rushing towards them. She leaned in.
"The only cat you'll have killed is your mother, my dear. She didn't lose all her lives. She still had this one." Grasping tightly with her claws, she pulled them both over the edge of the Jagged Drop, her final words breathed into Warblerwind's ears. "I will see you in the Dark Forest, Warblerwind."
The earth plummeted beneath them, the ground replaced with air and surging water as Spiritstar once again fell to her death. With a sickening crack against the stone beneath the water, and the surge of current filling her lungs, Robinstar allowed her hold over Spiritstar's mind to slacken suddenly. As soon as Spiritstar's mind was back in her body, and back in control, the world went dark with pain and water as Skyclan's leader succumbed to her final life. Only the faintest ray of sunlight shone through the water, and the sight of her son's pelt tore the last shred of life she had left in her body. She closed her eyes, guilt and grief overwhelming her, as Starclan took her for the last time.
Spiritstar was dead.
"No!" Plumwillow screeched, watching with horror as Warblerwind cried out that he would kill his mother, that they were no longer kin. Before she could even comprehend it, both of them were falling from the Jagged Drop, the water fiercely washing over them until nothing remained. Spiritstar and Warblerwind were both gone, and she felt her voice rub raw against her throat as she stood over the ledge, wailing for her leader and apprentice. She sobbed. "Quickwing!"

𝑏𝑙𝑒𝑢)) "That sounds fun!" Ledgepaw agreed with a small smile, unaware of what had happened in camp, or what had happened across the territory. All he knew was that he had completed his first squirrel catch, and he was hopeful to share the news with his mother and sisters. Sunnypaw was always out and about with Bloodrime, but Rainpaw usually got to train with him because Starlingdust and Bluewing liked eachother a whole lot. He picked up the squirrel proudly, ready to head to camp. "Snowtalon..." Tricklefrost approached the tom, her eyes imploring as she watched the beginnings of Silvercloud's vigil. She looked around, before she mewed lightly. "We'll have to send a patrol out. I'm sure Warblerwind will have her see sense, mothers listen to their kits." She tried to soothe, before her voice lowered and she mewed almost secretively. "Or, we'll take matters into our own paws, if we must..." Frozen)) "Starclan, I haven't even thought of that!" Buzzardfall breathed, her eyes wide with worry. "If Spiritstar refuses to send a patrol, surely she can't think about naming a new deputy so soon? That... that just feels like we've tossed Whitesun to the side..." She mourned, before she shook her head. "Surely we can survive a bit until we find him, right?"

Clan Announcement!!! Spiritstar has now officially lost her last life, and the Clan will proceed for the next moon without a deputy or leader. This is to allow for cats of the Clan to have their faith in Starclan waver if anyone wants their characters to be a part of the revival of Adderclan that will be occurring later in the RP! Additionally, in this gap until the next Gathering, Spiderbite will be the standing in leadership until he can determine the next leader of Skyclan, which will eventually be Quickwing! In the meanwhile, I will be editing the front page, including all the plotlines listed on the front page. The next leader and deputy are already determined and have been for quite a long time now, so we're just rolling in the change! Spiritstar has been leader of Skyclan for a very, very long time, and her life and duties reflected the changes made to restore Skyclan from the dark times of Adderclan, so thanks for allowing us to give her the send-off that's been planned for a long time now! Any questions, feel free to ask!))

The force of their fall drove the air from his lungs. He thrashed desperately against the current, trying to find his mother's body to pull her to the surface. A beam of sunshine sliced through the water, casting his shadow over his mother's limp form, as he watched her close her eyes for the last time. Spiritstar really was gone, and he had killed her. He let himself go limp in the current and the force of the raging water slammed him into a stone, his world spinning away into cold nothingness.

Mudwasp huffed and gave Echowing a small nudge, "Come on. It's pointless to try and argue right now." He grumbled, sending a final glare towards Dreamlily and Frostlight before he turned away from them. "Let's go somewhere else for now." Frostlight frowned, surprised to see how quickly both her siblings seemed to loose faith in StarClan. "I can't believe those two!" She huffed in annoyance, her tail lashing behind her as she watched Mudwasp leave with Echowing. Hawkpaw turned quickly to face her sister, "It's not your fault!" She mewed fiercely, not wanting Emberpaw to keep blaming herself for what had happened. Hawkpaw sighed and sat down with a thump, the grief of losing her parents in the Twolegplace and Silvercloud's death starting to overwhelm her, "The duty of a leader is to protect their Clanmates with each life gifted to them by StarClan. Spiritstar was doing what she was supposed to do when she went to rescue you, Emberpaw. And you weren't the only apprentice she sacrificed a life for either! Do you see Springpaw blaming herself for what had happened to her?" She looked at her sister, a sharp sadness and grief in them. In one patrol, they had lost both of their parents and now Spiritstar was refusing to send a patrol to look for them. What were they supposed to do now? "I'm sorry, Emberpaw. I'm so sorry... I want to go look for them too, but who in the Clan would even think to defy Spiritstar now? And the two of us alone would never be enough to find and save them from whoever took them from us." Hawkpaw mewed, her voice breaking as she spoke. "Sounds good to me." Echowing mewed pointedly, her eyes sharp as she and Dreamlily glared at eachother as they passed by. She looked back at Mudwasp then, her voice softening into her normal tone as she admitted. "Thank you. Even if you're being logical, it's nice to know that I don't have to face Dreamlily's foolishness by myself." "I can believe it." Dreamlily mewed softly and with a hint of bitterness as she rested her tail on Frostlight's shoulder. "If Mudwasp is talking with Echowing, I can see how she'd persuade him to be as much of a cruel foxheart as she is." She started suddenly as Withermist suddenly seemed to slip up beside them, the silent tom having made no sound as he whispered shakily to Frostlight. "Frostlight..." Withermist breathed, voice cracking. "Spiritstar's going to fall... she's going to fall for the last time. I... I don't know how to stop this..." Emberpaw wilted as Hawkpaw snapped at her, the guilt in her belly growing even stronger as she knew her sister was right. But it was impossible to not see Spiritstar's dead body fall from the ledge trying to save her. Emberpaw sank her claws into the ground at her sister's other words though, desperation in her voice as she mewed. "We have to do something! We have to! Even if it means breaking the code, we can't give up on them. They're all we have left!" She tried to urge, even if she felt like she was ready to collapse. "Of course. You already know that I stand where you stand." Mudwasp said, looking over at her as they drew away from the rest of the Clan. He gave a sigh, feeling a stab of grief at their recent losses, "None of this should've happened. We should have stopped the Twolegplace patrols as soon as the poisoned prey came into our camp." He said with a low growl, his tail lashing in anger. "It was a warning and we ignored it!" Frostlight gave Dreamlily a grateful look and was about to respond when her mate appeared, appearing more shaken up than she had ever seen him before. She gave Withermist a worried look, pressing against his side comfortingly, "What's wrong? Spiritstar is going to fall? Do you mean that she is in danger?" She asked, raising her eyes to meet his. "But we're just apprentices, Emberpaw." Hawkpaw mewed, her ears flattening against her head. She didn't want to give up on their parents just as much as Emberpaw, but what could they do against the rogues of the Twolegplace? "The group that attacked them had a lot of cats with them, what can the two of us do against them? Maybe if we were warriors we would stand a chance, but we still have a long way to go before that ever happens!"

And Starclan hasn't been any help at all. No signs, no guidance. Spiritstar has a point... I think it's proof now that they want to make us all suffer." She growled quietly, inwardly hoping for Starclan's praise to crumble in the Clan. Withermist suddenly seemed to gasp, as though he had felt something sharp in his head. He stared forwards, looking utterly shaken as he breathed. "She's gone..." He leaned close to Frostlight, eyes wild with grief. "It's all empty now. I feel... I feel nothing." He closed his eyes. "Spiritstar, and whatever was inside of her, they're gone. We can't say it, we... the Clan will panic." He whispered to her. "Then we'll persuade every Warrior to look! What other choice do we have? We can't wait for them to be killed out there, or eaten by dogs, or all that horrible stuff! They'd search for us, we just just have to get enough cats to break a little rule or two, cats have done more for less, right?" Emberpaw pleaded, her voice quaking with emotion.

Why is the deputy missing and how did they go missing? Also what do you mean your leader snapped? Do you mean SpiritStar? Did she die? What in the cat forsaken forest is happening?"

"You don't know me yet? Shoot, that's right, I haven't-" Sunnypaw exclaimed, rubbing her head with her paw before she mewed quickly. "I'm Sunnypaw. Ledgepaw's brother, the tom you met in here first. But that's another topic! Look, uhm. I know this is your first day or two here but... we have a situation. Our senior Warrior's been killed, our deputy is missing, and our leader kind of snapped, so... yeah." She summarized, giving Viperpaw a worried look. "What?" Viperpaw said tierdly wondering what the heck this cat was talking about, "Back up, I barely know anyone here except Lilth and the cats who brought me here, to be honest though I generally forgot their names," she shock her head, "Who died, how? Why is the deputy missing and how did they go missing? Also what do you mean your leader snapped? Do you mean SpiritStar? Did she die? What in the cat forsaken forest is happening?" "Silvercloud died. She was our most senior Warrior, and Spiritstar's best friend." Sunnypaw explained. "Whitesun was leading a hunting patrol out to Twolegplace because we have an alliance with Thunderclan and got extra prey from there.... but I guess something went wrong and some rouges killed Silvercloud, and Whitesun and Jadefeather are nowhere to be found. And Spiritstar said Starclan turned their backs on us, and yelled right at her mate's face! She's not dead, but she left camp for a bit with her son, Warblerwind, hopefully to cool off." Sunnypaw took a long breath of air, before nodding. "That's what happened, I think."

"No hard feelings but the only cat I know that you mentioned is SpiritStar, and if she's not dead then nothing SkyClan is dealing with concerns me," Viperpaw felt pity for Sunnypaw, and started to groom herself, "What can I even do? Nothing really, we're both still apprentices, we can't make much of an impact- trust me, from personal experience the older cats just sigh and shake their heads muttering about how young cats know nothing, I got a few scars from asking too many questions from where I used to live," she paused her grooming and pointed to a few scratches and scars on her back, then one of the smaller nicks in her left ear.

"It should concern you, if you want to be one of us! That's like, the entire point of a Clan!" Sunnypaw exclaimed, taken aback by Viperpaw's apathy. She flicked her ears and sighed. "For all you know, Spiritstar could change her mind and kick you out of here too! Which, I don't want that, that sounds pretty unkind, and she's very kind... well, at least. She always was before." Sunnypaw looked away, shoulders falling. "I don't think you'll get any scars for asking questions here at least. I've never gotten any, and I ask a ton of questions."

Viperpaw's face turned emotionless, I can tell, she thought, "Well that all happened before I joined, and I can't bring cats back from the dead, if i could, both my mother sister, and stillborn brothers would be alive right now- dont think about that, she scolded herself, Theres nothing you can do, you already failed your family, focuse on the future and present, dont dwell on the past.., she sighed, "What do you even want me to do?" She asked Sunnypaw, wishing she was back with BlackBird, training to get revenge.

I just at least wanted you to know so you don't sound like you're clueless to everything around you." She offered, before she flicked her tail and mewed. "You sleep really deeply, huh? I'm surprised you didn't wake up. Also, did you roll on a thorn? You got a tiny scratch right there." Sunnypaw pointed at the scratch with her paw, seeming curious, but not accusing. After all, she had no idea about the Dark Forest contacting Viperpaw.

"Probably.." Viperpaw muttered, knowing perfectly well it was from her fight with RotFleash, "hey do you know if apprentice are aloud to go hunt alone? I would hope so, maybe the two of us could go, Lilith is taking a nap and probably would like to be woken, and I won't be able to fall back asleep. I might aswell do something for the clan when I'm most likely the only one not grief strikes or shocked."

Sunnypaw shook her head quickly. “Pah! I wish we could go out on our own anytime we like. With the prey-maulers around, Whitesun said we couldn’t leave without a Warrior. Maybe we can get one to take us out. I’d offer to sneak out with you but… it’s not really a good time for me to push anyone’s whiskers, right now.” She laughed sheepishly.

Maybe if we were warriors we would stand a chance, but we still have a long way to go before that ever happens!" Echowing gave Mudwasp a small yet approving look, before she hid her internal thoughts on the matter and airily agreed with him. "I knew it was trouble. Now we've paid the price. Mudwasp gave an irritated huff, anger at what StarClan has been putting SkyClan through starting to grow in his chest. "We don't deserve this treatment for them. Why do you think they're doing this to us? Why must we suffer like this?" He questioned, looking at her to see if she had any answers. Frostlight's ears flattened against her head, blinking rapidly at him as he spoke. "Gone? As in..." Frostlight trailed off, not wanting finish that question. She had the feeling that she already knew the answer to it anyways. "So... we just keep it to ourselves?" She whispered back, watching him closely. Hawkpaw was still for a long moment before giving a small nod, "There might be a few Warrior's here who might be willing to ignore Spiritstar's order and help us." She mewed quietly, glancing around at their clanmates. "Snowtalon might help us." Hawkpaw added, spotting their uncle talking with Tricklefrost.
