[ Sunnypaw's so annoying, she made Rosepaw reject his own religion. ]
Spoopypaw & Flubpaw - Early Afternoon
- Lake Trembling
As the tom suddenly demanded she put her catch down, the she-cat did so without a moments hesitation. "Impressed?" She meowed proudly, though it was immediately and overwhelmingly obvious that Rosepaw was anything but impressed at the moment. If anything, he looked more like he could probably kill a wren himself! Still, it didn't phase Sunnypaw, and reaching out a pink-padded paw, the apprentice gently poked the small bird where it lay. With her gaze studying it's dull brown plumage, she idly rolled it over before- in the calmest voice she had displayed thus far- she explained how she'd caught the noisy creature. "When I was over here earlier, I noticed there was a nest in one of the aspens. I figured it was a wren nest because I could hear them chirping up a storm up there-- I guess they spotted me and were trying to scare me off. So when you said wren, I just went back there and snatch it. It didn't even see me coming!" Looking up, she flashed him a bright look, accompanied by an accomplished flick of her white tipped tail. "Lucky, huh?"
Stepping back from both the bird and the tom, the messy furred she-cat quickly padded down to the lake's edge, and let the glittering water lap at her toes. When compared to the muggy heat of their surroundings, Lake Trembling really did feel like something that had flooded from their heat hazed dreams-- even if it was only touching the tips of her paws. Looking up from a small, withered leaf that happened to float by, the she-cat fixed her new friend with her friendly blue gaze. "The water's cool!" she announced. Then turning her back, she flicked a paw across the surface of said water, and did this once, twice, three times. For a rare moment, she was silent as she watched agitated minnows scatter beneath her. Then she suddenly scrunched her muscles, and before anything could stop her, she leaped.
Landing with a splash, the ginger tabby disappeared, head and all, as her heat stricken body was shocked with a well deserved chill. With her limbs tucked close to her slight body and water flooding her ears, she kept her eyes squeezed shut as she simply let herself rock with the gentle lapping of the lake. This was, perhaps, one of the few times that she actually felt like she could enjoy this whole 'relaxing' thing; she supposed Lake Trembling just had that affect on cats. But, just per usual, all good things must come to an end, and that meant Rosepaw's silence.
Kicking out with one strong paw, the she-cats pink-nosed muzzle suddenly broke the surface of the lake, and a gasp quickly left her as she sucked in her fill of freshwater air. "Rosepaw!" Spinning around from where she paddled, the she-cat quickly called for her "friend" on shore. "You should come swim! It'll help you cool off! It'd be bad if you overheated out there, huh?" |

ey, yo, a box what's in the box? -opens- a surprise Update - - Apprentices;
As of August 23, I am temporarily closing the apprentice section to joining! Currently, we have a large amount of apprentices, and the list of warriors is growing a bit thin. I would rather stop this here before we end up with more apprentices than warriors, to avoid inconveniences later. So if you'd been planning on making an apprentice, I apologize, but please either update their ranking, or save them for later when we have more warriors. I will open up the apprentice section later when there are more cats available to mentor them. |

I dunno about you, but I'd be proud of that.
My dad just walked in dragging the biggest flat screen tv I have ever seen, and I'm pretty sure he is either about to die, or my mom has lost her mind.
