Littleshadow nodded, wading to the edge of the creek, thankful for the newleaf warmth. "I won't say a word! We probably should get back to hunting now though. I don't want any of the queens to go hungry."

“Oh, yes yes! Of course.” Owlwhisker nodded quickly, stepping out after her. The water would have to calm a bit before the fish would swim back, so he took to laying down at the edge, letting the sunlight warm his wet fur.

“Nicer than I expected, after all things considered.” Owlwhisker admitted. He wished that it was all back to normal, back to before a fire had taken their clanmates away. He felt comforted with her at his side.

Ospreystrike offered a light grin, bumping her shoulder to her sister's. "I do?" Owlwhisker tipped his head, a little confused by what she meant, before he perked up again and scampered after her. He did agree, that the water would certainly feel nice after all of this. ((I'm cloning Specklecreek for a bit because I need more interactions with her haha)) Specklecreek laughed lightly. "And you've always been the hunting and fighting one." She purred, returning her sister's nudge. "You're much braver than I ever could be." |

Owlwhisker opened one eye, peering softly at Littleshadow before he offered a small smile and purred calmly. He never realized how nice it could feel, to just be beside another cat like this.
“Brave, sure. Most of the clan would call it reckless.” Ospreystrike smirked lightly, though it was clear that she was teasing. Even so, the young Warrior mewed.
“You might have to heal all my scratches when I go jumping around.”

Specklecreek purred. "Luckily I think I handle you jumping around a bit." She said with a purr. she glanced at her herb stock. "Maybe soon we can go out on a patrol together. You can hunt and I can look for herbs.....or you can protect me." she said

Specklecreek purred happily "Well that's good to hear." She said. "I wonder how all the other medicine cats are faring" she said after a lull in the conversation. "Riverclan wasn't hit nearly as hard as some of the other clans, I hope the other medicine cats didn't lose too many herbs."

"Oh yeah. I always forget that your training was different than most. You know, I didn't believe you at first when you said that Peachdapple was training you when you slept...but then you came out knowing all these herbs and treatments. I had no choice but to believe you. But that's got to count for bragging rights. Specklecreek, the medicine cat trained in dreams!" Ospreystrike exclaimed. "I think the others are fine...they'd have to be!"

Specklecreek sighed. "It's made training Troutpaw a little difficult if I'm honest. So much of my training was at night, but I had to deal with the clan during the day and just figure things out if something came up. It was scary and hard at the time, but now I don't panic every time I don't have an immediate grasp on things....I don't know how to teach that to Troutpaw."

Once Earthstar had spoken with most of the Clan, he looked for a spot to address everyone. It had been long enough that the fire had most likely subsided from the territory. Glancing around, he spotted a small stack of hay, jumping onto it. This would suffice for the time being. "RiverClan!" he called.
Icepath, Shellstream, Troutfang, Winterfrost, Salmonpaw and Koipaw all stopped, looking over at their leader.

Minnowtail looked up at the leader, sweeping her kits close to her so they wouldn't disturb the meeting.
Skystorm moved closer to the leader, gathering in front of the hay stack with the rest of the clan.
Tinypool and Stormsplash filed in near Skystorm.

Diamondheart approached Earthstar with a serious look in his eyes. He hoped that the leader would be announcing the return to camp soon. Even so, he also knew that the loner, Pepper, seemed to want to speak to Earthstar. He waited silently.
The rest of my cats gathered.

"I believe enough time has passed that we can safely go back to inspect the territory." Earthstar began, sweeping his gaze over the Clan. "We will send out two patrols to inspect both the territory and camp for damage." As he looked over the cats, he made the mental note to not choose any of the cats that had been sent initially after how many had been lost. "The first patrol, looking over the territory, will consist of Reedheart, Orchidnight, Thawfrost, and Eelshock." he assigned. "The second patrol, which will assess camp, will consist of Sunstripe, Mistfall, Icepath, and Paleflower." he mewed. "Once they return with hopefully good news, we can begin moving everyone back. That is all."
Icepath stood when her name was called, ready to go check camp.

Orchidnight nodded slowly, the loss of her mother driving her silent and harsh determination. Nothing could bring Rosefrost back...but she knew she could rebuild her clan with everything she had. She padded towards her patrol.
Diamondheart nodded in agreement to his leader, waiting a few moments before he moved to approach Earthstar.

Sunstripe gave the Riverclan leader a nod, accepting his assignment of evaluating the status of the camp. He hoped that the fire's damage had not been too excessive, but there would need to be repairs made regardless.

Skystorm’s ears fell back when his name was not called, he sighed but said nothing. He would wait here patiently and help his sister look after her kits.
Tinypool let out a breath of relief when her name wasn’t called. She wasn’t quite ready to return to camp and certainly didn’t not want to leave her mother’s body here unprotected

I think we were going to wait until after things are totally settled. Earth has to talk to Pepper before they move back as well)
