The she-cat's fur flared up even more at the words kittypet and she spoke with a growl in her voice. "I am no kittypet. I am Fallenfeather, a former member of Thunderclan who left because these kits would not be taken in and cared for even though the warrior code says that all kits who are in need of help shall be given it. I am friends with their mother and while she is away, I am their protector. Perhaps you should teach your apprentice to scent the air better and she would have known I was here. Or has Shadowclan began to slack on their training?"

“That’s quite funny, considering how far Thunderclan fell apart when they believed a spoiled little tom over their leader. It seems your loyalty lies with kittypets and rouges rather than your own clan, so I wouldn’t take your word with a grain of respect or interest. I don’t train my apprentice to seek out traitors.” Talltalon retorted cooly, not missing a beat.
“I remember you. You were never worth any time of mine, and you still aren’t. We’re not here for you. We’re going back to Shadowclan, so either take your kits and leave, or move aside so we can speak to someone who can actually help us.” He scoffed.

"I stood up for Lightningstar! I fought to bring Thunderclan back and was even thrown out by that traitor of a leader before going to Windclan so I could be of help to my true leader! I am no traitor, I am merely someone who knows when others need help, and when a decision has been wrongly made." The pale gray warrior took a threatening step forward before a new voice broke through.
"Fallenfeather, calm down, please. You're scaring Orpheus and Euthymia." A long-haired brown she-cat came padding out of the undergrowth carrying some moss that she placed down and rolled toward her kits. "Go ahead and play my darlings, just go over to the other side of the clearing and let the big cats talk.
"Yes momma!" Both kits spoke at once and immediately raced off.

“Nice weather draws the twolegs out.” Indigo chuckled with a hint of humor before he tilted his head. “I haven’t seen Sparrow around lately. Bloompelt and Cricket seem to be doing fine though. Those kits are so adorable.” He purred. Suki nodded in agreement. "Perhaps we should go visit soon. I'd like to see them again. Hopefully the twolegs will stay away from those kits." she mewed, wrinkling her nose at the thought. |

“I don’t care about Thunderclan, or their idiotic practices and warriors.” Talltalon hissed, before he lifted his head as the mother of the kits seemed to approach. He was still bristled, but he merely stepped back once to stand at Ravenpaw’s side.
“Are you this Opie cat?” He demanded.
“I certainly hope so too.” Indigo sighed. “So many kits have been born recently, and I’m afraid that the city cat group are getting bigger and more impulsive. I’d rather not hear of fights and deaths again. Axel won’t have any pity for trespassers.”

Opie gave a soft smile and nodded her head once as she sat and wrapped her tail around her paws. "Yes, I'm Opie." The she-cat then seemed to spot the third of the party and her face lit up. "Sergal! How are you my friend? Hs the show world been treating you well?"
Sergal gave a small laugh. "It's turned boring really. I see that life hasn't turned boring for you though. I heard you had five kits, where are the others?"
Opie gave a soft, sad sigh. "My two-legs took them. I was only able to save these two in time thanks to Fallenfeather's help. She had been captured and brought here and I helped her out when the two-legs ended up taking her to the cutter. I then helped her get home and asked if she could see about finding a place there for my kits but she couldn't. I'm no longer a kittypet either, I've left my den and now live here." The she-cat then looked at Talltalon and gave him a small smile. "Fallenfeather said you were Shadowclan right? Well I believe they've already fled their territory and I'm not sure where they went to."

“Fled to the territory?” Talltalon rumbled. “What exactly do you mean by that?...And yes, we are of Shadowclan, and we need to return home.” Talltalon flicked his tail sharply.

"A horrible wildfire started in Shadowclan territory and has spread everywhere, engulfing everything and all of the clans. Shadowclan was hit first and had to flee and I'm not sure where they fled too. The forest isn't safe right now though, that much I Do know and it's the only reason I'm this close to two-leg place currently."
Ravenpaw felt as though the world had stopped spinning and all of the air had been driven from her chest at once as she fell back onto her hindquarters. "N-No... that can't be... our home. Sunpaw... Sproutpaw... no."

“What?!” Talltalon’s eyes grew wide with shock. “It spread everywhere? Shadowclan was...We have to get back now!” Talltalon barked, looking stern and desperate. “How did this fire start?” He asked sharply.

Fallenfeather seemed to finally calm down and nodded her head solemnly. "All of the territories have caught flame. I went into it just a bit ago but didn't get far. It's trying to hop the river now and Riverclan is fighting to get to safety here. I'm on stand by to help them out as much as I can if they'll let me. Shadowclan is holed up in Fourtrees if the scents I was catching are anything to go by."

Fallenfeather frowned before giving a small sigh and standing up. "You need to go straight that way. You'll find a small pool of water a little ways in, make sure you roll in it and get really wet just in case you run into any flames. Once you get past the large boulder pile you'll be within the territories." She gave them a determined look and spoke quickly. "Be safe and if the flames are too bad come back. I'll help you find another way through. Being away from home... it hurts... I know it does." The she-cat suddenly seemed to loose her spirit and she walked away silently, disappearing into the brush.
Opie watched her leave before frowning at Talltalon. "You don't need to be so mean to her. If not for her I would have lost all of my kits. She misses Thunderclan dearly and wants nothing more to go back. Maybe you should start being nicer to others." The queen called her kits over and then followed behind Fallenfeather.

“Thank you.” Talltalon gritted firmly, tossing his eyes a bit as he ignored her advice. Shadowclan could be burned to the ground, he had no time to practice new forms of kindness. He did hope those kits would be alright, if anything. Turning to Ravenpaw, he nodded.
“Let’s go. If something happened, then we need to be ready to help our clanmates...if they survived.” He swallowed, nervous for a moment.

Suki narrowed her eyes as she tried to remember if she heard anything "Huh I must have slept through it. But that's what that sound usually means. I think my father had called them.. sirens? Were there many of them?"

Ravenpaw nodded quickly and stood, snapping out he stupor as she felt determination to get back to her home and family flood through her.
Sergal stepped forward with a smile but her eyes were masked in fear as well. "I really wanted to see your clan but I don't want to end up caught on fire. Jumbo needs me after all. I'm glad you're going home though, it's been fun travelling with you two."

“Lots of them.” Indigo cringed lightly. “They really were bothersome. It was hard to sleep, near the window.” He admitted, though his hearing had always been rather sharp.
Talltalon’s aggrivation seemed to lift slightly as he released a light sigh and nodded.
“Thank you, Sengal...You were a great help, truly. I don’t say such things lightly...Ngh. Tell your friend that I appreciate it, truly. We have to go quickly, though.” He nodded to Sengal before swallowing.
“Be careful, Showcat. Don’t get caught by dogs, got it?”

Sergal let out a loud laugh and smiled at the tom. "They have to catch me first. See ya!" She then turned around and darted away, back toward two-leg place.
Ravenpaw watched the other go before turning her attention to the woods before her and the fire that raged within. "Well Talltalon... are you ready to get back home?"

Suki hummed in thought. "I hope everyone is okay. Perhaps we could go on some rounds then. After we find something to eat of course." The she-cat put her nose up to the air, taking in the scent. "Now that you've said something... it does smell kinda smokey."

Suki flattened her ears as the thought of their adopted son. "I hope so too. Hopefully his clan wasn't affected by the fire." She sighed, dropping to the ground into a hunter's crouch in hopes that the smoke would leave her nose. "I think I scent a squirrel nearby."

Indigo nodded quickly, before he moved to circle around the source of the scent. His eyes narrowed with focus, as he slowly slipped into a crouch. He lunged when he saw the squirrel, scaring the prey towards his mate’s direction.

Suki waited patiently behind the bush, hoping it would disguise her enough. She grinned as the squirrel shot right past the bush. The she-cat pounced landing directly on it. She snapped its neck quickly, holding it up to her mate. "Not bad for being self taught!"
