"Ok." She nodded and picked up the bird, following her mentor quietly. Talltalon stalked silently after a bird of his own, the black bird seeming to give itself one last cleaning before it retired for the night. Talltalon was quick to hash out the bird's plan, instead lunging after it and striking it dead with a quick nip to the neck. The older warrior sighed, flicking his paw, where he had stubbed his toe a bit after he landed, on a mossy stone. "Hng. Nothing torn or broken. I'll let it soothe overnight." He nodded. "Remember, Ravenpaw. Stealth and accuracy are the ways of ShadowClan."

"Noted!" The she-cat smiled before looking around. "Should we head back to Sergal now?"

"Noted!" The she-cat smiled before looking around. "Should we head back to Sergal now?" Talltalon nodded firmly. "Yes. This should be plenty. And if the kittypet wants more, she'll just have to find a way to catch more of her own." He decided with a stern snort. Turning, he waved his tail for Ravenpaw to follow as he picked his bird up.

Ravenpaw picked her bird as well and followed after her mentor, looking around at the small woods that surrounded her as she walked.
Sergal was sitting around in some sunlight, purring lightly as her fur warmed under the light. Her ears twitched lightly as she heard the return of Ravenpaw and Talltalon. Sitting up the she-cat turned to the two with a smile. "Well, I see you have prey, and birds for that matter! We can use the feathers for the nests as well."

Talltalon dropped the bird in front of Sergal. "You can have half of mine, and I'll eat the rest. You can have your half first." He decided, his voice gruff yet agreeing with her words. Feathers were always appreciated in nests. He looked around at what she had made, and while he would not admit to a good job, he did give a nod of approval. "These will suffice for tonight."

"Yay! I thought the hollow log would be good in case of rain as well." She chuckled lightly before grabbing the bird and calmly slicing her claws across it, though not hard enough to shred the prey. Once she had gotten most of the feathers off of the bird she began to eat.

Once she had gotten most of the feathers off of the bird she began to eat. “Mhm.” Talltalon nodded, his voice deep and faintly approving. It seemed the Kittypet was far more capable than he first assumed. Though, he doubted Cedarstar would appreciate a kittypet trying to join Shadowclan at this time. Wouldn’t she get lonely? Surely her friend, Jumbo, would not be with her anymore if she tried to join Shadowclan. He shook the thought away, and waited for Sergal to finish her half of the bird.

Once Sergal had eaten half of the bird she nudged it toward Talltalon, licking any blood from her muzzle afterwards. "Thank you." The she-cat then set to grooming her pelt.

Talltalon nodded, moving to eat his half quickly. He glanced over at Ravenpaw. Surely she must be missing her siblings. He was not one to ever admit it, but he did understand the feeling of loneliness and missing family. He supposed she now got a taste of that exploration she wanted. He only hoped she realized how different things were out here. “Ravenpaw.” He mewed. “Make sure you remove the feathers carefully.”

"Yes Talltalon." She began t remove the feathers, though her progress was slower than Sergal's as she made sure to get each one before she ate the bird.

"Yes Talltalon." She began t remove the feathers, though her progress was slower than Sergal's as she made sure to get each one before she ate the bird. “Hng. The trick is to hook your paw, to get under the skin of the bird.” He offered, knowing any kind of lesson was one deserving to be learned. He sat down in his nest, and watched his apprentice. “You’ll need to pull them quickly, to get feathers for the queens now that Greenleaf is upon us.”

"Ok." She did as he said, pulling out the feathers as a sigh escaped her. Now that she didn't have much to do, her siblings made their way back into her mind.

Now that she didn't have much to do, her siblings made their way back into her mind. “For once, you look lost for words and doe-eyed. Ravenpaw, you do know we’ll get home...you know this, yes?” Talltalon sighed, his rough voice softening ever so slightly. He himself was weary, that trusting Sergal could lead to danger, or that some enemy would stop their trek back. But the last thing he wanted was Ravenpaw to be afraid.

"I just miss them. What are Sunpaw and Sproutpaw up to? Do they miss me?" She sighed once more. "What if we really don't make it back? What if this is all for not... what if we don't make it back?"

(Mods, please do not lock, this page is still in use and is being jumpstarted!)
"Has Sparrow come by recently?" Bloompelt called towards her mate, her paws full of an energetic Blossomkit. The she-kit had grown in the past few moons, and was beginning to become more curious by the day. Bloompelt's eyes filled with warmth as she looked at their kits, though a clear tone of worry filled her voice. Sparrow had shown them where he had been staying, and had given them refuge in the old twoleg nest. But he had begun to come by less and less. The younger tom had always been more of a loner type, but she knew Sparrow was also impulsive. What if he was hurt?

Cricket shook his head, carrying a soft bundle of twoleg fuzz back to Bloompelt and the kits for their nest. "I haven't seen him. He's probably out hunting or maybe he's spending the day with Gregory. I think this is the day Gregory gets salmon from one of the houses."

"Well, I hope he didn't do something foolish. You remember when he almost stirred up trouble with those kittypets? You'd think he likes starting fights!" Bloompelt realized her voice was growing sharper, and she calmed herself with a saddened look. "...Shadeclaw really messed us up, even now, huh?...I've never been afraid of confrontation like this, like I'll turn around and he'll be there...Sparrow probably feels the same." She looked at Cricket, love and worry in her eyes as she pulled Blossomkit and Hopkit closer to her.
"We'll be okay. We're safer here than anywhere else, probably." She assured, or at least tried to. "So long as I have you, and our kits, I know we'll be okay."

Cricket flicked his ear at the mention of Shadeclaw. He didn't want to think of anything to do with ThunderClan. "Of course we'll be okay here." He padded over to her and brushed his muzzle against hers. He knew the twoleggedplace. He was comfortable here and even made friends like Gregory and Shimmer. He didn't have ThunderClan breathing down his neck and threatening his life with battles against other CLans. "I'm sure Sparrow is alright, he's usually going off on his own." He paused to look at Blossomkit and Hopkit. StarClan, he still couldn't believe these kits were his, but it warmed his heart all the same. "We're going to be just fine."

"I know. Starclan, I worry too much. Where's my courage?" Bloompelt stuck her tongue out playfully, before sweeping it warmly against Cricket's cheek. She gazed warmly at him and purred. "Thank you for the down, by the way. We'll be extra warm with such a doting father taking care of us." She teased gently.
"Papa?" Blossomkit perked her head up, looking at Cricket. "There you are! I missed you! Mama told me that you were out guarding the entire nest!" She lifted a paw to exemplify just how big she meant.
Sparrow peered silently out across the twolegplace, breath coming in pants. Climbing the large tree near the edge of the territory had taken more out of him than he thought it would. Though, the small scratches on his flank from his recent run in with a snarky kittypet didn't help. He slung his paws over the arching branch, laying down and watching over everything. He didn't want to think about how Thunderclan was faring, but found it hard to ignore the thought. He thought of how happy Bloompelt and Cricket seemed together in his twolegnest. A twinge of envy filled him, though he doubted he'd find anyone willing to deal with the leftover traces of Shadeclaw's influences that still resided in him. He was afraid, admittedly...of somehow seeing his former mentor again.

(Hey, can you check Line?)
Cricket purred when Blossomkit spoke. "I wasn't far, I promise." He sat down, smiling at Bloompelt. It was so good having her here with him, and he found himself wondering how he had survived without her for so long. "I just want to make sure you're all comfortable."
Gregory visited Shimmer in her garden, Fezik waiting for him just outside the fence.

It was so good having her here with him, and he found himself wondering how he had survived without her for so long. "I just want to make sure you're all comfortable." Gregory visited Shimmer in her garden, Fezik waiting for him just outside the fence. (Yeep ) "Good! I heard weird noises again outside! Mama says they were just bats, but I think they were big monsters!" Blossomkit's large imagination was both her strength and her downfall. She fell back on her back as she tried to spring up, landing with an "oof". Bloompelt covered her muzzle with her paw and giggled at the kits' antics. Sparrow swiveled his ears down, eyes narrowing before widening again in recognition. Oh, of course. Gregory was running around again. Shimmer's yard was rather easy to spot, with how active it could be. He rested his head on his paws, though he did feel a hint of curiosity fill him. What would they be speaking about?

"Bats as big as monsters?" Cricket widened his eyes playfully and crouched down next to his daughter. "We better have a plan to get rid of them, don't you think?"
Shimmer was enjoying the sunlight in her garden while Gregory walked around her playfully. The two were laughing quite a bit.

"Oh yes! I know I'm tough enough now! I can take them all on with one paw!" Blossomkit scrabbled to her paws, her eyes bright with bravery as she looked at her father. She crouched low, before pouncing on Cricket's shoulder. Bloompelt watched them fondly, pressing her head to her paws.
Sparrow grit his teeth in aggravation. If anything, they might know where a good patch of plants was to roll in for his scratches. He was no medicine cat, after all. Slinking down from the branch, he padded in the direction of the fence. He kept his ears perked, the young tom narrowing his eyes for any dangers. Once he reached the fence, he took a breath before calling out. "Hey! Either of you think you can help me out?"

Cricket laughed. "Oh no! I think one's got me!" He slowly fell to the side like Blossomkit had tackled him. "What should I do?!"
Both cats jumped at Sparrow's call. Gregory even arching his back and hissing Sparrow's direction, while Shimmer almost darted for her twoleggednest.
"Sparrow?!" Gregory spat in annoyance. "What do you what?"

"I think you should surrender! I'm the toughest cat in twolegplace!" Blossomkit shreiked with laughter, moving to scrabble over her father. Her mottled fur fluffed up to make herself look bigger. "And give me all your mice!"
Sparrow arched his back lightly in defense, though his voice was as steady as he could manage. Starclan, even now it was hard to keep himself calm instead of hissing out a demand or insult. He slashed at that part of himself and cleared his throat. "I just wanted to know if you all had anything that could help with this." He tossed his head towards his scratches. "I'd...rather not curl up and die of infection."

"Now, now, Blossomkit." Cricket rolled back to his belly, a gentle scolding in his tone. "What did I tell you about bullying cats into giving you their food?"
"Oh! My twolegs have something that could help!" Shimmer relaxed when she realized it was Sparrow. "Let me go get it." She turned and darted off toward the twoleg nest. Gregory watched her go with a bit of disappointment. He turned to Sparrow.
"So what happened?"

"Thaat...it's okay as long as I share it?" Blossomkit trailed off, trying to get away with the wrong words with a small smirk on her muzzle.
Sparrow grimaced with light distaste at the thought of any kind of twoleg medicine put upon his pelt. He forced the reaction away, knowing that it could be deemed as offensive to Shimmer and her...kittypet tendencies. He swallowed, shrugging lightly at Gregory's question.
"Got into a little spat. Nothing I couldn't handle. The cat was too fat to do any more than a few scratches on me." He answered simply.

"It's never okay to bully, Blossomkit." Cricket shook his head. "If a cat has something you want or need, you help them in exchange for it, but never if that help is trouble."
"Sounds like a kittypet." Gregory huffed, but quickly added. "Not Shimmer's kind, the soft, unreliable kind."

"I know, I know..." Blossomkit puffed, shuffling her paws a bit. "I'll be the best helper." She promised, looking up at her father. "Like for Hopkit! I won't let anyone bully Hopkit!" She vowed.
"It was." Sparrow answered simply. "Lug of a kittypet, with one of those scraps around his neck. He reeked." Sparrow crinkled his nose at the memory of the scent. Shaking his head, he sighed out. "I still don't see what is so appealing about lumbering twolegs."
