Diamond was hesitant to answer Dusty but in the end, she figured maybe she could edge around the truth? "Oh, my parents were killed and I was separated from my brothers and the rest of our gang and so I took off and I've just been wandering around, looking for food from day to day ever since."
She couldn't even remember how long ago it had been, but it must have been at least a moon since she had been forced away from her family and even now, it hurt.
--
"Although I want to," Rose replied, "I will not because that's not what I was taught. Now, if you'd like, you can follow me and I can take you to someone who can help you out. And I promise that he's a lot nicer than I am." Which was true, but also not hard to do. Rose hadn't met many other cats that were rude like her, but she had also met a lot more cats that would kill you on the spot.
--
Snow followed after him, only partially listening. Her paws were pink and soft from never leaving her yard and the feeling of the twigs and needles on the ground beneath her started to hurt, but she didn't let that bring her down. "You probably should. Thanks for giving me a demonstration." She said with a purr, careful to watch where she was going while also admiring the forest around her. It was beautiful.

"oh thats terrible!" Dusty mewed, his large eyes wide with sympathy. "I was in a situation like that when I was a kit, you see my housefoke..."
"Don't tell everyone you're a... kittypet!" Missy snarled, turning around. "You already look like one! No cat is going to respect you if they know that you nearly died alone and helpless, starving when you were forced to fend for yourself! If I hadn't come along you would be dead!"
Missy's eyes blazed, but she calmed down quickly. "Look I'm sorry Dusty, I know the kitten seems nice, but you can't appear weak anywhere. In this world its kill or be killed. To be honest, I'm teaching the kitten how to hunt because I'm expanding my territory soon, and need cats to fill it. Not because I'm being "Nice". No one in my gang will respect you if you talk about being a kittypet and starving. "
Missy turned away, fluffy tail swishing back and forth.
"Their not going to respect me anyway" Dusty mewed softly, but Missy's ears pricked up when he said it, and she let out a sad laugh.

Diamond was a little surprised, and a little taken aback by Missy's words. Well, she wasn't surprised that Missy wanted to use her and that was why she ended up getting the opportunity to learn how to hunt. Diamond was alright with that, but still, Missy's temper had scared her. "I wish it wasn't like that." She blurted out and although Diamond knew she should shut up, she found that she couldn't. "I wish we could all live in harmony. I mean, what happens when you get too old to hunt for yourself? Do you just starve to death?"
((Considering dragging my dear Dusk into this, who I'm thinking I might just make a somewhat older tom that has a faint memory of Clan life that his mother told him about as a kit. XD To give the basis for the Clan.))

Missy looked at the angry kit. She looked like she was about to get mad back, but finally just laughed. "When I get to old to hunt I'm going to die, Diamond. We all are. The goal is to get as many things as you can when you're able bodied and strong." Missy looked into the distance, as if lost in her past. Her shoulders slumped, and she shoke her head back and forth as if she was remembering mistakes. "I used to be just like you, you know. A larger cat was in my perceived "Territory" and I told him we should all live together and look out for one another. He nearly killed me."
Missy looked back at Diamond, something akin to kindness in her eyes. "I don't want to be like that cat. I shouldn't have gotten so mad at Dusty. It's not like your a rival gang member!"
Dusty smiled at Missy, and she fell into step beside them so that they were all walking in a line.
"We are nearing the forest" Missy mewed, pointing to a chain link fence. "Just over there." You could see tree's rising up behind the fence.

Diamond was quiet, thinking any what Missy had said. Being a street cat was sad and now, part of Diamond wanted to go and become a house cat of some sort.
But Diamond couldn't give up her freedom for that, even if it meant eventually starving to death. Finally, she pushed her silly ramblings and wishes out of her head.
"Wow, the forest is bigger than I thought." She murmured as she followed after the older cats.

"Its huge" Dusty agreed, looking up at the tree's. Missy scoffed at both of them. "This goes on forever. Poppy grew up here. She left to live in the city, of course, but she says it goes on forever! I have a few cats who used to live here, that joined the city. Its much better to live there, but fresh killed prey is nice!” Missy enthused, the years slipping of her face as she looked up at the trees, and forgot about her responsibilities as a leader. She was confortable in the presence of the cat she loved, and the new kitten that was a reflection of what she had been in her past.
Missy scented the air, eyes lighting up. She crouched down, slinking forward. She didn’t know exactly what she was doing, Poppy had dragged her out here once and showed her how to catch mice. But she leaped at the mouse, tearing at it with her claws. It died in her paws, and she leaned down and picked it up in her mouth. She was quit proud of herself, and smiled at the two cats following her with the mouse in her jaws.

Fallen sulked in the shadows of the city. The skyscrapers towered in the distance and cars sped by. The gray, cloudy sky looked down at the cat. Fallen hissed as she stepped into a pool of murky black water. No words could describe how much she loathed the city. The noise, the smell, and most of all - the cats. City dwelling cats were typically the most condescending bunch there were. Always acting like they owned the entire place. Fallen wouldn't dream of living in such a bleak place, but when it came to passing through city cat turf everyone apparently they thought the alleyways were full of mice and moonlight. Fallen sighed as she recalled how annoying it was to just pass through these places. I hope there's a forest soon. I hate eating rats.(Sorry! Is this it? I don't want to get the wrong thing.)

Diamond was first in awe of the trees, and then she was in awe of what Missy had done. "Is that what we're going to learn to do?" She asked, excited as she looked first from Dusty then to Missy. Happily, she hopped forward and then dropped to the ground, trying to copy what she had seen Missy do.

"I'm sorry to hear it." Maurice said gruffly, his eyes narrowed as he seemed to concentrate on his chewing. He was sorry though, despite how careless he tried to act and sound, and flicked his ears and tail as he stood up, finishing his part of the prey. "However, the one thing I am thankful for is them leaving this place abandoned. You wouldn't believe it to look at it, but it is abundant with prey, yet most are unnerved by it's old looks, not to mention they expect twolegs to be here. Its' quite nice."

Fanny nodded hesitantly, still shaking as she moved to walk a bit closer to the cat. She still looked uneasy on her paws, and tripped, her fur fluffing up as she did so, over a small rock.

"Your welcome, my ladyship." Johannes replied with a laugh, slowing his pace as he stared up at the treetops above. The trees thinned, but only for a bit, as they walked on, and soon a gentle bubbling sound could be heard. "We'll be reaching the brook soon." He said, his ears alert to the distant, yet ever nearing sound of the gurgling waters. "There's a nice place to cross it, but it's slippery, so watch your paws and your steps!"

Rose didn't pay any attention to the younger cat, not even when she tripped. Eventually, they arrived under a large oak tree. She paused at the bottom and looked up at a hole in the tree that must have been carved out by some bird years ago. "Dusk!" She called out.
In no time at all, a thin tabby tom was poking his head out of the hole, looking sleepy. "What's wrong, Rosie?"
She ignored the horrific nickname. "This she-cat. She's injured and I thought perhaps you could help her."
Dusk looked Fanny up and down from the safety of his tree for a moment, and then climbed down, hopping from one of the lower branches to the ground in front of Rose and Fanny. "Well, hello, what is your name and what's wrong?" He asked as nicely as he could.
--
"Wow, it's prettier than I expected." Snow commented, more to herself than to Johannes. As they approach the brook, she looked ahead of them, nervous about the idea of crossing it. "Well, if it goes anything like this morning did with me and the fence, I don't know how I'd feel about trying to cross something slippery." She pointed out with a flick of her fluffy white tail.

"Rosie?" Fanny muttered, thinking the name sounded too sweet for such a rough cat. As they walked she'd gradually perked up, but her head and legs still hurt, and her voice was very feeble, almost a whisper. She looked shyly at her paws as Dusk addressed her, and, if it could show, would be blushing scarlet just about then, bashful around these two, more confident strangers and while she herself felt so humble and weakened. It was like being a kit again, but not in the pleasant sense of the term. "I'm... I'm Fanny." She said, meeting his eyes finally, and trembling once again like a leaf. "... I'm tired, so very tired." She said in an even quieter voice, and held back a sob.

Johannes stopped at it's edge, eyes shining with merriment as he watched it run past them, looking quite a jovial thing itself in it's own unique way, with it's sparkle and energy. "Well, it's the only way, unless you can swim." He advised. "It's not too deep around this bend, so I suppose we can wade through it... but if the current picks you up a bit further down it can be a bit of trouble, especially as it widens and gets deeper." He commented, similarly to a tour guide in his manner, and he found he rather enjoyed playing the guide to this cat, stranger or no. He flicked his paw towards the rocks that crossed it. "There they are."

(Thanks.) Tawny paced the edge of the woods, the bit near to the city. She suddenly heard a cat sigh, and her heart jumped slightly. Was there another cat? She jumped through the bushes, glancing around. Sorry for how short this is and how long it took me to post it! ) Fallen took a whiff of the air, checking if she could smell anything else but grime. She twitched her tail side-to-side, narrowing her eyes as she took in the scents. Rotten twolegfood...a monster's dark, thick fuel, and a hint of pine ! Fallen nearly purred, speeding towards the scent of greenery and normal prey.
