A soft, amused snort left Icestar at her words, though he slowly stood as well, giving himself a little shake. "As long as you're around me, there's no way that you'll freeze to death," he rumbled, watching her stretch before giving Moonsong a soft nudge with his nose. "Come on, then. We're getting nowhere by just sitting here, eh?" he purred teasingly, starting for the camp entrance, tail held high.

Moonsong followed behind Icestar, soon catching up so she could be beside him. "I can only assume you're leading the way, seeing as I have no clue where you're going," the she-cat meowed. "And it better be worth it." There was a joking tone to her voice. She felt like it would be worth it. After all, if it was a sunny spot, then it should be warm. She was always seeking out warmth during leaffall and leafbare. And, if all else fails,... Icestar was warm.

The big tom glanced over his shoulder at her briefly, flicking his tail and purring in amusement. "Of course I'm leading the way, silly. And yes, it's worth it. I promise," he said in a teasingly sincere tone. "When have I ever let you down?" He led her along narrow paths that crisscrossed the clan's territory, heading for the spot he enjoyed more than almost anywhere else. It wasn't too far from the camp and was within sight of the river, which was frozen around the edges at the moment. The forest surrounding it was just within sight as well, with a smooth, flat stone rising from the otherwise frosty, grassy terrain. Icestar leaped onto it, settling himself down in a way that Moonsong could join him, though she'd be very close to him.

Moonsong silently followed, Her gaze looking all around her, but mainly it was Icestar. Her tail swished behind her as she padded along the narrow trails that she could only assume had been made by other cats who'd passed through here. Once the two of them had finally arrived, she could easily tell that the tom was right. It was worth it. The view here was amazing. She hopped onto the rock as well, and rather than trying to keep much of any distance from him, she just curled up next to him. Those big, silver eyes of hers almost seemed to sparkle in the sunlight the same way that frost did. "You were right," the she-cat mewled quietly. She pricked her ears up to pick up any of the quiet sounds of nature. "It was worth it."

Icestar seemed briefly surprised when she curled up right next to him, though the surprise soon left his features and he instead began to purr softly. That fluffy tail of his curled around her partially and he moved a bit so that he could idly begin to groom her pelt. "I knew you'd like it. When I need to get away from clan life and think, I often times come here. But... it's nice to share this spot with someone else," he added softly, his eyes glittering just as much.

"Now I can come here and pester you," the she-cat teased. "When I can't find you, I'll just assume you're here." Moonsong let her tail curl around Icestar's as she nudged him in a playful manner. "And even if you aren't here, I might start coming here myself... It's peaceful here." She looked out to her surroundings, taking in as many details as she could. "Do you have a name for this place?" Her gaze quickly went back up to her leader. "Or is it just some nameless place you come to?"

An amused rumble left the leader at her teasing, that surprised look returning to his face for only a moment when her tail curled around him. He seemed... rather content and otherwise relaxed, pleased with how things were going at this moment. "If you come here to 'pester' me, I'll be happier than ever," he rumbled, flicking an ear. "I don't have a name for it, actually. It's just... my spot. Nameless and secluded from the rest of the world. Well, save for you, at least."

"Makes sense, I suppose. It doesn't really need a name if no one else really come to it." Moonsong let her head lean onto her leader as a soft purr rumbled from her. "And maybe I will pester you. If you'd appreciate it so much, then I might as well. I like messing with you anyway." She gave a soft smile, her eyes nearly beaming with joy. She was just happy that Icestar was fine with all the little moves she'd made so far. It was becoming more and more obvious that she could recover from all the acting she did when she pretended to hate him. He hadn't given up on her just yet....

An answering purr left Icestar when hers began, deeper and louder than her own and vibrating through his entire body. Slowly, the tom bent his head, drawing his tongue softly over her forehead in a rather tender manner. "As I said, I'm completely fine with that. I do rather like being around you," he added in a slightly softer voice, leaning his head back slightly and narrowing his eyes, enjoying the warmth of the sun on his fur and Moonsong's body heat close to him.

Moonsong was about to make a teasing remark about Icestar's loud purring before he bent down to lick her forehead. A look of surprise took over her face. She could feel herself heating up again with a blush before giving a questioning look to her leader. "Why did you do that?..." Did he mean it? Did he love her back? That's what a lick on the head meant, right? Or was that something she just made up? No, she knew she didn't make that up, everyone knew that, but still... She could hardly believe that he could be serious. However, it would make sense with how much time he spent with her and how close he always wanted to be. It almost felt like a dream. She expected to wake up soon in the middle of the night, only to find that this day hadn't happened and she would be the mean cat she always was. He wouldn't know that she actually liked his jokes and that she liked his company...

Icestar slowly blinked down at her. For a moment, he looked away, slightly sheepish before his steadier gaze slowly returned to Moonsong. "Well, there's no dancing around the subject now... I love you," he finished in a softer mew, though his deep voice still made it far from completely soft. "If you'll have me, I want to be your mate. I was to be with you always." His tone was sincere and his eyes sparkled hopefully as he looked down at her, head tilted a bit.

Moonsong found herself speechless for a moment, trying to come up with the proper response to Icestar's confession. However, her eyes seemed to light up as she found the perfect way to tell him she felt the same. "Well... I guess one could say that you've melted the ice in my heart. Any dislike towards you has thawed, and I would love to have you as my mate." She couldn't help but smile, feeling a bit proud of herself for using some of her leader's puns back at him. Now felt like a better time than ever, and she had taken the chance and hoped that he would appreciate her effort in coming up with what she considered to be the perfect response.

The purr that had been rumbling in Icestar's chest increased in intensity at the puns and he bent his head again to gently rub his nose against her cheek. "Good. That's.. good," he mewed, unsure of what else he could say as he nuzzled her happily. The big cat was overwhelmed and, until the point, he had never felt so much happiness in his life. He was just so thankful that she felt the same. "Also... I see I've finally rubbed off on you. You're making your own puns," he added in a more amused and playful tone, eyes still bright. "You also get to stay in my den now. You'll always be warm."

A playful look glittered in those eyes as she gave a nuzzle back. "No, making my own puns would be creating some based off of my name. I'm just stealing yours, like I stole your heart. I might as well take some puns with it as well. But don't you worry, you now have my heart in return for yours." She would have given his head a soft lick back, but she was too short to reach.... Her ears perked up at the mention of getting to sleep in the leader's den now. With Icestar around, she would indeed always be warm. "It's hard to think that you could have any association with ice when you're so warm. You would have melted by now." She gave herself an amused mew, finding the puns she was making to be quite clever. And of course, she knew the large tom would appreciate every single one.

He gave her a soft, playful shove, careful to keep his strength in check. Then, the big tomcat flopped onto his side and blinked up at her, seeming to be completely at ease. "I think with time, you'll get around to making your own puns as well," he teased, prodding her shoulder with a paw. "I like having your heart to call my own. And I always knew there was a sweet cat hiding beneath all that prickly exterior," Icestar added, an amused chirp leaving him. He stretched out his front limbs, toes flexing slightly as he yawned a bit. "It's so warm and nice here... I could stay here forever, especially if I got to be with you through all of it."

The much smaller she-cat decided to join him, laying down beside him as she touched his nose with her own. "At this rate, I probably will. But for now, I'll amuse you by using ones based off of your name." Moonsong's purring began once more as her ears laid back in a relaxed manner. She could finally reach, so she finally gave Icestar a lick or two across the head. "You don't know how long I've been waiting for this moment... I just never knew how to tell you myself. It was especially hard when all everyone knew was the mean act I put up. Had I acted any different, someone might have thought I was either a different cat or I was sick." Her tail flicked before finding a way to coil around the other's much bushier one loosely. "And I'd love to stay here with you... But we have to go back eventually. Only Starclan knows what chaos might come up with the leader missing. If I disappear, it wouldn't cause nearly as many problems though. They've just lost one of their faster cats is all."

A little amused rumble left Icestar, his eyes narrowing in a contented manner. His ear flicked a bit when she licked his head, his heart swelling with happiness. "Well, I've liked you for quite some time but... I didn't know if I should act on those feelings. You were always so cold towards me..." He trailed off for a moment, shrugging a bit. "But now it's okay. You're mine, I'm yours, we're happy." His nose touched hers briefly, eyes opening a little more so that he could look into Moonsong's beautiful silvery ones. "Eventually... And I'd be quite distressed if you disappeared, you know. More than I would be when it came to anyone else, besides maybe any future kits I... we, might have."

Moonsong's eyes gazed back into the tom's pale, ice blue ones. "Kits..." She paused to think for a moment. Kits. Her own kits, with Icestar as the father. They would be so cute and surely they'd grow up to be the best cats ever. "I personally wouldn't mind having kits," she meowed softly. She liked the thought of kits, save for the fact that she knew that part of the whole process would be painful. How terrible it would be if her body couldn't handle it. She wasn't exactly one of the strongest clan cats for sure. The only really good thing about her was speed, and that wouldn't help her in such a situation.

Icestar's ears perked up a bit as he nodded his head, lifting himself slightly to nuzzle her cheek. "We'll be wonderful parents and our kits will be amazing," he purred, seeming quite pleased with the thought. Then he settled back down with a soft, rather happy sigh, gazing at her for a long moment. "There are already plenty of cats who would serve as excellent mentors for them and there will be many more made warriors before any kits we may have are ready to be apprentices. The only kit right now who's ready to be made into an apprentice may even turn out well enough to mentor some. I like to think the cat I chose as her mentor will mold her into a respectable warrior."

"I'm sure we'll be great parents... and our kits will have great mentors and they will be the best warriors." The she-cat yawned, stretching her paws out in front of her before rolling onto her side and scooting as close as she possibly could to Icestar. Her head was nestled underneath his chin, still purring contently. She hadn't really even done much of anything today, but she was starting to feel a little tired. Maybe it had to do with feeling all cozy and warm next to her mate and the warmth of the sun on the rock. "... Should we get up and do something, or should we just stay here a while longer?"
