( I might end up adding characters as plot devices and seeing where it takes me. cx So far I think I've kept up decently. )
Ravenstar was still caught up in his angered distraction, and did not look at the warrior who addressed him as he continued to watch the sky. He was about to reply angrily, influenced by his frustration, but he managed to relax his voice, trying to keep his tail, which had been lashing from side to side, still. "I don't think anyone is fit enough, but, if you find anyone willing, it would be wise." Ravenstar replied, with only a touch of his frustration evident. He himself would not go hunting, he thought. If anyone else comes back, I have to watch for them...
Nearby, he heard Mothshade's voice, and turned for a moment, a pained look on the tall tom's face as he watched the warrior and the elder. He wanted to say something to Mothshade, but wasn't sure how to console him for his loss. He should do something, being the leader, they where all his responsibility, but watching all the tired cats, he felt so helpless.
The queen and kits asleep and warmed by moss Duskpaw and the healthiest kits had helped collect, Duskpaw wasn't sure what to do. By nature she was an active cat, always trying to do something and ignoring her own whims and needs. Now... she felt tired, but sleeping seemed wrong. With an almost mournful sigh, the fluffy cat returned, moss in her jaws, to where she had sat earlier with Echopaw, Featherpaw, and the other apprentices. She placed it down and nudged Echopaw's shoulder. "I brought moss." she said, her voice sounding drowsy. "Might at least help with keeping warm, we should set up some nests... You doing ok?"

Wrenblossom and Featherpaw are medicine cats so they're looking for herbs, Ravenstar is waiting to see if Pinefur returns, and as for the loners, nothing much happened there except Pipit, Finch and Aspen are waiting by the waterside for Thistle and Lark to return from searching for Fern in the fire. ) |

"Very well." The black cat said simply, and turned to walk off again. Truthfully, she also doubted that anyone was healthy enough to join her. But perhaps she could at least scrounge up some of the few who were still able to walk, if anything.

Echopaw looked up as Dawnpaw touched his shoulder. "Oh," he sat up with a light purr. "Im ok. How about you?" he took the moss from the other apprentice and placed it on the ground. Nests weren't a bad idea.
Featherpaw felt herself relax as the smell of smoke subsided, breathing in the fresh scent of green plants around her. The young she-cat nosed around, looking for the herbs they needed.
Mothshade paced a circle around the calico body several times, growling to himself. Forcing himself to stop moving, the dark-furred tom sat down and dug his claws into the ground, looking away from his mother's face.

Ahh, at least the air was clearer here! It was a nice change from smoke. Wrenblossom took a big sniff, sighing contentedly, then began to look for herbs. This place wasn't bad in terms of plant life. Nice and green.

Rippletail slid over to the cluster of cats, arching a brow. "Anyone here up for a hunt? I figure that we might as well try to get some food in our stomachs."

(... Ok so Duskpaw has been changing back and forth from Dawnpaw to Duskpaw in my posts. Heads up, she's DAWNPAW, unless I get confused again. cx )
Dawnpaw half-smiled and began to set up a nest nearby, carefully flattening it with her paws. "I'm alright, as good as I can be, considering." She replied, soon finishing her own nest and, having enough moss for another, began setting up one for whoever wanted it. "Should I collect more?"

( I continue to delay working on them though. D: It's been awhile, and I usually end up drawing something else. c': I'll finish them though, and hopefully this week.
How does one draw something with a general lack of anatomy?
All I want to do apparently is write and plot backstory stuff. After returning to my warriors comic after about a year's break due to complications, everything is in lovely disarray, and I continue to find myself sorting things without meaning to and getting lost in organization. owo
Maybe I'm scarred for life by Erin Hunter's mistakes? Lol.

I spent a long time today recalculating a probably-never-seen character's age by the time he died thinking there was a mistake, only to find there wasn't one. c': I think. I'm pretty sure there wasn't one. )

Echopaw blinked at the she-cat and stood up all the way, shaking out his fur. "Sure, our clanmates might appreciate us bringing them warm nest materials." he agreed, waving his tail. "I'll come with you."
"I found some thyme!" Featherpaw meowed, pushing some leaves off of the herbs with her nose and then carefully picking them out.

(I have Spiderpaw on the island so that will work.) [Alrighty!] Spotting Spiderpaw, she beckoned to him with her tail. "Hey. You up for a hunt? Figure that we have to get everyone fed, and it's gonna take time if I have to do things alone. Too much time." She shifted to one side awkwardly, the sight of her own blood making her ever so slightly perturbed. At least she wasn't actually wounded, though. There was that. Spiderpaw glanced at Rippletail and nodded "Sure, more paws are better for the job anyways." She mewed, now Spiderpaw didn't really like hunting nor was she an expert at it but she knew it was needed to survive. "When do we leave?" The apprentice asked, standing up and shaking out her long black fur, she had been laying around and trying to rest after all the things had been going on, mostly just trying to appear tough.

[Same, honestly. Also, thinking of putting in more cats...Maybe Vireotooth would be good? Rowanheart wouldn't leave his brother alone, so perhaps not him. Then again, maybe.]
She paused in her nibbling at a claw to answer the apprentice. "If you're willing to leave now, this seems like a good time." The Bombay mix swung her head around, looking for other cats. "May as well get frog brain to come with, as well," she sighed loudly, making her way over to Lichenthroat. "Won't be of much help, knowing her, but they can walk, so might as well try."

"Great." Dawnpaw said with a smile. "I foudn a lot of moss earlier with the kittens in that direction, maybe we should search there?" As she said this last part, she motioned with her paw to the right side of the island.

[Dude, do it, it'd be hilarious. And I have a lot of voices! Though some of mine still don't have exact ones, which makes me sad because I love finding that perfect voice. ex. Lichenthroat's would be Maddie Blaustein provided she still lived, in the role of Meowth from Pokemon, and Wrenblossom's is Renee Elise Goldsberry.
Also, if I respond slow, it's because I'm trying to sort my spare OC's into the various things I'm in. They all need more manpower haha]

(I always come up with voice's for my cat's, it's an old habit that I started and never stopped. )
"That's fine with me, sooner we find food the sooner everyone can eat." Spiderpaw mewed while looking at the older shecat, straightening her posture and trying to look intimidating just in case any other apprentice's was looking. The shecat was way to prideful for her own good but everyone had their weeks points she guessed, that's was hers. She looked around gave her paw a small lick while she waited to follow

Also, gonna bring in another cat from an old Group, since I feel like this place needs more warriors; we've only got 4: Vireotooth - long-limbed, scruffy-furred gray brown tomcat with a silver "mane" and ice blue eyes] And with a few vague gestures that could possibly be interpreted as threatening from Rippletail, Lichenthroat came padding over to the pair with flattened ears. The mottled cat shuffled into line behind Spiderpaw. ~~~~~~ "Right, then." Rippletail stated. "May as well just get on with it with we three, since everyone else seems to be busy." And with that, the black and silver cat began to walk off deeper into the island. Hopefully they'd find something, at least. |

( Let's just pretend Duskpaw was there the entire time. She now has a sibling named Duskpaw here we go. cx Gonna make him a tom so I can have a tom and she-cat apprentice. Semi-twins for optimal confusion. Everybody before this WAS Dawnpaw though.
I have some voices for my characters, not specifically these, though.
Ravenstar is probably, uh... Kirk (original Star Trek). That seems fitting somehow. cx
I have one character in my comic who is basically David Bowie's voice because I made him up and most of his history listening to David Bowie music. )
Duskpaw, unlike his sister, had fallen asleep.
( Brilliant entry.
Also anyone particularly want a mentor/apprentice, or to have their character's mentor/apprentice already killed during the journey/fire for drama purposes? )

Featherpaw trotted after her mentor, continuing to scan the ground for any other herbs. As she looked she did her best to push thoughts of the fire and missing clanmates out of he mind.
Echopaw looked in the direction that DAWNpaw had gestured. "Right, let's go." The little tom padded in that direction, flicking the other apprentice with his tail.
