Mothshade looked over the group with a nod of his head. They would find the best spot for a camp and report back to Ravenstar, taking that off their pile of worries. "Let's do this." he turned and led the way.
Featherpaw hurried after Wrenblossom, sticking close to her side. She looked over her shoulder at Echopaw with Ravenstar's hunting group for a moment before focusing back on her task.
Echopaw nodded and looked around, studying the rest of the hunting patrol.
Aspen sat on the shore, looking across the water with a worried frown.

Ravenstar jumped down from his perch, nodding to Echopaw. "Yes, we should leave now." Duskpaw stood up and nudged Wishpaw, not noticing Wishpaw intent look at Dreampaw. "Looks like we're going back out to explore again, come oen Wishpaw, we need to join Mothshade." Herontuft nodded and stepped back towards the water, paws shaking a bit. "Uh... hoping... hoping for the best." He muttered, slowly wading into the water. Pipit stood up, too, trying to act a bit more confident, but still quivering slightly with fear. Finch nodded and began heading over to where he'd seen Storm. Aspenblaze padded in beside him. "We'll be ok," she promised. "I... kind of remember my mother teaching me the basics of swimming." ((alright, I'm going to make Aspenlaze have a crush on Herontuft, if that's ok. not yet, but she'll start liking him soon.)) |

Ravenstar continued. "We'll also send out a search party to patrol some of the forest. For now, though, we need herbs, materials for dens if no shelter can be found on this island, and, of course, food." Hearing the earlier muttering of the crowd he glanced between the talking cats, adding, as he noticed Gazesouls' impatient twitching "... I know some of this are the obvious facts, but I need to make sure all of us are on the same level." Fishing this he then followed with. "As the deputy, Brambletalons, is among the missing, I shall assign patrols, and we shall wait on picking the next deputy if... if he does not return, or is not found... or is found dead, in the next few hours. For now I ask for Mothshade to lead the search for a new camp ground, any cave or materials, or clearing in the forest will be useful- take with you Wishpaw, Rippletail, Spiderpaw, and Duskpaw. Wrenblossom and Featherpaw shall of course search for herbs and travel with you, you can help them in tehir search, we have many injured cats who are thankfully alive, but need some seeing to. Myself, Lichenthroat, Vireotooth, Smallnose, Gazesoul, Echopaw and Dreampaw shall hunt, each mentor should accompany their apprentice." Alright, searching for new territory. She could definitely do that. Rippletail smirked, then got to her feet and began looking around for Spiderpaw. Seeing that her apprentice had already made her way over to the patrol cats, the Bombay mix fell in line besides her. "This should be interesting, at the very least," she drawled. ~~~~~ Herb hunting was always a good thing! Hopefully, they could find more than they already had...they were going to need it. Straightening up, Wrenblossom practically marched her way over to the patrol. ~~~~~ Hunting? Oh joy. They'd never been particularly good at that, what with their crepe-paper thin skin and all. Lichenthroat moved closer towards Ravenstar. Spiderpaw looked over to see her mentor and nodded. "It shall." She agreed, standing up a little straighter next to Rippletail. "Do you think we will encounter anything we might have to fight? Maybe a fox or another group of cats?" Spiderpaw asked happily, trying to keep her excitement to a minimum in her voice so she could keep her regal appearance, besides they might not let her go if she acts immaturely. |

Smallnose sighed with relief and settled by near Icepetal and her kits, collecting some stray moss to sit on. "I hope you all are successful." She said, feeling a touch guilty she'd offered to stay behind. But, it was probably fort the best. Besides, Icepetal needed someone to look out for her.
Dawnpaw walked over to her uncle. "What should I do?" She asked Ravenstar.
"For now you can also stay with Icepetal and Smallnose." He instructed. "We don't know how bad her head is injured, and Icepetal can't walk on that leg, so I trust you will help them."
Dawnpaw nodded seriously. "Alright. Though Later, I'd like to help build camp... or search for father and the others."
Ravenstar stared at her for a few minutes in silence, then nodded and returned his attentions to his patrol, watching as each warrior joined his side.
Gazesoul trotted over towards the hunting party. "UI went hunting earlier... it seems a lot of birds fleeing the fire stopped by here. They'll likely start leaving once our activity here becomes too evident, but we should make use of this while we can."
Duskpaw nodded and got to his paws, quickly joining Monthshade and the patrol and catching up with them. "Oh! I know a place for moss, for starters." He said, stepping in lien with Mothshade and looking up at him eagerly. "My sister collected a lot yesterday and told me where to go, so that'll be useful. I suppose we need dens first though, right?"
Pipit noticed Aspen and with relief, separated from his group momentarily and hurried over to the elder cat. "A-Aspen, Finch and Vine are t-trying to r-regroup everybody that made it back, y-y-you coming?" The small tom cat asked.
Storm sat up as Finch and Vine neared. After a moment all he could say was. "I'm glad to see your alright."
Dove also sat up, now fully awake. "How many made it back?" She asked tentatively.
( Aww I'm all for her liking him! Thats' fine. owo )
Herontuft nodded and gave her a half hearted smile. "Alright, thats' good. It's not... not too far, we can make it." He finished, and continued to head into deeper water until he was swimming. He tried to recall the one time before he'd swam and go through the motions, trying not to panic as the water steadily rose and got deeper below him.

Vine looked over at Storm and Dove and let out a small purr. "It's good to see your ok." She meowed then looked back at Pipit, keeping a eye on the smaller cat. "So far all we have seen this morning is you guys but last night there was quite a few more, they went back to try and find others though."

"What with most of our cats being injured, don't you think that a fight's the last thing most of us want at the moment?" Rippletail snarked, though for Spiderpaw's sake she tried not to be too harsh. "OakClan doesn't need more injured cats to take care of. So, how about we hope that we don't?" She briefly lifted a forepaw and drew her tongue over it. [Thinking of removing Vireotooth to be honest...Haven't been able to do much of anything with him.] |

Spiderpaw looked down, her pelt burning with embarrassment, what was she thinking? Of course that they didn't need to run not any of those, most cats didn't even feel like going to look for a new camp, let alone fight. "Ah yeah, that was silly." She meowed, ears flattening a little in embarrassment.
Vine stayed quite, looking around her and listening for anything that might be around.

Aspenblaze swam alongside Herontuft, admiring his bravery. She deliberately let her tail intertwine with his, providing him with some mild comfort.

( Hello guys! Tagging all of you to ask, who here really wants to continue? I feel the rp is moving a bit too slow. I liked the characters and where it was going but I dunno. I guess we could maybe remake it to attract more users to pick up the pace, or just cancel it, or just continue here best we can?
