☁ THE FALL OF SKYCLAN ☁ ☁ WELCOME ☁Hello and welcome to this RP! I'm happy to see you reading this right now. There are not a lot of Claim-a-Cat roleplays on this website, especially ones involving canon characters. I wanted to see that change, and in a way that I haven't seen before. ☁ PLOT ☁In short, this RP will take place when SkyClan is chased out of the forest in the canon books. Roleplay will start before the gathering, when the SkyClan cats have started seeing the destruction approaching their camp. Eventually they will be chased out by the other Clans. As SkyClan is the main focus, there are more cats listed, though the allegiances are for the most part from Cloudstar's Journey. I thought this would be fun as the original SkyClan doesn't have much focus and many of the characters do not have any personality. ☁ RULES ☁- Literacy isn't that much of a big deal, but use proper grammar and spelling please. I do not mind one liners, but I would prefer a little more if you're RPing an important position. Longer posts are perfectly fine, too.
- You can only claim one leader or deputy. You cannot claim a leader and a deputy at the same time unless not all positions are taken.
- You can only claim one medicine cat or medicine cat apprentice.
- You can only claim a maximum of three characters as of now.
- No roleplaying any characters besides the ones open for claim.
- Please treat all members with respect, I don't want any fighting outside of RP.
- No spotlighting, powerplaying, etc. You know the drill.
- No starting drama or plot points without permission.
- No roleplaying a character that isn't claimed by you.
- If you are roleplaying a leader, deputy, or medicine cat, please be active. There is no set time before you are deleted, but if I notice your absence for a while, you will be deleted.
- All roleplay takes place on this page, no matter what Clan.
- While a lot of these characters do not have established personalities, if you claim one that does, please do not RP out of character. Just... don't RP Cloudstar as evil.
☁ JOINING ☁If you wish to join, state which cat(s) you would like to claim. Before I let you go, though, I would like to see what kind of personality your character has so I can add it to the front page. Doesn't have to be anything special, just some general info about the character. Example: Buzzardtail- Ginger tom with green eyes. His mate is Fernpelt and his kits are Tansypaw, Mintpaw, and Snailpaw. The deputy of SkyClan, Buzzardtail gets along very well with Cloudstar. He is very willing to put his life on the line for the Clan and has no problems with leading a battle, even ones that seem hopeless. Despite this, he has a soft side, which helped him win over Fernpelt, his mate. Leader: Cloudstar- Small pale gray tom with white patches and very pale blue eyes. His mate is Birdflight, who is expecting. Deputy: Buzzardtail- Ginger tom with green eyes. His mate is Fernpelt and his kits are Tansypaw, Mintpaw, and Snailpaw. The deputy of SkyClan, Buzzardtail gets along very well with Cloudstar. He is very willing to put his life on the line for the Clan and has no problems with leading a battle, even ones that seem hopeless. (I finally feel good enough to get on here and RP, and I feel bad for not doing anything, so I'll go ahead and post some starters.)
Buzzardtail's eyes darted nervously around camp as he watched the Clan go about its daily business. The SkyClan deputy had already sent morning patrols for the day, and thus he didn't have much to do at the moment. His ears pricked as a low hum sounded from far away. Every day the Twolegs grew closer and closer to their camp, and the thought made him more nervous than anything else. What would become of them if the Twolegs didn't stop? He curled his tail around his paws, deep in thought.
"Mouse dung," Rainleap hissed to herself, watching a bird flutter away in the wind. Prey was already hard enough to find due to the noise, and the fact that she missed the catch made her dig her claws into the soil. She usually wasn't concerned with the increasing activity, only annoyed. She tasted the air to see if anything else was nearby.
Snailpaw was asleep in the apprentice's den, appearing to be oversleeping. He wasn't the most enthusiastic warrior, as he wasn't too skilled in either hunting or fighting. He snored lightly.

Birdflight was laying in a spot of shade, trying to find a comfortable position to lay in, her rather large belly hampering her efforts. She raised her head as she heard the hum of the Twolegs, and sighed, her ear flicking. They were really starting to worry her, with how close they were getting to camp. It was just a matter of time before they didn't have any territory left.
Starlingfeather was still asleep, as he was usually a late sleeper, and he had been staying up late in the last moon or so, worrying over his daughter and her kits, as well as trying to see how far the Twolegs were from their camp.

Buzzardtail, spotting Birdflight, jumped down from where he was. The tom quickly approached the fresh-kill-pile and grabbed a dove, going over to where she was laying. "Have you eaten yet?" he asked her, setting the prey down. The queen was Cloudstar's mate and well into her pregnancy, which inwardly scared the deputy. Soon enough the Twolegs would draw too close, and he worried that both her and Hazelwing would be too occupied to move away safely.
Snailpaw awoke with a start as a tree fell in the distance. Noticing how bright it was outside, his heart sank. His mentor was going to chew him out for sure! He exited the den, looking around and sighing relief as he saw no sight of Mousefang. May as well attend to the elders. he thought, poking his head in the den.

Birdflight opened her eyes, looking up at the deputy and her friend." I'm fine, Buzzardtail.", she said softly." I just need to cool down.", she said, glancing up at the sky, where the sun shone down, already quite hot.
Starlingfeather heard the young cat, and raised his head groggily, yawning." Who's there?", he asked.

"If you insist." Buzzardtail nodded. It really was quite unpleasant outside, with the noise and heat. He decided to change the subject. How far along with your kits?" he asked. She was the only expecting cat in the Clan.
"Er... it's Snailpaw." The apprentice ducked his head in slight embarrassment. He didn't know the elder was asleep, too! Could he ever get anything right? "I- I was wondering if you needed anything by chance..." he trailed off.

"Only about a half moon away from the kits coming.", she said with a soft sigh, her tail flicking anxiously at that, as another tree fell in the distance. She was starting to get more and more worried about what her kits lives would be like.
Starlingfeather yawned, and got up, stretching." Just a wake up call.", he said with a chuckle." I've been sleeping far too late this last moon.", he said, and smoothed his chest fur down a bit.

"I see..." Buzzardtail blinked. He couldn't show worry, not now. "We'll make sure you stay safe," he said, referring to the fallen tree. "Aside from that, has it been pleasant for you?" The deputy asked, starting small talk.
"Oh." Snailpaw mewed. He wouldn't admit that he was guilty of the same thing, just in case he would rat him out to Mousefang. "Do you need any prey? Company? Anything?" he offered. He didn't want to go out and mess up.

She smiled softly." Quite.", she said, though she didn't elaborate. She didn't mean to be rude, but her mind was now going, and it was hard to focus on the conversation with Buzzardtail while she was worrying about the kits inside of her.
Starlingfeather smiled, and sat down." Company would be nice.", he said, smiling st the young cat." How is your training going?", he asked. He always loved to hear how the apprentices were doing.

Buzzardtail nodded in agreement. "He hasn't felt like himself recently. I've no doubt the twolegs are getting to him." He admitted. "I hope we can get through this..." he sighed. The deputy wondered how long they could go without help from the others...
"The other apprentices beg to differ." Snailpaw snorted. "Always having competitions on who's the best hunter or fighter. I don't like it much."
