Ravenstep let out a small purr of amusement, feeling his ears heat up slightly. He realized suddenly that he was over the grief that his sister caused him that morning and let out a happier purr, relaxing.

Featherstar pushed her way into the nursery to see Autumnleaf laying, exhausted, with four kits suckling. Featherstar smiled and gave the queen a lick on the head. "Congratulations, Autumnleaf. Have you named them yet?"
The queen nodded. She leaned down and touched a brown and white she-kit. "This is Heatherkit," she meowed softly. She touched a dark gray tabby tom, saying, "This is Shadowkit." She gently licked a light gray she-kit, "This is Frostkit," she meowed, and then she touched her nose to the smallest kit, who was missing the majority of her tail. "And this is Fawnkit."

Brindlewing slipped out of camp and padded over the smooth terrain. He looked up in the tree to find a squirrel eating a nut. He slowly climbed the tree and stalked along a branch. He was ready to leap when he heard a cat jump out behind him. Brindlewing felt this cat hold onto him tightly as the rolled off of the branch. kicking his back legs to free himself he managed to get a soft blow in before hitting the ground. After hitting the hard ground, the pair broke free from each other. He turned to face his attacker, only to find Maplefern laughing and licking a small scratch n her chest.
"Maplefern! you could of hurt us both!" he scolded her as if she was a kit. He felt blood ooze from a scratch on his forehead.
Maplefern turned around. "don't tangle up your fur! we didn't get hurt. besides, that is just a skinny old squirrel."

Featherstar smiled at the queen. "I will leave you be," she murmured. "I'll be back to visit later. And I will announce to the clan the birth of Heatherkit, Shadowkit, Frostkit, and Fawnkit." She trotted out of the nursery.

Brindlewing leaped forward and tripped Maplefern. "haha" he smiled as she got up and dusted her off her pelt.
Maplefern leaped forward and tried to claw at Brindewing but brindlewing charged past her. The siblings ran and played before Maplefern ran into a thorn bush.
"wow it looks as if you fought a thorn bush and it won" Brindlewing commented on her matted fur that was filled with thorns after he got out

Stormstrike and Freckletail looked up from where they were sitting, paying attention to their leader.
Aspenfang finished the mouse he was eating and stepped over to the gathering group of cats.
Brightwhisker left the warrior's den and also gathered with her clanmates to the clan meeting.

Firewind padded over to where the rest of the clan was gathering and sat down.
Amberheart jumped up and ran over to join the clan meeting.
When all the cats were gathered, Featherstar began. "I have some good news," she meowed. "Autumnleaf has just kitted. She has four healthy kits. Three she-kits and one tom. The she-kits are Heatherkit, Fawnkit, and Frostkit, and the tom is Shadowkit. We welcome them as the newest members of WaterClan."

Shadewillow padded out of the den with a bright face as she went over to see the meeting. Thankfully all had went well during the kitting and she could feel happy about these new kits in the clan. The kits were healthy and strong, and there was nothing to worry about.

Featherstar leaped down from the rock.
Firewind went to the fresh-kill pile and picked out a fish to eat.
Amberheart decided to go out to hunt. She padded out of camp, toward the shore of the island so that she could fish.
Autumnleaf licked her kits lovingly.

Brindlewing followed Amberheart out, keeping to the shadows. He didn't want to startle her but he wanted to hunt with her

Amberheart crouched on the shore, staring intently into the water. Suddenly, she flashed her paw into the water and flung a fish out of the water. She quickly killed it with a sharp bite.

Amberheart rolled her eyes. "You don't suck, you're just impatient. You have to wait until the fish is exactly where you want it." She crouched down, watching the silver flickering in the water. "Then you have to anticipate where it's going to go next." She flashed her paw into the water and pulled out the fish, killing it quickly.
