(It's okay! :3) "We should be worried, there could be more poisoned prey!" Starlingwisp said, and sat down beside the tom. "Here, rest your head and body, you...you wore yourself out a lot..." she said, not exactly how to explain the earlier events. She began to gently clean his fur as well, picking up small traits of a horrible foul taste, quickly lapping at some water as she did so to get it out of her mouth. She then frowned, "Breezestar, please come here!" she addressed the leader, worriedly as she watched Littleear. Littleear didn't argue, resting his chin on the ground as Starlingwisp helped clean his fur. Though he felt a little coddled, it honestly was a big scare and he wasn't going to worry about how he looked at the moment. "I-I guess you're right.." He mumbled.

"Brother!" Starlingwisp called, looking wildly for Breezestar, but remaining by Littleear. "It's alright Littleear, you're fine. I'm sorry for treating you so helplessly, I just..." She remembered her sister, whom had passed a while back, and sighed. She always felt the need to help any cat like that, isn't that what Ravenfur would want?

"Oh." Nectarfur tries to keep the grave tone out of his voice. That could mean many things. The friends continued past Twilight clan territory, they were still in the area but were no longer friends, the friends had passed, and so many other things Nectarfur could think of. He offers the other cat a laugh, it was a bit strained even to his ears- but hopefully the atmosphere would clear quickly. "It sounds like a good skill indeed!" Nectarfur looks up at the trees with a bit of unease. Not every branch would be sturdy, and he would hate to end up on one of those. "I suppose if Ravenpaw is up to the task I could not refuse either!" His courage should at least match his apprentices on this matter, "Ah yes!- Well. No? I am a warrior, it is a role within our clan. I protect those who reside there and teach younger cats to do the same. One day Ravenpaw shall be a warrior as well." Mikel flicked his ears back as he listened to what Nectarfur said about warriors. So, warriors protected those they care about, at their camp? It sounded pretty fair. It sounded like something Mikel would have loved to learn before...well, before those foxes came and took Sherlock and Donnie away from him. He huffed at the memories flooding through him again and turned his head towards the apprentice. "So they'll become a warrior too..." It wasn't like he was actually considering joining the clan. Shortie--no, Leafheart--was still there and thriving while he was out here grieving. It just didn't feel fair. He didn't want to join the clan because he was weak. He didn't want to be around any other cats at the moment, anyway. He needed to be alone until he could figure out what he'd do. Though, the loneliness felt worse sometimes. He could see Nectarfur's unease about the top of the trees and he snorted in amusement. "You look scared to climb them. Don't be. It's not as bad as it seems, ya know, unless you fall or something." He teased, tail moving lightly to the side. (i just like the idea of Mikel completely trusting Nectarfur over time and becoming his friend and finding some happiness in his grief? and maybe he finds Leafheart too)

(I can see it! Nectarfur also lost his mate so I imagine the two could go through the grieving process of that together. Nectarfur has put a lot of his time into raising Twigpaw instead of grieving too so... Nectarfur is a sweetie x'D I'd love to see them becoming friends and happy) "Yes they shall!" He only hoped he could train Ravenpaw into the warrior they hoped to be, and that maybe his teachings of morality would rub off in some ways. After all, the war had been fought in the name of the warrior code; cats these days didn't know how to look at situations from the point of view of a cat who followed a code and a cat who used compassion to make judgment. Some cats were too compassionate and that was a problem as well. "Though, no warrior is the same, all mentors teach specific tricks and methods to their apprentice, so one warrior is very varied from another." Nectarfur could only wonder what Lightningstrike was teaching Twigpaw. The she-cat was so fast and had quite the temper. "Ah, are you teasing me, frien-Mikel," Nectarfur tosses his head back and laughs, "Unless I fall or something, as if that is the only thing to fear!" ~~~~~~ Hawkeyes258 (I definitely didn't put any indicator that this was a response to you Hawk, I am so sorry x'D ) "What are good moves for escaping if another cat has you?" Twigpaw sucks in a quick breath and readies himself The belly-rake was always useful if you were pinned, but you had to be facing up. If they had you by the scruff, then what? "And it's better to stay on the ground, right?" If they climbed a tree it was less likely they'd come back down in one piece.

(Hello Everyone!! First off, I want to apologize for suddenly disappearing. Life caught up to me pretty hard the past week, and I've been pushed to place priority on things like finishing up my degree, planning my move to my university and a lot of other big stuff. I also just recently got my wisdom teeth removed, so my ability to do much of anything other than sleep has been limited. But, excuses aside, I'm very sorry for dropping off without letting anyone know! I am back now and will be posting up all of my replies to my RPs within the next few hours, and catching up with those users that I need to catch up with. Again, very sorry for the inconvenience I've caused, but I'm back up and running now and will be replying shortly!)

( Ok So for starters I just want to say that I LOVE the idea of the sickness! I think it only really needs to be semi-realistic, though, otherwise we're going to have cats dying off left and right lol. The amount of research you guys went to put into it is awesome, haha. Also, welcome to the new members, and welcome back Lime!! :3 ) NoviBadger only made what could be interpreted as a grumbling scoff. Secretly, he was warmed by the fact that his old apprentice still held some affection for him, but outwardly he knew he had to keep pushing Ivyfang to branch out within the clan It was best for him if he felt a connection to his clan over some old loner- that was the warrior code, after all. He notes the curious look in Scarlet's face, her small wide eyes darting back and forth between himself and Ivyfang as they speak. Already he can tell there will be a flurry of questions he will have to answer later on, so for now he cuts the conversation off. "Ivyfang, I think it's about time you return to Twilightclan. You need to serve your duties as a warrior at least sometimes" he meows, the teasing note back in his tone. "Besides, I think Scarlet is about due for a mid-day nap." ------ ρυмρкιηqυєєη13"Yes.. they are" Dawnwish meowed, her tone wistful as she enjoyed the moment of peace, just her and her friend atop the breezy hill amidst the sea of bright, sweet flowers. Her pause lasted only a moment or two, and then she continued forward, gesturing towards the stalks. "Bite along the stem here, underneath the first set of leaves below the flower but not all the way to the base," she meows, demonstrating for Leafheart. She sets the flowers down at the other she-cat's feet. "Don't worry about carrying a whole bunch of them, either. A mouthful from each of us will keep the clan stocked for quite some time." ------- faundestwishes 𝕊𝕙𝕒𝕕𝕠𝕨"Yikes. I won't be having what she's having" Coonface commented lamely, but quickly shut her mouth when she noted the serious atmosphere. Nightpaw was wanting to warn her sister? Wasn't she that rude loner who was always taunting the warriors and apprentices from up in the trees? No matter. It was obvious that Nightpaw was very concerned, so she had to think of that firstly. "After we report this back to the clan we could always do a little search party for her, yeah?" Coonface added, siding with her mother. Privately, she thought it probably wouldn't be that hard to find her, but she knew the danger was real. "I'm gonna take care of this thing first though... dont want anybody else touchin' it." Carefully, Coonface dug a hole next to the forelorn creature and buried it, marking the spot with a overturned stone. She looks down at her paws with disgust. "Err.. I'll meet you guys back at camp, I gotta go wash my paws."

Nightpaw calmed herself, noticing she was making a fuss, and looked down. "No, my duty is to my clan, Yew can take care of herself, I have a feeling she might come to the clan as well when she notices." She said, trying to reassure herself. Though a bit shaken, she faked a smile and nodded, "Off to camp then?" She asked, looking Agnes her mentor gently.
Wispkit was watching Littleear from the shadows, the past rogue kit frowned and watched in terror. Starlingwisp seemed to be comforting the tom, but she was worried. She had once as a tiny kit seen a kitty pet responding similarly to eating a strange liquid, but that was before she was given the the clan, a mystery really, her parents just disappeared. At the memories she frowned, and let off a broken cry. They left me because I'm useless, I can't help because I can't talk! she thought angrily. Though she knew her muteness wasn't what made her useless, because she wasn't. But she felt so ignored, and yes, that was to be expected she was mute, but why didn't others notice her? She then ran into the medicine cat den, but...she didn't spot Dawnwish, leaving her in shock. A cat was horribly ill and the medicine cat must have been collecting herbs! She then resorted to curling into a ball, letting off tears of fear, she could never talk to anyone, she wanted to though, she wanted too horribly. But no matter how hard she tried to, she couldn't. The stress was getting to the young kit, leaving her in anguish and despair.

*Gives Wispkit a big hug*)
Mudtooth slowly makes his way into camp. He had a mouse in his jaws and headed to the fresh kill pile to drop it off. Hunting had help lighten his mood a little bit. Once he dropped the mouse off, he looked around to see what his clanmates were up too.

Coonface exchanged a look with her mother. It was obvious that Nightpaw was upset and trying to be brave- but she respected that about her. Coonface knew only too clearly how hard it could be, wanting for something that was outside of your clan. She felt a familiar kinship with the apprentice... perhaps someday she might teach her some good jokes! Bringing out humor always seemed to clear up ill feelings and break the tension for Coonface. Maybe it would work for Nightpaw too.
"Alright, well be careful you two" she meowed, and dashed off towards the marsh to wash her paws. She didn't want to waste a second. Things were sure to be interesting once they brought the news back to camp.

"Off to camp then..." Peony mumbles quietly as she watches Coonface bound away from them. She hoped she would be safe... Coonface was often times too much like her mother. Oblivious. She knew the way back to camp, so... Peony prayed to Star clan that nothing would happen.
"We'll go find her in a little bit, I promise you, Nightpaw. We have to be there for our family, after all. She may not be in the clan, but she's your family." She brushes her tail against her apprentice in a show of comfort and then moves to follow Coonface, "We should make this quick, we don't know if this is the only bird like this in the forest, someone might have found a bird when it was...a little less haggard." She takes off, making sure to stay close to her apprentice.

Nightpaw meowed and followed her mentor, and spotted a bit of yellow nearby, smiling in joy and turning to Peony, "I found her!" She said and pointed. She then raised her voice, "Yew come out of the trees!" She commanded.
Yew did so, and eyed her sister, waiting. As Nightpaw explained the situation, Hew nodded and looked at Peony and Nightpaw, "Thanks for telling me, if I find anything out about it I'll tell the clan," she added, and looked at her sister, sharing a quick moment by licking her sisters cheek and then bounding off.
Nightpaw responded by doing the same to her sisters cheek, and turned to Peony, "Let's go..." she said, nodding in reliefs.
(Sorry, low muse.)

The elders got as cranky as the kits when they were tired, but the elders put up a much stronger fight to avoid it, not wanting to seem weak. Still, at least Badger had a companion. And Scarlet didn't seem phased by the grouchy tom which was the first step. But now that she was going to be trained by him, would she continue to ignore his gruff words? Who knew. "But if you insist." He shrugged and turned around. "You can keep the bird. I can find more easily." With a wave of his tail, he disappeared back towards camp. Scarlet tilted her head to one side as she watched him go. Once he was out of sight, she peered up at Badger. "I'm not-" Her words were cut off by a yawn the she-kit struggled to fight down. "t-tired though...."

Littleear let out a huff, pushing himself to his paws shakily and brushing off Starlingwisp. "I'll.. I'll go to the medicine cat den myself, Dawnwish doesn't look like she's in camp," He began to stumble to the herb filled den, much to the annoyance of the she-cat who had just been next to him.

(okay !)
Littleear lay in the medicine cat den, cushioned into the nest for sick cats. After the bird situation, he'd quickly been told to take a pause on duties and stay in camp so Dawnwish could figure out what exactly was wrong with him, and so far it was because of the jay, in fact some other cats had found another one who had died in a similar way.

-
Hopfoot | 16 moons | Tom | Warrior | Lime
Still relatively small despite now being a warrior, Hopfoot is a little ginger tabby tom with short fur, a long tail, and grey-blue eyes. He is very curious, rather thick headed and can probably be described as "hyper" by his clan-mates, eager to do everything first and stick his nose in everyone's business, making him get on the nerves of more private cats easily. He often gets in trouble for apprentice-like reasons, and is well known for sneaking out of camp at night (usually with some of the younger cats) to just mess around in the forest and go 'exploring' (he's very vague about it and is likely going a tiny bit off territory where he shouldn't be). Hopfoot grew up in Twilightclan in the midst of the Dark Forest problem, but was mostly unaffected by it.

(Ah, alright !(
Littleear stopped, looking over his shoulder at the leader. He couldn't really explain what had happened honestly, so he cast a glance at Starlingwisp again, hoping she'd help explain for him. "I-I found a dead jay in the forest and picked it up to bring back to camp because it looked like it had been killed by another cat, but there was something foul about it," He turned around to face the leader, "and then Starclan knows why- I couldn't stand anymore for a few moments and I still feel sick to my stomach."

(sweet! ah, also, since it's been a moon now, should I finish out the scene and then we can start another scene or something? like they've known each other for a moon and such? or should we continue the scene?) "Depends, sometimes that can be the only thing to fear up in the trees," Mikel let out a small rumble of laughter. He was still curious about the training warriors taught their apprentices. He was in no way wanting to join a clan, but the way they trained one another on battles and fighting and codes and such intrgued him. He tilted his head at the bond between Ravenpaw and Nectarfur and wondered how it works when the apprentice becomes a warrior. Do they move on? Or do they still have a bond? Mikel assumed it was like friends, that they stay connected somehow. He mentally shrugged. It didn't really matter anyway. "About that training..." Mikel murmured, shifting his paws nervously, "Would you train cats outside of your clan? I mean, would you train other cats to fight too, or do you only train apprentices of your clan? I'm, um, still not really sure how that works, exactly."
