"No you aren't my dear. You're the sweetheart out of the two. Its just him!" Shaleheart's coo quickly turned to a sharp tone of annoyance, her tail lashing once before she tucked it to her. "The tom is not a nice cat. He had the gall to argue back. With me! The nerve!" She huffed out, taking a few quick bites as she tried to think of happier thoughts.

Wildmist shuffled her paws awkwardly, unsure of what to say.
She didn't want to insult Quakefur, as she really enjoys his company, but Shaleheart was like family to her.

He knew as long as she knew that he was teasing, then the conversation was worth it. That and as long as Shaleheart didn't find out what they were talking about. Brightpaw raced after her mentor without another look towards her brother. He was left sulking and tired as his sister lept out of camp. "I wonder what she'd do if she knew what we all thought about her," Eclipsefire murmured with a thoughtful smile. "How's your brother?" Coalspirit asked. |

Just an update, I added two more kitties for Anti-Sanji and let me say Rose sounds like a fun opponent in the future xD I would also like to add a formal welcome to our newest member ambercopper! Shaleheart noticed how uncomfortable Wildmist looked at her rant and let out a small sigh. She got up and sat next to the silvery she-cat and nuzzled her like a mother would do to her kits. "Don't let this old fur bag change how you act, alright? I may talk but don't take anything I say at heart my dear." she murmured, pulling back slightly to look her in the eyes to get her point across.
Rippleleaf let out a faux shutter of horror at the thought of Shaleheart finding out what they were talking about before laughing. "I really don't want to be in the same area as her when she finds out, that's for sure!" he exclaimed, throwing a glance towards the elder's den for good measure. Now that he thought about it, the shudder wasn't all for show! The elder had a tongue made of thorns.
Slowing down from her sprint out of camp, Brightpaw glanced up at her mentor with confusion in her eyes. "My brother? He's doing well. He may not be happy that I left him for training but he'd get over it! He always does. " she stated before sniffing the air for any near by prey. Finding a few old scents, Brightpaw turned her attention back to the older tom "What about your sister? " she asked, changing the subject.

Wildmist looked at Shaleheart and sighed. "I know, you're right." She agreed. She shifted her weight to sit up. "I hope one day both of you could get along. I hate having cats I like not like each other," she added.

"I would get along with the tom just fine if he apologizes... But if he means that much to you, I won't talk about him anymore. You mean much more to me than an old grudge" Shaleheart told the young warrior next to her. Her eyes softened as her apology continued and a small smile made it out onto her face. She told herself a long time ago that she loved this she-cat as a daughter but wouldn't press her feelings onto the young cat.

Wildmist's silver fur puffed up and grew hot with embarrassment. "Means that much? I didn't mean it like that. He's just a friend," she protested. She pressed her tail onto the older cat's flank, signaling she would of course accept her apology.

Rippleleaf had to laugh at that. It was unlikely to happen but made a hilarious image in his head "Let's not let her know! I do want to keep my pride" he purred out in amusement. He watched the grey elder chew out a few cats in his life and he never wants to be a target from her ire!
Brightpaw had to giggle out at his words, a smile crossing her face. "She sounds like she's another Wildmist! They're both so cool though " she chimed, glancing around again. She was scenting something around but couldn't put a claw on what it was just yet.
A merow of laughter left the elderly she-cat at the warrior's reaction and she had to smile at her. "Oh ease up my dear. I didn't mean it like that! But if that's the first thing you think of..." Shaleheart said, trailing off with a look of amusement in her faded amber eyes.

"I'm just teasing you my dear. Thank you for the vole and for keeping an old cat like me company." Shaleheart purred out, leaning in to give the she-cat another affectionate nuzzle before pulling away. Pride shown in her eyes for a moment as her purr continued as she padded back into her nest to finish her food. The silver she-kit was a pawful at first and she still is now but she also turned into an amazing warrior.

(( Hey friends! I just joined, looking forward to RPing in this clan! It's my first RP in... well, years, so sorry in advanced if I'm a little rusty ^^; ))
Gingerkit blinked her sleepy eyes at the Greenleaf sunlight filtering in through the moss curtain of the den. She slowly rose, yawning and stretching as she began to truly wake up. Padding out into the main camp, Gingerkit looked around to see who was around. She quickly spotted her favorite elder, Shaleheart, and Wildmist chatting across the way. Yes, Shaleheart is up! she thought as she bounded excitedly over to the old gray cat. "Shaleheart!" she mewed, "Shaleheart, can we go to Mirror Lake today? Pleaaaaase? Oh, and hi Wildmist. You can come too if you want!" she added, as if she was in control of the situation.

"You best do that! I think that tom is waiting for you though" Shaleheart mentioned, curling up in her nest comfortably while dragging the half eaten vole closer once again. She may not like Quakefur but she did glance out of the den when she was heading back to her nest, the black and white speckled tom was glancing from time to time irritably at the den before he finally caught her eye. She held in a small snicker at the thought but instead smiled up at the warrior. At the sound of Gingerkit's voice, Shaleheart's ear twitched towards the entrance. "Why hello there Gingerkit. You want to go to the lake today? I thought we went yesterday" the elder purred in amusement, glancing towards the little kit. She was ready to be an apprentice at this point but yet at the same time, she wasn't.

"Plus, it's not like you have a busy schedule..." she added quietly, not sure if Shaleheart would take so much sass with a light heart.
