Lilyspeckle bowed her head, murmuring a prayer to StarClan for both of the lost warriors. "Dusktalon," She began. "What do you think of the Alliance of four Clans?"
Russetsong staggered back but quickly regained her posture and zigzagged her way to Smokepaw, faking right and barreling him over on the left. With a triumphant yowl, she pinned him to the ground, trapping each of his paws, muzzle at his throat.

Smokepaw wriggled under the weight of his mentor trying to free one of his paws or move his head so he could head butt her before finally going limp. This was a last ditch effort she would probably see through but he would try it.

You shouldn't have let me get that close. If an enemy gets as close as I am to you right now," she scooted about as far as they were when she tripped him, "Then you can leap onto their backs and aim some blows at their sides." "I don't like it." Dusktalon mewed twitching the tip of his tail. "Just seems like it will bring more trouble than good." "I think it gives us a good chance to get to know each Clan more personally." Lilyspeckle wrapped her tail tightly around her paws. |

"I suppose." Dusktalon looked back at the waves and briefly glanced up to see birds flying over head. He remained quiet for a few more moments before speaking up again. "You know you aren't as bad as I thought."

Smokepaw watched Russetsong get into position and tried to leap on her back to batter her sides. He was overly confident thinking his mentor would let him use the move without adding anything to her attack.

Dusktalon chuckled a bit at this. Lilyspeckle glanced over at Dusktalon, feeling something spark in her chest, but wasn't sure what it was. She stared back out into the ocean. "Do you want to get closer?" she asked. |

Smokepaw watched Russetsong get into position and tried to leap on her back to batter her sides. He was overly confident thinking his mentor would let him use the move without adding anything to her attack. Russetsong watched Smokepaw leap and quickly shot backward so she faced him again. She then swiped at his ears and head with soft blows and sheathed claws, attempting the jump and spin on a tree behind her. |

Smokepaw didn't see the leap backward but he saw her attempt a jump and spin on the tree behind her and jumped out of the way.
Rosebriar lay dozing. She was not ready to accept that she wasn't able to do much for her clan while she was hurt.

Echostep questioned. She was unsure how some of the other cats felt. The general feeling was hostile but that was to be expected when rival clans combined. |

Smokepaw fell as his mentor swiped his paws from beneath him but he hooked them around her legs as he fell hoping to bring her down too.

Greywind twitches his whiskers and swipes his paw at his apprentice. "Come on let's go train. Unless you want to change the elder's bedding." He mewed.

Out of breath, she rolled back onto her paws, trying to pin Smokepaw before he regained his posture once more. "Do you mean move closer?" Dusktalon asked wanting to make sure he heard her right. "I don't care to much." Pinefrost mewed shrugging his shoulders. "Long as cats are nice to me I'll be nice to them." Lilyspeckle nodded. "The sand feels good on your paws." |

Smokepaw took advantage of Russetsong being out of breath and wriggle right out from under her paws. He began swiping at her.

Russetsong backed away quickly, distancing herself from Smokepaw. She crouched once more.
Lilyspeckle padded to the shore, sitting closer to Dusktalon than before. She felt her ears prick with heat again and stared out at the ocean instead of him.

Smokepaw watched Russetsong trying to gauge what she would do next. He took a breath realizing how tired he was becoming but tried to pretend he was fine. He prepared himself in case she tried to pounce on him.

Dusktalon digs his claws into the sand and paws at it. He found the sand to be rather soft and nice feeling. He blinked and takes in the salty air.
Pinefrost comes across from cobwebs and a few marigolds. He decided to look for a few more.
