OOC: Rp: Fennelseed looked over at Owleyes, "Hey, why don't we wait for sparring before we start ruffing up our apprentices," he chastised.
Amberpaw watched thoughtfully at the session. "A good move, I can use this for my training tonight," he thought. "Can I try it out, Owleyes?" he asked.

Leopardleap padded out of the camp. He noticed the training cats. He walked towards Lightningshadow, who seemed to be engaged in watching the training apprentices. "Hi," he mewed, feeling weirdly shy. "It's a good day for training, isn't it?" (Blue, I was wondering if it is okay for Leopardleap to have a crush on Lightningshadow, though it would never be answered back?) I was actually thinking that haha. Maybe he wold be liked back at some point? I mean if you want THEY could end up mates ?) Lightningshadow purred a greeting to the tom and glanced at him. "Yes it is!" She meowed and watched the apprentices practice. She was aware of the tom watching her and she wrapped her tail around her paws. (I am okay with them being mates, but I think it would be interesting to watch how Lightningshadow choose from the two toms, and see who wins out eventually!) Leopardleap wasn't aware that he was staring. He had never observed another cat's look that carefully, and he never thought he would. Yet he was there, looking at Lightningshadow like he'd seen her for the first time. He saw Lightningshadow wrapped her paws with her tail and finally noticed that his instant stare must have caused her discomfort. "It's good to see Gingerpaw joining the others," he mewed. "I feel like not seeing her training with the other mentors for ages, though she is doing pretty fine on her own."

"Yes I'm glad she is finally joining them!" She knew the apprentice had been through a lot lately and was never spending time with others. She glanced at the tom and flicked her tail across his muzzle playfully before looking at the apprentices again.

Leopardleap blinked in surprise. He tried to read the she-cat's mind by looking at her eyes, but the black she-cat was already focused on the training. His gaze shifted back to the apprentices, trying to concentrate, but couldn't stop himself from purring in delight.
Snowtuft had reached the forest. Frustrated about the earlier failure, she decided to help the Clan by finding herbs. She had learned a few skills from the medicine cat, and it could be useful now.
(I probably won't be on until tomorrow. Leopardleap might need to be absent for a while....)

Okay )) Lightningshadow glanced at the tom and purred before she started to groom her pelt. She wasn't sureally if she wanted to actually practice today or not. She started to feel tired now since she had been hunting all morning. "Do you want to come hunting? Or for a walk... or something..." She stammered, turning to the tom. Her fur grew hot and she looked at her paws. Lightningshadow suddenly regretted it knowing there was a chance he wouldn't want to.

Sparrowpaw sat beside the den, silently chewing on an old mouse. StarClan knows how old this is, he thought. He had no chance to get a larger or tastier piece as he had returned from hunting with his mentor quite early, even before most cats was awake. The apprentice had always liked to get up early, because then he could have the whole of the day. But now he knew he probably wouldn't go out again all day. Sighing, he looked at the mouse and brushed some dirt over the remaining parts of it. It was disgusting anyway, but a good start to the day - even if that day would be spent in camp.
(Dawnrise , who is Sparrowpaw's mentor?)

(Yay I'm back. Just took an exam. Glad it's over.) "It's a great idea to go for a walk," Leopardleap purred. The air is cool, but not too cold. Perfect weather for walking, at least that's what he thinks.
(I can mentor one of the apprentices, if they like?)

Awesome sounds like fun haha XD))
Lightningshadow purred and got to her paws. She glanced around before slipping into some ferns and heading toward a river. She loved to sit by the water or walk by it. It was so peaceful. She yawned as she walked.

Leopardleap noticed Lightningshadow yawning. "Having a tiring day?" he mewed with concern. He did not know the she-cat had been hunting, while he had stayed in the camp and rested, for he had been patrolling earlier in the morning.
Snowtuft, with catmint in her jaws, was returning back to the camp. She decided that she needs to try and get to know her Clanmates; being a rogue had taught her to be cold and distant, for it's hard to tell who is trustworthy when one's living alone.

Lightningshadow sighed and yawned. "I have been hunting since dawn. Haven't even been back to camp yet." She admitted and looked down. She knew she was working herself hard but her clan needed it. She looked up and met the toms eyes.

Leopardleap touched Lightningshadow's ear lightly with his tail. "I suppose you deserve some rest, then." He guided her to a dry spot beside the stream and sat down.

Briarspirit Can you be Sparrowpaw's mentor then, please? I'd be glad to! Dawnrise, could Snowtuft be Sparrowpaw's mentor?

Lightningshadow gladly settled down. She set her head on her paws and gazed at the running water. It was so peaceful here and she loved it. She shifted a little close to the tom, their fur just barely touching at the tips after a cool breeze swept through. She quickly moved away and felt her pelt go warm. What was she doing! She closed her eyes for a moment.

Leopardleap felt Lightningshadow drew close. Before he could react, he felt his Clanmate drew away. A sigh of disappointment escaped him, and he quickly darted a look at Lightningshadow, unsure of what she thinks about his reaction.

Lightningshadow glanced at him. Unsure what he thought about it. "I'm sorry." She murmured quietly. Resting her head back on her paws. Lightningshadow yawned again and curled her tail along side her body.

"No, it's fine," Leopardleap mewed quickly, perhaps too quickly. He wrapped his tail around his paws, finding it funny about himself mirroring what Lightningshadow had done earlier. He let his gaze fall only on the clear water before them. "I'm thinking about the forthcoming salmon season," he mewed, hoping to turn Lightningshadow's attention away from the awkward moments. "I really liked fishing."

Lightningshadow purred and nodded. "Fishing gave me an excuse to go swimming almost every day." She teased lightly. She loved to swim but she knew she would be judged if other cats saw her before fishing.

Leopardleap's eyes glowed in amusement. "I never know you're a good swimmer. I prefer to hunt on land, to swipe fish with my paws." he held out his unusually large paws. He sometimes felt that he was born to hunt for fish. "Perhaps you may teach me how to swim next time," he teased.

Lightningshadow met his gaze and nodded. "Sure! I'd be happy to." She purred, flicking his ear with her tail. She sighed and stretched out her body, laying her head on her paws once more. She was fairly tired but for some reason she didn't want to sleep yet.

Leopardleap looked at the apparently tired warrior. "You should go take a rest, or you could get into the water for a chill," he suggested. "That might wake you up." Then his eyes brightened up. "Or you could teach me to swim now! It'll be exciting."

Lightningshadow perked her ears. "Okay!" She got to her paws, ignoring the aching feeling. " it is basically like walking except you need to move your feet like you are almost running." She explained the best she could. She jumped into the river and went under water. She resurfaced and took a deep breath, she started to tread water as she gazed at the tom. I can't do this for long. I'm to tired. She thought to herself.

Leopardleap wasn't aware of his Clanmate's tiredness. He was overwashed by new, excited feeling; though he did not know it wasn't purely generated from the excitement of learning a new skill. He got into the water, moved his legs wildly but found himself sinking down. I''m going to drown! In fear of death, he tried to push the water away hard but only sank deeper into the cold water.

Lightningshadow purred and grabbed his scruff, dragging him up. "Not like that stupid furball." She teased. Setting him in shallow water she showed him again. This tme demonstrating how to tread water.

Leopardleap coughed, spitting out the water that went in his nose. He blinked and tried again. "Like this?" he mewed without confidence, trying to mirror Lightningshadow's moves.

Lightningshadow nodded approvingly. "Exactly. Good job!" She purred and ducked under the water, going right to the bottom before pushing off and re-surfaced. She panted as she took a breath and went close so she could touch the ground with her head above water.

Leopardleap, watching Lightningshadow's each move so closely that it's impossible to ignore the fact that she's very tired, could finally pick up how bad an idea it was to swim right now. He shook his head and stood up in the water. "It's getting a little cold," he lied. "I think I'll try swimming another day." He nudged her up the shore. "Come, we should get back to the camp and rest." (I kinda think I'm making Leopardleap a dumber cat than I wished, maybe it's because the stupidity of the roleplayer is infecting the cat! )

Lightningshadow let out a sigh of relief. "Okay, good idea." She meowed. She licked his cheek before leaping back up the shore. She flopped down on the ground and let out her breath, panting as she rested her head down. She closed her eyes for a moment.

Leopardleap shook his wet pelt. The cool weather had been a blessing before, but now it's turning to a threat. He knew they have to dry themselves up soon if they didn't want to get sick. "Come on, Lightningshadow," he mewed encouragingly. "It's getting cold. It'll be warmer back in camp." He tried to help her up, cursing himself for his mouse-brain idea of suggesting to swim.
