Concentrating so hard his face scrunched up, Flickering Light focused carefully on the sound in front of him, careful to stay absolutely still.
"Maybe four or five foxlengths?" He meowed to his mentor carefully, before readjusting his ears, shaking his head, correcting himself. "No, actually I think it's three." Eagerly awaiting his mentor's advice, he sat down, tail curling over his front paws.

[ Ooc: ] I actually usually suck at training... but i have to say this is actually going really well, i think it might be battle training that i suck at lol
[ Rp: ] Violetleaf smiled, "You were right the first time, it's actually 5 fox length away." the tom mewed, "Now that you tried to locate it with your ears, your going to try and catch it with only using your ears." He told the apprentice, the warrior got low into a hunting crouch, "When you in your hunting crouch, you need to keep you legs even with eachother. If you dont your fall flat on your face." He showed flickering light, the warrior legs were leveled and his tail was sticking straight out. "Keep your legs leveled with each other makes it easier to run without any sound." Violet leaf sat up the nodded his head telling the tom is was his turn to try it.

With a brief nod to his mentor, Flickering light evened out his shoulders and dropped into the proper hunting crouch. His paws crept forward slowly, his ears pricked forward as to sense any kind of movement. The lazy scrabbling of the ground squirrel indicated it had no idea of the cats around him. Inching forward, careful not to make a sound, his back muscles tensed, making him ready to leap forward at any given moment. Unsheathing his claws, and stepping one foot forward, he landed on a small stick. The squirrel looked up in alarm, but leaping as fast as possible, he grabbed the creature and killed it with a swift bite to the neck. "Mouse-guts!" he exclaimed, "I didn't see the twig there."

[ Rp: ] Violet leaf giggled, "Thats okay, The first time i tried hunting in the fog I scared a squirrel, it was so funny, the look on that squirrel's face." Violet leaf laughed, "At least you still caught it." He praised the apprentice. Although the apprentice was 10 moons but this would be the first time hunting in fog. It was sunhigh, "This should be good for today, we can always catch some more on the way back to camp. " Violet leaf mewed and picked up his catch turning around and starting to head towards camp.

Flickering Light dipped his head, and picked up the squirrel gently. Give his thanks to the prey, and the tribe of sleeping souls, he turned his head in the direction back to camp. "You coming or not?" He mewed, his voice muffled by the squirrel pelt. Thin shafts of sunlight were breaking through the dampening mist, lighting the valley magnificently.

I think i might get rid of the claim a cat charries.
And time skip
[ Rp: ] The entrance to camp came into view, the pale sunlight shining down on the waterfall making it shine. Violetleaf trotted up to the side of the water fall, and climb up the rocks that almost seemed like stepping stone, which led to the camp entrance, Violetleaf could feel the mist on his pelt which made his fur damp. Although he didn't mind, He looked down the stepping stones from the top and waited for Flickering light to catch up.

Dangling from his jaws was a small mouse and a larger squirrel. Flickering Light increased his speed in order to catch up to Violet Leaf. The entrance became closer and closer as he leaped from stepping stone to stepping stone. His belly gurgled. Until then, he hadn't noticed how hungry he was! The mouthwatering scent of the prey in his jaws made him drool slightly. The sooner he was in camp the better. Padding through the camp entrance, he dropped his two pieces of prey on the fresh-kill pile, renewing the supplies. Smiling, he waited for his mentor to drop his prey down too.

[ Rp: ] Once flickering light and entered camp, so did Violet leaf, The warrior also put his prey on the fresh kill pile. Violet leaf had eaten early this morning, but since there were no elders or queens in the clan, he only made sure that the leader was fed first. As he rummaged through the prey pile for a piece of prey for their leader his tummy rumbled, giggling he mewed to Flickering light who also might be hungry. "Good job today!" He praised his apprentice, "Would you mind picking me out a mouse while i go deliver this to Night Whisperer?" The grey tom asked the apprentice, before heading to the entrance. But he didn't leave he took a right at the entrance which led to the Leaders den. |

- - - Nodding to his mentor before seeing him turn away, he smiled at the praise. He looked at the fresh-kill pile, now better stocked than before, Flickering Light gently picked up the mouse he had added, and left it where Violet Leaf could eat. He stared at the fresh-kill pile for a moment, trying to decide what to eat. As if to say hurry up his belly gurgled again. Deciding on a plump muskrat, he walked a few fox lengths away from the prey pile, and crouched down to eat. A purr rumbled in his throat as he bit into the muskrat, it was a delicious choice.

[ Rp: ] It was a couple of minutes before Violet leaf came around the corner and entered the clearing, He looked for Flickering light and then his prey, seeing it was next to the apprentice, he padded over with a smile and plopped down. "Yummy." The warrior mewed, not waiting to dig in. The warrior savored his first bite before taking another, "Tomorrow we can battle train." He mewed in between bites.

- - - Well, my personal opinion obviously isn't going to be everyone's opinion- but so far pretty good c: There are a couple spelling errors, but that's not make or break when it comes to clans. There's two graphical problems, but i'm sure you can fix it anyways. Number 9 on rules is over the layout, and the customs flower is underneath. I really like the idea of the clan, I think the traditions are good, and the presentation is really good too!))

Yeah i actually biased it off of a tv show on netflix lol there there was a huge tree that trapped demons in a time warped prison and there is only one person that can save and protect the tree.. but in the show the girl sacrifices herself and becomes the treee because the tree was dying lol

I was just thinking, perhaps there being no medicine cat could be part of the plot, and they are looking to the tribe of Sleeping Souls to pick out a new medicine cat? Perhaps the predecessors died of some mysterious disease, so the tribe was left with no medicine cat or apprentice.))
Eyes. So many eyes. Little Rain stared at the camp, watching intently as each cat passed through, her tail flicking quietly. Across the camp, directly opposite her, was Violet Leaf and his apprentice. Turning her head away from them, her gaze fixed on the pool. She padded up to it, her pawsteps echoing gently as she approached. The water was still. Her night had been plagued by nightmares and darkness, but the pool gave her some comfort. Swallowing, she realized the back of her tongue was dry, she'd forgotten to drink. Bending her head down, she began to lap up the cool water.

Well the clan doesn't have a normal starclan and darkforest... their starclan is in the form of tree spirits Called The tree spirits... from princess mononoke, their starclan also comes down during a festival on the full moon, there is def going to be a plot which would need dark forest members.
But the dark forest is called, well idk yet... im firguring things out as i go... for now im just calle them the evil forces lol but they are cats, but there spirits are smoke, since they are smoke like they can manipulate their bodies so they can like float or fly lol
