[ Ooc: ] I know, Im surprised too! Maybe is the claim a cat thing or something idk. I feel like everyone would have flocked to the tribe with a nice layout, but there all at clans that dont have any layouts so i don't know, but thank you! I wanted to base it off two things alaska and an old clan i used to run.
oh is the description of the territory and camp confusing? Im always worried that people wont see what i see, cause im horrible at explaining things.
But his mentor is Violetleaf

- - - Flickering Light blinked heavily, forcing his eyes to open. The dismal grey clouds flocked the sky, contributing to the young tom's mood. Splaying his front legs in front of him, he stretched and yawned, his tail flicking lazily. I want to train he thought to himself, wondering why his mentor hadn't got him up as early as usual. Padding out of the pupil's den, his gaze scanned the clearing, looking for Violet Leaf. Suppressing a yawn, he meowed across the camp, his tone dampened slightly by sleepiness. "Violet Leaf? I'm up!"

- - - I thought everything was incredibly well explained if I'm honest, I loved the layout, the descriptions, everything. I find it hard to join clans I haven't had a hand in making, but I really liked the idea of this tribe, and I'm really unsure why people haven't joined. Perhaps people will once they see a few people roleplaying?))

That reassures me a lot >.< Yeah that's what i always thought but its hard rping by yourself lol I feel like this rp is going to get really weird once summer rolls around... cause in summer alaska is light out until 2 in the morning, and in rp that literally all day. they aren't going to sleep lol XD
[ Rp: ] Violet leaf was out of camp at the moment, but he could barely hear the tom call for him, since he was only just outside the entrance. The tom padded back in, his paws leaving dark grey paw prints as he walked over the stone then on the moss covered clearing. He saw Flickering light and headed over to him, "Yes i can see that your up." The tom giggled, "Today were going to hunt, because I've already took the dawn patrol." The tom smiled, he turned away from the apprentice and headed back towards the entrance skirting around the small clear water pool that sat in the middle of camp.

Holding the mrrow of excitement in his throat, Flickering Light leaped to his paws, his tail twitching. He cast his gaze over to the fresh-kill pile, which was dwindling slightly. Thinking to himself he promised to catch as much prey as he could. Puffing his chest out, and trying to hiding the kit-like energy coursing through his skin he asked his mentor- "Where will we be going? Can we go to the valley? Or the quite woods? Or by the lake?" He trailed off in realization that he hadn't allowed Violet Leaf the chance to speak.

[ Ooc: ] Well as of right now i guess it could be a part of the plot, cause there are sick cats which would result in death, but the healer is open to anyone (Not just anyone a semi-advance and active person would get the spot. Example - if you asked for healer i would reserve it for you until i could see how active you are if that makes sense same goes for apprentice and council members.
[ Rp: ] Violet leaf chuckled with amusement at the tom's excitement, "I was thinking we could hunt in the quite woods and the valley today, it's important to learn to hunt everywhere in the territory." he smiled at the tom and padded through the entrance, engulfed by darkness to only be splashed with pale light again when the two reached the outside, Violet leaf skirted around the huge waterfall that hid the entrance. The mist on his fur felt refreshing, Violet leaf looked back at the tom before heading out towards the valley.

Carefully following his mentors pawsteps, Flickering Light felt the damp mist on his pelt. Shivering slightly, he gently flicked each paw before putting them back on the misted pathway, attempting to rid them of the uncomfortable feeling of being cold and damp, completely unlike the waterfall spray that reminded him of home. He noticed how much more muscular his mentor was than his own body, silently vowing he would one day look and feel as experienced as him. "The weather isn't as great for hunting. It's all foggy, I can barely scent anything!"

Actually everything is open, but (Night whisperer) i dont need a deputy to run my clan. lol
wait cats can smell through fog right?
[ Rp: ] Violet leaf looked at the tom, "Then you'll just have to practice scenting things." He mewed still walking, but skirting around trees and bushes. "It doesn't matter wether the weather is great for hunting, what matters if that you have a whole clan to feed." He flicked the tom on the ear with his tail, the camp entrance was now a few tree lengths away. He peeked at Flickering light and smirked, "I'll race ya." Even though Violet leaf was a warrior he had tendencies of having the excitement of an apprentice.

- - - Yep they can, just it's harder as the air is thicker? I remember in the warriors series, some cat commented on how it was harder to find prey, but the prey finds it harder to hear you or something haha))
Flickering Light nodded briefly, before returning a grin to his mentor, mischievousness tainting his gaze. "Are you sure your old bones are ready for this?" He asked cheekily, a hint of warmth entering his tone. Without waiting for an answer, he pelted off into the direction of the valley, his paws thundering on the ground, scrabbling away at the dirt at each paw step.

[ Rp: ] Violet leaf "My Old Bones are what kept you fed through the winter!" He called after the apprentice, he then started to sprint, easily gaining speed. Although he did have more weight to carry then the apprentice, which in a way made him slower but his leaps were bigger. The trees started to thin out at they headed east, and the ground turned from pine needles to soft grass.

- - - Flickering Light quite easily fell behind his mentor, even though his paws were pounding as hard and as fast as they could possibly go. His pads were sore from the unkind ground, As the terrain went from the coarse pine needles, to soft grass, he sighed gratefully. His breathing was ragged and uneven, he was running as fast as possible. With a grunt, he slowed into a trot. "Alright, you win!" he spat, a hint of disgruntled-ness to it. He didn't like losing, even though it was a given when he was competing with his more experienced superior.

[ Rp: ] Violet leaf came to a stop a top the soft grass, turning around her puffed our his chest, walking around in large circles and had a look of sarcastic pride, "Ha ha I win." He mewed, his tone clouded with sarcasm. He turned to Flickering light, "But learn from your losses, Competing is the best way to see what you did wrong." he paused, "So that next time, you wont make the mistakes again." He padded up to the apprentice and put a paw on his head, rubbing it; making the fur on the toms ruffled and stick out. "but don't worry over time as you grow older, you'll get bigger, even one day you'll be able to out run me." He mewed then gave the tom a soft smile.

- - - Flickering Light smiled at his guardian, a wave of pride flooding forward. He was lucky, he had the best guardian in the whole clan! Once Violet Leaf had finished mentoring him, he would be invincible! With a crooked smile, he nudged his mentor on the shoulder good-heartedly, silently promising that next time he would do much better and praying that the prey wouldn't be half as fast as Violet Leaf.
"Next time you'll find it much harder to beat me," he growled playfully, before flicking his ears, and giving his fur a quick lick. "I bet I can outrun all the other apprentices!"

Hunting, but the tom mewed again this time his tone was filled with amusement, "Im sure your the fast one out of all the apprentices, I don't think they were ever able to keep up with me." He smiled, the sun had well pasted dawn, and was know it was almost sunhigh.

[ Rp: ] Violet leaf tasted the air, the scent was weak. "That is a deer mouse." The warrior mewed, "Hutning in the fog is a little tricky." The tom tasted the air again, "what what i do" He softly mewed to the apprentice, he tasted the air again and strained his ears ; he heard rustling in the grass, the mouse was only a few fox lengths away. Once he pin pointed the deer mouse, he dropped down and quickly ran forwards in the fog. A few second later he came back with the Mouse in his jaws, setting the prey down. "When its foggy out, you can't rely on your eyes, you have to smell and listen with your ears; Close your eyes and tell me what you smell and hear." Violet leaf mewed to his apprentice, he sat down and flick his ear swishing his tail back and forth with a smile on his face. |

Faintly, towards the north direction, he found a dwindling scent of squirrel. "I've found a scent trail!" He mewed excitedly, but not too loudly, making sure he wouldn't scare any prey away.

[ Rp: ] Violet leaf watched the tom as he found a prey scent, he nodded. "Now with your ears tell me how far away is it?"
The tom asked the apprentice, when he was an apprentice this part of hunting was really hard for him, but practice makes perfect. The tom laid his tail on his legs and tasted the air, also straining his ears. Violetleaf could tell that it was a ground squirrel and the squirrel was a few fox length away, but not too close.
