Icewind; Staring down at her apprentice, she watched her carefully. She had expectancy dancing in her cold eyes. She wanted her apprentice to do her best on the hunt. She cared for Sootpaw, despite how strict she was towards her. Icewind spread her wings, revealing the white beneath them. Bending her legs, she leaped into the air and her wings beat, giving a gust of air. Her powerful wings allowed her to hover beside them. She didn't want to take the risk of staying on the ground and stepping on a twig, after all. Following Owlstar, she was just above her almost the entire time, her shadow playing as an intimidation method.

Owlstar noticed that Icewind had taken flight. Deciding that she should too, she took off with a powerful beat of her wings. Soaring, she went low, searching for prey.

[alright. ] Sootpaw saw her two clanmates take off, and spread her own wings- as tired as they were- to lift off the ground. Getting a good running start, she hurled herself forawrd, and was propelled into the air. She hovered for a few seconds, and felt the wind. South. The young she-cat quickly angled her dark gray wings so they were diagonal of sorts (which would allow her to hover, though still fly forward), gave a few extra flaps, and glided in the opposite direction of Owlstar and Icewind to find prey of her own.

Owlstar settled her feathers and held them still, careful not to make any noise. Tasting the wind, she detected a faint prey scent. Spotting the water vole by the stream, she stealthily glided over the ground, making sure not to drag her paws. As silent as could be, she reached forward with her jaws and suddenly dropped on the vole. Quickly giving it a bite to the neck, she felt blood warm her mouth. She licked her lips in anticipation of eating it when they got back to camp.

Icewind; Seeing that the other two cats had gone opposing directions, she proceeded to just go straight. Finding herself in a tree, her eyes scanned the ground carefully. Her nose wasn't exactly that strong, so she usually stuck to what she could see. Occasionally she could scent out a piece of prey, but most of the time, she had to spot it first. Which is the reason she stuck to birds, as she could fly aerially and spot them. From there, it was one timed free-fall and aim. Sighing, Icewind took off into the sky again. Her wings pounded against the colder wind up above. She managed to keep them quiet and not push anything over. Slowly flying over trees, she spotted a finch, singing on a branch as if it had no cares in the world. Staring at it for a few seconds, a little bit of jealousy joined her. That finch had no duties, and it just sang like everything good was in the world. Oh, but how wrong it was. Nothing was good in the world, at least not to Icewind it wasn't. There was so much darkness that light was just drowned out. She growled lowly, pushing these thoughts out of her head and flying higher. Keeping her eyes on the bird, she soared higher, waiting until it's head was turned away from her. The moment it was, she dove down, using her wings to propel her. As the finch turned it's head again, she was right there, hitting it off the branch with her paw. Claws sinking into it, she aimed for the wings first. It couldn't escape from her if she disabled it's wings. Hearing a cry of pain, she lengthened her wings so she wouldn't hit the ground. She managed to catch her prey with a rounded paw. This seemed to be a luckier hunt, as she hadn't been able to pull off something like that before. Gently biting it's neck, she felt the creature fall limp. Looking up at the sky, she prayed for the passing of the bird and that it would reach the place where fallen prey goes safely while singing it's happy songs. In this process, she had managed to drop the bird. She watched it hit the ground, and dropped next to it, picking it up with her teeth triumphantly.

Owlstar pawed at the ground, digging a hole to shove the prey inside. Thank you StarClan. She dropped the vole, then covered it in dirt to hide the scent.

Milkwhisker gave a yawn, stretching his paws as the elder finally awoke. Turning on his side, he saw his mate, Hickoryleap, was already awake and had begun to preen her feathers. "Why didn't you wake me?" The elder tom grumbled with a rasp in his voice as he stared at his eternally messy pelt. Hickoryleap gave an affectionate purr. "You're really telling me that? Every time someone wakes you, you're as mad as a fox in a fit." She licked his nose and waved her tail. "Besides, you need your sleep." Milkwhisker huffed and turned to groom his own fur.
Krestletail had just finished eating a mediocre vole, her stomach somewhat pleased. However, she wouldn't dare take another piece of prey until she had gone on a patrol. Had their deputy, Whitesky assigned patrols yet? Was she even awake? The gray cat shook her head and sighed, and began to pad over to her brother, the medicine cat, Sunskip.
As soon as Sunskip saw that his sister was coming his way, he turned and left the spot he was originally in. The only cats he really liked in his family were his mother, Hickoryleap, and his niece, Sootpaw. His father was like a constant burr in his pelt, and his sister was a liar. He had no wish to consort with them. The tom returned to his den to see that he little to no herbs. Most of them had dried up or crusted, and were no good for healing. He began to look around camp for a warrior- other than his sister- to have come collect herbs with him. He'd need more than one paw to get all the things he needed.
Sootpaw wiggled her tail in the air as she caught sight of a plump squirrel near the base of an oak. She lighted downwind of the creature, careful to make sure her wings made no noise as the curled back up into the folded position. She crept forward, in her best hunting crouch, careful to make sure none of her weight lied on her paws. When she was close enough, she leapt, her eyes excited as she landed square on the fat rodent. The young gray she-cat quickly nipped its neck, happy to deliver such a clean kill. She was quick to scrape some ground and leaves over the dead animal, thanking StarClan for the great meal one of her Clanmates were to have.

Owlstar let out a small huff. Her squirrel had gotten away this time! Putting her muzzle in the air, she sniffed for any trace of prey scent, but found something else. Rogue!
Athena was padding through the pine forest, quietly humming to herself. In a good mood, she waved her tail around. Finding a quiet place to sit in the sun, she stretched out on her back, enjoying its warmth.

Dappledsky paced around camp, restless for action, but hesitant to go out by herself. I'm sure if I asked someone, they'd love to go with me, she thought scanning the clearing for friendly clanmates. But I wouldn't know who to ask. A small beetle crawled along by the she-cat's paws, catching her eyes. Pressing her paw down on it to pin it to the ground, she lowered her head so she could sniff it. Nothing interesting, she concluded diaspointed. Her gaze once again returned to the cats strewn around. Maybe one will just approach me.

Seedflame was ready for a flight. He could feel his wings tremble, just begging to lift his up to the gentle clouds above. If course, he knew better than to fly out of camp without a real purpose. If the deputy needed cats for a border patrol or another cat needed a hunting partner, it was just easier to stay put. "It doesn't mean I have to like it though," he grumbled to no one in particular.

Owlstar narrowed her eyes, squinting against the sun. She quietly took flight, perching on a tree to keep watch on the visitor. She tried not to move.
Athena basked in the warm sun, feeling it warm her chilled bones. Looking up at the clear blue sky, she tensed. There was a sillouette of a cat in the tree.

(Owlmoon, a while back Thistle claimed the deputy as Whitesky, but you haven't added her yet. Also, it seems you haven't added my own newest characters for OwlClan. I believe they're back on page four)
Sunskip spotted two warriors- Seedflame and Dappledsky- sitting in camp looking around with no particular purpose. He could put their wings to use. He decided to talk to Dappledsky first. She was most likely to accept his offer, though neither of them could really decline it being he was the medicine cat the deputy hadn't called them for another purpose just yet.
Krestletail flattened her ears when she saw her brother was quick to avoid her. They had used to be so close. And now..? It seemed like they were strangers.
Sootpaw had hunted managed to hunt a mouse and a blackbird after the catch of the squirrel. She had missed a vole and a robin, but the forest was teeming with life in new-leaf, and there was plenty more prey to catch. Since she had caught two more rather filling pieces of prey, she had decided it was time to find the rest of the patrol again.

(Oh, he did? I have to go and look. I'll add yours as well.)
Athena narrowed her eyes at the figure. Spreading her wings, she gave a powerful beat, propelling herself into the air. Flying up towards where the figure was, she flexed her claws.
Owlstar gave a start. The stranger was right in front of her. With wings! Warily, she asked a question. "Who are you and what are you doing on OwlClan territory?"

Sootpaw trotted through the thick pine and oak forest, searching for any signs of her leader and mentor. Suddenly she caught a smell- and look! Some molted feathers! But the smell wasn't from OwlClan. Or any of the Clans for that matter. A rouge. She followed the scent until she caught another- Owlstar! As she looked up she saw a rouge in front of her, and even further ahead was the OwlClan leader. "What are you doing here!" She yipped angrily at the stranger.

Athena sighed. "Is it a crime to be sun basking?" She flicked her tail at the sunny spot, preening her feathers.
Owlstar glared at her. "You should not be on OwlClan territory. Get out now or we will be chasing your sorry tail back over the border, claws unsheathed.

"Yeah!" Sootpaw hissed, lashing her gray tail. The fur along her spine was spiked, though not in the way that ThornClan cats could. Unlike the normal cats, when they got mad, the fur on their backs became as sharp thorns, hence the name

Icewind; Somehow managing to catch another piece of prey, she looked down at the two birds that she had caught proudly. They were both average-sized, but considering she wasn't great at hunting, pride ran through her veins. Picking the two birds up in her jaws, she took to the skies. Scanning the terrain with her eyes, she thought she spotted movement. Stopping mid-air, she stared around the area. Turns out it was just a rustle in the bushes, something she probably wouldn't be able to catch. Shaking her head, she began to search for her apprentice to see how she was doing. Not being able to follow scents, she thought the wind blew and she scented her. Perking up, she started going in the direction, but ended up losing it very quickly. Sighing, she began to soar over the trees, giving subtle little turns of her wings as her eyes looked down as if scanning the terrain carefully. She hardly noticed anything else, and wasn't being observant of the area around her beside the ground.

Sootpaw was stunned as she saw the stranger just leave. That wasn't usually how things like this go. She was about to take off after her, but decided against it. She still had three pieces of prey to bring back, and she was ready for a nap after that.

Seeing Sunskip approach, Dappledsky lifted her head from the ground. "Hey," she called with a friendly demeanor, hoping that she wouldn't scare away the possibility of freedom from the boredom that lingered around camp. "You need help with something?" The she-cat didn't seem to mind the fact that she was shouting across camp, or the fact that everyone could hear her. In fact, all her attention was focused on a good excuses to escape the prison of camp.

Icewind; Soaring overhead, she had failed to find the two. Sighing, she gently landed on the branch of a tree. Setting the birds down in a stable place, she sat up with intention. Her wings spread out, as she wanted to attract as much attention as she could. She didn't make noise, but watched out for figures.

Owlstar swooped overhead, gesturing for Sootpaw to follow. Scanning while she flew, Owlstar narrowed her eyes against the sun. She spotted Icewind. Seeing that Icewind was about to pounce, she landed a little ways away.

Snakepaw lounges inside of camp, playing with a piece of fresh kill. He bends the wings of the thrush back and forth absentmindedly, watching the feathers sparkle in the sunlight.
