For some time now Honeyteller had been growing closer and closer to Amberstep. It had started as a close friendship, a bond that felt similar to the one the omen-teller shared with Gingerear. In the last few moons, perhaps even the last season, the white and ginger female had been feeling something more toward the elite. What it was, Honeyteller wasn’t exactly sure, but it made her feel warm and at peace. It was nice and it gave her something like butterflies in her chest. Thinking about it perhaps she did know what it was, did have a name for it. Was she scared to admit it? A little. Honeyteller wasn’t sure how Amberstep felt toward her. They were friends, that was for sure, but if Amberstep felt anything more that was still unknown to the omen-teller. A small purr came from the leader as Amberstep lay her head against Honeyteller’s paws. Without thinking about it the she-cat leaned forward and licked the elite between the ears. ”Thank you,” she murmured softly, gently. ”Thank you for being here with me.” Her words were sincere, as honest as they could get. If Honeyteller didn’t have Amberstep at her side then she wasn’t sure what she would do.

Considering that this was a herb gathering patrol, Cherrystorm had not even thought about hunting. All of his senses had been on finding herbs and watching out for foxes or other predators. He hadn’t even thought about hunting for prey, but when that mouse had scuttered right in front of him his instincts wouldn’t let him just leave it alone. It had been an easy catch to say the least; the mouse didn’t even know what had been coming when he pounced on its tiny body. While he hadn’t been keen on hunting, Cherrystorm hadn’t been keen on eating, either. He looked down at the mouse, contemplating how hungry he actually was. He ate a small sparrow after waking up, but he had never been a big fan of birds. While he much rather preferred rabbits, mice were much tastier than birds in his opinion. ”If you wouldn’t mind,” he replied once he decided that a bite or two wouldn’t bother him. He crouched down and nudged the mouse. ”You can take the first bite.” Even though he had caught the rodent he was fine with not taking the first bite.

Mothlight nodded. "Of course!" She mewed, then pawed the mouse closer to her. Of course she didn't mind sharing the mouse with the tom, it was the least she could do. A purr rumbled from the she-cat when she bit into the warm creature. It was the first time she had eaten since she had first woken up that morning and she hadn't realized just how hungry she had been. Twitching her whiskers in delight, Mothlight pushed the mouse back over to Cherrystorm, swiping her tongue over her maw. The mouse was small, but just enough for the two cats. It was rather plump, and Mothlight was sure that she'd be able to fill up off of it, even if she only had a few bites in. She had never been a cat with a large appetite, not that that had ever stopped her.

Cherrystorm took a bite of the mouse once it returned to him. He quickly swallowed the still-warm meat, swiping his tongue over his jaws to clean any possible mess that the mouse might have left. He nudged it back to Mothlight, purring contently for once. The tortoiseshell was the first cat that Cherrystorm had been able to spend a long time with without growing annoyed. The healer was calm and understanding, a cat that had her own opinions but didn’t shove them into the faces of others. In a way she reminded him of Hollyheart, but he knew that deep down no cat could ever replace the ginger tabby that he had loved and still loved. Besides, it seemed like Mothlight already had a tom padding after her. The protector wasn’t one to compete against another for something as trivial as a mate, especially when he wasn’t looking for another. Typically the tabby wasn’t the type to stick his nose into another cat’s business. But before he could stop himself he asked, ”So you and Icetail, eh? He’s been mooning over you for a long, long time.” He wasn’t sure why the question and comment came out like it had, but he couldn’t take it back now. All he had to do was wait for the she-cat to answer and nonchalantly wait as if the question itself didn’t surprise him.

Ravenpaw had since turned his attention away from the females, bristling in his silent fury as he scented the air for either prey or clan-mate. Ravenpaw never really talked much, but when he did, nothing really ever came from his mouth that was good. Normally it was formal or slightly condescending, but with Darkpaw and Sagepaw, he was terribly rude. Ironically, he could tolerate them the most out of all his clan members. Or rather, not tolerate, he tolerated them the least, but enjoy being around them more than any others. Or, what he classified as enjoyment, as his classification was rather different than a normal cat would classify enjoyment as. And so, Ravenpaw was rather caught off guard when Sagepaw leaped at him. He quickly tumbled into the stream, submerging himself in the water. At first, he thought it was Darkpaw, and he grew still for a brief moment. But at the sight of Sagepaw's pelt, he quickly resurfaced, flinging her off of him (or at least trying to) rather roughly. With fur clinging to his pelt, and water drizzling into his eyes, he hissed at her. Unaware of her wounds, he bunched his muscles, and flung himself at her. How dare this pesky she-cat try and embarrass him? Especially in front of Ospreypaw!
Meanwhile, Darkpaw was having the time of her life. She stood off to the side, alongside Ospreypaw, laughing hysterically at the sight of the two going at it. They sure were making a scene! But as time passed, it grew rather old, and she tentatively crept towards them. Sighing in annoyance, she puffed out her chest and cried out. "Enough!" They would never make it far from the camp if they carried on like this. Didn't they understand that when someone noticed Sagepaw, they would go out and search for her? Ospreypaw, Darkpaw, and Ravenpaw would probably go several hours without someone growing suspicious, but it would only take minutes before the absence of Sagepaw would be noticed.

Sagepaw, obviously, wasn’t thinking about being found. Not right now. Right now she was thinking about how great it would be to wipe any smug look off of Ravenpaw for what he had done. He had splashed her with water just to be rude! Sagepaw wasn’t going to let him get away with such an act, oh no. He was going to pay for it, and he was going to pay for it in her own way. That’s why she leaped at him as she did, pushing him down into the water; if he had splashed her then he was going to get soaked. The she-cat growled, smirking in triumph as he went under. She was about to let him get back up and then nip him on the nape of his neck when he reemerged by himself, pushing the ginger tabby off of him and into the water. Rolling into the stream, Sagepaw lost her breath for a moment when Ravenpaw flung himself at her. She hissed in anger and pain when she felt one of her wounds reopen, blood trickling down her flank and into the water. Now soaked and dripping with water, Sagepaw pushed herself to her paws. She bared her fangs at Ravenpaw as if silently willing him to attack her again. ”Next time you do that I will murder you.” After she spoke she limped out of the stream and stood close to Darkpaw and Ospreypaw. She shook her fur out, wincing as pain shot through her. Trying to ignore it she muttered, ”You’re both right. We should get going. If we stay here the Clan will find us.” Lashing her tail Sagepaw turned and began limping onward. Rage toward Ravenpaw and pain in her shoulder made her fur begin to bristle even with it still wet from her little skirmish. Luckily the day wasn’t cold and was warm enough so where she didn’t have to worry about freezing to death as her fur dried itself off. She just had to worry about calming herself down, getting dry, forgetting her newfound pain, and getting to the peak of the mountain.

[ how canadian of cherry to say 'eh ]

Mothlight felt her skin heat up and her fur rise slightly when Cherrystorm mentioned her and Icetail. Had their budding relationship been that obvious? A small smile made its way to the she-cat's muzzle. With a light snort, she looked up at the ginger tom in front of her. "Yeah.." She mewed, flicking her ears. "I guess it's that obvious?" She gave an amused purr and sat up, swiping her tongue over her orange paw after pushing the mouse back to Cherrystorm, signaling she was finished. She couldn't help but feel the slightest bit of guilt creep over her. Here she was, sitting in front of a tom who had lost his mate, just like she had, and she was talking about starting a new relationship. She knew that she shouldn't feel guilty, that was how life was. It went in cycles for many cats. Her first mate, Adderflame, had died seasons ago, back when their kit was only a tenderpaw. He would want her to be happy, and Mothlight knew that. In fact, she was happy with Icetail. He had filled up a part of he heart that she had never thought could be whole again. Shaking her pelt, the healer looked over at Cherrystorm once more. Her constant feelings of guilt were beginning to subside. Her brain was finally becoming okay with all that was happening, and that was all she had been waiting for. Of course she would still love Adderflame, nothing could replace the tabby tom who had once stolen her heart, but now it was time for a new chapter.

ᴊᴀʏғʀᴏsᴛ Falconmist couldn't help but agree with Mapleflight on the topic of Cherrystorm. As far as she could tell, the tom was incredibly protective over the she-cat, almost too protective. But for all she knew, he needed to be. After all, tenderpaws could be quite rambunctious. "Well, there's nothing you can do about it." The spotted she-cat mewed, moving herself down onto the earth. "Talk to him all you want but nothing's going to change. It's just a waste of your breath if you ask me." (Sagepaw, Sagepaw, where art thou?) "That's true," Mapleflight nodded after pondering about Falconmist's advice. Worrying about her brother would only distress her more. He was old enough to face his consequences, and likewise Mapleflight should be old enough to let Cherrystorm do so. She then decided to pay Sagepaw a visit with a piece of prey- surely that'd cheer her up from the long hours resting in the healers' den and dealing with Cherrystorm. Getting up, she turned to face Falconmist.
"I'm going to get a piece of fresh-kill for Sagepaw," she smiled. "Come along with me!"
Before waiting for a reply, the feisty ginger she-cat began padding towards the fresh-kill pile. Her yellow-green eyes caught sight of the small yet plump dove she had brought back earlier. Picking it up, she began to look around for the tenderpaw.

[ he is canadian after all |D sagepaw gone pssh ] A soft trill of amusement came from the tabby tom, something that didn’t come from the tomcat all that much. Even if he had lost his own mate some moons ago, he was glad to see that some cats, especially a cat he was finding himself enjoying the company of, were moving on and building a new life for themselves. ”His mooning after you has been obvious for moons,” the tomcat answered with a hint of amusement to his words. He took a moment of silence to take a few bites of the mouse, finishing it off with a clean swipe of his tongue. He must have been hungrier than he had anticipated. Feeling refreshed the tabby stretched out and gave a huge yawn. If he weren’t on such an important patrol then he would stretch himself out and take a quick nap. Shaking the tired feeling away from himself, Cherrystorm continued on with the conversation of Icetail and Mothlight; the tortoiseshell didn’t seem to mind the topic. If she did mind then the ginger tabby would let it go. ”How do you think Briarflame will react? She shares the name of her father; were they close?” For a solid moment Cherrystorm wondered how Sagepaw would react if her father ever found himself a new mate, not like it would happen, though. Would she be thrilled, neutral, or angry about it? She had been close to Hollyheart… The protector pushed aside the thought. It wouldn’t be something he would ever have to worry about. He still loved Hollyheart and knew he could never love another as much as he had the healer she-cat.

Before she knew it, Mapleflight had invited her to get fresh-kill and had bounded off without an answer. Rolling her eyes, Falconmist gave a small laugh and bounded after her clanmate. "Way to wait up!" She teased, slowing her pace to a trot, and the a stop once she reached the she-cat. "Isn't Sagepaw still in the healers' den?" She asked, looking around camp. "Unless maybe one of the healers took her out for a walk."

Mothlight couldn't help but give an amused purr at Cherrystorm's words. She had never noticed Icetail's behaviors until Cherrystorm mentioned it. Had she really been that oblivious? She had always thought the white tom was just being a good friend, but with the thought of it being more, that brought a warm feeling to the she-cat. Though, at the mention of Briarflame, the feeling quickly died away. With a sigh, Mothlight gave a small shrug. "I'm not sure how she'll feel.." She mewed, words quiet. "She and Adderflame were very close.. I can tell now that she isn't very happy with Icetail and I, so I can only imagine what she'll feel if things escalate." Mothlight was certainly close to Briarflame, and had always been. The she-cat was the only kit in her litter, making she and her parents even closer. Mothlight knew the she-cat wasn't happy with her and Icetail's relationship, and had often expressed her dislike through her eyes, but had been able to bite her tongue and let it happen. "I know she'll be okay, though." Mothlight quickly added, sitting up straight. "She's a protector, not a kit. She'll need to get used to change. And just because Icetail and I have gotten closer, doesn't mean that Adderflame will ever be replaced."

"Oh, right," Mapleflight agreed, trying to sound audible with the feathers in her jaw. Strolling over to the healers' den, she poked her head in. There was a faint scent of Cherrystorm and Mothlight wafting around the den, as well as Gingerear's. Mapleflight spotted the protector resting in the corner. A pang of sympathy hit her as she saw her injured leg, as well as the almost broken stick beside her. She must've been in a lot of pain.
By the time Mapleflight noticed that Breezepaw was also in the den, the sharp tenderpaw was already padding up to her. "Hello," the silver tom greeted. "Need something?"
"Yeah, we were just wondering where Sagepaw is," Mapleflight responded after placing the dove down, flicking her tail-tip at Falconmist, who was outside the den. "We wanted to share tongues with her."
Breezepaw tilted his head at the mention of Sagepaw. He was so tied up with looking after Gingerear that he realised that he hadn't seen the fellow tenderpaw all day. "Right," he began with uncertainty. "T-the thing is, she's not here, and I haven't seen her at all today."

Falconmist nodded to Mapleflight and followed her to the healers' den. "I'll wait out here." She mewed and sat by the entrance. The den was more than likely crowded with all of the injured cats and healers, and the brown tabby didn't want to get in the way.
When Mapleflight went in, Falconmist angled her ears toward the den, listening carefully to the conversation being held inside. Not there? That was certainly interesting. Falconmist didn't think much about it. She knew the she-cat wasn't seriously injured, so maybe a healer took her out?

In the end it wasn’t any of Cherrystorm’s business whether or not Briarflame would take Mothlight being mates with Icetail a good or bad thing. If the tortoiseshell healer didn’t want to say anything about it then she didn’t have to, and only Briarflame would know how she would react. That was going to be the protector’s own acts that would answer his question. ”Perhaps she’ll end up being happy for the both of you. As you said, Adderflame won’t be replaced. I’m sure he would want you to be happy even now.” Hollyheart would want the same for me, Cherrystorm thought to himself with a twitch of his tail. But I can’t move on. No cat would be like her… The closest cat like Hollyheart he could think of was Mothlight, but she was practically taken and he felt no romantic feelings toward her. The ginger tom nodded when Mothlight went on to continue her commentary. Briarflame was a full grown cat. She could make her own decisions and then act maturely about what she had decided for herself. ”She’s a strong-willed cat as well, not much puts her down. I’ve been on plenty of patrols with her.” And that statement was coming from the tomcat’s heart. He wouldn’t lie about a cat that was strong and of true-heart. After saying what he wanted to the tabby stood back up. He shook his pelt out, yawning once before stretching out his slender body. ”Ready?” They still had some cobwebs to gather, and while it wouldn’t take long to do that, Cherrystorm did want to get going before their mouse attracted a fox.

Mothlight nodded at Cherrystorm's words. "I hope so.." She mewed, flicking her ears. "If anything she'll get over it eventually. I don't think she's capable of holding a grudge, at least not one like that." The she-cat hoped she was right about Briarflame. It would certainly get some taking used to, on both of their parts, but Briarflame would realize soon enough that holding a grudge was a waste on energy.
When Chrrystorm commented on Briarflame's strong personality, the she-cat couldn't help but puff her chest out in pride. Even though she was a protector, Briarflame would always be her daughter above anything, and the pride Mothlight felt for her would never go away. "Thank you." She purred, twitching the tip of her tail excitedly before getting up in unison with the tom. Nodding, the tortoiseshell healer grabbed her herbs, before glancing down at the mouse. "Should we bury it?" She asked, looking back over to Cherrystorm, as if she had read the tom's mind about foxes. "This could attract a fox.."

Cherrystorm nodded. Briarflame was a strong cat as he had noted before. She would eventually realize that, if she were to grow angry, it was a waste of her energy and time. ”I’m sure she’ll be fine with it,” he mewed after a moment of stewing on the she-cat’s words. The ginger tabby dipped his head in response to the healer’s appreciation. A very faint smile even found itself on his muzzle. His attention then turned to the bones of their shared meal. Mothlight had a good suggestion to bury the bones; he had thought about it briefly but didn’t really think about it all that much until the she-cat mentioned it. ”Good idea,” he mewed, padding over to a soft patch of dirt and began digging a hole to place the mouse bones inside.

Nodding to Cherrystorm, the she-cat padded with him to bury the mouse. Pawing at the earth, she was quickly able to help the tom dig a hole big enough to replace the remain in. "It's sad we even have to do this.." She thought to herself as she dug, sighing lightly at the action. Stepping away, she let the ginger tabby discard the remain and pushed the earth back over them, lightly packing it down.
Gesturing for the tom to follow with the wave of her tail, Mothlight set off to find cobwebs. This was the easy part. All they really had to do was look for a log and there would more than likely be cobwebs. Finding one, the she-cat sniffed around, eventually coming across a few. Pawing at them gently, she stuck them to the stems of the goldenrod in her mouth, careful not to tear them.

With Mothlight’s help the hole was dug in no time. He placed what bones he had into the dirt and quickly buried what had been put in there. Once finished he turned away and looked around, checking the area for any signs of predators. No fox scent, nothing. Good. Deeming the area danger free, Cherrystorm motioned for Mothlight to go on and scout ahead. While Cherrystorm could easily find cobwebs himself, he wasn’t the healer on this patrol. The tabby had no trouble following after Mothlight as she waved for him. When she found a log the tomcat padded after, sniffing around the log in search of any cobwebs that the tortoiseshell had missed or hadn’t gotten to yet. He found a strand of cobweb and gently wrapped it around his paw, making sure not to tear the silk like substance. If he tore it then it would practically be useless and a waste of good cobweb, and he certainly didn’t want that.

As the time went by and more cobwebs were collected, Mothlight padded back over to Cherrystorm. "I think this should do it." She mewed, her voice a bit muffled by the herbs she had gathered. "I should get back to camp and see if Gingerear and Icetail have woken up." The effects of the poppy seeds should hopefully be beginning to wear off for the cats, or at least Icetail. Mothlight hadn't given him very many, and since she had been out for a while it was getting close to time to catch up on the two cats.
Mothlight walked forward, heading back in the general direction of camp, her pace slowed at she waiting for Cherrystorm. She didn't want to leave the tom behind, and she knew that he would more then likely be right behind her, but she still wanted to make sure. Flicking her tail, she glanced back, stopping to wait for the tom to catch up.

Ravenpaw hesitated before he slipped off of the female. His ears quickly pinned to the back of his neck, and he growled. "You started it! I didn't even splash you!" His eyes narrowed and his tail lashed, watching as the she-cat moved to stand next to Darkpaw and Ospreypaw. He remained standing as the others started to move again. With a soft sigh, he glanced over his shoulder before he followed slowly after the others. Although he was in an incredibly angry mood, he couldn't help but watch Sagepaw as she carried on. Being as observant as he normally was, he could tell that her injuries were bothering her. And tussling in the water had seemed to aggravate them. Hesitantly, he quickened his pace so that he reached her side. "Are you okay?" Although his voice didn't sound particularly concerned, it was not his mocking or condescending voice. He opened his mouth to continue, but decided against it. aw he's concerned
Leafbriar glanced up as several clan members filed into the Healer's den. "She was gone when I woke up. I thought perhaps Cherrystorm and Mothlight had taken her with them." She paused, before continuing. "However, I haven't seen Ospreypaw, Darkpaw, or Ravenpaw either today." She couldn't believe that it was only a coincidence that four dissapearance were not related to one another. Especially with Ospreypaw and Darkpaw being so close to the injured she-cat. And it would make sense if Ravenpaw had left too, as Darkpaw was his litter-mate.

Together the two had collected a lot of herbs. From what Cherrystorm assumed the healers would have enough of these three things for a good while. He was glad that they had accomplished what they had went outside for, but he did feel a bit bummed that it was time to go back to camp. He had been enjoying himself on this fine day outside with Mothlight. He had actually found a cat he could spend time with while not wanting to claw her ears off. She was a good-natured cat, a feline he could certainly see himself becoming easy friends with. Without any hesitation the tabby followed after Mothlight. Between the herbs in his jaws, Cherrystorm questioned, ”How long do you think Gingerear will be on the mend?” He knew she would be down and out for quite some time, but he wanted a better estimate than just some time.Even if he wasn’t the cat to make hunting patrols, he wanted to know who he could and could not expect on any patrols with him.
- - -
Through her pain the tenderpaw was able to show her pure rage toward Ravenpaw. She turned to glare at him, fangs bared fully. ”You did splash me! You at least meant to,” she hissed with a lash of her tail. Gah, why was Ravenpaw so unbearable? How could he and Darkpaw even be related? Darkpaw was so cool and fun to hang out with while Ravenpaw was just a buzz kill all by himself. Even still there was a part of Sagepaw that adequately enjoyed his company. It was a very small part of her, but it was there. He was a handsome tomcat, but she wouldn’t admit that to any other cat. While his looks were good, his personality wasn’t. In long amounts Ravenpaw was just too much for Sagepaw. Sagepaw bristled somewhat when the smoke tomcat padded over to her. She glared at him sideways, grumbling something under her breath before muttering, ”I’m fine. Annoyed, but fine.” Why did he even bother to care? His voice didn’t sound very caring or considerate. He just sounded like normal Ravenpaw which made Sagepaw wonder even more as to why he was asking if she were okay. [ cutie patoot raven ]

As she walked with Cherrystorm, Mothlight's mind wandered back to camp. She enjoyed her time spent with the protector, he was certainly a friendly cat and easy to get along with, but she couldn't help but long to get back to her den. Unlike most cats, Mothlight enjoyed being in camp and tending to sick and injured cats. Of course she hated that sickness and injuries happened, but she couldn't think of a thing she'd rather do than help others, except for maybe visit with Icetail or Briarflame. She enjoyed collecting herbs and being in the territory, but it didn't take long before she was ready to get back to camp.
Mothlight hesitated at Cherrystorm's question, thinking over the answer. "At least a moon and a half, maybe even two." She mewed, looking over at him. "I know she'll be upset to hear, but she's a patient cat. I have no doubt that she'll listen to what the healers say and make a full recovery." At least that was what Mothlight liked to think. The outcome of a broken leg, or any serious injury, was ultimately unknown, but with the proper res and rehabilitation the tortoiseshell expected a full recovery from the protector.

Cherrystorm took Mothlight’s comments into deep consideration. A moon and a half, perhaps even longer. Poor Gingerear. Something needs to be done with these foxes. The tomcat let out a slow huff at the thought of those mangy foxes. Mothlight and he had been lucky to not run into one on their gathering trip, but that didn’t mean other cats would have the same luck they did. The ginger tabby remained silent for a moment longer. Finally, he spoke up through his bundle of herbs. ”I believe in your skills as a healer. But I hope the Givers are on her side.” That was all he had to say about that; it wasn’t up to him if Gingerear healed well or not. Her prognosis was built entirely around herbs, rest, and the will of the ancestors. After a few minutes of walking the camp’s hidden entrance came into view; to any creature that wasn’t part of GroundClan the entrance would practically be invisible, but to a Clan cat the entrance was visible underneath the protective barrier of thick bracken, ferns, and various brambles here and there. With his paws familiar with the path, Cherrystorm was down into the underground camp in a matter of seconds. He stopped at the bottom, waiting for Mothlight to make her descent as well.

Mothlight stayed silent on their journey back to camp, only speaking up once more when Cherrystorm did. "I agree." She mewed, flicking her ears. Ultimately, the Givers had the power over everything. Not Honeyteller, and not the healers. While Honeyteller did have a power that made her one step closer to having such complete knowledge about many things, Mothlight still believed that everything happened according to a plan that the Givers had laid out.
When they approached the camp, Mothlight stepped aside letting Cherrystorm through first. The she-cat let out a small smile when he made the descent down, thankful to have arrived safely back home. No fox encounters, or any other dangerous thing had stopped them, and the she-cat was grateful. It seemed that almost every patrol that had been out within the past few days had come across the dog-like creatures.
Trotting into camp, the tortoiseshell she-cat padded up to Cherrystorm. "These herbs can go right inside the healers' den." She mewed, beginning to walk in the direction of the injured cats. "I don't want to keep you any longer than you'd like." Her words were kind and playful, though full of meaning. She knew that the tom had agreed to help her collect the herbs, but she knew that his job as a protector required other things of him.

Now that they were back in camp Cherrystorm allowed his guard to go down. No fox would get them down here in their cavern camp. If there was one place that was all the way safe in GroundClan territory it was their camp. Surely there would be nothing dangerous lurking in the shadows of camp. For now, though, most of everything seemed peaceful in the camp. Cherrystorm nodded in acknowledgement when Mothlight told him to take the herbs to the healers’ den. A faint purr could be heard coming from the tom, rusty and barely used. ”I enjoyed the time I spent with you today.” His words were as sincere as they could possibly be. He truly enjoyed being with the tortoiseshell female. There were not a lot of cats that the tabby could get along with, and Mothlight was one of those few cats. Icetail was another cat Cherrystorm could tolerate, and sometimes his sister Mapleflight. But that was besides the point. Slipping into the healers’ den, Cherrystorm did his best to ignore the strong scents flooding over him as he leaned down and placed what he had gathered down. Before he turned to leave, he was stopped by the familiar voice of Icetail, his words somewhat slurred from poppy-induced sleep. ”Mothlight, is that you?”

As she headed toward her den, Mothlight looked over to Cherrystorm when he purred. An herb-covered grin came across her maw at his words. "Me too. Thank you for all of your help." She mewed happily, gently pressing her nose to his ear. The gesture was purely friendly, and she knew that that was how the tom would interpret it. He seemed happy as he mentioned Icetail and her earlier, so why would he try to sabotage that? Mothlight knew how good of a cat Cherrystorm was, and she had thoroughly enjoyed his company. It was something she could definitely get used to.
Mothlught slipped into the healers' den after Cherrystorm, placing her herbs on top of his. She would get to sorting those after she checked on Icetail and Gingerear. Turning back to look at Cherrystorm, Mothlight opened her maw in attempt to thank him once more, when she quickly clamped it shut at the sound of Icetail's voice. Glancing between the two toms, she nodded to Cherrystorm before scurrying over to the white tom. "Yes it's me." She mewed gently, crouching next to the sleepy tom. "How are you feeling?"
