Zephyr blinked in surprise at the she-cat, "That's a good idea.... keep yourself downwind so the rabbit can't smell you on the way over there." He settled down to wait until the she-cat was on the other side. "Try to signal me with your tail when you are in position."
Swanstar flicked her ears at the sound of Alderpaw's departure, "Alderpaw! Do not stray to far from us!" She then purred at the tom, scenting his anger, "Though, I think you would make a great leader one day."

She nodded and started to make her way around the rabbit freezing when she would see it move, and though it took a little and the rabbit was a few steps closer to Zephyr, Dusty stood opposite of him and released a quiet breath before crouching as he did and lifter her tail up so there was a pale gold dot above the grass then it swayed before falling back down. Feeling a surge of energy in her muscles she dug her long curved claws into the dirt and leaned back on her haunches, then she darted out with a small rrowr as she sprinted towards the rabbit who seemed utterly surprised to see a leopard print cat charging at him.

Zephyr saw the gold tail flash and listened for the quick scrabble of claws and the mrrow before he raced out, the rabbit's attention completely on Dusty. He wrapped his paws around the creatures neck and pulled, rolling over it and grabbing it in his jaws as he landed panting on his hindquarters, rabbit body limp and swinging from his mouth. "Mmmph, mmphrot mphrit!" He mumbled around the fur. (I got it)

She smiled her fangs flashing as her tail swished behind her, "We did it! I didn't even make a sound! Not bad for a house cat huh?" She grinned coming closer to sniff the large rabbit, "Its as big as me..." She gaped, "We definitely won't go hungry!" She giggled and jumped up excitedly.

He dropped the rabbit and flicked his tail against her cheek, "You did very well! And no, we definitely will not go hungry." He motioned for her to follow, picking up the rabbit, and raced back to where they buried the mouse. He dug it up and waited for Dusty to grab it so they could head back to their den.

She picked it up shaking the dirt from its fur, then nodded to him; she was still hyped from the rush of hunting and she couldn't help but giggle as she watch Zephyr dragged the deer awkwardly. Dusty was glad that her first day had gone so well and that she will finally taste a wild prey, she could barely contain herself with the mouse resting in her jaws.

As they neared their den, Zephyr hefted the rabbit higher off the ground, and slid his way into the log. He dropped the rabbit and sighed, his neck hurt from the heavy animal. "We can store the prey in here so no other animals can smell it when we are away."

Alderpaw smiled slightly and glanced up at Swanstar. "Really?" He asked, unsure if he should believe her. She's probably just saying that to make me feel better. The shy apprentice thought dejectedly.

Alderpaw felt nothing but pure terror as Swanstar gave the announcement. I probably won't even be seen by StarClan... The shy apprentice sighed, lagging behind more than usual.

Swanstar headed for the jagged mountains that had risen up on their journey, and sat on a rock that was warmed by the sun, "GO ahead and hunt for some food. I can't have anything before my visit with StarClan, so I will wait here until sundown." SHe flicked her tail and dismissed the apprentices.

Alderpaw dipped his head and nervously glanced around the other apprentices. His gaze rested on Firepaw for a moment but he looked away quickly and let out a sigh. Nobody will want to hunt with me... Quickly he began trotting away in silent defeat.

вєвє, I'll be okay, I lost my aunt, uncle, and their 3 young kids to Hurricane Harvey, my horse was eaten by a cougar, and I found her disembowled.... My great-grandmother lost her battle to cancer, my dad and mom got divorce {and my dad is remarried already...} so yeah, I got hit by a lot)
