The Clan of Lingering Shadows

Story

EchoClan's Camp is located in a cave system that extends quite far. A large waterfall is what guards the entrance into the caves, as not many animals would want to enter through water. The first "cave" in the series is the main area, where the cats gather under the Rock Ledge for clan meetings, the fresh-kill pile, the Dirtplace, and the entrances to other dens. The main area is also open, with sheer walls, it allows a place for the cats to come out of the darkness. The Leader's Den is up naturally-placed rocks (like steps) and onto the Rock Ledge, there is an opening covered by lichen, and is a nice sized den. The Medicine Cats Den is a large cave with a small hole in the roof for light, with a stream running through it for fresh water. Connected to this is the Nursery, making it harder for it to be reached by enemies. The Warriors' and Apprentices' Dens are located on the right side of the Leaders Den, while the Elders Den is located on the left. Outside the camp, there is a sandy clearing close to the river where Apprentices are trained. The river extends after the waterfall and goes towards a two-leg place, where there are only a few houses with some dogs. Before the waterfall, the river comes from RogueClan's territory. Past the edges of EchoClan's territory is a range of mountains, where the Moonstone is located at, for contact with StarClan. There is a large, abandoned two-leg home where herbs can be found plentiful for the Medicine Cat. There are quite a few "sunning rocks" located in EchoClan's territory, where snakes are also prone to be. A forest of many different trees lies near the Southern border, and this is where the cats go to hunt, or just to hang out, many apprentices are taken here for their final Warrior test as EchoClan cats do not normally fight in the trees, but it is useful just in case.
Rules
All forum rules apply.
No spotlighting, godmodding, powerplaying, or Mary Sues.
I or a mod will reject your character if you are not following the rules listed.
This is a realistic roleplay, cats get hurt, die, mortally injured etc.
No more than 5 cats per person.
The mods and I will choose who will be a top position (i.e. 2nd Deputy, and Medicine Cat) You will have to do a few trial RP's to obtain these positions within the clan.
Please be somewhat literate with your writing so others can understand.
No graphic scenes, meaning if you have a mate, do NOT go into detail, there are younger people on here and it really isn't something all of us want to look at.
I expect 3-4 sentences per post.
You must be active once a week unless discussed with one of the mods or me.
There will be prophecies discussed, but do not ask for your cat to be in a prophecy, based on activeness, the mods and I will decide.
Kit-stealing is not allowed.
Please ask another if you are interested in making your cat their mate.
To show that you read the rules, put 'dreams' in the password place for the joining page.
You can rejoin the clan if you are inactive, it is not guaranteed you will get your role back (if a higher-ranking cat).
Ceremonies
Apprentice Ceremony Leader:
"[Kit's name], you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as [new Apprentice name, ending with 'paw']. I ask StarClan to watch over you and guide you until you find in your paws the strength and courage of a warrior."
The Leader then signals for the chosen mentor to step forward.
Leader:
"[Chosen mentor name], you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from [former mentor's names], and you have shown yourself to be fierce and brave. You will be the mentor of [Apprentice's name], and I expect you to pass on all you know to [Apprentice's name]."
The mentor touches noses with the Apprentice, and the Clan greets the new Apprentice by calling out their name in a chant. The Apprentice will usually greet their family, or go see to their mentor, who congratulate them.

Medicine Cat Apprentice Ceremony
Medicine Cat:
"[Medicine Apprentice's name], is it your wish to enter the mysteries of StarClan as a medicine cat?"
Apprentice:
"It is."
Medicine Cat:
"Then come forward. Warriors of StarClan, I present you with this Apprentice. [He/She] has chosen the path of a Medicine Cat. Grant [him/her] your wisdom and insight so that [he/she] may understand your ways and heal [his/her] Clan in accordance with your will."
The Medicine Cat and the Apprentice then lay down and have a dream from StarClan.

New Mentor Ceremony
Leader:
"I call upon my Warrior ancestors to give this Apprentice a new mentor. [Apprentice's name], you have lost your mentor, so your new mentor will be [Chosen new mentor's name]."
The mentor touches noses with the Apprentice, and the Clan greets the new mentor by calling out their name in a chant.

Warrior Ceremony
Leader:
"I, [Leader's name], leader of [Clan name], call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this Apprentice. [He/She] has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend [him/her] to you as a Warrior in [his/her] turn. [Apprentice's name], do you promise to uphold the Warrior Code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"
Apprentice:
"I do."
Leader:
"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your Warrior name. [Apprentice's name], from this moment you will be known as [New Warrior name changing the 'paw' suffix to another of the Leader's choosing]. StarClan honors your [Virtues that describe the new Warrior], and we welcome you as a full warrior of [Clan name]."
The leader then rests their muzzle on the new Warrior's head, and they lick the leader's shoulder in return. The rest of the Clan then greets the new warrior by calling their new Warrior name in a chant.
They will usually greet their family, or go see to their former mentor, who congratulate them.
The Warrior will sit a silent vigil guarding the camp that night. However in some cases this isn't possible, in cases such as being out of the camp. They may still sit a silent vigil outside or camp or may be told to do something else instead.

Dying Apprentice Ceremony
Sometimes tragedy can come upon an Apprentice, where they are stripped of the chance to become a full Warrior in an accident.
If an Apprentice is dying or is injured and unable to become a full Warrior, the Clan Leader can perform a special ceremony where they give them their Warrior's name even though they will never truly live as one.
This gives the Apprentice spirit of the Warrior they could have been and if they are dying means they can join StarClan as a Warrior.
This ceremony isn't usually done in a Clan meeting, it is done by the Clan Leader who will usually visit the Apprentice in the Medicine Cat den.
Leader:
"I ask my Warrior ancestors to look down on this Apprentice. [He/She] has learned the Warrior code and given up [his/her] life in the service of [his/her] Clan. Let StarClan receive [him/her] as a Warrior. [He/She] will be known as [New Warrior name]."

The new Deputy will acknowledge his Leaders decision and the Clan will call out the Deputy's name in a chant. They will usually meet their Clan mates who congratulate them.

Leader:
"[New Elder's name], is it your wish to give up the name of a [Warrior or Medicine Cat] and go to join the elders?"

The Clan then call the Elder's name in a chant and give their thanks for their service.

He has darker ginger stripes in some of his ginger patches, and he has leafy-green eyes. Tree is optimistic, easily distracted, jumpy (In more than one way), and has a tendency to miss the bigger picture. He is great at jumping, and has very hard pads for walking on rocks. He was born in a gorge many mountain-lengths away from EchoClan territory, but was taken by Twolegs and driven in a monster away from the gorge. He was able to escape the monster while it was on a thunderpath near EchoClan territory. He is now wandering around in EchoClan territory.

Swanstar || 45 Moons || She-Cat || ~☣†๏ჯɨƈற๏ᴎ๏ƈђя๏றε☣~A beautiful, fluffy white she-cat with varying shades of silver speckled throughout her pelt, her toes and ear tips are black. She also has black 'eyeliner' around her eyes. Her eyes are a deep violet that have golden specks in them. Swanstar is a fair leader, and would do anything to protect her clan, she is quite a young leader, but she makes up for that with her cleverness and wiseness beyond her moons. Swanstar is gentle with kits and younger cats, though she has no tolerance for any misbehaving cats. Arrogance is a trait lost on her and she is known to bring a warrior or apprentice down a notch or two when they present that behavior. Swanstar is known to have some self-image issues, and will beat herself up over something happening as if it is her fault. As a kit, she was found crying in the snow right after Fallenstar's mate and kits died. Many assume that she was the only kit to survive, though Fallenstar never credited the fact. She was very sickly when she was a kit and an apprentice, and she latched onto Sandyclaw very quickly when they were apprentices together, as he helped her to get stronger.Lives:1 (☪)

First Deputy:
Sandyclaw || 50 Moons || Tom || ~Thunderlake~
A medium-furred, strong, muscular, cream-colored tom whose fur matches that of a sandy beach, he has overly large paws, that include large claws and a very fluffy tail. His eyes are blue like the waves of an ocean. Sandyclaw can seem strict and powerful, and most apprentices are afraid he will become their mentor because of this, but, in fact, he loves mentoring young cats. Though Sandyclaw is all about business, he can be gentle around apprentices. He is always the first to go out on patrol or on a hunt even when he is tired beyond belief. Sandyclaw is actually very distant from most, though he will protect his Clan to his last breath.
Second Deputy:
Hollowsky || 61 Moons || Tom || ~talizorahvasnerd~
A long-limbed, yet skinny cat, his short fur does little to hide this. He has short, rounded ears and a long scar down his flank. His pelt is black and white in what is considered a tuxedo pattern. His eyes have a walnut shape, and are dark green in color. Hollowsky is a stoic and hard working cat. He takes the code seriously and does whatever he can to help the clan. Because of this, most cats see him as stiff, and even a little boring. Emotions don't come particularly easy to him, and he sometimes has trouble recognizing them in other people.
Medicine Cat:
Ravenheart || 17 Moons || She-Cat || ~$ȼąяℓ€ţ ώhɨρ~
A beautiful tuxedo she-cat, with random black splotches of fur on her white areas. On her nose, there is a black patch of fur that appears to be in a heart shape. Her eyes are a beautiful green, and he fur is long and fluffy. Beneath her luxurious coat, lies a weak, lean body. As a medicine cat, she has studied herbs all her life, and due to this, wherever she goes, she carries a soft scent of chamomile and catmint. Ravenheart is a sweet, loving soul; she always speaks in a soft voice, and cares about her clan members, knowing them all by name and memorizing their pelts by heart. She seems nice and easy to take advantage of, but beneath her soft soul, is a burning spirit. She has a fire, and sometimes lashes out for no reason. The fire helps her defend herself, and carry on for what she thinks is right.

A light gray, spotted tabby she-cat with her right ear torn, and deep orange eyes, which appear as burning embers. Cinderheart is a caring, loving cat, but if she catches you messing with her kit, Winterpaw, she develops a mother's wrath. Her mate passed away when her kit was young. (This is a throw away cat who will eventually die to save Winterpaw)

Ebonysong || 49 Moons || She-Cat || ~Silverwind~
A long-furred, black-and-brown striped tabby she-cat with Norwegian Forest Cat blood. Her fur is so thick it is difficult for her to keep clean and tangle-free, so she does little to do so. Her tail is shorter than normal, but is still incredibly fluffy. She has black socks on her front right and hind left paws. Her eyes are a pale forest green with gold flecks. Ebonysong is usually a gentle cat, but can have a temper, and isn't afraid to fight, but doesn't much hold a grudge.

Fangshade || 49 Moons || Tom || ~Silverwind~
A short-furred tom with white fur with black patches. He has a black face that has white down his nose and on his chin. He also has a white underbelly. He as a single black to on his hind left paw. He also has half a black mustache. His whiskers also seem abnormally long for his size. He is normally a kind and gentle cat with his clan mates and the ones he cares about. Despite that he can be quite a fierce fighter when he needs to be because he will do anything to protect those he cares about. His sister is Ebonysong.

A tall, short-furred, slender tom with soft, creamy-white fur with dark chocolate tabby markings on his face, tail and legs. His tail is quite fluffy for his fur-length, and he has bright clear blue eyes. Swiftcloud is quiet, and is very reserved towards cats he does not know well. He would prefer to keep to himself and will bite a cat's head off if they annoy him. Underneath his gruff exterior is a gentle and kind soul, which shows when he plays with the kits.

Owlheart || 39 Moons || Tom || ~Silverwind~
A light brown tom with a dark brown mask around his face resembling markings you would see on an owl. He has a nub tail and several scars on his back, and piercing green eyes. Owlheart is a very gentle cat, he is calm and relaxed, rarely ever getting upset or angry. He strongly believes that bad things will eventually work themselves out and there is no need to worry about them. This makes him appear as if he doesn't care about anything, but he does. He cares deeply for everyone in the Clan, and will do what he has to when his Clan is threatened. Despite his relaxed nature, he is a good warrior, and always puts the Clan first.

Maplefrost || 35 Moons || She-Cat || ~Thunderlake~
A long-furred, orange, black, and white calico she-cat with large paws, her tail and paws are all black. Her long fur gets tangled quite easily, which makes her attitude even worse. She has menacing amber eyes. Maplefrost is cold and quiet, wondering how to avenge the death of her father. Though she has always been like this, even as a young kit, many will claim she has gotten worse, but this she-cat will defend the Clan with her life, surprisingly. Maplefrost doesn't like to interact with her clan-mates and, when she has to, will be snappish and rude.

Lionclaw || 32 Moons || Tom || ~Koi~
A bulky, short-furred golden tom with fur along his neck that is slightly longer than the rest of his fur, his eyes are a dark green. He is a massive tom with broad shoulders and lengthy body, his father is said to be a Lynx though he was really just a big cat too. Lionclaw is the quiet, stoic type that only wants to the best for his clan. He can be jealous and a bit irrational but thinks of everyone before himself.

Wildblaze || 30 Moons || She-Cat || ~talizorahvasnerd~
While her frame is nothing remarkable, what catches attention most easily for Wildblaze is her pelt. It's a bright ginger color, yet her underbelly, face, and tail-tip fade into white, and the fur itself is very curly, sticking out in all different directions as if her fur was licked the wrong way. She's got big, round, golden yellow eyes. Frankly, Wildblaze never seemed to mature much from being a kit. She's a child at heart, and shows more interest in playing than in hunting or fighting. While a little unreliable, she's a genuinely sweet cat who's easy to get along with. However, she's also a little naive, as she'll trust just about any cat, regardless of who they are.

Doestep || 30 Moons || She-Cat || ~talizorahvasnerd~
A supple fawn-coloured she-cat; her fur is mid-length and wiry, often sticking out at strange angles. Splashed across her fur are speckles of white, and her paws are white too. Her head is smaller than average, and her features on her face are sharp and serious. There is a slight harshness to her eyes, which are a deep amber, and are rimmed darker than the rest of her fur. Her muscles are well defined, especially her hind legs, giving her an excellent speed ability, which tributes toward her name. Doestep could be described as a matter-of-fact cat, who is slightly blunt, and tends to blunder over her words. Her most obvious characteristic is her briskness, and readiness to jump in when needed. She is quite witty, and enjoys socializing with other cats. She freely speaks her opinion, perhaps too freely in some cases, and is guided by her head rather than her heart. She doesn't have strong ambitions for her life, and is quite content seeing where it takes her.

Silverfawn || 30 moons || She-Cat || ~firestorm35~
A rather small, fluffy she-cat whose fur is a mix of white and silver patterns all over, with a white muzzle and tail tip. Her ears and eyes are rather large, but it adds character. Her eyes are a dark blue color, like a body of water. Although she's small, Silverfawn is just as fierce as everyone else, if not more. Since she's small, she likes to prove she's just as good as everyone else, if not better. She's competitive and honest, almost too much so. But behind all that, she does want a family of her own, and longs to show a nurturing side to her.

A grey tom with black whiskers and a black tail his paws are also a lighter grey then the rest of his body. He has pale blue eyes. Wildwind is an enthusiastic young male with a big heart. He LOVES kits and has always wanted some of his own, but he spends so much time in the nursery playing with the kits and teaching them "fighting moves" that it distracts him from his warrior duties.

Sunfall || 26 Moons || Tom || ~$ȼąяℓ€ţ ώhɨρ~
A large, golden-yellow tom with large paws and claws. He has white ears, and small white circles surrounding his eyes. He has darker gold splotches of fur all over his body, he has a bobbed tail and a short face. His eyes are yellow, almost orange. Though Sunfall might not be the most pleasing to look at, he is loyal, and strong. He isn't a runner, since his muscles would tire out in seconds. A sleek, black she-cat with large dark red-and-ginger spots; she has white legs, and a white muzzle, chest and belly. Her eyes are a soft green that burn with an inner fire. Embersong is vert loyal and caring. She thinks with her heart and not her mind, sometimes, and has made some good calls due to this. She is hard-headed and stubborn, but she is strong and reliable. She uses her small stature to catch cats by surprise when she fights, espescially due to the fact that she can be quite vicious when in battle. She is exceptionally kind to young cats and loves to teach them. Embersong has a nasty temper when dealing with cats she deems rude, and can seem "icy" towards them for a long time until they apologize or own up for a mistake. She is fair in her reasoning for not liking a specific cat, and will always justify herself to them if she deems them worthy of her time. This attitude does not extend towards apprentices and kits as she understands that they are prone to mistakes, and are impressionable.

Ottersplash is a great fighter, as well as a wonderful swimmer, mostly best at fishing rather than hunting land prey. He is a smart, but sometimes rude cat, expecting the best from others, and being strict with kits and apprentices. He enjoys being by himself.

A silver tabby with sparkling blue eyes. Her right forepaw is white, as well as her left ear. Also, her nose is very light pink. Riverfur is a quiet she-cat that doesn't like to cause trouble. Instead of getting into arguments, Riverfur usually backs down and lets the other cat win. Although she is quiet, soft spoken, and seemingly a pushover, she's fiercely loyal to her clan and would protect her clanmates with her life. Not only is she all of that, but she's also a dreamer with a love for most all other life (unless they threaten the safety of her clan).

A tall, lean black-and-silver tabby tom with white markings on his face and tail. He has a white dash on his chest and his chin is white, his two back legs are white with pale silver stripes, and his two front legs are black with white stripes. He has bright watery blue eyes. Highflight is optimistic and very kit-like. He is curious and tends to get involved very easily in arguements between other cats. He is very helpful, and tries to help arguing cats the best he can without too much fur flying. He is loyal, and despite not liking battle much, he would fight for his clan to his last breath. He is good friends with a few of the older apprentices and some of the younger warriors. When he is around kits, he usually tries to join in on whatever game they're playing.

Fernfrost tends to blame herself for things that go wrong when she is near. She wants to be the next deputy.

She loves her Clan-mates but, she is always in deep connection with silence and the beauty of nature.The sound of pounding rain, and the waterfall streaming down always calms her down. Lunaflower loves to spend her time around the ones she loves, not to mention she can get quite clingy. Lunaflower is unstable with her emotions and gets fairly jealous sometimes. Other than her silent life, her life in the clan is mostly quiet, but polite.

A white, fluffy Maine Coon cat with light stormy blue eyes. She is appears larger then she really is because of all the fluff. Cats like to jokingly say she is 90% fluff and is slightly invincible because if another cat tried to attack her they have to get through all of her fluff. Of course this isn't actually true and is just cats being playful. Winterpaw is a sweet she-cat who loves to be playful and have fun, though she can be skittish and is very jumpy. She tries her best to avoid fights.

Palepaw is a small cat with short yet very thick white fur. Her paws and nose are also very light. Yet the oddest thing about her is her eyes. Being an albino, the iris is dark red in color, yet the rest of the eye is a pale pink. Palepaw is a quiet cat who rarely speaks her mind. She tries hard, and wants to be a good warrior, but never quite got the hang of socializing. She can be friendly, but it takes effort to break away at her shy and serious shell.

Pinepaw has a very stocky build, making him seem a little large for his age. He's a dark brown tabby with shaggy fur. His paws are fairly large, yet he has a tail that's somewhat shorter than average. His eyes are light green. The first word people may use to describe Pinepaw is overconfident. He's eager to take on any challenge with a smile on his face, taking no time to think about the consequences. While this makes him brave, it also makes him extremely reckless. He's fiercely competitive, often wanting to prove himself as the best.

A small, dark brown tabby tom with black ear tips, tail tip, and toes. His chest and underbelly have a splash of white laced with brown speckles. His paws are dainty and small, better for hunting rather than fighting; he has green eyes. Alderpaw is quiet and shy, and due to his small stature, he gets picked on quite a bit. As he gets older he begins to act more like a loner. Preferring to be alone, Alderpaw can be seen hunting by himself and ignoring those around him, the only ones he will talk to are the kits and will not speak a word to anyone else. Many have asked him why but he just stares at them silently.

A smoky gray-and-white tom, with large paws and a solidly built body. Everything about him is neat, his short fur is always sleek and well groomed and his claws are always clean. His tail is long, and solid grey. A large scar is apparent over his left eye from when he was a kit and slipped on a rock, though this doesn't affect his vision. His eyes are round, and a deep emerald green, with flecks lighter green around the pupil. Dewpaw is a relatively solitary cat, mainly because he is so anxious most of the time. When around other cats, he tends to stutter, and slip up on his words. His size embarrasses him, and constantly wishes he was smaller, so he would go easily unnoticed. Dewpaw is rather ambitious for his age, wanting to do the best for his clan, but is rather clumsy at both hunting and fighting. He rarely gets angry, and is low in confidence so tends to not make conversation unless another cat starts it. He is incredibly shy.

His paws are white, along with a quarter of his tail; he has long legs that aren't very strong, yet he is very fast. His meow is deep and he has piercing green eyes. Redpaw is an outgoing, lovable, little tom. He just became an apprentice, so he doesn't quite understand how to be one. He is immature, loves to joke around, and smart. He always has a plan, and feels empty without one. He stutters when he is embarrassed, talking to his "crush", and when he is mad. Other than giving cold shoulders when he is mad, he is very nice; he is a hopeless romantic, always fantasizing about what could happen, staring helplessly at his crush, which could come off a bit creepy.

He constantly asks questions, and is very eager to learn new things, he can't wait to become an apprentice so he can absorb as much knowledge as possible.

A medium-furred, tuxedo she-cat with a white tail, white ear tips, and three white paws. Her underbelly and chest are white along with her muzzle and a patch of fur above her bright, pink nose. Her paws are quite large, which show she will be a large cat later on in life; she has dark blue eyes. Spottedkit will talk to anyone and everyone, she is sweet and energetic, always getting into one thing or another. She can be mature beyond her years, but also quite immature as any kit can get. Though she seems happy all the time, Spottedkit cries herself to sleep at night, as she sometimes remembers her family. She picked out her own name when she was found by the Clan and it has the same prefix as her father's. She won't speak to anyone about her past and would rather keep it concealed in memory. Distinguishable gray markings cover her forehead and nose as well as around her ear tips; she has very long legs, and light blue eyes. Icekit is fiery, full of life, and eager to do almost anything. Impatient and somewhat sassy she hates having nothing to do, and is often stirring up trouble when bored. She dedicates her full strength to her tasks which seems to make up for her occasional abrasiveness and rudeness.

A large, stout bracken-colored tom with dark brown stripes running across his back. He has long legs, which aided him in his struggle with his extra toes, and a long tail. He has black flecks spread throughout his fur and has quite a few scars marring his fur from the many battles he once fought in. His paws are large and white, with little brown flecks dotted all over them. He has dark, leafy-green eyes. Brackenclaw is cranky when apprentices are sent to get rid of his ticks, and likes to give them trouble while they attempt to rid his pelt of the pests. He does this all in good humor, as he wants the apprentices to still respect their elders despite how the elders treat them. He still loves to hunt, due to him taking so much time and effort to teach himself how despite his disability, and often sneaks out of the camp to bring prey back for the other cats; mainly for an apprentice who was especially nice when removing his ticks. He is very kind to warriors and the other cats, especially the kits, as he loves to regale them with stories of himself when he was young. He was fond of (In a brotherly way) his brother, Stempaw, who died from yellowcough. One of the stories is about the time he and Stempaw found a clump of catmint. You can probably guess what happened. Another one is about when he caught his first prey, and another one is about his first battle, and another is how he got his biggest scar. He has five toes on each paw instead of four, which gives him five claws per paw. He was a good hunter when he was an older warrior, as he had time to figure out the easiest ways to move without tripping over his extra toes and learning how to turn without falling.
StarClan

A long-furred, large, white, gold, and ginger tom with brown ears, and flecks. He has bright leaf-green eyes. Fallenstar was an amazing leader, as well as the eigth leader of EchoClan, he was the leader for many moons, and was Swanstar's mentor. He taught her everything, and he made her the cat she is today, even though she has some self-image issues, and when he became the leader, he shocked everyone with his choice of Swanfeather being his first deputy. When he became leader, both the leader and second-deputy died in a major battle. He was a kind and compassionate cat, and he cared for all of his clanmates, especially after his mate and kits died during a bad winter, though some think that maybe one of his kits survived in Swanstar, as she was found that winter crying in the snow. He was always fond of her and many cats just assume it to be true.

Silver she-cat with white tiger stripes, chest, belly, and spots around her eyes. Her right front leg is also white. She has black speckles, dark gray and cream speckles scattered throughout her fur She has bright blue eyes. Softwind was Fallenstar's mate, and the disputed mother of Swanstar, she died while out in the snow, as she wanted to go for a walk and prematurely had Fallenstar's kits. She tried to make it back, but she lost too much blood and died in the snow, there were initially four kits beside her that had died, but the was always a small, shallow shape in the snow that could have held a fifth kit.

Kittypets
Mimi || 21 Moons || She-Cat || ~talizorahvasnerd~
A slender cat with large, pointed ears. She's a ticked tabby with short fur, the colors ranging from a reddish brown to a dark brown. She's got round hazel eyes. Her collar is bright yellow in color with black paw prints around it's perimeter. While there is no bell on it, there is a small name tag.
Mimi's twoleg family lives in a den close to EchoClan's territory. There's a bunch of adventurous twoleg kits and a large dalmatian dog named Mikey as well. While Mimi acts disgruntled by the existence of others, she's actually protective of her family. If the dog's being taken out to walk, or the kits want to run around, she can usually be found chaperoning them. In particular, she's very bossy towards Mikey, whom she mostly views as being too dumb to do anything on his own. She'll go out on her own to hunt in the edges of the territory sometimes, much to the annoyance of the clan.

A tall cat with sandy-colored fur. She has black spots like a leopard; around her pink nose the fur is darker while there is light golden fur surrounding her pale green eyes. As a kittypet she has a teal green collar, and her garden sits outside the clan's territory beyond its forest. Dusty is out-going and kind, willing to talk to anyone; she wants to learn everything and anything she can - being extremely curious. She is curious and quick to anger. Her two-legs were nice but her dreams are filled with hunting and running through the trees, she remembers the stories her mother would tell of wild cats that live free of two-legs sharing prey and fighting for their clan, and since then she wanted to become a warrior but it wasn't until her two-legs moved to this new area that she could escape their nest.
Loners

Tall, lean, pitch black tom with a long plumy tail. He has scars crisscrossing over his pelt, and one going vertical over his amber eye. He has very faint, dark gray spots, and has white paws. Zephyr has unnaturally long fangs, and has large ears with tears in them. He has one deep amber eye and one ice blue eye. Zephyr is very reserved, and does not generally like other cats, thus, he is considered very mean. He has been known to attack cats at random and young apprentices are warned about him. He has a past that causes his issues, one that includes a dead sister and he needs someone to understand him.

Medicinal Herb List
• Alder Bark - Reduces swelling and prevents infection when chewed and applied to a wound. May also be chewed by a cat with a toothache to reduce pain, swelling, and aid in preventing complications.
• Aloe Vera - The gel inside of the leaves helps cure skin problems and burns. Leaves can be chewed and spit on skin problems and burns.
• Ash Tree Shoots - New shoots are to be eaten, and chewed and applied to the bite on an Adder or Viper to fight off the effects of its poisoned bite. Seeds of the Ash tree may also be consumed to fight the pain caused by a stitch in the side.
• Aspen Tree Bark - Relieves stress and soothes restlessness and being distraught.
• Blackberry Leaves – Eases bee stings.
• Borage Leaves - This herb is used to treat fevers. It also helps nursing queens increase their milk supply. Any type of Borage should be fresh, never dried. To be chewed and eaten. The plant can be distinguished by its small blue or pink star-shaped flowers and hairy leaves.
• Borage Root - Leaves and roots may be consumed to stave off fevers. Any type of Borage should be fresh, never dried.
• Borage Seeds - Should be given to a Queen to help her provide more available milk. Any type of Borage should be fresh, never dried.
• Bramble twigs – Helps restless cats to sleep when chewed into a fine syrup.
• Broom - Good for broken legs and wounds. Chew into poultice and spit onto wound. Broom Malice Poultice heals open wounds.
• Burdock Root - Cures infection. Chewed into a pulp. The sap is used for rat bites; usually infected ones; may also draw out infection. A tall-stemmed, sharp-smelling thistle with dark leaves. A medicine cat must dig up the roots, wash off the dirt, and chew them into a pulp, which can be applied to rat bites. Cures infection.
• Burdock Leaves - If chewed, should be applied to a NON-INFECTED wound to speed up healing.
• Catmint – Used for whitecough, greencough, or blackcough; may also help to relax a cat. Soft leaves with irresistible smell and taste. Eat. Usually found around Two-leg nests, and in well protected spots in the wild. This herb is very hard to find in leaf-bare because the frosts usually kill it.
• Celandine - Useful for cats with weak eyesight. Rub it on the eye. It can also be used to ease pain.
• Chamomile - This herb is used to calm a cat in the case of a nervous breakdown or severe shock. The leaves and flowers may be consumed to sooth a cat and add to their physical strength. Soothes depression, fatigue, and the heart.
• Chervil Root - This herb, if manually chewed, is good for bellyaches.
• Chervil Leaves - Used for infected wounds and preventing infected wounds. Chew into paste and press the paste on the wound. It will sting. The juice of the leaves is used for infected wounds. A sweet-smelling plant with large, spreading, fernlike leaves and small white flowers. The juice of the leaves can be used for infected wounds, and chewing the roots helps with bellyache.
• Coltsfoot - Good for shortness of breath and kitten cough. A flowering plant, a bit like a dandelion, with yellow or white flowers. The leaves can be chewed into a pulp, which is to be eaten to help shortness of breath.
• Comfrey- Treats broken bones. Identifiable by its large leaves and small bell-shaped flowers, which can be pink, white or purple. The fat black roots of this plant can be chewed into a poultice to mend broken bones or soothe wounds.
• Comfrey Root - If chewed and rubbed on a wound, it cleans it.
• Crushed Iris Petals - Stimulates breathing during the birthing process; also, useful for a kit's sore throat. Only useful if digested.
• Daisy Leaves – Poultice eases stiff joints and acts as a strengthening herb.
• Dandelion Leaves - This is another herb used to calm a cat in the event of a nervous breakdown or severe shock.
• Deathberry Roots - Roots and leaves can be chewed together and applied to sore places, but never to an open wound.
• Dock - Soothes scratches. This herb is used to treat nettle stings. Its juices are also good for soothing sore paw pads. When chewed, form a slippery substance. If rubbed on a cat's fur, it can be useful for releasing the cat from entrapment. May also be used for bellyaches. A plant like sorrel. The leaf can be chewed up and applied to soothe scratches.
• Dried Oak Leaf - This herb is used to stop bleeding from a wound and to fight infection. The bark clears up the throat.
• Elder Leaves - Poultice eases sprains and strains
• Feverfew - Helps chills, fevers, coughs, and headaches. This herb is used to cool feverish cats and treat headaches. Has bitter smell and taste. Leaves are used to cool fevers and treat head pains. May also be consumed for stomach ailment and to cure colds. A small bush with flowers like daisies. The leaves can be eaten to cool down body temperature, particularly for cats with fever or chills.
• Foxglove – The cloves purge toxins from the body by making a cat vomit them. The leaf is used on deep wounds to stop bleeding quickly. The seeds are sometimes used to treat heart problems, but a lot of the time they can cause heart failure and death.
• Goldenrod - This herb is used in poultices to treat aching joints and stiffness, rub onto spot that aches. It can also be used to treat severe injuries. A tall plant with bright yellow flowers. A poultice of this is terrific for healing wounds. The juice is dripped into wounds to numb pain; basically, a painkiller. It does no actual healing.
• Gumweed - Helps to seal wounds from infection. It slightly stings but collects the skin together and makes it close faster, therefore preventing infection.
• Heather – Makes herbs easier to swallow. The nectar improves the taste of bitter herbs, such as dock and yarrow. Does no harm to the poultice, herb, or otherwise cure in the process. When thinned, heather down helps the indigestion of a kit by lining the kit's stomach and absorbing the uncomfortable juices. Only useful if digested.
• Horsetail - Used to treat infected wounds. If chewed, stops infection. A tall plant with bristly stems that grows in marshy areas. The leaves can be used to treat infected wounds. Usually chewed up and applied as a poultice.
• Juniper Berries - This is another herb used to treat bellyache. It can also be used to calm a cat in the event of a nervous breakdown or severe shock. Berries ease the stomach and can serve as a counter poison. Leaves are used to ease coughs and other respiratory problems. It also helps cats regain their strength. A bush with spiky dark green leaves and purple berries.
• Lavender - Inhaling the scent of fresh flowers can also calm a cat in the event of a nervous breakdown or severe shock. Treats chills. Leaves and flowers are particularly good for head and throat pains. A small purple flowering plant. Cures fever. The stem calms cats in shock.
• Mallow: This herb is used to fight infection. It can also be used to treat bee or wasp stings.
• Marigold - Chewed into a pulp and applied to infected wounds. Used to stop and soothe infections in wounds as well as healing wounds and sores. If swallowed, may relieve chills. A bright orange or yellow flower that grows low to the ground. The petals and leaves may be chewed and then applied to a wound to prevent infection and heal burns. Avoid using around eyes; can result in serious irritation. The leaves are used as a dressing for wounds.
• Milkweed Juice - Used for sores and burns. Poisonous if ingested; do not use around the ears or eyes.
• Parsley: This herb is used to stop the initial flow of milk in nursing queen. (After kits feed, a queen's milk still flows, and this herb is used to dry it up so it can be saved for later.)
• Poppy Seed - This seed is used to soothe distress and pain; useful for making a sick cat sleep. Giving a cat more than two seeds may negatively affect their health, so be careful. Flower heads should be consumed with the leaves to relive continuous coughs. Petals and Leaves should be chewed to aid in sleep and improve resting. Small black seeds shaken from a dried poppy flower, not recommended for nursing queens, but can be given if necessary.
• Ragwort - The leaves are used to treat aching joints. Even though ragwort is used for medicinal uses, it is highly poisonous, as it often gets cows and horses very sick. Use yarrow right away
• Raspberry Leaves - Chewed into pulp, then used to ease pain during a queen's kitting.
• Rosemary – The blooms heal wounds near the eyes or eyelids; also helps for eye infections.
• Rosinweed - Cleans out the system when poison(s) have been digested. Takes effect upon relieving yourself.
• Shock Root - Stimulates the nerve system. Use after a cat has been knocked out, poisoned, or head trauma.
• Snakeroot - Counters poison.
• Stinging Nettle - Seeds can be used for a poisoned cat, and leaves can bring down swelling of a wound or body part, as well as aid with rashes. This plant has sharp nettles that get snagged in your fur. If the nettles break the skin you will have a horrible itch for a few hours, maybe longer. Carefully remove nettles with teeth. Only part of the plant is poisonous.
• Tansy - This herb is used to treat coughs. It can also be used to heal wounds. Leaves, flowers, and Stems should be eaten together to remove worms. Leaves may be chewed to relive joint aches. Flowers should be consumed to remove coughs. Pregnant Queens should never be given Tansy, for it causes miscarriages.
• Tansy (Flower) - Consumed to stop coughing. Leaves, flowers, and stems are consumed to remove worms. Do not give to a pregnant queen; it will make her miscarry. Administer all tansy in small doses.
• Tansy (Leaves) - May be chewed to relieve joint pains. Do not give to a pregnant queen; it will make her miscarry. May also keep a cat's hunger at bay.
• Tormentil: This herb, and its roots is good for treating wounds and countering the effects of weak poisons.
• Thyme - Yet another herb used to calm a cat in the event of a nervous breakdown or severe shock. Should be consumed to calm the anxious cat, or to aid in bringing restful sleep.
• Watermint - Best cure for bellyache. A leafy green plant found in streams or damp earth. Usually chewed into a pulp and then fed to a cat suffering bellyache.
• Willow Tree Bark - Water from beneath the bark of the willow may be dripped into the eyes to help clear the blurriness of vision. It may also be applied to dry patches of skin to sooth itches. Lesser amounts of Willow Bark may be consumed to ease pain, act against inflammation, and to ease diarrhea or fevers. Willow leaves ease vomiting.
• Wintergreen - Helps cycle poison out of a cat’s system and prevents infections.
• Yarrow – The entire plant should be consumed to induce vomiting. The entire plant should be chewed and applied to wounds to relive pain and prevent infection. Makes cats vomit. Useful for expelling poison. However, if used on an extremely ill cat, it could make them sicker. A flowering plant whose leaves can be made into a poultice and applied to wounds or scratches to expel poison.
Poultices
• Ragwort Leaves & Juniper Berries - Used for aching joints. Don't eat!!!
• Sage Root & Poppy Seeds - Heals cracked pads.
• Traveling Herbs - Herbs given to cats going on long adventures, such as the Moonstone. Can Include: Poppy Seeds - Dulls hunger & pain in paws, Tansy Leaves - Keeps hunger at bay,
Burnet - Keeps a cat's strength up, Chamomile - Used to calm a cat in case of a nervous breakdown, Sorrel - Keeps a cats strength up, Daisy - An energizer to keep you awake. Eat before going on a long journey. Tastes bitter.
• Rosemary & Thyme - If mixed together and applied to a cat's fur, makes a fantastic flea repellent -- fleas hate the smell.
• Burdock Root, Cobwebs, & Horsetail - Used to treat infection in rat bites.
• Tansy, Watermint, & Feverfew - Strengthening Herbs.
•Comfrey & Nettle - Use to soothe wrenched muscles.
•Feverfew & Culver's Root - Used for when a cat takes a dip in cold water to ward off chills.
Non-Herbal Medicine
• Cobwebs - Used as a bandage for bleeding wounds. Gathered and pressed into wounds to stop bleeding. Generally only used with wounds that risk bleeding heavily as they can cause increased risk of infection
• Honey - Soothes infection and, if swallowed, will sooth sore throats. Particularly good for smoke inhalation. A sweet, golden liquid created by bees. Difficult to collect without getting stung, but great for soothing infections or the throats of cats who have breathed smoke.
• Mouse Bile - Mouse bile is used to make ticks release their grip on a cat. Dab a little moss soaked in bile on a tick and it'll fall right off. Wash paws thoroughly in running water afterward.
• Wild Garlic - Rolling in this herb can help to keep infection out of wounds. It is also good for rat bites. Also used for fleas.
• Rushes - Used to set a broken bone in place.
Other Non-Herbal Treatments 1. Gently nipping a cat's spine or poking it hard with a claw tests to see if the backbone is broken. If the subject does not feel the nip or poke, then the spine is broken. Many times a medicine cat will have to poke/nip the subject multiple times in different places to find the break.
2. Licking a cat's fur can help clean wounds, comfort/calm down a shocked or grieving cat, and warm a cat who has become very cold. (Lick the cat's fur the wrong way to do this. The last method is most often used on kits.)
3. Soaking moss in water and holding the dripping moss before a sick, injured or weak cat makes it easier for them to drink. Soaked moss can also be used to cool feverish cats.
4. Rosemary or mint can be used to lighten the death-scent of a dead cat before burial.
5. Using nectar, honey or mouse blood can make herbs sweeter and more appealing to cats--therefore making it easier to take the medicine.
6. Holding a swelling wound in cold water takes down swelling. Cats can also soothe scraped pads by soaking them in water.
7. If a cat has injured a limb or muscle, gentle exercises can be given to gradually strengthen the cat. These exercises can be things like stretching out, rearing up on the hind legs, playing catch with a ball of moss, or flexing the injured limb.
8. Having a sick cat wail or yowl keeps their lungs and chest clear of mucus.
9. If a cat turns up with a thorn in their paw, lick the area around the thorn to loosen it, then grasp with teeth and pull. Disinfect the wound and wrap with cobwebs afterwards.
10. If a cat has a dislocated limb, have them lay down on the ground. Grab the limb with the teeth while holding the cat with paws, and then pull hard. There should be a click as the leg gets back into place. Afterwards, let the cat rest and recover, and give them pain relievers.
11. When a queen is giving birth, give the queen a short stick to bite down on when she feels pain.
12. If there is nothing else available, wounds can be packed with ferns or snow.
13. To get sand or seeds out of a cat’s eye, gently hold the eyelids up with one paw. With the other, clean out the eye with a clump of damp moss. Have the cat blink and rub their eyes repeatedly to dislodge any already loosened debris.
Other Herbs To Keep in the Medicine Den
Note: ONLY use these herbs for self-defense against a cat who is a danger to all the Clans, or if a cat from your own Clan asks for a quick, painless path to StarClan while on his or her deathbed.
• Holly Berries: A poisonous berry. Cats die almost instantly if they are consumed. If consumption if not intentional, use yarrow to get the berries out of the cat's stomach.
• Nightshade - Has dark green leaves. There is three types of nightshade. Black nightshade is the most common. It has dark purple berries. Another kind has lighter red berries. Use yarrow as treatment just as death berries.
• Deathberries (Yew) - Fatally poisonous berries that can kill in a matter of minutes. NEVER give to a cat. If a cat is beyond saving, however, you may give them deathberries so they will be killed instantly and suffer no pain. If a cat eats them, then scoop all the berry leftovers out of their mouth. Then force them to swallow yarrow. The victim will vomit out most of the poison, but not all of it. They will be very sick for the next few days. Has dark green leaves and scarlet berries.
• Water Hemlock: Causes writhing and foaming at the mouth. May be deadly if not expelled fast enough.
The berries listed above can also be used as traps for dangerous predators. (Snakes, mountian lions, foxes, badgers, etc.) Stuff a piece of fresh-kill with these berries and set it near the predator's den. They will die quickly and painlessly.
Useful Medicine Cat-Related Terms

Additional Information: Bellyaches and cramps are very common and normally easy to treat. In some cases, you won’t even need herbs to cure it, just a long rest and a drink of fresh water. Watermint is the best cure for bellyaches.

Additional Information: Recovery time and exercises is needed to fully heal after a broken bone. The same goes for sprains and strains, but they are less severe. A more severe injury is when a cat breaks their backbone. This results in the cat being unable to feel or move parts of their body. If the break is bad enough the cat will be killed on or shortly after impact.

Additional Information: A poultice of herbs to stop infection should be applied first. Then the wound should be sealed and checked regularly until fully healed. Minor wounds heal on their own in no time, but severe wounds must be treated by a medicine cat. This treatment includes cleaning it thoroughly with the tongue, stopping the bleeding by pressing cobwebs or moss on it, and applying poultices to prevent infection and help it to heal. Herbs used in the poultices often include goldenrod, marigold. If the wound becomes infected, chervil or horsetail is used as well. The pain can be eased with poppy seeds or willow bark.

Additional Information: Yarrow is the most effective cure for poison, inducing vomiting to get the poison out of a cat’s body. Eating some herbs can cause deadly poisoning, so watch out. If only a small quantity of poison is ingested, the cat usually just receives a bellyache, but larger amounts can cause death. Medicine cats treat these bellyaches with yarrow or nettle leaves, while mild bellyaches can be treated with juniper or watermint. If a cat has been severely poisoned they may become unconscious for a length of time.

These conditions usually end their career as a warrior, as they cannot hunt or fight efficiently, and must retire as elders. Kits born with defects usually die young, unless they have special skills compensating it. Kits that are white with blue eyes have a higher chance of being born deaf.

Ravenheart feels the sun on her back, burning throughout her fur, warming her body from the cold night. She slowly gets up, stretching and yawning. She inhales deeply and exhales, the herbs soothing her. She looks over to the empty nest near hers, Thank star clan no one is hurt currently. She flickers her tail, and walks into the warm clearing, the birds melody cheering the morning on. She looks at Swanstars den, then back at the warriors. "I guess I woke up early today." She says to herself.

Swanstar padded out from her den, yawning and stretching. She hopped down the steps to the clearing and nodded at Ravenheart, "Good morning Ravenheart, is there anything you need today?" She sat down in a sunny patch and warmed herself. At the sound of Lionkit's yowl, she chuckled and watched as he ran headfirst into Ravenheart. "Such a spirited young kit." Swanstar murmured. She stood up and shook out her fur, "Well, I'd better get Sandyclaw, it's his turn to patrol with me today."
Embersong slowly came out of the warriors den, heading straight for the fresh-kill pile and grabbing a small mouse. She dipped her head at Swanstar and Ravenheart before going to a shaded area underneath the Rock Ledge to eat. She stifled a laugh watching Lionkit race out of the nursery, shaking her head at the small kits antics.
Lionkit raced out from the nursery, turning back and yowling at Spottedkit, "Come on, we hafta get the big bad mouse!" He ran straight into Ravenheart. "I'm sorry Ravenheart! Oooh, what are ya talking about?"

Sandyclaw slipped out of the warriors den and fluffed out his fur. A few pieces of moss clung to it and he shook them off immediately. Quickly, he washed himself and ran his paws over his ears. "I heard my name." Sandyclaw meowed as he looked up to the group of cats in the camp.
Maplefrost stalked into the camp entrance having been out overnight. Narrowing her eyes as she spotted the group of cats, she walked towards the fresh kill pile to grab a bite to eat. I don't like other cats. I don't like anyone. Why haven't I left? Longing surged through her as she thought of her dead father. Because you're a loyal warrior. That's why you won't leave. A small voice inside her urged but she ignored it.
Spottedkit dashed after Lionkit, stumbling over her large paws. She nearly rolled into the fellow kit but was able to stop herself just in time. "Hello!" She squeaked, looking at all the cats.

Lionkit paused and looked up at Ravenheart, waiting for her to reprimand him.

Ravenheart jumps a bit, then smiles. "Good Morning to you too, Lionkit." I lick his cheek, and grab a bite of a vole staring straight at me. "Good Morning, Swanstar, Embersong." I smile at Sandyclaw, and Spottedkit. She adjusts her long fur, as to where Lionkit hit it. "I love kits. Somehow, they make the hearts of the clan." She sniffs the air, her vole filling it.

Embarrassment flooded through Sandyclaw and he quickly shook his head to get rid of the clingy moss. "Is it gone?" He asked, trotting closer to the group of cats and smiling down at the kits.
Spottedkit smiled back at Sandyclaw before looking back to Lionkit. "Don't worry, she's nice." She whispered, loud enough for the others to hear.
Maplefrost's ears pinned against her head but she nodded sullenly. "Is anyone else going to join us?" She asked gruffly.

Fire paw claws out of the Apprentice den, weary-eyed. He was always a late-riser. He lets out a small, "Good morning everyone." He dips his head in Swanstars direction, and plops on the floor, scooting a small mouse in his direction. "Lionkit, Spottedkit, I can't wait for you guys to become apprentices with me. We can go hunting together!" He smiles, the thought waking him up.

Ravenheart laughs at Sandyclaw. "I think it's all gone, Mossclaw," She jokes. She takes another bite of her vole, and asks, "How are you this morning, Maplefrost?"

Sandyclaw quickly nodded and tried to hide the embarrassment that flooded over his face yet again.
Maplefrost shrugged, uninterested in conversation. "The same as always I guess. How about you?"
Alderpaw crept out of the apprentices den, fur spiky atop his head. He nodded to the cats in the clearing and walked slowly to the freshkill pile.

Swanstar let out a purring laugh, "Yes, you got it all, though maybe you should check the backs of your ears too. She flicked her tail up and a small clump of moss flew off. "Get some food and then we can go Sandyclaw, I won't hold this against you, too much anyways." Swanstar let out a mrow of amusement.
Lionkit licked his chest in embarrassment, "Let's go see if we can get that big mean mouse now Spottedkit!" He meowed, and started stalking towards the fresh-kill pile in a very bad imitation of a hunter's crouch.
Embersong shook her head, "Maybe Swanstar will come, I don't know."
(I will wait to decide who gets who as apprentices until we have more people)

Ravenheart sighs, "I mean, another day is another day to be here, alive," she smiles. "Swanstar, I'm going to be heading out to restock some herbs, if that is okay with you." She finishes the last bites of her vole, and buries the carcass.
Firepaw takes a bite of the mouse he lazily picked out, and the flavor hits his mouth, in astonishment. "I remember the first time I had fresh-kill, I pretty much almost fainted it wa so good!" He grooms a few out of place hairs before returning to his mouse. He laughs at the mouse, it had died with crossed-eyes. I mean, thank starclan for this prey.... but look at it! he kept on laughing out loud, keeps the joke to himself.

Sandyclaw nodded and turned to the fresh kill pile. He picked out a small mouse and swallowed it in a couple of bites. Trotting back to Swanstar, he said, "I'm ready to go."
Spottedkit copied him as she adored and looked up to him. "We are going to get that big meanie and rip it to shreds!" She whispered, glaring at the fresh kill pile.
Maplefrost dipped her head, her ears pinned to her head. "Maybe one of the apprentices will want to come."

Alderpaw smiled at Lionpaw but remained silent. He picked out a thrush for himself and settled down to eat.

Ravenheart smiles, and heads back to her den. She sorts through the decaying herbs, and the ones that are fresher. She oplaces all the decaying ones onto a large leaf, to make it easier for disposal. More yarrow, marigold,cobwebs,catmint...
Firepaw licks the last few pieces of meat off of the small mouse, and copies Ravenheart, buring his meal. Please take this mouse, despite it's funny looks, and how I've made fun of it. He fixes his fur after eating, and fixes his nest.

Swanstar walked towards the entrance to the camp. "Alderpaw, I need you to go see if Ravenheart has anything for you to do. Firepaw, you can go on the sunset patrol with Embersong and Maplefrost." She meowed looking at all of them, then she flicked her tail towards Sandyclaw and disappeared through the entrance.
Lionkit jumped on the fresh-kill pile, and started attacking a mouse, "AH! Spottedkit, it's got me!!" He yowled.
Embersong nodded at Maplefrost and went to sit elsewhere, she didn't want the other she-cat to be uncomfortable.

Alderpaw nodded and turned to the medicine cat's den. As he padded in fear struck him. I don't wanna speak to Ravenheart! How am I going to get my message across? Guess I'll have to speak a little bit. Sighing, he continued forward and entered the den full of herb scents. "Dyah need help?" Alderpaw whispered, not looking up at the medicine cat as he spoke.
"I'll save you Lionkit!" Spottedkit squealed as she dragged the mouse off of her friend. Growling, she bit the mouse on its neck. "I think I killed it Lionkit!"

Ravenheart smiled at the 'shy' Tom. She nudges his head upwards and says, "Thank you for asking, sweetie." She pushes over the small bundle of rotting leaves and roots and says, "If you could dispose of these somehow, you'd be amazing. I don't want them to stink up the camp."
Firepaw makes his nest perfectly round, and trots back into the center of camp. "I'm going out to get feathers, I feel like making nests right now. Anyone want feathers in their nest? I need to now at least how many I should get."

Spottedkit puffed her little chest out proudly. "Now the big bad mouse is dead!" She yowled triumphantly.
Alderpaw nodded and grabbed the leaves under his chin and in his jaws. As he walked out of the medicine den he heard Firepaw asking the cats if they wanted feathers for their nests. Alderpaw waved his tail and hoped Firepaw could see him. Now how am I going to dispose of these? Aha! With an idea in his mind, the apprentice trotted out of camp. There he set down his bundle and began to dig. Once he had a big enough hole he shoved the herbs into the ground and covered them with the dirt. Nodding to himself, Alderpaw crept back into camp.

Ravenheart sorted through the last few herbs and sighed. Okay... I guess I should get the new herbs now.She walks out of the den, repeating which she needs. She waves goodbye with her tail, and starts the hunt for herbs.
Firepaw nods at Alderpaw, though he can't see it. I mean, who wouldn'twant feathers? "I might be gone for awhile... Feathers for everyone!" He triumphantly cheered out. He darts out of camp, without waiting for a responses. where are they... feathers can't be that hard to find. "Aha!"
