Merlinpaw rolled out of his nest with a disgruntled expression, the faint dawn light filtered through the entrance of the apprentices' den where he slept. Dawn light - dawn patrol! The tabby tom apprentice leapt to his paws and bounded out of the den, stepping on a couple of tails but managing to make his way outside without any disasters. He pelted over to where he could see some of his other Clanmates, luckily they hadn't left yet! "Hey, can I come?" he asked hopefully.
/rushed! I suck at starting off. Ravenpaw is still sound asleep also - she and her mentor wouldn't be awake at this time xD
Also, could someone have one of their cats mentor Merlinpaw?

(We have about 4 cats that could mentor but the two people that rp as 3 of them them one hasn't posted and the other just hasn't been here for a little. If you want Icestar can mentor Merlinpaw.)

Icestar walked out of his den nearly collapsing. He heard Sagemint. "What?" He was confused as to what he missed.

Ooh, Merlinpaw would like that! xD let's go with that, she can push him. If he isn't challenged he might cause trouble… that's just who he is.
Merlinpaw looked crestfallen. He clearly hadn't been heard. "Me? I want to help." he called out again, taking a few paw steps closer to Sagemint. It was odd, no-one really wanted the dawn patrol duty - yet wasn't it so exciting to be out in the early morning? Anything could happen on a patrol - what if there were rogues to chase off, or they found a sign that the border-clans had trespassed?
The tabby apprentice jumped, surprised, as Icestar padded up beside him. The big white tom was still half-asleep, maybe he hadn't seen Merlinpaw? "Good morning, Icestar," he greeted his mentor.

Sagemint whipped around to see his Clan leader. Dipping his head in a show of respect he gave a curt meow. "Good morning, Icestar! I was just asking if anyone would like to go on a patrol. I need to stretch m legs."

Sagemint looked astonished. "Of course! You can join any patrol you like!" He focused on the young apprentice. "Ready, Merlinpaw?"

Merlinpaw smiled widely, almost skipping in his excitement at going somewhere. "Are we going to do some training after the patrol?" he asked Icestar eagerly.

it's just that i have a lot going on, and for the next two weeks i will too, so i still will be more than likely inactive. i'm not sure how soon i can respond, so maybe it'll be best for me not to get too involved in the role-play right now. i don't want to keep everyone waiting for Falconpaw if I don't have time to answer. c; }}
