Then he paused and looked around. "And maybe once we get back, if you'd still like to help, we can straighten up the den a little bit?" "Alright," said Hickoryfoot, who felt like she was saying that a lot. "Lead the way." She walked after the medicine cat, ducking her head as she exited. She wasn't really sure she wanted to pay attention to the new rogues in the clan. Not until she knew what to think of them. So instead she focused on following Rainflight. |

SparrowHollowstar was glad that Dayscar agreed with him somewhat on his decision. He thought about it for a momen. "Well I was thinking maybe you, Galaxyfur, me, and perhaps any other warrior that has to stay in camp for a while. Hopefully it shouldn't be too much work and they won't cause any trouble." -- mintedstar/furRainflight grinned and continued to lead the way. "By the way, I thank you for doing this," he meowed, glancing over at her. "I didn't expect you to do this, but it is a lot of help. I really hope you don't mind." As soon as he exited camp, he quickened the pace a little as he headed towards the river.

Dayscar's ears lifted higher at the mention of more than two cats. Shifts. Of course. That was an obvious solution that seemed to have eluded her somehow. She relaxed further, her tenseness melting away and her mind felt lighter at solving the problem.
"That sounds fine," She mewed approvingly and offered, "Perhaps Specter? Her shoulder was injured pretty bad, so she shouldn't be doing anything too strenuous for a bit. As a former loner, she also could give us an outside perspective."

mintedstar/fur Rainflight grinned and continued to lead the way. "By the way, I thank you for doing this," he meowed, glancing over at her. "I didn't expect you to do this, but it is a lot of help. I really hope you don't mind." As soon as he exited camp, he quickened the pace a little as he headed towards the river. "You're welcome," answered Hickoryfoot. She hadn't had anything else to do, and she thought her apprentice deserved a break, so helping the medicine cat seemed like a good idea. "I don't mind at all, so don't worry." She also quickened her pace, to match his, as they left camp. Her eyes hardly looked to see where they were going, she just followed. |

We'll tell them that there must be one of our warriors with them at all time." -- mintedstar/furRainflight eventually slowed to a stop beside some tall yellow weeds. "Alright, here is the goldenrod. We just need a few of them for now," he meowed, looking at Hickoryfoot once before biting the stem carefully. He started a small pile beside him. "Okay, once you get a few we'll head back to camp. I might come back out later to collect a few more herbs, but they're farther out."

I might come back out later to collect a few more herbs, but they're farther out." Hickoryfoot hesitated for a second before she bit a few stalks of goldenrod. She tried to bite them off the same way that Rainflight was, just to make sure she wasn't doing it wrong. "Okay," she mumbled through a mouthful of the herb. "Tell me when we have enough and I'll help you carry them." She blinked a couple of times, smiling. |

mintedstar/furRainflight soon stopped, now separating the pile into two smaller ones. He then nodded, looking over at her. "This should be plenty," he commented, offering her a smile. After a moment, he picked up one of the piles, glancing back at her before heading off towards the camp.

brokenHickoryfoot took up a bundle of herbs, her mouth straining to lift everything. Her fur prickled a little and she started to follow the medicine cat with also trying to make sure she didn't trip over a...leaf or something. She couldn't see her paws at all through this. So she followed him, hoping they'd reach the camp soon, and trying not to sneeze as a stalk brushed over her nose.

Dayscar nodded and left the den. Her eyes locked onto the loners, and she shoved down the distrust that churned in her stomach. She would be civil. These were potential clanmates. She took a calming breath and padded over, giving Galaxyfur a thankful nod for watching them.
Turning her gaze to the strangers she meowed crisply, "Hollowstar and I have reached a decision."
She looked to her leader for him to give the verdict. She didn't mind explaining and assigning the details, but it felt appropriate for him to present his plan.

Galaxyfur let out a relieved sigh, dipping her head in return to the deputy. She wondered whether the two outsiders would be sent away, or if they would be allowed to stay within the clan. Her fur tingled in anticipation as she fixed her gaze on Hollowstar, her claws kneading the earth.

mintedstar/furRainflight glanced over at the warrior every so often just to make sure she was keeping up. He was glad that he had someone who was willing to help him- that made his job a lot easier. The tom pushed his way I to camp and immediately headed for his den, soon entering. "Follow me to the storage," he said, his voice muffled by the herbs as he zigzagged past a few of the scattered plants on the ground before making it to the storage, placing the herbs down. -- Sparrow, CinderBrook, FernHollowstar took a seat in front of them, wrapping his tail around his paws. His gaze moved from the warriors, then to the loners. "We have concluded that you two will be allowed to stay at our camp for a few days, however you must be accompanied by one of our warriors at all times," he explained, pausing for a moment before continuing. "After a few days, I will hold a meeting and decide whether it would be best for you two to stay or not. Honeymint and Hoppaw, do. you accept this offer?"

"We have to be followed by your warr-" he protested but was broken off by HoneyMint basically shoving him over
"We are grateful for your kindness" she mewed dipping here head to the TimeClan leader "Please excuse HopPaw he hasn't been in a clan for some time now" she mewed calmly watching HopPaw sit back up from his meeting with the dirt
"HoneyPaw what did you do that for!" he whispered angrily in her ear
HoneyMint simply ignored him

After a little careful pawwork, she set her mouthful of herbs by his. |

Hollowstar didn't seem too pleased at first, especially by Hoppaw's attitude. Either way, the tom nodded, looking at each of them in turn. "Very well, then you shall do whatever it is you please." He glanced over at his deputy for a moment, then at Galaxyfur. "Would you like to take the first watch? Then once you're tired, please switch off with another warrior."

"Good," Rainflight muttered,pushing the herbs farther back into the storage before heading out of the area. He said over his shoulder st her, "you may leave if you wish, or you could help me clean up the den a bit. It's been a mess ever since the fox attack." The tom was already separating old herbs from the new ones, setting them by the enterance of the den.

Galaxyfur's tailtip twitched irritably as she listened to her leader's decision. If it had been up to her, she would have chased Honeymint and Hoppaw out of their territory at the first oppurtunity. But the warrior knew that she had to respect Hollowstar's decision, whatever that meant for her. She dipped her head to Hollowstar, "Of course," she mewed.

She could fetch and carry, but sorting would require a little extra help. She sniffed a few, possibly trying to figure out if you could tell by smell alone. |

Galazyfur nodded stiffly. She didn't want to get too friendly with these cats, but she also knew that she couldn't treat them like prisoners. "Should we continue fixing the camp wall?" the warrior asked Hollowstar, "or would you like us to do another task?" |
