Raventail trailed his apprentice at a distance, wanting to watch her work. Observing without interfering would make it easier to make suggestions. He also scented the air himself, ensuring that Lightningpaw was heading the right way.

Duckstep stretched and watched the clan move around him. He wasn't assigned to anything and was bored to say the least. Sighing he rubbed at his muzzle with a paw and took advantage of the shade around him.
Ebonypaw and Hallowpaw both stumbled out of the apprentice den. The leaned tiredly against each other and blinked blearily in the sun. They had done a late patrol and both were still pretty tired, though Hallowpaw was already starting to recover. His brother was much slower at it and still looked like he wanted to be asleep.

She walked across the busy camp, depositing her catch on the fresh-kill pile. Hot and tired, she took to a spot of shade at the edge of the camp. "Do you mind if I sit here?" She asked its user, Duckstep. "It's pretty hot today--Though it's not like I didn't expect it. I really hope it's going to rain soon. This drought is getting on my nerves." |

Duckstep nodded "Go ahead." he glanced up at the cloudless sky and sighed "I agree with you there, the clan is starting to get unsettled due to the lack of prey and water." without rain stress would get high within the clan. And their leader was weakening as well.

hey Dew, do you there is now room for two more apprentices?? we got more warriors. including the three that will be apprentices and Windpaw and Cloudpaw and the warriors with out apprentices(6 and not including my own charaters) there would be enough mentors and only one( not including my own charaters wich two of the three litter mates can be mentored by)that would not have an apprentice( not including my charaters))

{{ well the problem is that I don't want anyone to mentor their own cat, or have more than one apprentice. however, I suppose if you're planning on killing off one of the two, I guess it would be alright.... but after that we really are closed until some of the apprentices become warriors }}

Windpaw's mouth tasted sour. The only source of water for the past moon was dirty puddles. Windpaw felt irritable from the heat of the day, and it wasn't even mid day yet! Her brother, Cloudpaw lay beside her a a scrap of shade the size and leangth of his tail. Windpaw stood up," i want to go hunting!" she diclared. Cloudpaw looked up at her," Why?" he asked," Cause i am hot there might be some shade in the forest!" she growled, the heat making her short tempered. Cloudpaw shook his head,"I would wait till Mid Day to go in the forest to look for shade," he meowed, but Windpaw just shook her head," And melt into a puddle! No way! I am going hunting," she got up and stretched, the dust swirled into a cloud and Windpaw started to caugh. Cloudpaw just frowned," i dodn't beleive cats can melt into puddles...," he meowed, then saw his sister caughing," you got to get slower, or you'll stir up the dust like that into a cloud and it'll get in your throught," Cloudpaw slowly stood up, careful not to stir up the dust to much," like this," he meowed. Windpaw just stopped caughing and glared at him," whatever, you coming?" she asked and started to pad towards the camp entrance," Shure," Cloudpaw meowed and leaped after her.

Russetheart lifted her head. She saw the brother and sister, Windpaw and Cloudpaw starting off into the forest. The she-cat pushed herself up. She walked over and nudged her Leopardwing on the shoulder. "C'mon." She mewed, "The apprentices are going hunting, and so should we."
Leopardwing groaned. "Let me sleep." Mumbled the tortoiseshell.
Russetheart poked her with her paw. "Let's go!" She meowed again.
Sighing, Leopardwing got up, and walked out of the warriors den, with Russetheart following.

Darkheart stayed as quiet as he could in his hiding spot. He strained to hear anyone coming.
Blackdawn finished her prey and licked her lips. The she-cat was thirsty, but water was becoming sparse with the drought.

Windpaw turned to see Russetheart and a sleepy Leopardwing flollowing them. Cloudpaw purred," you hunting with us?" he asked, Windpaw rolled her eyes, she hadn't really been planning to hunt much but to just rest in the shade of the trees, but what was done was done.

Hollowpaw and Ebonypaw followed the group. Hollowpaw jumped up and fell into step beside them "We wanna come! Ebonypaw thought we should get some water for the nursery." Ebonypaw wouldn't voice his own thoughts to the group but Hollowpaw had no problem doing it himself.

" thats a good idea," Cloudpaw meowed. Windpaw sighed," the more the marier," she grumbled and turned and started to pad into the forest. The shade of the forest was nicer and she started to relax, if she could just get a drink of decent water then she would be perfect," Wait up for us Windpaw!" Cloudpaw called, if not for my brother.
Cloudpaw didn't know why Windpaw was acting so sour, yeah it was hot but you comtural our own actions. Cloudpaw pounded forward towards his sister," Cheer up! We're in the shade now, thats what you wanted," he meowed, but his sister just rolled her eyes," i wanted to rest in the shade mouse brain!" she hissed as the others caught up. Cloudpaw was now confused, Windpaw had clearly said that she wanted to go hunt, but now she said she wanted to just lay in the shade? He shook his head to clear it and followed his sister into the woods.
